Heaven or Hell?: Homestuck

So I'm just going to throw this one into the pond. I haven't seen anyone post an IC for a Homestuck roleplay in a very looooong time. That being said, if you hate it stay away from this; I don't want to deal with your negativity.

The pitch: This roleplay takes place in an alternate universe, call it a winner's universe from some cycle far before John's/Rose's/Dave's/Jade's if you want, in which the setting is considerably different. The basis is that the players will reside in one of two realms: Heaven or Hell. Naturally residents will be angelic or demonic based on where they are living, but both realms share a planet so players may have prior connections before getting taken into the game. This roleplay will be centered around actually winning SBURB and I will be playing some kind of GAME MASTER role (as I feel like some facilitation will be required in order for the game to run smoothly ex: Kings and Queens, Jack Noir..etc)

I do have a good bit of intro fleshed out currently but I will have to write a few more paragraphs up before it is anything coherent. I just decided to put this out there to see how much interest there actually is before wasting my time. So who's in?

What's the post size standard?

Is this just a human and troll deal?

Is heaven and hell going to be played as normal cities/planes with different scapes. I mean, like. If I'm in hell. Torturing people isn't going to be on the walls and shit. But it would have torture has a punishment and so on?

What references will be used for classes or is it all on feel?

Why the heaven and hell thing? I love Homestuck in all its absurdity, but it seems a bit contrived for the setting. Also, I hope you're not looking for an actually large group. Large groups for Homestuck RPs almost never get anywhere. Post rotation bloating is a prime killer.

@ScreenAcne Alright, I can see might be into it. Excellent. I'm looking for at least a couple of paragraphs per post (unless the situation is such that not much could be said) Player races will be humanoid angel or humanoid demon. There could be some small biological advantages to playing either one, but as far as cultural mannerisms go, the world is the players' oyster.

@Disciple Cain I wanna attempt to make the setting a little bit more interesting to start off with to maybe ass some spice to those early stages of the game. Obviously once the players are immersed in their own worlds it will be irrelevant. I'm looking for at least 6 players

Also how do Angels and Demons look? Are angels just Humans with wings? or will they be more alien? And will demons be like Tiefling from D&D? I personally like the idea of Angels being more alien looking compared to Demons if that's a possibility~

Though I'm not really confident in my ability to insert Trolls and humans into this. That's really why I went ahead and made the thread, to get some thoughts flowing!

I got my plot planter pondering that. Homestuck is about motherfucking. people and how they act with powers. The rest is just to accomodate and help explore people. That's like why. The troll romance was pertinent to the plot.

So if do something like heaven and hell. I can imagine it working in a derse/dream world way but not in a racial kind of way. Because we literally got, mothewrfucking. just good guy and bad guy races.

Which sort of pops the personality and having to chew the shoe when it comes dealing with folks with the right and the wrong.

@ScreenAcne once again good point. But I'll have to correct you on one point. Just because their called something that in our modern culture makes us think GOOD or EVIL, doesn't mean that they are that automatically.

Neither race, if we do end up with the Angelics and Demonics, are good or evil.

That said I'm perfectly open to the idea of playing humans and trolls, I just can't think of any way to put them in here and keep it fresh and interesting.

you mtoherfucking. know. you could literally just use the derse dreamers not any of those religious themes. You more or less get the same effect plot wise. It's all about seeing past origins, associations and learning that immediate effects don't relay the true personalities of people and shit.

with one more dark and grimy looking and the other more upbeat and so on.

Derse and Prospit could also be changed to have demons and angels living in/on them respectively
