Zeroth

The year is 2372,
You, have recently received your orders to board and take your position on board the USS Grandeur, NCC-2645. A most honorable ship. Recently built, and the sistership to the already famous Enterprise D. But unlike the Enterprise this ship isn't a flagship, so it does not have all the luxuries, nor the families. So report to Starbase 01, grab a shuttle, and prepare for the next generation of space explores. Boldly going where no one has ever gone before.

Open crew
Core Roles are bolded
Captain (Taken @Grnmachine)
Be the lead on this state of the art ship. Can't you feel the humming of the warp core in your feet, all of this ship yours.
First Officer (Taken)
Loyal, and quick witted, certainly a good position for an eager young officer
Chief engineer (Taken @Draconis Nevyn]
You know this ship inside and out, she is a part of you. Your job is to keep your baby running smooth.
-Engineer (50 slots)
The life blood of the ship, like ants you crawl through conduits and like monkeys you climb service ladder. Not a glamorous job but the ship needs you.
Medical Officer (Open)
You know how to treat some serious stuff. It takes guts to see another mans guts. Smart and talented, hands of a surgeon are recommended.
-Medical staff (5 slots)
You follow your crew and assist them in times of need. A most honorable role.
Science officer (open)
A busy role, you might be leading an away team or conducting a scan on the planet below. Either was it's sure to be exciting.
-Misc Science crew (8 slots)
The brains of the operation, you have seen planets first hand in ways the engineers can only dream of.
Tactical Officer (Taken @RumikoOhara)
Brave, sturdy, just. These are the requirements for the Officer that keeps your ship safe.
-Star fleet security/weapons crew (9 slots+ 1 @Dnafein)
The hard trained men in the yellow uniforms, these "grunts" are trained for combat. Armed with their phasers they are a quick shot, and rarely miss. A rather risky job. But it is for the safety of the federation.
Misc Bridge Crew ( no open slots)
- Helmsman (taken @TacticalFasces)
The "pilot" of the ship, you have control of this massive vessel. Treat her well.

If there is a role that I didn't mention that you would want to be, PM me.

Jinn hate someone she hasn't met? That doesn't sound very productive

Hmm....Isn't that the normal thought process of all Chiefs of Engineering?

It is a tradition among those responsible for the operation of complex machinery and their Upkeep; like the Engineers of Naval ships or Flight lines. I suppose it was even common among those who worked on and maintained racing machines. After all, it is their hard work that manufactured and or maintenance which made the smooth operation possible

You're not wrong there. They are going to be quite protective of it though as a Klingon. And not appreciate suggestions.

In all I'm going confident but easily irritated engineer. Less likely to kill you than an average Klingon. Unless you touch their stuff.

I have been the CE of Several Galaxy Class starships and know them stem to stern, dorsal to ventral. I can tell you how long it takes to replenish the deuterium supplies using the Bussard Ramscoops; the proper procedures for the ejection of the WPS system's M/ARA

I am afterall a Geek Goddess

I never usually play Engineering. Usually science or tactical. Science preferably. So this is new to me. I shall study the greats: B'elanna, LaForge and Scotty. If that fails then Simia may come to you, pride low and head bowed. They have only worked on the older Miramda class before
