No offence, but why would you run a roleplay if you have no idea what the story will be, or what to do? As I understand it, the role of GM is to direct the plot for the players. It's not going to be as much fun if everyone knows what all the plot twists and turns will be because we've created it as a democracy.

A good way to start is the 5 W's
Who- What- When- Where & Why? I agree- no one wants just a retelling of the show;
But we fell in love with the aesthetics so you can keep that; just make it your own

Joining a roleplay first to see how the system operates while asking the GM how it's done and getting advice from them on the side would make you better prepared. Otherwise, if you want, I could throw you a list of things to consider at least for putting the roleplay together.
