@1Charak2 Well yeah, doesn't mean they like it. If they could have deflected it, they probably would've.

Plus, tanking a lightning bolt is so... un-Dimir.

Way more fitting to counter it.

Yea but then it wouldn't be the king of le-burn spells . Also this is Ravnica, if dimir is obsessively overpowered their would only be one guild.
Dimir.

@1Charak2 I don't think they're overpowered. I just think that they would agree, that avoiding personal injury at any cost is something to invest in,

@PrivateVenturesI have yet to find a 'definite' color combo that I like, but I do love the simplicity of Green/Red. Just wreck face and bring in bigger creatures later on to wreck face more. Also, Green has a lot of ways to handle damn fliers. I also have a green white deck that I like a lot, which is the first one that I made myslef.(though I really, really need to get around to shaving down the card count one of these days)

@Raijinslayer If you're partial to big decks (yes, i know, it sounds hilarious) you may want to give Black/Green/Blue a shot. Use Blue/Black to mill yourself, monoGreen to keep your life up and remove Artifacts/Enchantments, monoBlack to remove minor annoyances from the field, and Green/Black to pull stuff out of your own now-enormous graveyard, effectively giving you a second deck that you're allowed to look through.

@PrivateVenturesI don't have the mindset for Black, I get too antsy at the thought of potentially screwing myself and what not. Also, the deck is only big because i don't have any self-control and decided 'Hey, I think this card would work well in here, let's put it in without thinking about the balance of lands, creatures, and spells at all.'

@Raijinslayer Oh, i gotcha, then. Yeah, black requires a "blood for blood" mindset. Not like Black/Green, though. That's like "i'm gonna chop off my arm, turn it into a million arms, and then replace my arm with a million arms".

@PrivateVenturesI know, one o my friend had a huge black/green deck that ran off his graveyard and another had a black rat token deck that worked by killing rats to kill creatures, which gives him more rats, not to mention those damn ogre slumlords. Don't take those fuckers out quick, you'll be facing a huge army of rats that all have fuckin' deathtouch.

Seems my personality isn't quite in liege with the Golgari. Surprisingly(?)
Somehow I don't think that'll stop me from properly playing Vu'kraaz though.

@Raijinslayer I once built a black/green/blue deathtouch deck. It ran a lot of enchantments, and a lot of unblockable creatures with reach. Basically, it was the biggest asshole deck ever devised. It wasn't even made to win, just to be infuriating.

On the opposite end, the monoBlack deck i made for the same purpose ended up being an insane player-killer. It ran nothing but masochistic Horrors, and land enchantments. Basically, the deck was designed to make every player die at the same time, including myself. It would drain life from everyone every turn, and every time they tapped enchanted land, and I kept... what was it... Corruption on hand for lifegain when it was necessary, just so I could make sure I finished everyone.

The deck hurt itself so much, no one I ever played with did more damage to me than I did.

Also, I don't talk about Slivers.
No one should.

@RyouguWhen I was making my Rakdos guy, my mindset did kind of get in the way to the Rakdos way of fighting, though to be fair, my guy was more careful and controlled than the usual Rakdos scrub due to his Azorius roots. His set was running with a good amount of lifelink to support the damage I was likely going to take with my offense.

Embrace the hivemind...
Slivers are the greatest tribal in all of magic history. Love them or hate them. I like my hive.

@Raijinslayer But, see, that's the thing. That wouldn't even occur to true Rakdos. They wouldn't even consider the possibility that they may be wounded. They just don't care.

I DO NOT DISCUSS THAT ANATHEMA.

Ha, fair enough, I'm personally going for a bit of mardu colors too, but through Boros. Which is, well, nyehehe. Not good for his health, anywho. He'll definitely be a looney though.

@RyouguYe, my guy's Rakdos leaning was less to do with not caring for his own being and more about being free. So whiule he could get with their flow, he was probably to concerned with staying alive to really be considered a proper Rakdos, but he was useful as his semblance of sanity meant he could do better negotiations with other people than most other Rakdos.

@PrivateVentures

You seem to hate the hivemind. Good. Good...

Just embrace the hated. It will blind you to the greater threats to the multiverse....

But yea. I identify with the Izzet completely and utterly so.
