Did my first 40k Kill Team match today. Rocked up with 3 Bullgryns (Power Maul and Brute Shield on the Bone'ead, he was one of my specialists, so I gave him Feel No Pain) and 4 Ratlings.

Suprisingly I actually did very well, came 3rd out of 10 and was was one of the last 2 survivors. The Bullgryns were on top form, hunting down all of one guys Burna Boys. The Ratlings... 3 of them died before they could actually do anything, but the last one actually saved my bacon when a Sister ran to get in close with her Heavy rending Flamer and he put a nice hole in her head.

I even took out the second placer's Lictor that managed to singe handedly slaughter 2 guys teams whilst only sustaining 1 wound. The Ratling took a pot shot at him, taking him down another, then my Bone'ead charged and... Well, Hammer of Wrath, a few poor roles for the 'Nids, then 5 stength 7 hits later and that was all she wrote. The winner (Typically) was a 10 year old kid with a bunch of Flash Gitz, who managed to catch a few enemies out in the open.

You're lucky. A Sister with a flamer is a disaster to behold (I RP as a Sister in our Fresher Dark Heresy campaign, minus the flamer).

Oh it was fun... Although, the first few turns were a little boring, as I inadvertantly put my Bullgryns away from the action. Luckily for me, as soon as most of the commotion had settled down, and a number of the more troublesome units were either gone or wounded, my fresh Bullgryns came into play and mopped the field.

I highly recommend it, with only 200 points, it's a LOT to think about... But, in all honesty, it was essentially just Necromunda, only without any restrictions.

Speaking of 40k, my army's hilariously outdated. Running a 5th edition era Black Templars army. 1000 points, shooty as fuck. Emprah's Champion with Abhor the Witch, five Sword Brethren Termies with Cyclone Missile Launchers and Tank Hunters, two Crusader Squads with Bolters, Plasma guns, and Lascannons, both in twin-linked Lascannon Razorbacks. And a Venerable Dread with Twin-linked Lascannons, Heavy Flamer, Extra Armor, Smoke Launchers, and Tank Hunter. Also a Land Speeder Squadron with Typhoon Missile Launchers.

Fuck 5th Ed anyways. I wanted to play my BT army as a close combat slaughterfest, not this gunline crap. Too bad Black Templars sucked at CC in 5th Ed. But I really don't have the money to buy 6th Ed stuff. Or a Land Raider Crusader model. Shit's expensive.

OR/AS Official Website said Mega Diancie's Defense and Sp. Def both go down, but its Attack and Sp. Atk gain big boosts, making its Mega Evolution perfect for getting off fast attacks.
