"We'll just have to see how things go then." 'John' answered, glancing over at what might have been yet another round of drama from the red flag couple and the innocent bystanders. Thankfully before the situation could devolve further, the school bell rang and heralded the start of the school year!

"Speak of the devil... Guess we'll find out sooner rather then later, won't we?" 'John' said with surprising good cheer as he started to walk towards the doors of the building. Hopefully things would improve during the day!

As Lucidian and Jennifer got near the crowd of people, the bell rang to let everybody into the hallways before they managed to enter the crowd. Everybody would push, shove, and rush into the hallways even though we had to time to get to our destinations. From the pair going over a little late they didn't have to deal with getting thrown around like some game of hot potato. Other students behind them would occasionally slip past, but they made sure to keep out of other's way while going around.

"I'll meet you in class, alright?" Jen would tell Lucas over the noise. They fortunately had all the same classes together this year but far away lockers, having them separated just about every passing period. Luke's locker was near the entrance so he just took a few more steps until he got to his area. He'd look around while leaning on the locker with one hand. Just about everybody was distracted...

He'd turn back to the door and used his free hand to seem like he was unlocking it, when he really was motioning some basic angel techniques that took up little energy to do, swinging the door open after seconds. Sure, he could've simply opened it using the code, but most of the time on the first day that would take forever to get right, or the locker wouldn't work that way! With a grin he continued on shoving around his supplies, taking the ones he needed to the classroom.

Jennifer, however, was having the usual difficulty with her locker at the beginning of the school year. Miss a number the first time, couldn't grip the locker correctly, forget to turn to a certain number entirely - the real stress hasn't even begun yet. She soon just got tired of doing it and shifted her backpack to the front of her body, zipping open her bag and secretly casting something onto the locker. To any normal person they'd see a girl messing with her book bag, but to monsters... well, definitely not something healthy, that's for sure.

A mini explosion would seem to blast from the locker, both having loud sound and a bright light flashing from the cracks. Even Lucidian would make a small wince as he went around the hallways, recognizing the familiar sound from his angel book. As it settled Jen would open her locker - like she managed to on her last try and only checked stuff in her bag, put away her supplies, and continued on to first period with her neat binder.

Jacob walks into the school not having much trouble making his way through the press of students rushing for their lockers. Afterall he is rather large, strong and well respected. He has his eyes on the pair now Lucidian and Jennifer both rubbing him wrong, albeit in slightly different ways. He opens his locker with ease, and begins to place books into it and pull various things out of it. But his eyes flick every couple of seconds towards the others, he was afterall told to watch here for a reason.

He notices some odd reactions from the people around him, eyes flicking towards one of the duo her already suspects. But for now he has to play the observation game, learn more before he strikes and eliminates the threat. He closes his locker with a dull thud and turns to walk away from his locker, battle plans already starting to run through his head.

Karen had recomposed herself and the girls went back to talking, but she remained--to Candy's pleasure--quiet. Students walked around their group and an occasional male with defined arms would stop to chit chat, compliment Candy on the ~new look~, and keep walking. If he was cute enough, the girls would all giggle together. "Anyway, I gotta get to class. Daddy will kill me if I fail this quarter," one explained before walking off. And the group sighed and moaned in agreement, then--

Bam!

Candy gasped, her hands quickly covering her ears and she struggled to stand standing but somehow managed, even in her heels. "What the--" she groaned, black eyes immediately flickering to the source. She glared, only realizing the mortals didn't hear or see a thing when her friends questioned her strange behavior. She blinked, her eyes blue again as she looked back to her group, still a little overwhelmed. They were eyeing her strangely.

"Ah... Sudden headache," she explained lamely with a nervous smile. The girls seemed concerned but were complacent as they scurried off to class, leaving Candy to scowl to herself. "Hmph!" she huffed. She would have slammed her own locker shut, but she chose to watch the girl who caused the noise carefully.

Riddley stood out like a sore thumb, earning stares of awe from underclassmen. Wild hair, cut off shorts. If it wasn't for Candy's gaggle, she could probably contend for little miss popular. But, another senior saw different potential: "Hey, you're new. You into sports?" a girl asked, looking lean and toned if shorter than Riddley. She was cute, too, her eyes alight with curiosity.

"Oh, uh, I don't really have the time for 'em," she explained, shrugging modestly. Riddley was struggling to find a way out of this conversation--she wasn't keen on making too many friends. Her gaze was caught by the commotion down the hall: some blonde doubled over in sudden pain and she cocked an eyebrow. "What's that about? Who's that?" she asked.

The girl looked over, tilting her head. "I don't know maybe a cheer thing. That's Candace Cain. She's probably head cheerleader now-- Something's up with that guy too."

Riddley scowled and glanced back at Lucas just as he recovered. "Mm," she mused. "Kids these days and their drugs, amiright? See ya around." She dismissed herself from the conversation, finally heading to her locker while other kids were making their way to class. She would set up "home base" and contemplate whatever the fuck just happened.

@RainbowFactory@Bright_Ops Ashtoreth nodded. Yep, hopefully nothing insane happens on the first day. Ash told him as he walked off into the building to get slammed and shoved every few seconds. Marvelous. Ash ended up bashing a few people out of the way once or twice just to move a few feet. So many people here and they don't split them up with other sch- BOOM Ash flinched when he heard what sounded like a bomb go off and a flash of light blinding anyone who could see it. He didn't see the source of it due to the light but heard where it was coming from. Well that was easy. So someone has been revealed already. If only the light didn't blind Ash he might have been able to go home. Oh but no. Ash though Because that would just be easy for me wouldn't it? Ash just groaned and kept shoving through the endless hoard of people to get to one place and end up having to get to one more.
