Hello again everybody, here I have another fun and exciting topic of discussion: the paranormal! I'd like to hear your thoughts and experiences regarding the subject. Do you believe in things such as ghosts, angels, demons, and aliens? Have you or anyone you know experienced something strange? Please share here, but be respectful. =)

I'll go first.

I'm undecided, and currently agnostic. I've had a lot of strange things happen to me and to people I know, but I worry that my mind may be playing tricks on me because I want to believe. For right now, I'm leaning on the "maybe" side. I'm still looking for hard, undeniable proof to confirm or deny the existence of god(s), angels demons, aliens, cryptids, or what have you.

Okay, on to my experiences.

When I was around 13 I moved into my father's house (parents divorced). The house was unfinished so we lived in the basement. At night, when all the lights and electronics were shut of, it was near pitch black and absolutely quiet, but that didn't bother me. It was the best sleep I ever had in my life. But some nights...I would get a feeling that I was being watched. I often had sleep paralysis. And I started having a lot of extremely vivid and terrifying dreams, and I used to have a journal before my laptop crashed and it got corrupted.. oh well.

Anyway, I've had plenty of ghost and demon dreams. But these two have still stuck with me and are ingrained in my memory to this day:

Now, a few real-life experiences.

That's not all, but I don't want to share my whole weird life story. I want to hear about yours!

Okay, my turn!

Roughly a decade ago, I was working midnights with two other people who were my partners. Anyway, we decided to go explore this tunnel system underneath a school. The lights were on and all, but we had to pull on the edge of the chain link door to get inside. So we're walking, crawling over piles of furniture parts, etc. when we arrive at an intersection. Immediately to our right, there's a cell-like room with a bunk bed, a chair, and some miscellaneous items and it all looks old and abandoned. The place used to be a bunker in case a war broke out, so we weren't the least bit surprised. Was it creepy though? You betcha! So the three of us are standing there, not going inside the cell but peeking in from the hall, when I suddenly hear what I believe was a moan or something from right in front of me. The three of us simultaneously freak out as come to find out, we'd heard the exact same thing but there was no one else there. We ran back as if our lives depended on it. What a night!

I may as well chime in. Though I keep my feet firmly in reality (or I try to), I've never ruled out the possibility of the paranormal. I come from a religious background, so I've always believed that there are things that exist, but we can't see, be they angels, demons, or spirits. Cryptids have fascinated me for as long as I've known about them, but I need facts that show me why it's possible that a creature might exist. As for aliens… well, let's just say they need to land in my yard and come in for a beer for me to believe.

When I was young, I owned hamsters. There was one in particular that I was attached to, a male albino named Snowball. He was a smart little guy, and sometimes it seemed he'd understand what I was saying to him. But as with all pets, Snowball died (at an old age for a hamster, I might add). That should have been the end of the story.

However, a few weeks after his death, I was laying in bed and couldn't sleep. Always been an insomniac. I'd been tossing and turning for a few hours when a kind of most formed into a white ball a few centimeters above my blanket. The weird thing is, it felt like it had weight to it. Not much, but it felt like there was something there. It made its way up my body to my chest, and then went to the spot between my neck and shoulder before disappearing.

I'll tell you why that seemed fairly significant, and related. Snowball got to the point that he'd sit on my shoulder like a parrot sometimes. In fact, I could walk around the house with him like that if I was careful.

I like to think that was Snowball. Maybe doing a little check up on me, or trying to let me know that he was okay.

Well my mom was very superstitious, she's had multiple experiences but I'll tell you mine which are only a few and most minor. I was 10 or 9 and spending the weekend at my moms, I was laying on the couch playing Luigi's Mansion and it was midday. I was scared already because I was young and my mother used to watch horror movies so even a Luigi's Mansion title scared me but what scared me more is when the T.V switched off with a click I turned it on again only for it to turn off I was glad we left that place. Apparently an old man died there but his spirit was not malevolent, I have never been harmed by a spirit. My mother was a Wiccan by the way.

I have a Wiccan aunt that I never get to see. A sister that religion hops and tries everything once. Most of my family is Christian, but and I'm agnostic for the time being.

Your story reminds me... the house I currently live in is over 200 years old. We have a few creepy antique dolls that always seem to be staring at you. And items just seem to fall down off shelves and tables. Noise making toys just start talking randomly. Sometimes, our cats get big eyed and start running and screeching all over the house.

Sometimes I get this awful feeling I call "ghost dread" where my heart rate just seems to pick up out of nowhere and I get this heavy feeling like weighted blanket has been put on me, and it gets hard to move (and I'm definitely awake) and I feel like I'm being watched. Usually turning the light on helps... but not always.

There have been a couple cases where I swear I heard a little girl talking to me (there are no children in our house) and a couple times I saw a shadow figure at the corner of my eyes... I cant wait to move out of this place. x.x'
