Personality:
Rejecting the Boros, Boris has become chaotic. Something that has also taken its toll on his mind. He can be accurately described as unstable and loud. If you try to take away his music, 'violent' can be added to this list. He can be conversed with, but he generally won't stop making music.

History:
Boris has left the Boros legion for eventually "gaining the insight" that the Boros are overly zealous. Driven to the border of insanity by the legion's constant persecution, Boris --though barely-- managed to save his skin by joining the Rakdos. The terror of an army chasing him did leave its impact however as it caused him to develop an alternate persona with a lust for carnage and death. Switching between his normal personality and this persona, Boris lives in constant paranoia.

Turning to music to drown out his urges and thoughts, Boris quickly became dependant on the music. His first few battles after were rather unpleasant. Without music to preserve his mind, Boris quickly turned into a shivering ball of anguish. In a sober moment, he realized he could help himself in this regard. With this realization, Boris started making his own music, which, mixed with the melody of steel and screams, forms his solace.

2 - Specializing in riling up crowds with his music, he manages to make the already aggressive Rakdos members even more aggresive and wild. He's earned some recognition as a fighter, but since Rakdos isn't too interested in keeping order, who knows what these ranks even means?

-Without his music, Boris is likely to once more turn into a quivering mess. He has however found peace in the din of battle, so depending on the ferocity of battle he might function witout music.
-Boris can often be heard playing several kinds of music. Occasionally one might even hear him play one song while singing another.
-While in the legion he was an experienced hieromancer* but after his mind broke he found himself unable to use white magic. He does retain the knowledge however.

Appearance: Nicholas is a man of tall stature (6ft 2in) with a build that can be described as muscular among Izzet standards. His hair an auburn brown that while down to his ear is wild and unkempt looking more like a member of the Gruul then one of the Izzet. He is usually seen wearing a necklace made from vines weaved with metal which was a gift from his mother and father along with a pair of goggles used to shield his eyes from the brightness caused by the Izzet brand of magic.

His gear looks similar to the normal contraptions worn by Izzet members but he has made many an alteration to it, to make it both lighter and more durable than most if not all Izzet gear that is worn furthermore the gauntlets on his gear can be charged with his magic in order to create an electrical discharge that if refined can function as a way to charge devices or blow them up.

He prefers to wear Red and blue robes with a sprinkling of green under his gear and if one was to describe them they would look similar to blacksmiths in both form and functionality protect the wearer from heat (caused by flame or lightning).

Personality:

Nicholas is a what can be described as a somewhat outgoing individual who wishes to prove themselves to be the best at effectively everything that they can. They have a great love of life as a concept as it is through life that new inventions can be created further expanding the glory of knowledge. It is this passion that drives him to invent something spectacular, he hopes to one day invent something that all the guilds of Ravnica will use for the betterment of the entire city. He works hard to improve both his inventions and himself training both his mental and physical fortitude in order to be as clean as a well-structured Engine.

Due to his personality he only really dislikes one guilds methods in particular. Rakdos. The complete disregard of self for carnal pleasure is off-putting for him. As such he has an unbiased dislike of any Rakdos member regardless of who they are.

On the opposing spectrum, he is fond of both the Izzet and the Gruul mainly due to heritage reasons. He can deeply respect the Gruul's will to survive and the nature that they go about it. While savage it is undeniably effective. His respect for that guild is to the point that he will get annoyed at anyone calling the Gruul Simple or Savages taking it as a personal insult.

In combative scenarios, he is known to be in the thick of it. As if he was a Gruul Berserker but the similarities to the Gruul end there. Instead of throwing punches he throws magic. He has a tactical mind for combat, treating it as if it was a board game. Sometimes he might take a few minutes to make sure all the pieces slot perfectly into place resulting in victory. He is not one to care for collateral damage and why should he? he is an inventor, not a builder! However, he will attempt to make sure no life outside of what is necessary is lost in the conflict.

History:

Nick's birth was an eventful moment. Gruul clan and Izzet mages trying to get along somewhat haphazardly due to the marriage between the Gruul warrior Mia Thornfoot and Izzet guild-mage Lycan Thunderson. Imagine a band of muscular men and women armed with spears sitting down to have a cup of tea with people whom considered themselves the smartest in Ravnica. It was a particular sight and yet it was still less eventful than his parent's wedding, however. According to the stories, the reception caught fire due to one idiot from the Izzet thinking he could bring his inventions. That aside. With parents from such opposing guilds, Nicholas was always set to have quite the eventful life.

For instance, at 4 he began to learn magic. He was never really good at tapping into the power of the earth for anything. His mother understood that he didn't have enough 'green' in him to get there in order to be a strong Gruul mage. Though that didn't stop her from beginning to train him to be physically fit like a true Gruul warrior. His father, on the other hand, took the prospect of lecturing the boy in studies and the act of spellcraft. The parents together served as a pretty potent pair at turning Nick into the man he was today.

Upon reaching the age of 18 and the adulthood that came with it in Ravnica society. Nicholas decided to begin a business on his own on the Ravnican high street selling modifications to effectively anything. On the condition that it wasn't used for murder until well after he had modified its purpose. This was mainly due to his detest murdering due to his value of life. He is not against killing in self-defense, though. His mother made sure to explain that to him when they were both attacked during a visit to his mother's sister by some Rakdos looking to 'party'. Oh, the wonders of youth.

Now in present day, his business gets good work and he is able to afford to tinker more and more modifications to other inventions or items regardless of the guild the person stemmed from. His greatest invention he ever made? An Izzet gauntlet formed from the cheapest material that had its fuselage reformulated in order to reduce risk to the user by 73.6%. It made him popular among the low ranked Izzet whom couldn't afford the way more expensive options that guarantee user safety. Certainly, it made him happy.

So he sits alone in his shop on the Ravnica high street during off hours. Thinking to himself just what he could invent to help Ravnica. To become a legend in his own right. Perhaps, though... If another guild war was to break out. Would his invention be one to save people? or will it be a weapon of war? It was thoughts like that which kept Nicholas's complex mind ticking.

Nick is on great terms with his mother. While she wished he had joined the Gruul clans in wiping the smug look of those that wish to destroy nature with a sword in hand. She fully respects his desire to change the world through other means and supports him through it and even though she's a lady in her forties she's still a very capable ass kicker.

Just like his Mother, Nick is on good terms with his father who continues to serve the Izzet league as a magus. Like father like son is what his mother would say. He fully respects his father's actions though will always correct his father's errors in his calculations (if he makes any)

Nicholas has done nothing yet to upset the dragon guild master of the Izzet. So they are on fair terms. Niv-Mizzet would very much like Nicholas to join the ranks of the Izzet in order for the guild to continue to invent and inspire others to invent some more.

The Other Guilds

In terms of the other guilds... Nicholas has him up and down opinions of each and every one of them. He has done little to upset any of them. Except perhaps the Azorius who get called often due to noise complaints at his workshop. If it wasn't for the fact that the Azorius patrolling his section were also customers he might have been arrested already.

The Lovecraft Rogue

Pavara Valoro, “PV” (The Lovecraft Rogue)

Backstory
Pavara was born to Father Valoro, an middle-ranking Orzhov Clergy and an unnamed Dimir Information Broker, an illegitimate and secret union. She is not a true Valoro, as her father denies her existence, but claims the name all the same, mostly in spite. Her mother took her under the crest of the Dimir, teaching her eldritch secrets at a young age, and, more importantly, taught her the means to discover her own secrets. Her mother was killed when she was a teenager, in a summoning accident. The resulting horror is the most perfect and complex horror (Hunted Horror) Pavara has ever interacted with. It vanished, and to this day, Pavara keeps an eye out for it, feeling more of a connection with the horror her mother became than the human she once was.
She was taken under the wing of a Secret Stealer/Assassin, accompanying him on his jobs sometimes, learning as she went. She eventually became skilled enough herself to surpass his achievements, and became his partner, rather than his apprentice. She felt herself drawing further and further away from her life’s work, infatuated with this new counterpart. But before anything of consequence could begin, he was arrested in his home by Azorius lawmages. He was executed under Ravnican law for the murder of over thirty political, military, and civilian individuals. She escaped charges, due to the fact that no one could easily identify her as being who they said she was, and vows to someday have her vengeance, preferably with a Horror-God in tow.

Combat Preferences
Tends to go straight for enemy morale, summoning horrors to terrify them into surrender, before marching in, countering everything they have to throw at her, and taking what she came for.
Uses Consuming Aberration to overwhelm large forces, the Dinrova Horror to beat down larger enemies, the Horror of the Dim for subterfuge, and the Baleful Strix for both aerial assault and assasination.

Psych Profile
She is interested in all things secret, particularly things that others take great care to hide. She loves all things metaphysical, and believes the universe to be held together by an insane god, the greatest of horrors. And so, she summons horrors, pushing herself that much closer to godhood. More than anything, she wants to venture into the sky, to explore among the stars, to learn truths that no one else ever even dreamed existed. This curiosity is extremely dangerous.
This curiosity has led her to craft new horrors from old ones, using a very Simic-like way of dealing with things, but with a more Golgari mindset. None of her horrors survived, being both biologically as well as cosmic-dimensionally unstable, and each imploded and destroyed itself before much study could be attained. She continues, certain that she could someday create the next God.
She is extremely powerful, but squanders this potential in jobs and activities that are beneath her skill level.
She is slow to anger, and is careful, methodical in her planning. She has been a Dimir Silencer for several years, and has proven herself almost prodigious.
Her duties include silencing the guildless and despondent, and learning as many things as possible that Orzhov and Azorius want to hide. At the same time, some secrets must be maintained, and though it pained her to silence deep truths, she served with honor.
Note: She is almost Simic in her experimentation, Izzet in her motives, and Golgari in her methods, but the Dimir understand this asset very well. After all, it’s the next best thing to having double agents from those guilds.
She tends to respond to ignorance with derision, and has a nasty habit of "running her mouth" that often gets her into trouble, but never so much that she can't get out.

Gear and Armaments
She wears a full suit of black leather, not skintight, but close, layered in thin plates of blue steel, each plate engraved with words of arcane origin, and some now unknown heiroglyphics. She wears a Dimir Charm around her neck, and a cutlass with special White mana-manipulating properties, allowing it serve as a spell counter on its own for a number of weaker spells, curses, and summons. Her cutlass is also used in her experiments, similar to how a surgeon might use a scalpel.
Her armor is ordinary, her cloak unspecial. What is special, however, are the engravings in her armor. They give her great strength of faith, the resulting arrogance pushing her more and more to make a better and better horror, certain that one day, she will craft God.
Her armor is designed for finesse and agility. It will turn a spear, deflect an arrow, bend a blade, but it has not the durability to resist a warhammer, axe, or similar onslaught. As such, she relies mostly on her speed, summoning, and stealth, resorting to magically-augmented melee combat with her cutlass if need be.
Her cutlass is relatively normal, aside from an unusual folded-steel/silver blade, infused with White mana, designed originally to be used to combat geists, and counter their curses and spells. What was once a slayer of evil now aids in crafting the most sophisticated and tenebrous of evils, refined to an art form.

Interests and Goals
Her primary motivation is the transcendence of humanity. She desires to not only create the God-Horror, but impart her essence into it, effectively becoming the God-Horror. It is not known whether or not this is possible, as it deals with ancient and eldritch branches of magic both forgotten and theoretical. That having been said, she’s trying anyway.

Fears and Triggers
She despises Orzhov for their focus on money and greed, believing the accumulation of wealth and knowledge without the intent to share is counterproductive. However, she is endlessly fascinated by their servant thralls.
Above all else, she fears Rakdos Demons, having accidentally summoned one once while trying to splice three horrors together, causing a massacre in the Undercity. Since then, she is wary of all Rakdos revels, circuses, even retail stands on the sidewalk. She does, however, harbor great respect for Murder Girl, the Rakdos thrill-kill assassin, for her tenacity.
Second only to Demons is her fear of failure. Failure to create the God-Horror, failure to worship the God-Horror, failure to produce a horror worthy of God, it is a circular fear without reason, for its subject is without reason.

Likes and Dislikes
She prefers savory food over sweet, whiskey over beer, Golgari over Selesnya. She sees the white factions as being closed minded, the red factions as being too hasty and impatient, and Rakdos in particular as being completely and totally unproductive. In her mind, Golgari and Dimir are the only ones making scientific progress, with the Izzet, to a minor degree.
She enjoys noodles of any kind, particlarly if they are accompanied by a rich broth, or stew of some kind. She enjoys all types of breads, and all types of fish. She dislikes loud, fast music, preferring slow, cold, melodic pieces. Almost all of her free time is spent in an apartment in the undercity, drawing power from the Shadow when it passes, using the dark mana of the area to conjure up disgusting, revolting, otherworldly horrors of varying capability, then mix and match all the best/worst parts.
She hates sweets, particularly cake, regarding it as a nigh-heretical manifestation of bread, believing also, that certain sugars, oils, etc. In ones’ diet could lead to arcane blockage, stifling the flow of mana.
She also hates pyromancers, for their tendency for physical collateral damage. She is all for psychological collateral, but when it comes to the real destruction of villages, she sees it as dishonorable.

Guild Rank and Association
She would be considered rank 3 for her network, and rank two for her professional credentials.
She has associated with few high ranking individuals, save Jarad, the Golgari Lich, and a small number of inconsequential guildmages from the Simic and Izzet guilds. She sends them letters, pretending to be young nameless aspiring mages, just asking for summoning techniques. Typically, they comply, giving healthy tips and a window into their world of summoning.

Additional Information
Keeps a Childhood Horror as a pet, feeding it bits and pieces of her kills, and letting it roam through the streets of the undercity at night to hunt. It is faithful and loyal, and always returns to its putrid basement by morning. She and it both understand their potentially lethal relationship, and have made their peace with it.
She is terrified of the Phyrexians, seeing them as abominations, half horror-half machine beasts that have no business existing. At the same time, she hates them, and wishes them extinct.
She has a shrine to an entity she calls Tsthogga, supposedly an Eldrazi of epic propotion and influence. She worships this Eldrazi to an extent, believing them to be transcended horrors, and theorizing that a God-Horror could potentially be an Eldrazi, if, of course, the lore is true.
She is known to be one of Jarad’s only non-Golgari correspondents, the two conversing often on new breeding and splicing theories, being interested in very similar subjects.
She is regarded by her colleagues as eccentric, even among the Dimir, and is generally avoided, as a rule, due to so many of her associates dying “tragically” in “horrifying summoning accidents”.
Among the lower-ranking Bearers of Secrets, there is a phrase, “Valoro’s revenge”, that is used when describing any incident in which horrors ravage a civilian settlement for little to no reason.
She is well-known among House Dimir for her eccentricity, but her name rarely, if ever, reaches the ears of other guilds. Such is the nature of her trade.
She dreams in other worlds, catching tiny glimpses into Planes both past and future. Without further understanding of the Multiverse, she believes these to be ordinary dreams.

Boros Guildmage

Name: Lute Blade Dancer

Personality: Conviction and passion, two things needed to lead among the legion Lute carries these in spades. Unlike his more brutal brother's and sister in the legion Lute inspire's his troopers to fight harder leading the charge himself. His movements graceful as an angel and as brutal as a giant. He dances though blood and gore finding his purpose in the fire's of battle, while many see this as psychotic in legion it as seen as enlightenment.

History: Born among the guildless as an orphan, Lute grew up watching Wojek protect his streets. Enamored with these individuals he began to train himself in the alleys around his home. While few would reprimand the boys training he soon discovered his in born talent for magic. Adding basic spell casting to his sword training the boy grew tall and strong, driving back guildless cut throats. He was accepted as Wojek and soon began to rise through the ranks as he lead his squad through countless bitter battles.

However a mortal can only assume the rank of guildmage within the Boros chain of command while this gives him the right to speak direct with angels that rule the guild he holds little sway over all. Among his brothers and sisters he is scene as fine mortal example of what all legionaries should strive for. While he is often among Sunhome garrison his position gives him the freedom to join his brothers on the field of battle. Often attaching himself to patrols, night watches, and the occasional nav squad he is staunch ally and fervent defender of the people.

Associates: While he does not associate heavily with the other guilds, as a Wojek he worked closely with Azorius law mages. However with access to Sunhome, the Wojek investigator files, and local Wojek forces rarely does he ever know nothing of his target.

Personality: Zarif can be described as an undoubtedly wise and understanding individual, his age and affinity for reading others' emotions contributing greatly to these character traits. The Loxodon is known to always compose himself in an impartial and just manner, able to provide unwavering patience to even the most aggravating Rakdos imp.
The Loxodon's sense of right, heavily influenced by his kind's affinity for white magic and the Selesnyan virtues of green, is a very accepting and naturalistic view of the world. However, with slight hints of blue beliefs and tendencies in his personality, Zarif can also be found with a good understanding of justice and law, along with an astoundingly open mind.
In battle, Zarif will never lay a finger on his opponent due to his almost strictly pacifistic ways. The Loxodon believes magic to be a beautiful art that links people, not an ultimate weapon. The mage, though he is more than capable of obliterating others with his practiced power, will almost always try to negotiate and talk with his enemy. For indeed, although his personal health and stamina may be quickly declining at such an old age, Zarif is still a rather powerful magic user and able to keep his own amongst more able-bodied opponents. Never expect to see the Loxodon play on the offensive, however; he strictly limits his powers into keeping himself and others alive, defensively.

History: Born almost anonymously into the Selesnyan conclave and adopted by a pair of elven mages, Zarif was found to be an incredible prodigy in the magical arts almost from birth. The young Loxodon was known specifically to possess an innate understanding of basic magical happenings, and, to an extent, the complex moral obligations that came with such powers of a summoner. Eager to nurture such talents as quickly as they could, Zarif's parents provided the young Loxodon with the best magical schooling they could muster, intent on providing the child with a large array of Selesnyan, nature-oriented morals and education in order to ensure their son's future use of magical intellect would not go to waste. Through Zarif's early-life studies, however, the Loxodon would slowly become intrigued by the teachings of more traditional magic scholars, including those of the Azorius guild. His parents, in dismay that their son would dabble in the callous practices of the cruel justice system, forbade him from learning outside of the benevolent Selesnyan teachings. The Loxodon's thirst for exotic knowledge would not be so easily oppressed, however.
Zarif thus began a time of mainly self-education, secretly indulging himself in the writings and magical theories of other scholars and guilds in order to expand his knowledge of what the essence of summoner magic meant to so many other people. The Loxodon would also branch out into the fields of philosophy and law, bringing to his mind a very well-rounded and grand understanding of the workings, both mentally and magically, of other people. All of these developments, though they were intended to be kept secret from his parents, lead to an inevitable falling out within Zarif's family as his academic treacheries were eventually exposed. Thus, with his family ties sadly weakened and the conclave's rather zealous moral code frowning upon him, Zarif had no choice but to further commit himself to his studies.
The Loxodon, however, would refuse to ever entirely leave the Selesnyan guild; his roots in white and green mana having been a strong basis for all of his teachings. For the rest of the Loxodian mage's life, Zarif would make great leagues in furthering his personal intellectual development. Through open-minded research and study, the Loxodon became an astoundingly astute and powerful mage, distinguishing himself drastically from the more traditional beast-tamers of the Selesnya guild. Though such a difference in magical prowess may be seen as heretical by some, it is undeniable that Zarif's knowledge is indeed a priceless commodity in the conclave; especially when it can be used to educate others. Zarif now hopes, more than ever, that his age-old intellect and kindness will be of use to Selesnya during these war-torn times.

The Vedalken Bloodhound

Personality: Allendris takes the typical Vedalken reserve and apathy, spits it out and laughs at it. Though not, perhaps, as intensely idealistic as a typical Boros legionnaire, he does demonstrate impressive drive to succeed, and has shown to be relentlessly focused on his mark. Though most of those he has worked with see his drive as obsessive and dangerous (particularly other Vedalken), they cannot deny that he produces results.
History: Allendris was never truly born. He was built by a Simic biomancer, one of the many in the guild intent on creating a perfect creature. The mage wanted Allendris to serve as a bodyguard and predator, and though he succeeded in making Allendris capable of the task, the upgraded Vedalken felt he could do better alone. Needless to say, that biomancer hasn't been seen much in the twelve years since Allendris' creation. With the appearance of an adult but the experience of a child, Allendris knew he would not fit in to modern Ravnican society, but he did have some advantages - he was superior physically and mentally to the majority of his kind, created with four arms and an incredible ability to track. He became involved in mercenary work, using his abilities to track down the target and bring them back, dead or alive. His creator had also given him some basic knowledge of Simic magic, which he utlised as he needed. The time spent as a guildless mercenary caused a few run-ins with certain Rakdos mages, who disliked the competition. Discouraged from his current path by the crudeness of his rivals, he turned towards a lighter path, and continued to use his skills, but this time for the Azorius, hunting criminals and capturing them for their trial. He never officially became a member but his skills are relied upon regularly, and in return he has learnt a lot of white magic, which dwarfed his basic blue and green to become his primary colour.
Associates:

Kazarak Karm - A Rakdos mercenary, the pair were rivals, but things escalated quickly when Kazarak attempted to have Allendris assassinated. Allendris' protection under Azorius means he doesn't have to worry about Kazarak much, but he still would take the long walk around, rather than the short walk through, Rakdos territory.
Julius Sandum - Allendris' main contact within Azorius. When someone needs to be brought before the Senate, Julius is the one to let Allendris know. Becoming aware of this informal agreement, Azorius also tends to go to Juliud when it is Allendris they want. Julius is also the one who taught Allendris his white magic.
Others - A handful of non-noteworthy mages within Boros and Simic who owe Allendris for one reason or another.

Personality: Dracoon is one that will do whatever is necessary to survive, he is quick to act and quick to strike and always looks for angles in which he can gain an advantage. If he trusts you he is humorous and will try to help you whenever it is needed, but will hold you to a favour later when he needs it. In battle he will taunt often to his opponent in order for them to make a mistake that will allow him and his spells to quickly put an end to them. If he feels he is outmatch he will often try to talk his way out of a situation or run, because living is far more important than death.

History: Dracoon was born in the wilds, where he learned early on that he had the ability of the magicians known as planewalkers. To be able to take mana from the land and summon spells and creatures from it in order to fight other mages or make his way in life. He lived most of his life on his own because he couldn't stay settled in the forests, he did appreciate learning how to strengthen oneself with the power of the forests, and to use the minor creatures to distract his enemies while he would then strike at them. It was when humans first began appearing in the forest that Dracoon became intrigued of the stories of great structures, fame and fortune that could be had in the great cities. After a time he decided to leave his home in search for the city.

When he arrived, he learned early that nothing could be taken for face value, everyone had a secret agenda when they would ask him for his help. His skills proved plentiful for them while he suffered having to work for little wealth. But he did meet some unlikely companions, the goblins of the underground found him very useful to complete jobs for them above the surface and would offer him shelter, food, money and allies that he could call upon when needed.

He learned from them to strike fast and hard, to overwhelm your opponent to the point where they can control the chaos that is surrounding them and will eventually surrender or die at the hands of his goblin comrades or his own spells or weapons.

He was then sought out by the Guild called Gruul, they found that his style of living was much like theirs and welcomed him to join them. They were not the largest of guilds but when they did strike they would fight in the same style as he and overwhelm their opponents to take what they need and then be off. It was also nice to run into people who were not all goblins, as hilarious as the goblins were, he could only stand their stench for so long so being around people that were like him was a nice change.

He worked for the guild for some time gaining notoriety for doing any kind of job, it didn't ever really matter to him. The one thing that he was told was to not take a job that would involve bringing the higher classes' attention to them. They did not want them to be on their bad side and cause them grief. They just wanted to live by their means and continue to be able to battle with the other guilds. He couldn't help but agree, he didn't want to have to constantly look over his shoulder for the authorities to take him and hold him in prison, he wanted to be free and to fight.

Associates: Krenko, Mob Boss will often hire Dracoon to complete jobs because Krenko knew that Dracoon was always looking to gain currency and also gave his word (as much as a goblin's loyalty can be trusted) that in times of need he would lend his services to the elf.

Annex and Cymede, he knows these two from when they were young, he would often take jobs from them in order to help them with their status. He never requested money from them but asked for favours from them because their influence would be able to help him in certain circumstances where he needed political influence or their strength.

Additional Information: Additional information: He carries two 16 foot long chains wrapped around his arms with hooks at the ends. He also carries a short sword with a blade that reaches out two feet and in the shape of the example that I have provided.

He will use these weapons to fight but often just uses them to loot and steal from rooftops.
