Trish frowned and after a few minutes she said “I was wondering what that was…a fire ball looking creature…he was there. Fighting till this huge darkness took him.”

John looked up and said “we are going to need another jar. This one is almost full. But the mark is almost gone…” he looked back and said “this explains why she wasn’t healing well before…”

Kay found her answer curious and rose an eyebrow. She would have to talk with John about this later on. She couldn't help but wonder if the young girl's dreams were only for things that had happened or if they come to her before something happen. "Trish, do you think these dreams come to you before these things happen, during the event or after?" she asked her.

Chas nodded and reached over for another jar that he grabbed and handed it to John. "here" he said to him. "hopefully after this Serena you'll be able to heal properly now" he told her, seeing how she was doing by just looking. It was clear that Josh still very much had her hands and keeping her focused.

Trish thought for a few minutes then said “it depends. Some times before and a few times during. I can’t be sure about the ones involving you guys but…they are the first ones that keep happening over and over again”

John took the jar with a nod and moved the other one, setting it down and said “we to seal that. Don’t let any touch your skin” Serena was panting now, looking ill but healing. She had a firm grip on his hands, happy to have something to focus on.

Kay nodded at the girl's words. "okay..." she replied, taking another gulp of her drink and sighing. She found herself looking down at her wrist, not realising it was the same one that had the bond, as she didn't actually see it come to fruition, so for her it was an utter guess to which wrist it was. Did she seriously somehow cause a bond between herself and John without realising it/healing him completely? She knew she needed to look into it to find out what it meant, but for now she was going to look after Trish.

Chas carefully took the full jar and sealed it up as he had all the lids and other secure magically enhanced boxes to seal it inside. Like John said, he made sure none of the fluid touched him as he did so, used to having to do this sort of thing for his mate. "you're almost done Serena, you're doing so well" Josh reassured her.

Trish looked towards the other room and asked “is Serena going to be alright? How bad is this demon thing?”

John sighed as the last of the ooze came out and the spell finished. Serena gasped and fell forward, falling against Josh and shaking. John stood with the other jar and said “alright, these need to go into the vault. Serena you need a shower and rest. A lot of it”

Kay gla ced toward the other room when Trish asked about Serena and then back at her, "I don't know how bad that demon is but what I do know is that John will make sure she's okay. She's a tough girl, she'll be fine" she told the kid. She had plenty of faith in all of them in that other room that Serena could pull through.

As Serena fell forward, Josh quickly let go of her hands and got his arms properly around her to be a barricade between her and the floor. "where's your bathroom? I'll help her get there" Josh offered, fully planning on just getting her to the bathroom, then coming back downstairs. He had morals after all.

Chas stood up eith the first jar and handed it to him, knowing he preferred to access the vault alone which as utterly fair enough. He'd rather not be in the vault anyway.

Trish looked up and said “they are done. I think Serena might need our help now. I heard josh talking about a bathroom” she jumped down and skipped back to the other room.

Serena was panting hard, her body done with any kind of moving or function. She said weakly “thank…you…I can’t move…at all…” she flinched and rested her head on his chest. John took the jar and said “let me deal with these first…then we can clean this up and figure out who sent that thing”

Kay smiled and sighed as Trish insisted on going to help her brother in helping Serena. Putting her bottle down on the worktop, she followed on into the main room to see that Trish was indeed right in that they were done saving Serena.

Josh placed Serena's arms round his neck and as he stood up he lifted Serena into his arms to hold her. "it's okay, I got you" he told her. "the bathroom is third door to the left on this floor. Serena can guide you" Chas explained to Josh. He then turned to John, "alright, I'll meet you in the study".

John nodded and left the room, vanishing so that no one would know where the vault was. He wouldn’t take any chances. Serena nodded weakly and muttered “thank you josh…” Trish appeared and said “come on Kay. Serena looks like she’s going to need help cleaning up”

Josh nodded as he kept ahold of her about to head in the direction of where Chas said the bathroom was. It was then she saw Trish bringing Kay over to insist on helping making him smile. Kay did follow Trish over and saw that Trish was probably correct. "get her to the bathroom Josh and I'll help her get cleaned up" Kay told him, deciding she may as well be as useful as she could be.

Josh nodded once again and took Serena to the bathroom, letting Kay open the door when they reached it before walking inside and putting Serena down on the closed toilet lid, using it as a seat for her. Kay walked in behind and went too the bath where she started to run a bath for Serena. "okay, you can both go now, I got this" she told Josh and Trish. "Josh there's various drinks in the fridge, help yourself" she told him. "uhh.. Okay thanks" he replied sheepishly before ushering Trish to follow him as he began to exit the bathroom.

Trish smiled and went to Serena and hugged her gently. “Thank you for saving me…” she ran out after josh and Serena smiled weakly. “Sweet…kid…what did you two…talk about…while I was…getting detoxed?”

John came back as the siblings did and said “all locked up and secured. Now what is the next thing we need to do?”

Kay couldn't help but smile as Trish hugged Serena before leaving with Josh. She kept her focus on the water level in the bath whilst also chatting with Serena. "about her dreams. She dreamt our first meeting, and the dreams she has about us repeat." she explained, before turning the taps off when the bath filled up enough.

Chas looked up when John returned, "well Kay is helping Serena in the bathroom so I guess for now we can hold off the research due to you having guests in the house" he told John. "it'd be rude to do research with them around" he added.

Serena frowned and slowly got up and slipped her clothes off carefully. “Interesting…I wonder why she’s just seeing us and not anything else going on?” She got into the tub carefully and hissed as the water touched her wounds. “Bloody that hurts…”

Kohn raised an eyebrow then said “we need to figure out how they have magic energy and she has foresight dreams. And no one has noticed till now”

Kay helped Serena into the bath slowly and stayed close by. "I don't know. She said her brother sometimes gets feelings that something will be happen before it does but doesn't think anything of it. Apparently he's also told her what she gets is just dreams... Nothing more. Though I feel like that may change now" she replied. She grabbed a soft sponge and dipped into rhe water and helped Serena by slowly and carefully washing down her back. "I got a feeling they won't be going anywhere anytime soon... Or at most will stay where they live but constsntly part of our group." she added before getting a small soft smirk on her lips, "So Josh seems pretty nice" she said to her, deciding to try and lighten the mood.

Chas nodded, "so I guess talk to them for a bit? Seemed like Kay was talking to Trish a lot in the kitchen, maybe see what Kay found out first? Or you could just talk to Trish yourself. I know what you're like" he added. "but you also got the whole bond thing to look into as well and with Kay, not on your own" he told him.

Serena smiled softly and said “he is…very sweet too. He was trying so hard not to let me pass out and not look at me to be respectful at the same time. It was very nice…no, we need to keep them close. That eater was after Trish, and we need to figure out why”

John looked at his wrist and muttered “that is true…I wish I could have seen the markings myself…do you remember what they looked like?”

Kay smiled as Serena spoke nicely of Josh, "I noticed the blushing you were doing as well around him." she lightly teased as she continued helping Serena out. "I agree I think it might be worth keeping them close by, at least for a little while at least. Maybe one of us should go with them to theirs so they can grab some stuff" she suggested, clearly hinting at it being Serena.

Chas nodded at John's question, "yeah, it was like a string that wrapped round both your wrists, then had a circular design with a flame and a single wing inside it on both of you" he explained, using one hand to describe it by using a fi ger to 'draw' it out on his wrist to show exactly where it all sat. "it glowed brighter and brighter as it appeared, then as you came to it faded to beneath your skin" he added.

Serena looked at her and sighed. “A guy like that wouldn’t want anything to do with me…just being a nice guy…he has his sister to think about…”

John was pacing as he heard this and then said as the siblings came back in “so it was her branding me…did my mark appear on her?”

Kay smiled as she finished washing Serena's back, putting the sponge down and continued to perch on the edge of the bath behind her to give her some privacy whilst still remaining close by incase she needed any assistance. She kept her gaze firmly on the floor. "eh, don't sell the chance so short. If they're both gonna be here for a little while, you know I now know of a rally nice room you can take him to. It's like a garden inside this place. It's perfect for going with someone and getting to know them" she said to her, blantsntly hinting that she should at least get to know Josh more.

"the same mark appeared on both of you. You both had the wing and the flame in the circle" Chas explained to him. "it happened quite quickly but at least I could make it all out. Serena thinks its a linking bond or something.. I dunno for sure. I don't think Kay did it on purpose either. She was already out cold when it happened." he added, not wanting John thinking she did it on purpose to entrap him as Chas really didn't think that was the case.

Serena glanced at her and said “I already lost one love to the madness of this magic world…I’m not sure I want to put anyone else thru that…especially because he is all his sister has” she sunk into the water more and sigh.

John nodded and said as he kept walking around “so either fee did it or…there is more to that riddle that hellblazer and the fire bird were meant for great things…I’m not sure what the bond will do. Hopefully not cause her any more trouble then I already have….”

Kay's smile dropped when Serena said what she did, letting her sink down into the water eith a sigh. "I can understand that...I really can. I'm sorry you've lost someone Serena" she told her honestly.

"hey... John listen to me, that woman has dealt with more trouble way before you came along. Not all her problems if any at all have been because of you." Chas replied sternly, "so don't you dare blame yourself for whatever she's gone through recently. Being what she is she would have gotten herself into the latest trouble even without you in her life. She couldn't have survived much longer on the streets on her own and you know that as well as she does" he added.

"everything alright?" Josh asked coming into the room and accidentally overhearing the conversation.
