Just one comment here; characters are either a part of the Pantheon, even if they aren't in the inner circle (they swore fealty to Aroesus somewhere down the line, forced or not) or they are on an Island in Lake Sharzunates. Aroesus didn't let indies just run the hell around his kingdom. Everyone swore an oath. Not everyone showed up to Krona on a regular basis. You get the idea. He was the undisputed law.

This looks really cool, and sort of reminds me of an awesomely successful RP on the old site.

I'm interested, and if I can decide on a God to play, I'll write up a sheet within the next day or two! :D

I might drop a few of you PMs with questions regarding collaborations and all that good stuff, and I'll jump in the chat at some stage to say hi, too!

I got a brief CS up, but it's still a BIG WIP. I was just wondering if you guys could take a look and give me your thoughts on how it's developing so far! :)

Well, our characters patronage's overlap quite significantly so we're likely to be in conflict, but that's fine.

Well, I'm handing that deity over to someone. But I wanted that specific deity in the game for plot purposes, so I wrote her out to a degree. Also, I felt a good knowledge deity ought to be a thing of fear.

Is that someone already decided?

EDIT: Check that, any of the other requested roles still free?

Yes. Here's a list of what's been approved and what needs modification but is on the verge of approval and what roles are taken. I crossed those roles out in the character sheet thread.

Approved:

- Nanaeios (Asuras)
- Mikazliqui (Dead Cruiser)
- Morios (MelonHead)
- Vael and Nys (Ruby)

Needing Modification

- Metanoia (Crazy Guy) - Look, no one knows who did Aroesus. That'd be too potent a knowledge to have. As a general note, deities are not infallible in their portfolios. They are especially good at what they do, but they do not possess omnipotence or omniscience. Deities pooling resources (as in the Assassination) can overcome these huge advantages that deities have in dealing with their portfolios. Remember how Baldur died? That.

- Dareos (Squrmy) -- Maybe a little too much overlap with Morios there, but only in the 'master of pleasures' sense. Perhaps if you made him a deity of trade and mercantalism? You can still bicker over whose the patron of hookers from differing perspectives that way. "Master of Avarice?" perhaps? "The Tradesman?"

Requests no longer active:

- Dionysian figure, master of pleasures.
- Deity that runs the underworld.

Character approvals are now linked and up on the OP for ease of navigation. If I didn't rule on a sheet yet, it's because I'm waiting for them to be finished enough to substantially rule on the concept.

Edit: Apologies, Hellis, yes the RP is still very much open to new arrivals.

I wouldn't mind some manner of sun deity to be Mikazliqui's arch-nemesis.

@HeySeuss-
First: Edited Metanoia's history concerning the assassination with the intent to get him involved in the plot. Hope that satisfies you.
Second: Is it possible for a player to make another character sheet?
Third: I just remembered today that, since we're dealing with a more Greek/Norse/Mesopotamian-style pantheon, we the players are likely dealing with a morally-neutral Order/Chaos dichotomy. The gods, however just or unjust they are, rule and maintain order throughout the world against the stranger, primordial chaos. Old orders are replaced by new ones, and new orders become old. So, with this in mind, I have a question:

If the Pantheon is the order, who/what is the chaos in this world? How do they affect the universe of the RP? Do they try to take advantage of these regime changes, since they cause so much strife and discord? Have they been vanquished/sealed away, or have the pantheons forgotten about it/them and it/they will show up again to mess things up? Do they just not care if the forces of chaos exist? Or do they actively deny the existence of the Force of Chaos?

The pantheon only sort of represents order. It's an imposed order. The deities are not intrinsically orderly.

Anyway, the most vital character role is unfilled -- that is the heir apparent of Aroesus.

Anyone joining needs to consider that role very carefully, please.

Nah.

In fact, a female heir throws it all into a bit more confusion as misogyny takes over.

I was writing a sheet for a "Deity that sees the dead to the underworld." Do you want me to make the heir instead?
