Kay nodded at his words and as Chas mentioned about the bond sigil, she couldn't help but look down at her own wrists, wondering which one it was that got the bond and why. She seemed to vaguely remember about Fee saying something about how she was meant to united with John but she didn't think too much of the wording at the time. "stay with me?" she asked.

Chas looked up as Trish suddenly appeared again and mentioned about the accident Serena and John were in yesterday before looking at John, "I didn't say anything about that. None of us have spoken a word about it" he told him, just as confused as to how Trish could know such a detail about their lives.

Josh looked at his surprised, "Trish, how do you know what happened to them?" he asked his sister, as he started to ask himself how many more surprising things were gonna be thrown onto him.

John smiled and nodded. “Of course love…I’m not going anywhere” when he turned to Chas he looked at Trish then he said “Trish…did you hear about it or see it?”

Trish tilted her head and said “I saw it last night when I was asleep. It was bad and both of you got really hurt. Ms Shade was thrown into that beam and it crashed down on her. She was trying to protect John with her shadows but it was too much. Then that thing went for John and Serena blocked it with herself. It went thru her.”

Serena stared, going whiter then she already was. She didn’t tell the others about that yet. She had only remembered it happening this morning. John looked at Serena and raised an eyebrow. Serena looked down and said weakly “it happened in the warehouse…I was trying to move John and it was a black fog or something. It was aiming for John and it took the hit…”

John looked at Chas “did they check her back for wounds or burns?” Serena was shaking against josh, the shock getting to her worse.

Chas and Kay both listened to Trish as she spoke about the incident at the warehouse, both completely flabbergasted about how such a young girl would know such a thing. Hearing that whatever was in the warehouse with them went through Serena made Kay want to sit up a bit, as she rubbed her temples with her fingertips, a muzzy head brewing rapidly in her head. She noticed how Serena was reacting and instantly got the feeling that Serena wasn't going to tell them and she was about to ask her if she planned on telling them, when Serena did actually explain.

Chas looked back at John and shook his head, "not that I ever noticed mate. What do you think it was?" he asked, seeing Josh bring Serena into the main room and sat her on the other chair instead of taking her to the study upstairs. The chair was closer and the girl clearly couldn't remain standing for much longer. He didn't know what to do for her as shock was starting to set in, running one hand through his already messy hair, making it more tousled.

"and why would it go for John?" Kay questioned.

John started to pace around and said “it could have been one of the demon clients who came just in time to see the mess we made…then wanted pay back…or…” he looked at Serena and saw how weak she was. “Or…Serena might have saved my neck from being taken over. It went thru her…” Trish nodded and said “the spirit got really mad, then blasted the beam above you both. It acted like it couldn’t do what it wanted to do…”

Serena held her head and muttered “demons can possess what already has a spirit within them…I have the bane already…” she rubbed her good arm and John walked over, checked her eyes. “She could have some kind of poisoning from coming in contact with the spirit…but without knowing exactly what kind attacked I can’t cure it…”

Serena smiled weakly and said “it’s alright…I’ll pull thru…just need to get back to work and…” she swayed on the chair, her vision blurring again.

THe idea that this thing that got to Serena and hurt hurt not only her but John as well just because of her made her sick to her stomach. It felt like no matter what she did, she was putting them in danger at every turn. As thankful as she was for Serena not being possessable, she didn't like that she still got hurt and it was making a serious effect on her. "Trish was there anything else in your dream that you saw about it?" she asked her cautiously, sitting upright and patting the couch beside her so Trish could sit down if she wanted to.

Chas sighed not liking when a demon or spirit manages to do this kind of injury to someone. He and John had seen this kind of thing before and most of the time it didn't end well in the slightest. Very few people survived such an attack and if they did, they were left with lasting affects, but then there were very rare ones that survived with no side effects. He just hoped Serena would be the very latter option of those scenarios.

Josh saw her sway in the seat more and wondered what he could do to help, "Is there a way to find out what kind did this to her? Is there a way to heal her? Can she..." he asked, then gestured at Kay before looking back at John and Chas, "heal her? She seemed to have healed you" he said to John.

Serena shook her head weakly and said “don’t you dare Kay…your still drained from John…I’ll be fine…no one else is…” she flinched and lowered her head. Trish skipped over and sat by Kay and looked at her.

“It was black…and it had red eyes. It didn’t talk though…it kinda looked like in the Harry Potter movies with the bad guys transporting to other places?”

John looked over and said “wait, the smoky look?” Trish nodded and John smirked. “Nicely done kiddo” he took off for the study and yelled “Chas! I need the blessed oil and anything we have from Asia!”

Kay held her hands up as if to say 'No complaints from me, I won't..' knowing that even if she wanted to heal Serena, she knew realistically she couldn't. Like Serena said, she was still far too drained to heal another being. She hated that she couldn't just make things better for Serena but she had overdone it by mistake with John so she had to stop at some point for a while. SHe smiled softly as Trish came over and sat next to her whilst also explaining what the spirit looked like.

She kind of got what the kid meant by looking like something from Harry Potter, but it seemed John knew it so much better than she did as it seemed to ring a bell with him. She looked up when John made a beeline for the study before calling down to Chas. Chas heard the request and instantly got up going to where John kept the blessed oil and then scanned as quickly as he could the shelves for anything from Asia, grabbing what he found as he found it, then headed back toward Serena, gesturing for Josh to move out of the way. "Trust me, you're gonna wanna stay back for this and let John do what he does best" he explained.

Josh nodded reluctantly and headed closer to where his sister and Kay were on the other couch, perching on the arm rest beside his sister.

Serena flinched and asked weakly “Chas…what is he doing?” They heard things falling over and one cursed word as Joh hit his head. Then he appeared and set down a scroll and opened it. “We are dealing with a Japanese demon…I know this one. Nasty buggers but we can fix this”

John laid the scroll in front of Serena and pulled a small blade from his pocket and cut his palm. He let blood drip onto the scroll and then said “Serena, we need to take your shirt off. That oil needs to go on the wound. Which my guess is on your back”

Serena sighed and tried to take it off but couldn’t on her own.

Hearing the crashing around from upstairs, Chas wasn't surprised that someone asked him what John was doing. "I think it's best not to ask. He always gets like this when he's looking for things." he replied, "It's his.....'method' I guess you could say" he smirked whilst making air quotes with his fingers, not even caring if John heard him or not. It's not like he would ever stop teasing the living shit out of his best mate and his ways.

He watched as his mate came back downstairs, as did Kay, both looking with interest at what John said it was whilst Chas gave him the bits he found also. With John saying Serena needed to remove her shirt due to the injury being on her back, Josh saw her struggle and sheepishly helped her whilst also trying to not look. "Trish look away please" he asked of her. "I can take her to the kitchen for a drink Josh" Kay offered, standing up. She wanted to get some paracetomol anyway for her headache so she figured she would help Josh out by taking Trish to the kitchen.

"Come on Trish, lets get you a soda and maybe I can steal some of John's secret stash for us" she said, saying the second part a little quieter in a cheeky whisper to the girl.

Serena was wearing a sports bra under her shirt, and she was covered in scars. Her back had a huge black circle on it, under her marking Chas had seen before. She flinched and said “what is it? Is there something there?”

John tossed the oil to Josh and said “put that on the curse mark. Once that’s done we can do the cleansing”

When Serena's back was revealed Josh had to put all his effort into really stopping himself from gasping at all the scars she had. "Yeah there is" he told her, then looked at John as he spoke to him, nodding and catching the oil that was thrown to him. Undoing the jar, he put the oil on the black circular mark just as John instructed him to. It only took him a few seconds before it was done, "oKay it's done" he said, putting the jar of oil down on the coffee table.

Kay took Trish into the kitchen and got out a can of coca cola for the girl, presuming she could drink it as she really didn't know how to deal with kids at all. She then walked to one of the cabinets and pulled out some chocolate for them both before getting herself some painkillers.

Trish jumped onto the counter and said “thanks. So how did you end up with these guys?” She drank from the soda, swinging her feet side to side.

Serena flinched at the oil as John was setting up the table and nodded. “Alright…Serena, this is going to be nasty but has to be done” he moved his bleeding hand over the scroll again and chanted something in Japanese and the symbols glowed green. As did the curse mark and Serena cried out in pain, nearly falling forward. A black just started to leak out of the skin.

Kay smiled seeing how Trish was, it scarily reminding her of herself at her age and what she used to do when her mother cooked in the kitchen, or more precisely, baked. At the question asked, she sighed wondering how to tell a kid her story, "Well...it's kinda complicated I guess. but they saved me from the streets is the simplest answer. A monster or two were after me, and Serena, John and Chas all in their own way came to save me." she explained, hoping she was simple enough for Trish. "Now they're helping me to understand why monsters are after me and keeping me safe" she added.

Josh took Serena's hand in support as she winced and cried out in the pain as he witnessed the black liquid leave her back and oozue out of her skin. "You're doing great, it'll be over soon" he tried reassuring her, "just squeeze my hand" he added, trying to be of some kind of help, figuring it's the least he could do for this woman.

Trish tilted her head and said “your the fire bird. That’s what I kept dreaming about the last week…which makes Serena the shadow wolf I saw…brother told me they were just dreams but…”

John moved Josh in front of her and said “have her focus on you. This is going to hurt. Chas? We need something to clean this up and we can’t let it get anywhere”

The moment Trish said that Kay was the fire bird she dreamed of, Kay found herself looking up and at Trish shocked, wondering how she knew that, how her dreams could have told her that. "I am... Trish what else have these dreams of yours told you?" she asked, looking at her curiously. It seemed this kid was most definitely the one with the magic and Kay felt she needed to know what she knew even more so. Could this kid give her any kind of answers?? She had to know.

Josh did as John instructed and went in front of Serena, taking her hands back into his own and making her look at him. "just keep looking at me okay?" he told her. Chas nodded and grabbed one of the engraved jars for holding spirits/demon ectoplasm inside holding it close by, as well as handing John a cloth for Serena's back. "here, this should do it" he told him.

Trish looked up as she was thinking then said “the dreams started after our parents died…Josh gets these feelings kinda like a sixth sense. He always knows something is going to happen right before it does. The dreams haven’t been that clear until the last few weeks. A shadow wolf protecting a young fire bird…demons all around…”

John nodded and held the jar under the ooze, the mark slowly fading as the cleanse worked. He said “Serena, I owe you big time for taking this…it would have killed me. These things are nasty little buggers…but we will get it out” Serena was panting, shaking badly as she held Josh’s hands tightly. She muttered “it hurts worse then that bloody bug bite did…”

Kay listened to what Trish had to say, finding it interesting that Josh had some kind of psychic ability whilst Trish had similar but in her dreams. When she described the dream of the night Serena and John found her she felt even more shocked. "that was the night they found me in the alley..." she muttered, more to herself than to Trish. "Trish, can I ask you something?" she asked her.

Chas felt relieved that the cleansing was working and thought Serena was an absolute badass for being able to take on such an attack or attempted attachment. He knew John wasn't lying about it being able to kill him either, knowing that John had demon blood in him thanks to the deal he made years ago. Josh kept ahold of her hands tightly, letting her hold on as tightly as she needed to. "a bug bite?" he questioned. "I'm sure she explain another time" Chas replied.

Trish smiled at her and nodded. “Of course you can. What do you want to know?” She took a bite of the candy Kay gave her.

Serena smirked and said “I fought a demon bug master…before I ran into Kay…one stung me in the neck…it hurt like heck…” John was looking at the ooze and was frowning. “I think I know who sent this lesser demon…but I’ll have to check a few things. Serena? How are you?” Serena was shaking and said “I’ll live…”

She didn't know why but Kay was half expecting Trish not wanting to answer anymore questions from her, so when she said she could ask her what was on her mind, she nodded in a slight surprised manner. "You say you've dreamt about me and Serena, but I gotta know...have you dreamt about the firebird and a hellblazer?" she asked, finding ti a bit referring to herself and john in the third person but before she could change her wording, it just came out in such a style.

Josh listened to Serena explain the story briefly even though Chas said about leaving it until after this fiasco. He gave the expression that eprfectly conveyed the reaction of 'yeeesh!' as she explained about it, even if he did still find hearing the word demons or demon being said like it was perfectly a normal situation to come into contact with them. He could tell that it must feel pretty normal to these people but to him it would still take a short amount of time to fully comprehend it all. "you need me to take over anything John?" Chas asked him.
