@Doc Doctor He has no leads to work with, and knows full well that Donny wants the Red Claw to come to him at a pre-designated time anyway. He might as well go on with his usual patrolling for the night, and handle the situation with Donny when the time comes. Would you not agree?

Erm... Alright. Problem is they'll likely never meet face to face, as Donny wouldn't hang around any of the schools he wiped out and with his nihilistic attitude, the only thing that could draw him out would be something that he saw as a perfectly one sided chance to kill even more people for money.

@Doc Doctor ...did he not just set up a plan to try and kill Red Claw that'd involve his presence? Then again, I suppose he is a pathological liar... hmm. I'll think about how we can progress that plotline, then.

There's really no way to know, that's the problem. Everything Donny does is iffy. Perhaps he could be weeded out of hiding by a dozen vigilantes methodically and carefully combing an area for traps in a tightening circle, but even then it's a big gamble.

Best advice I can give is don't be afraid to fight like scum. I'm talking "Jump out of the shadows with an Uzi and try to unload a clip point blank from behind" dirty. If Donny hadn't been distracted and blown his own cover when he first saw Red Claw (he was whistling and strolled out into the open), he'd have absolutely tried to kill Claw as quickly and as cheaply as possible.

The chance to kill Donny will come sooner or later.
