There is a reason behind that. Be it for breeding, territory, food... But a sentient being killing another sentient being its not natural. At least not for Lilac.

Reason doesn't...I don't even know how to begin to respond to that non-answer. Reason doesn't invalidate the act of killing as Murder. It just...sheesh, this mindset seems more akin to an immortal or deity who just came down to the mortal plane then just an isolated faun.

<Snipped quote by TheWindel>

<Snipped quote by 13org>

The only witches she knew were the one she calls 'grandma' and a few others who lived there as a coven.

And you still hadn't answered Windel's question. Being raised in isolation is not THIS good of an explanation, short of putting her in a pocket universe with it's own laws of physics and reality and has no contact with the outside. Further on top of that, the entire coven failed to raise her adequately by not informing her of anything of the outside world that would prepare her for life in general, not just schooling.

So to Windel's question; Did the Coven tell Lilax anything about the prejudice towards Witches, caused by the Great Witch and her covens spreading incomparable desolation on the world before being slain and leaving Witches with a poor reputation till present day?

It's more that Windel and I don't understand it.

Lilac's actions are sort of acceptable, but it's the rationale behind them that throws us for a loop. Your explanations just don't make sense in the context. Meh, maybe I'm just not in the right frame of mind. Windel's busy right now so I'll just leave it to Windel or KoL since I'm just spinning my wheels with this.

No no no, we aren't trying to kick you, but if you want to be passive aggressive about it I won't be heart broken.

You app'ed a cute faun girl for moe supernatural hijinks. Then you try and make deep emotional turmoil as purity is exposed to the horrors of the world, and we get confused. Honestly this is not a huge problem since it literally just popped up and we have not felt adequately answered.

Actually, there are many animals that kill one another just for the sake of killing, equal to humans. The idea that nature has some form of supernatural purity to it is something that seems to be born out of badly written novels and RPGs, because not a simple real life religion that I ever heard about has this kind of concept.

For example, dolphins are known for being intelligent enough to be jerkasses almost as many times as they are cute and friendly. They are one of the few other species on this planet that practice rape and murder for fun, in fact.

Ok, y'all getting all heated, take a breath let me see if I can help. It seems to me, that in Lilacs culture the act of taking a life isn't necessarily considered murder. It's just the natural order of things, like a lion killing a gazelle is not murder it's survival. But people killing other people for reasons other than survival is unfathomable to her

As Lone said, we are not trying to kick you, or make you change your character but she felt kinda weird for a moment. It's natural to ask when we don't understand something, there's no need for the defensive attitude there.

@13org

Ugh, you are not making anything easy. We wanted straight answers and got hand waves and misdirection. Then a few insults to our intelligence. Then passive aggressiveness. We did not want anything to escalate beyond and exchange of questions.

And looking at the History of your post I don't see anything about this forest saying it was some isolated Avalon and not just a forest with Fauns and witches, so pardon us when we aren't exactly certain of anything.

At this point I don't care either or. Feel free to keep playing, I just know better then to ask questions of your characters.

We get it. It just felt strange in the way things are described.

Plus, people don't kill others for reasons beyond survival unless they are mental ill. Most crimes have a reason behind them; the fact that such a reason isn't justifiable by the society in which the person that committed the crime is what actually makes it a crime.

We don't have any issues if Lilac wants to see the world through rosy colored glasses. As long as it's her view and not the world itself accommodating to her perception of morals.

Just trying to diffuse the situation by trying to help make sense, but at end of day. If you want to stop that's your choice

@KoL

And that's what I was trying to convey, and I was only suggesting that maybe in her people's culture the act of killing for reasons other than survival is unfathomable to them
