Aaron drove slowly to the high school, dreading the prank that was inevitably going to come. He parked by the entrance, took a deep breath, and walked out from his dad's pickup truck. He stood by the doors awkwardly for a while, mentally kicking himself while double, triple, quadruple checking that the invitation had sent. He didn't know if word of a party normally spread like this. Now that he thought about it, the circumstances under which learned of it was strange. Then again, Aaron had no idea how parties work. All he knew is he wanted to be the 'cool' kid. He sighed and began playing on his phone. About fifteen minutes later, he glanced at the time and was surprised to see it was 5:00 PM. Everybody should be arriving by now. Aaron mentally steeled himself for what was about to come.

“This is gonna be awesome!”

Ramona had been in this situation countless times. Lila practically went to every party held in their town, so Ramona, as the designated driver, was always along for the ride. She hated parties, but she could never say no to Lila. Plus, it was always funny to watch her classmates get drunk and act stupid.

“So, we’re going to be locked in all night?”

“Yeah! I guess it’s to keep people for driving drunk or something.”

Wonderful. Ramona wouldn’t even be able to step outside if the noise was too much. Maybe she could find a quiet bathroom.

They pulled up to the school and stepped out of the car. Lila took Ramona’s hand and pulled her towards the entrance. Ramona felt her face heat up so much she probably looked like a tomato.

The two met Aaron at the entrance. Lila let go of Ramona’s hand and greeted him.

“Are we early?”

Eugene revved the motorcycle in his garage, still working, the engine stuttered then began to mumble the sound a motorcycle makes when it's about to be used, Eugene fitted his helmet on and opened the automatic garage door, lifted the stand and drove out of the property.
The party was a few blocks away, he liked parties as much as the next man, it's a chance to be sociable with people from your school, he, however, did not like parties to the extent of a silly girl.
A few minutes down the road and he appeared at the school gate, another car was pulled up at the entrance and three people stood at the door, Aaron, Lila and Ramona, not his best friends but he knew them.

Aaron looked up from his phone, and stood up quickly. "Oh, uh, I was just waiting for people. I f-figured it was a prank." His stutter had been prominent since he was a child, but it only came out when he was nervous. "Lila right? And R-Ramona?" He had to slow down and enunciate, but he thought he did well. As he finished, he heard a motorcycle pulling in. He was surprised, to say the least. He didn't think a badass like Eugene would come to his invitation, considering Aaron was, well, Aaron. Smart, but awkward. "Wow," He muttered to himself. "I guess this isn't a prank."

As if the gods hadn’t cursed Ramona enough, Lila slung an arm around her shoulders as she greeted Aaron. The shorter girl’s brain short-circuited and she could barely get an answer out when Aaron spoke to them. She just managed a quiet “Y-y-yeah…”

She jumped and let out an undignified squeak when she heard the loud growl of a motorcycle engine. Before Ramona could give up on boundaries and embrace her crush, Lila’s arm was gone from her shoulders and she was waving at Eugene.

“Heyyy! You ready to go wild?”

Ramona decided to remove herself from the situation to calm down a little. She sat down against a wall and pulled out her sketchbook, doodling a picture that looked way too similar to Lila.

Jesse was pumped for this party. He had in his backpack a few cans of spray paint and he was feeling like he was ready to make his masterpieces. It was obvious he had them, you could hear them jingle in his bag. He sees some of his classmates standing together and decides to make hi first impression: He pulls out a twelve pack of booze. "You guys ready? '

Eugene pulled up to the side of the car and turned off the engine, his old Yamaha had seen better days. Eugene pulled off his helmet to reveal an unshaven face, his hair swept back behind his ears, a bored expression on his face.
"Wild?, dunno...", he yawned and pulled off his leather jacket, he wore a plain black shirt and jeans, in his pocket a cellphone rang, he dug out the simple white phone and pressed the red phone button after staring for a bit. "Yo, Jesse pass me a drink."

Jesse did a bit of a wild throw, like a basketball player doing a throw behind his back and threw a bottle at Eugene.

Eugene had trouble catching the surprise bottle, he jumped and caught the bottle with one hand then revealed a small knife from his other pocket, he popped off the bottle top and place the bottle to his lips, it was cool and tasted like ass, he wasn't used to beer, usually he'd have whisky but a free drink was always nice.
"When's everyone else getting here?" he asked no one in particular.

Aaron stared at Eugene. "Is that a fucking knife? Why the fuck do you need a knife?" He was baffled that people were actually coming. They should arrive soon, but Aaron was mostly focused on not being ignored. "J-Jesse. G-give me a beer." He had never drunk or done drugs, and he was extremely freaked out. "N-now." He never really got to know anyone here, but Aaron was sure they were a strange bunch.

Delilah looked in the mirror for the third time to make sure she looked alright. Why she was so worried about it, she want sure. This was actually her third high school party she had gone to, but she told her dad that she was staying the night at a friend's house.

Sure she looked as good as she was going to get, Delilah left her house, kissing her dad's cheek bye as she did. She hopped in her old '69 Black Chevy truck and headed towards the school. It was several miles from her house, so, not real far of a drive.

As she pulled up, she noticed there was already a group of people. Lila and Ramona, Aaron, Eugene, Jesse. Delilah parked her truck and got out. They were all people she knew, but weren't exactly friends with. "I'm not late am I?" She asked with a smile as she approached the group, her eyes lingering on Eugene a little longer than anyone else.

Ramona stayed quiet when drinks were going around, hoping that would get the message across that she wasn’t partaking. She had trouble focusing on drawing, so she put her sketchbook away and just watched the others.

Lila was greeting the new arrival, “Hey! Nah, you’re not late. It’s just us here so far.”

Ramona couldn’t help but look at Lila, feeling an ache in her chest. She was well and truly fucked. Of course, out of all the girls at her school, she had to fall for a straight girl who could never love her back.

Ugh, snap out of it, you lovesick asshole. This was a party! If she kept sulking, she would just bring everyone down with her dramatic bullshit.

Ramsy usually was late to parties, He usually figured that parties would start jumpin' later in the night. Only thing about this time, his homeboys pushed him to go a little earlier. Slowly coming up in a red 1979 chevy monte carlo, Ramsy got out the car, looking through his phone and texted his boys before he walked towards the party.

Delilah looked over at Lila, smiling and nodding at the girl, thanking her silently for answering her question. It was then, that she noticed another vehicle coming up. It was Ramsy. She knew him a little more than everyone else.

Leaning up against the school wall, Delilah glanced over at Eugene, then to Aaron. "Hey, Aaron? When does the party start? And did anyone bring anything other than beer?" Although she hadn't planned on drinking much, she preferred something other than beer.

"C'mon Aaron, Lighten the duck up! We got beer and I'm sure someone 'El bribe some dope, calm your nerves!" He took out a flask out of his pocket. It was straight whiskey he stole from his dad. His head would be on a spike for stealing it,bit he would take any chances to impress thease folk...Especially since there were some Girls here...

Shortly after texting and walking into the inside, Ramsy came in to see only a few people along with beer. Scanning the area, he raised an eyebrow This is it? Damn....I thought there was gonna be mo' bitches in here... he stated. Might have to light one up early... Turning to notice Delilah. He gave her a head nod that was in a up motion and walked over. Ay...what's up, gal?

Delilah shook her head and chuckled, rolling her eyes at Ramsy. She wondered if he really had that on him. If therebwasnt anything but beer here, she may just have to settle for what he had. It would definitely be interesting since she had never tried it before. "Not much Rams. Just waiting for this party to start." She he said as she held her fist out in a 'fist bump' motion.

Oh my god. Oh my god. HE HAS WHISKEY? Aaron stepped back. "I, uh, changed my mind. You have fun though." When he heard Delilah ask him a question, he froze. "Oh, hi Delilah...The party s-starts now, actually. I b-brought some chips and sodas. It's in my c-car." Everytime he talked to Delilah, his brain froze, which is why he typically strayed away. He was surprised she even knew him. "You look nice tonight," He offered. "Thanks for coming." In all honesty, he probably should have said more instead of staring at his feet like he had done something wrong a blush staining his face red like a tomato, but he couldn't process that at the time.

Delilah heard Aaron say something, which then turned her attention away from Ramsy, and to him instead. She smiled when he greeted her. "Thank you." She replied to his comment, chuckling at his slightly pink stained cheeks. "Although the soda would be better leaded, chips and soda will be just fine." Delilah reassured the boy with a sweet smile.
