For future reference, every single person will observe different details on clues they obtain, thus encouraging some sharing. For example, blood is splattered on a wall in the slums alleyway. A nobody will only realize something is amiss; a killer will know what sort of weapon is used to cause the splatter, and how hard it was hit; a local will have a clue on who usually camped at the alleyway, and will come out with leads to investigate; a detective will be able to further analyze the blood.
