Its because he could open portals through dimensions. Thats legit one of his powers his only weakness is the penance stare even tho he does it as well.

@Blade17Then he wouldn't really have a reason to be there. He could just not use the ring. The Red ring make you angry, but we could do the Blood Ocean thing with you so it doesn't effect you, and then you could just refuse to use it.

Yea sounds good. My character will have the rage ring and he decides not to use it. Because it will make the rider even more uncontrollable. How does that sound?
