While still watching the sky, they heard the door open and saw Tatianna coming in.


Kaito: Whoa, is that Tiane?! Is she coming back for reals?!

Lucent: I... don't know...

Kaito: Oh yeah, you're a little scared of her. Better saying, except for me and Reeta, you don't speak with anyone, not even with the kids.

Lucent: I know that. It's just that... Rayla's a little too impulsive and her fame around the neighborhood frightens me while Tatianna just... frightens me in general.

Kaito: You really want to be their friend as well, don't you?

Lucent: I've been comfortable alone, but since you and Reeta won't let me stay at my room again...

Kaito: You bet I won't! I wouldn't be a good friend if I did let you!

Kaito: Now let's get back inside. It's almost time for dinner.

Kaito knew this was going to be difficult. Lucent wouldn't just stop being a loner from one day to another, but he wouldn't have expected too many obligations. It made him wonder how it was going to be at school.


Kaito: ... Alright, alright. As long as you don't run back to your room, I'm fine with it.

Lucent: Good, that makes me feel calmer. (At least one condition fell in.)

Kaito: But only today! Tomorrow onwards, we're all eating together, got it?

Kaito and Lucent went into the dining hall and saw Rayla and Reeta chatting. Even though he tried to go back towards his room, Lucent was unable to since Kaito held his arm tightly and pulled him along.


Kaito: Oh, so you're back, Rayla! Good evening!

Lucent: ...!!

Kaito: And here's Lucent, safe and sound. Turns out that he passed out after not eating for two or three days and we couldn't hear him falling on the ground since his room is far away from ours.

Kaito: But now he's fine and ready for school tomorrow! Right, Lucent?

BGM: Song of the Ancients -Popola/Instrumental- (NieR: Automata)

He wasn't going to reply. However, he did say to Kaito and to Reeta that he would try to socialize a bit more. Lucent gave a quick reply to what he said, but was already planning to go back towards his room.


Lucent: Y-Yeah...

Kaito: He won't skip classes anymore. If he does, I'll make sure to bring him in any way possible.(He responded! Whew...)

Lucent: (This was a bad idea...) I... forgot something at my room... I'll go and fetch it...

In the moment he tried to step back, Kaito stood behind him, in order to not let him escape from the living room.


Kaito: And what is it? I'll pick it up for you. (You're not running away from this.)

Lucent: ... Forget it. I don't... need it anymore.

Kaito: Really? Well then, let's chat a little before going to the dining hall.

Lucent: ...

Kaito: ...? What's wrong?

Lucent: ... I... I'm sorry.

He went towards the dining hall with quick steps. Talking with both of them was something, but he wasn't ready to even talk with Rayla yet. Kaito sighed and decided to explain the situation, since he trusted her.


Kaito: And we can mark a failure on this first attempt. I thought it was going to be hard, but still...

Kaito: Sorry, Rayla. We're trying to make Lucent open up a bit. After a chat we had once we got back home, he said he'd try to socialize more. I thought it'd be a good start to talk with you, but it seems he's still scared. Don't take it personal, though.

The dinner time at the Intermezzo family was always full. This is because they implied that all workers were to eat alongside the family, so the table was full of people chatting happily.


Auror: Hmmm! Delish!

Veronica: It's really tasty! Thanks for the food everyone!

Since they were the first ones to finish, Auror and Veronica went and cleaned their plates and cutlery. After finishing it, they went back into the living hall. Veronica went towards one of the corridors, leading her to the rooms as Auror suddenly received a call. Once he picked up his phone, he knew who it was.

BGM: Troubled (Persona 3)


Auror: Good night. Just to warn you, the hunt was a success.
???: You should have called me to help you.

Auror: It was going to be quick, so I decided to do it alone.
???: You do realize we're a team, right?

Auror: I know, I know, but you're the one who said you'd be busy with the kids back at the orpahanage today.
???: I know that, but you also know that I need the reward. It's the only way for me to help this place to survive.

Auror: A noble goal yet a dirty way to acheive it... aren't we distorted, huh? Anyway, I'll pass the reward to you later. Tomorrow's hunt is ours. Don't get busy out of a sudden, got it?
???: I'll meet you there then. Good night, Auror.

Auror: Try not to raise too much suspicion under you. Unlike me, you don't have too much people to cover you, Maki.
Maki: How I conceal my identity isn't something you should worry about.

The person called Maki turned the call off. Auror looked at the moon and thought about his comrade.


Auror: (How long are you able to keep this up, eh? Once they discover, you're toast. Maki, Maki... you should really step off before it becomes dangerous...)

Auror: (You can find other ways to help them out. As for me... all is for the safety of Unitia.)

Ted's Home consisted of two halves, one was the Mamoru Seimei Mansion and the Yurei Seimei Tower. Both families can interact in the mansion but only the main family can stay in the tower.

Ted: Sis! I'm home!




Himika: Hi there Big Bro! You took a while. Did you perhaps get lost?

Ted: Sorry about that...I asked for Rayla's help but it ended with me taking a detour.

Himika: La-La huh? How is she doing? Haven't talked to her in ages.

Ted: She's doing okay. (At least that's what I think. She still looked upset when we parted ways.)

Himika: That's good to know...If I wasn't that busy, I would pay her a visit.

Ted: I bet she would be happy to see you.

Himika: Anyway, let me see that war fan.




Himika: Yep, I'm sure cousin Hina going to love this.

Ted: Why a war fan anyway?

Himika: Why not? I bet that if we introduce her to that store, she'll fawn over all the items in display.

Ted: I doubt that...Isn't she like, super quiet? (That's what I've heard anyway.)

Moments later, everyone had food on their plates.

Tiane: On the contrary. I was crowned as the best soup maker of Spring Zone.

Tiane: Homeless People.

Rayla and Reeta: What?

Tiane: You see, once a month, our Boss would invite a bunch of homeless to the hangout spot and the whole gang would distribute soup for them to eat.

Tiane: What are you so surprised? I believe I told you we aren't the kind of gang that causes trouble...Well, some of them are rather impusive, the boss even has to scold them once in a while, but we are really a group that wants to enjoy life.

Hiagor: I'm afraid that's too high of a bar for me to jump over.
Little Girl: Do you solve a lot of mysteries?

Hiagor: I investigate cases, yes.
Little Boy: Then, can you find my toy car? I've searching for it everywhere but didn't find it.

Hiagor: I can try.

Amara: Hey, Don't bother him with such requests. I already told you to keep your toys once you're done playing with them.

Hiagor: Hehehe... (So these are the people that Rayla interacts with everyday.)

Hiagor: Anyway, I've come here to know Miss Rayla a little better.

Amara: I see, what for exactly?

Hiagor: Database purposes. She's such an influential figure in Spring Zone, yet I know so little about her.

Amara: Is that so? What do you think Rayla?

Rayla: I don't really mind. Let him investigate as much as he want.

Despite her initial suspicions, Reeta ends up enjoying the food Tiane made. Rayla herself was impressed as well, but decided not to say a word, despite the happy and warm atmosphere, her mood was still somewhat bad.

The warm moment was a nice thing to have in a day's end. Kaito was sitting near the others, while Lucent was at the table's end as they had agreed before.


Kaito: Hmm! The food's really tasty, Tiane! Those guys weren't lying about you being the best!

Lucent: (I... have to admit, she cooks really well.)

As everyone was enjoying their food, a cracking sound was heard. When everyone looked, one of the kids tripped and dropped his plate. However, it wasn't accidental.


???: M-My plate!
Boy: Haha! Nerdy fell down and dropped his plate!

???: You put your feet just so I could fall!
Boy: What? I didn't do it! It's not my fault you're so clumsy!

???: I-I'm not clumsy! You're the one who...
Lucent: ... Here.

When they looked, Lucent put his plate in the spot where the boy was going to sit.


Lucent: It's really tasty. Enjoy it.

???: T-Thanks...

Lucent: And you.
Boy: W-What?!

After giving the other boy a stare, Lucent went towards the door, exiting the dining hall. Kaito, however, stopped him before he could leave, worried about how Lucent haven't been eating.


Kaito: Wait, won't you eat?!

Lucent: I... lost my appetite.

Kaito: Hold on, you haven't eat for two or three days! You can't just leave without-

Lucent: ... That isn't important. I'm going back to my room. Good night.

Releasing himself from the grip, he left the dining hall and went towards his room. Before he could leave, he felt someone holding his cape.

BGM: Twink's Theme (Paper Mario)


???: E-Excuse me!

Lucent: Hmm?

???: I... wanted to thank you for the food and... and say that we can share it!

Lucent: It's fine. I'm... not hungry.

???: But Big Bro Kaito said you haven't eaten for three days. Will you... be okay?

Lucent: ... I will.

???: OK... Hey, can I ask you something? If you have time, can we play together tomorrow?

That was a surprising thing for Lucent. He never expected one of the kids to call him to play. Generally they would ask the other "brothers" and "sisters" to do it, though it seems this certain one was interested on playing with him and not with the others.


Lucent: You want to... play with me?

???: Yes. I mean, everyone says that you're kinda scary, but I think you're really cool.

Lucent: Umm... I think... maybe I could...

???: Nice! Thanks, Big Bro Lucent! Oh, by the way, I'm...

Kiragi went back to the dining hall so he could eat while leaving a surprised Lucent on the living room. He wouldn't expect any of the kids coming close to him, less treating him like a "brother".


Lucent: Huh... "Big Bro Lucent". I never thought someone would call me like that. Then again, I would never guess he would call me to play with him when the others are around.

Lucent: He called me cool... why do I... feel like smiling out of a sudden?

Then, Lady Amara glares at the boy who made Kiragi trip.


Granny: We're going to have some talk after this little boy.

Hiagor: Well, I guess I have seen enough.

Hiagor finishes his plate, then gets up.


Hiagor: I thank you all for having me tonight.
Little Girl: Are we going to see you again Mr. Detective?

Hiagor: Who knows? I might still have business in this place.

Rayla: Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

Hiagor: That would be the door's funeral then.

He gets up, then leaves the orphanage. Rayla also finishes her plate, then heads for the living room, but before saying Good Night to everyone.


Rayla: (Maybe I'll be in a better mood tomorrow...)

Unlike everyone else in the orphanage, Rayla sleeps on the ground, as she feels like she shouldn't be taking the space of the people who were at the orphanage way before her. Soon, she falls asleep.


Tiane: (And here me thinking she was using my room...)

Tatianna looks at the rooftop.


Tiane: (You really should care more...about this city...Do more than just help those around you...)

Tiane: (I would probably join if that was the case.)

As the members and some of the servants of the branching family were having dinner, suddenly, a member of the main family showed up. Everyone at the table suddenly stopped an bowed to him.


Himika: (It's Uncle Taira...)

Taira Yurei Seimei: Good evening. I hope that you're all enjoying the night.
Servant: Yes sir.

Taira: So, I've come here to inform that the trainning of the future head of the family will be finished when summer begins.

Ted: Really? That's great!

Taira: Yes. As you know, she's reaching the final stages of her trainning. We from the Main family are trying our best to keep the influence of her Spiritual Aura as supressed as possible...Granted, we didn't expect it to be this strong.

Himika: Really? I thought it was a normal thing.

Taira: On the contrary...Hinamori might be the strongest member to have ever existed in our family...Which is why I really need to reinforce the fact that you should NOT, under ANY circumstances, let her trainning be interrupted.

Himika: (Meaning...more work for me...Not that I'm complaining since it's for Cousin Hina's sake...but I kinda want to rest once in a while.)

Ted: Are you guys really sure you don't need my help?

Taira: Your sleep has already been affected enough by the influence of spirits...we can't run the risk of a non-blood member of the Seimei Family to get possessed by a random spirit now. The spirit might make use of your earth powers, we don't want that to happen.

Ted: I see...It's just...I feel like I'm not doing enough to help you guys.

Taira: Worry not, you'll be responsable for re-introducing her to society.

Taira: You see...Hinamori is saddenedfrustrated that she never got to have friends...ever since childhood, we've been making sure she doesn't wander outside. So she's working hard in order to master her powers so that it doesn't affect the people she wants to make friends with. Being a member of the main family is not an easy task.

Ted: Was it like this for you as well uncle?

Taira: Yeah! However, since it was way before the Ancestor Families revealed themselves to the world, I didn't have any reasons to interact with the outside world. As you know, we were one of the families that didn't have some kind of outside business. We always lived in isolated.

Ted: I see.

The morning came and a new day begun. The sunlight going through the shrine's windows marked the time to wake up. Reimu was the first one awake, preparing breakfast, something she wasn't too much used too. Soon, Marina and Xaizor came downstairs.


Marina: Good morning, Miss Reimu.

Xaizor: ... Yaaaaawn... mornin'...

Reimu: Good morning, both of you. Sit down, breakfast's almost done.

Thanks to the time spent with Lumino in the past, Reimu learned some dishes different from what she used to do when she lived alone. Eggs, milk, bread with butter... a basic breakfast for the three of them.


Reimu: Here you go. *puts the plates on the table*

Marina: I thank for the food given to us today.

Xaizor: *chomp* *chomp* This is good.

Reimu: Once you guys finish, prepare your things and we'll head out to school.

Xaizor: What?! Again?! I don't want to! I want to train!

Reimu: Xaizor, haven't your father warned you to pay attention to your studies more?

Xaizor: *gulp* Y-Yes, ma'am...

Marina: The warning was properly given to him, that I can assure you.

Reimu: Marina, you're not that safe. I don't want you studying the entire day long inside the shrine.

Marina: Eh? You want me to go outside?! But this town is dangerous! If sometheing happens and I am unable to return back home, I-

Reimu: Calm down, nothing of the sort will happen. You know how to fight and defend yourself, right?

They continued to eat as Reimu went upstairs to get their bags since they haven't finished. The two brothers began to think about what would this expedition hold for them as experience. They had their own reasons, but they wanted to complete this with a success.

Kaito woke up and got out of his room. He stretched his arms and smiled at the sun. Even if that made him look stupid, it was something to relax him. Soon, some kids woke up and were already running. The orphanage never stood that quiet when everyone was awake.

Little Girl: Good morning, Big Bro Kaito!

Kaito: Good morning, kids! Don't forget, today story time's on me!
Little Boy: Yaaaay!! We're gonna have stories from Big Bro Kaito!!
Little Girl: Hey, hey, let's tell everyone! We have the best stories to hear today!

Kaito: Don't worry, guys. I, Kaito Momota, will tell you a really cool story today! After all...
Kids: You're the Luminary of the Stars, Kaito Momota!!

Kaito: Heheh! Now go on ahead. I'll join you for breakfast soon enough.

They nodded and ran towards the dining hall for breakfast. This brought a happiness to Kaito that he couldn't describe.

The Intermezzo brothers, while being different, were very united. They woke up at the same time and greeted each other with a big smile.


Auror and Veronica: Good and pretty morning!! May the sun shine at us and give us the most spectacular day!!

They walked towards the the main hall, in direction of the dining hall. The maids and butlers passed by as they exchanged greetings.


Veronica: I feel bad about they organizing out school stuff... I mean, they're maids and butlers, but...

Auror: I know. It kinda annoys me as well. Yet they're the ones who insist that much on doing this, so we can't do much about it.

Veronica: You're right. Oh, but I'm so excited for today!

Auror: The day you wake up feeling down about it, I'll be surprised.

Veronica: That will never happen!

As they walked, Auror thought about the two outsiders. He was curious to know more about these two.


Auror: I might do some research at the school's library and when I get back home today.

Veronica: About what?

Auror: That Kingdom of Arcadia. It's so unknown... I'm not inclined to believe on those two.

Veronica: Huh? But they wouldn't lie about this. I'm certain it exists!

Auror: (Well, Xaizor was really direct, so he was probably being honest. Then again, he seems like the dumbest person I would meeting these last days, so trusting his judgement will lead me to ruin.)

Then, he notices a letter under the clock.


Ted: "Dear Big Bro, As you know, I'll be super extra busy with guard duty, so hopefully, Mr. Happy Cat Clock will be able to wake you up. With love - Himika."

She puts the lens on, being able to see more cleary. Then she looks at the clock and notices the time.


Tiane: The hell? That's too early!

Rayla: That's how we usually wake up around here and you know it, now get up.

Tiane: C'mon...I only slept for five hours...

Rayla: That's your problem, didn't Lady Amara teach you to...Oh wait...You spent a good chunk of your life with the Freelers Gang, you didn't learn anything from RESPONSIBLE ADULTS!!!

As they passed through the room, some kids were playing together with some toys. One of them was Kiragi, who got up and went immediately towards the duo.

After finishing breakfast, the three of the left the shrine and walked down the road to school. Reimu and Xaizor went calmly, but Marina was a little paranoid, worrying about being attacked by thugs.

Rayla threw a magic enhanced uppercut at Reeta, who easily dodged it. She followed up with more punches but Reeta kept seeing them coming and dodged accordingly, as if she was easily predicting their speed and timing.


Rayla: (No way...These are supposed to be faster than her.)

Reeta: (Seems like this dreaded power has it uses.) Now it's my turn...HYA!!!

Reeta dealt a powerful kick that Rayla blocked, but was pushed back.


Reeta: Take this!!!

She fired three fireballs this time, Rayla retaliated with her own energy blasts.


Reeta: Heh! These are different from the others.

The blasts were destroyed by the fireballs, Rayla threw more magic enhanced punches to repel the projectiles away.


Rayla: Urgh...

Reeta: These are directly tied to my Psychic Aura, you won't be able to destroy them with mere shots.

Rayla: When he mentioned enhanced senses...He wasn't joking.

Reeta: No one knows about this dreaded power, not even Lucent and Kaito. I didn't feel like speaking about it because Lucent's issue is just way worse than mine, I can't bother him with something like this.

Rayla: I see...If no one knows about it, then it means that I'm the first fight you've ever had...Your inexperience is going to give me some time to get used to your movements.

Then, Reeta created a bigger fireball and threw at Rayla, who dodged it.

She makes the fireball home-in on Rayla, who kept avoiding it and closely approached Reeta.

Rayla: (She's got desperate fast, proof of her inexperience.) But then, that would give me time to figure out your reaction time. There's no way I'll lost to an amateur such as you.

Reeta: (I hate to admit it...but she's right...However, I won't give up. I just have to defeat her before she figures more about me.)

Then, she remembers the reason why the mysterious group wanted to capture Kaori.

Rayla manages to approach Reeta and purposedly misses a punch, making Reeta dodge out of reflex, but that opened a way for Rayla to finally figure out the timing of her dodge and to land a strong punch that sent Reeta flying towards the tree. The giant fireball dispelled since she lost focus on it.

Rayla: Good...Now listen here...I give up!

Reeta: S-Say what?

Rayla: I'll forget about this whole issue about Lucent.

Reeta: What's this all of a sudden?

Then, Rayla carefully walks towards Reeta and starts whispering in her ear.


Rayla: If you keep showing off that power, the mysterious group might go after you...They are after Psychic Users just like you.

Auror: That reminds me, you said yesterday about your home. I was curious since I haven't heard anything about it and then I decided to research about it, but I found nothing. Where exactly does your kingdom exist?

Xaizor: I don't know.

Auror: Wait, how come you don't know if you live there?

Xaizor: Never was a fan of history and geography, so I don't actually know where we are located in the world or anything 'bout its story. All that I know is that I live there with Marina and that's it.

Tatianna was basically pakour-ing through Spring Zone, making sure to not lose her pace. Due to her newfound reflexes however, she was having an way easier time than she's used to.


Tiane: (Avoiding these obstacles now feels like child's play...It kinda takes the fun of it to be honest...)

Then, she lands on an alley and keeps running. When she leaves it however, she almost bumps into someone. Both parts ended up dodging each other. Tiane pulls the Compact Glaive out of reflex while the other person pulls a gun.


Tiane: Wow! Oh wait, it's you.




Mana: Hello there Tatianna! Seems like you're doing good.

Tiane: Kinda...

Mana: I heard from Miss Nancy that you wanted to stay with Lady Amara.

Tiane: Yeah...I feel like I owe them this much after visiting me at the Guild.

Tiane: It might be hard to believe...But I'm going to school.

Tiane: Didn't Nancy told you? Since my body is already adapted to the device, it won't affect me any further. As for the reason I choose to carry this around...does it even make a difference? Those guys are probably jumping in joy that their little toy can work on normal humans as well. It's not like they're going to miss this device when they can make better versions of this one based on the results.

Auror: Wow, he actually answered.

Through the window, she saw Ted, who was sleeping. The door of the bus closed and started to take off.

She started to run after the bus, even going as far as using her magic to keep up with it. Moments later, she was walking back with Ted following behind.

Once they were reunited, the gates began to open slowly. Auror and Veronica looked up and saw a car coming. They instantly knew who it was and already shown they weren't content with it.


Auror: *sigh* Here comes trouble...

Lucent: That car...

An exaggerated limousine came down the streets. It was bigger than the Intermezzo one. Once it stopped, a butler opened a door and a frivolous girl came out. She was known to be that kind of rich student who looked down on everyone.

As if she was a model, she walked elegantly, but giving condescending eyes to all. Melanie went towards Auror, Veronica and the rest of the group.


Melanie: So you two are still walking with plebians, even though you are nobles? I'm always surprised how you'd put your feet down like this.

Melanie: Auror, where's my good morning?

Auror: Oh, you said something? I was listening to the winds. They sound nicer than your voice.

Melanie threw her hair and turned to go to the gates. When she looked at it, her gaze met with Xaizor and Marina, whom she never saw before.


Melanie: Hmm? I haven't seen you before. I do ignore the lower class, but you do seem new to me.

Masaru: They... actually are, Melanie. Marina is a first-year like you and Xaizor is a third-year.

She pushed Masaru away as she stared directly into Xaizor's eyes. He got extremely uncomfortable as she began to speak.


Melanie: Hmm... Xaizor, is it? You are... cute. I'd give you a 7/10.

Xaizor: W-What?! C-C-Cute?!

Melanie: Ohoho! Getting flustered now? My, my. I'll raise it to an 8/10. Congratulations.

After a little laugh, she turned to look at Marina.


Melanie: But you girl...

Melanie: Help? I don't need your help. Also, what is this dress? Have you come from a farm alongside those other brutes, except the Intermezzo? And your makeup? Gods, not even a miracle can save you!

Veronica: Melanie, stop it! Leave Marina alone!

The students all stopped chatting and looked at Marina. No one talked back to Melanie, more to not give her a rebuttal or to hear even more condescending words from her.

Marina: I had really not expected for our identities to remain in shadows much longer.

Auror: I'm going too, Marina.

Auror: Your brother said about your home... "The Kingdom of Arcadia", was it? I guess that, from our faces, we're not inclined to believe in you, since this place doesn't exist anywhere.

Auror: Since I think Xaizor's not the best person for explaining this, it leaves you to explain it.

Marina: My brother... was not lying.

Auror: Hmm? So you'll lie as well?

Marina: There is an explanation for this. The Kingdom of Arcadia does not exist in this world.

Marina took from a book from her bagpack and placed it open between them. She extended her hand as the book's pages began to flip on their own. Soon, a holographic-like image appeared, showing the Kingdom of Lacrima.

Marina: Our kingdom exists in a space separate from this world's. It is the reason why you have not been able to find information about it through research. Your books and other systems to search for any sort of information about my home will never be able to find anything.

Auror: (What sort of ability is she using?! This definitely is not normal...!)

Marina: Also, just for an correction. My brother has mistaken the name. It is not The Kingdom of Arcadia and yes The Kingdom of Lacrima. Our father, King Lumino Arcadia, created this land on his own in order to save people from other worlds in danger.

Marina: As for me, allow me to present myself once again. I am Princess Marina Arcadia, from the Kingdom of Lacrima. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Auror: Princess?

Marina: Yes. As proof of it...


From her bag, Marina took a circlet. It was her proof as member of the Royal Family of Lacrima.


Marina: This is my circlet. The one I use on ceremonies at our home.

Auror: ...

Marina: I know all of this may sound like a fantasy I am making to hide more secrets. However, I have no reason to lie. Our kingdom exists... not in this wold, but it does. I am its princess and Xaizor is its prince.

Marina: Even so, I will defer to your judgement. If you do wish to seek me as a liar, I will not blame you. I also believe that my explanation may not suffice all of your doubts.

Rayla: Other...world...

Surprisingly enough, Rayla spoke in a rather solemn voice, as if she had realized something after seeing Marina's book and the kind of magic and technology it possessed. A terrible image from the past was flashing through her mind once more.




Rayla: So, other worlds do exist...

Ted: Rayla? What are you talking about?

Rayla: Right...Let me tell you the reason of why I believe her. Several years ago, I used to hang out with my friends at the lone tree in the grasslands. One day, these strange creatures appeared out of some portals above us...And they've devoured my friends.

Ted: R-Really?

Rayla: I managed to awaken my powers in time to save myself...At the time, nobody believed my story and declared that my friends went missing. Years later, and the central part of this city was overrun by the same monsters that attacked my friends. That area had to be isolated. From what I've heard, they can't keep those monsters captured for too long, they simply summon a portal and leave. I didn't want to believe it because it sounded plain crazy...but I've came to the conclusion that they do come from another world or dimension...

Ted: I understand now. I'm inclined to believe Marina as well.

Rayla: Marina...Let me bother you with one more question...You came to this place because of these monsters...right?

Ted: (Geez, I haven't seen Rayla this depressed...But then again, she's relieving some bad stuff that probably still gives her nightmares...)

Ted: (She saw firsthand how her friends died...Yet I've never saw how my family perished. She made an oath that made her stay strong...while I've developed a fear for hurting people...Dammit, when I'm going to decide what my path will be?)
