When Trish hugged her tightly, she grabbed ahold of her firmly, making it so the girl clung onto her via sitting her hip and stood up, looking behind and seeing what the creature was doing to John. SHe felt so torn on what to do, she wanted the child out but she wanted to help John as well. "I'm coming back for you!" she told him, running out the morge with Trish and running to the lift. "He's here, I promise, his name is Josh right? Messy brown hair?" she said to her, trying to prove that she wasn't lying to the child.

Josh and Chas both helped Serena get to the lift even though neither were feeling too confident with Serena in her current state of health. They both could see it wouldn't take much to topple the woman over but pressed to call the lift, finding it was already back on their floor, as the doors opened straight away, letting them all inside where Chas pressed for the basement. Something was feeling off to him and he just hoped Kay and John were okay. In the same amount of time it took John and Kay to get down to the basement, it took the three of them, with the doors opening and them seeing Kay running with Trish toward the lift. "Chas! Josh!" she called out, keeping a firm hold on Trish as best she could.

As the doors opened Serena bolted out of the lift, not letting her pain get the better of her. She ran past Kay and yelled “Josh is in the lift! Chas come on!” Trish looked up and yelled “Josh! Big brother! The monster came back!”

John was fighting to keep holding the monster but it was stronger then him. Soon it threw John off of it and John slammed into the far wall, sliding down as the eater floated above him. It hissed at him as John forced open his eyes. “Back off…” the water chuckled and then grabbed John and slammed him into the wall. It went back to feeding off of him as it said “I’ll send you to hell, blazer…” John cursed but then passed out as Serena hit the door frame and yelled “John!” She waved her hands and shadows shot out and wrapped around the eater. She yelled “I banish you back to the realm where you came! Be gone!” The shadows snapped and pulled the eater back into its plane, John sliding down the wall and to the floor, his head on his chest and passed out.

Serena stood there panting and stumbled back, then said as Kay and Chas ran up “it’s gone…she’s safe…John is…” she flinched and fell backwards, spent.

Kay instantly handed Trish over to Josh who gladly took her into his arms and hugged her tightly, overjoyed that she was awake finally and looking better, albeit frightened. "It's okay Trish, I got you and these people can help us." he told her, trying to soothe her whilst completely having no plans on letting go of her. "Take her upstairs, we'll meet you up there" she told him, to which he nodded and pressed the button to head on upstairs.

Kay then ran back to the morgue with Chas to find Serena doing all she can do to banish the creature and John falling down unconscious. Kay instantly ran over to him and without event hinking of how much energy it would take, she started healing him with all her might. She felt every single part of him that was injured be healed, every broken bone he had knead itself bacxk together and it was proving too much for her but she couldn't stop, unable to peel away from him as their connection kept them tied together. When it was over with she stumbled over on the floor, panting. "I did it...." she mumbled as she now was the one who passed out, something beginning to glow and appear round her wrist.

John felt her next thin but couldn’t open his eyes until he felt stronger arms holding him and patting his face.

Serena caught Kay, lowering her to the floor and said “Kay…I got you hold on…” she was shaking badly then looked at Chas as he held John. “Is he okay?”

Chas almost skidded to a halt when he came into the room and saw what was happening between Kay and John. He saw the glow from under her hands as it flowed from her and to John, remembering what it meant and realising what it was Kay was doing. But something wasn't right, Kay should be letting go by now and she wasn't. "Kay...!" he said but nothing got through and before he knew it, Kay mumbled before passing out with Serena grabbing her she did.

He checked John over and checked his pulse. It was strong and steady, a good sign. "he's fine, his bruises are gone, something tells me she somehow healed every single wound he had" he explained before noticing Kay's wrist and was about to say something when the same thing was beginning to glow on John's wrist as well. "what the Hell's?" he questioned. The glow first brighter on both their wrists before a pattern seemed to form and the glow flickered as it dimmed before disappearing completely leaving a bonding sigil of what could resemble to string wrapping round their wrists, with a sigil of a triangle and a flame inside to represent John and a single wing behind it to symbolise Kay.

After a few seconds the sigil disappeared into their skin as if it was never there.

Serena watched the whole thing and said “they have formed a magic bond…I’ve read about them…try and wake him up. If he is healed he can help get us out of here. We can’t stick around now.” She flinched as she picked Kay up and laid her on a nearby cot, most likely used by the doctors for power naps, and stumbled and leaned against the wall, breathing hard.

John groaned, trying to open his eyes but needed some help to wake up. Serena looked down the hallway and muttered “I hope those two are okay…”

Trish was holding onto Josh and said “we have to go back…they could need help. That monster is scary…”

Chas couldn't believe for a moment that John bloody Constantine of all people, someone who would quite literally sleep with anyone, not the settling down type at all had suddenly in his unconsciousness with Kay formed a bond. Maybe things could change for the man after all. He saw John clearly attempting to wake up from his body language and from his breathing, "come on John, we need you to wake up mate, Kay's out cold for healing you" he said, not wanting to use Kay as almost like a trigger object for waking him, but didn't know what else to do.

Josh sighed knowing his kid sister was right. He didn't like just getting his sister back and just bolting. It wasn't fair to the others after they risked their lives to save Trish. "alright.. But if that monster is still down there I'm getting you out of here like I promised" he told her back, pressing the button to go back down to the basement as they were still in the lift. Getting back downstairs, he carried his sister down the hall whilst keeping an eye out for any threat. He found his way back to where the mysterious group were and saw what state they were in. "you guys need a hand?" he asked them.

John groaned and opened his eyes, seeing Chas holding him upright and saw Kay and Serena. He blinked and said “What the bloody…is going on…” he sat up then looked down and he said “bloody girl…she healed too much…” he looked up as Josh walked back in and smiled at the girl.

“She’s alright then? Not hurt at all?” Trish smiled and shook her head. “No, thanks to you guys…thank you.” Serena was leaning against the wall, looking like death as she muttered “we need to get out of here…we can’t let the doctors see how John is now…yesterday he was a mess and now his totally cured…” John frowned and said “what about you? You don’t look…” Serena gave him an icy look that even shut the hellblazer up.

“Josh…if you could…help us get…Kay out of here…that…that…” she lowered her head, the room spinning again.

Chas helped John get back up onto his feet as he cursed about what Kay did for him. "she looked like she tried to break free but couldn't...and there's one other thing we need to discuss but later." he told him as the conversation then continue Don as Josh and Trish reappeared. He couldn't help but smirk when Serena's stare shut even John up knowing that very few people could accomplish such a thing.

Josh put Trish down onto her feet as he was asked to help to get Kay out of the hospital, "sure I'll help in any way I can" he said to her back, walking over and slinging her arm over his shoulder so she could use him as a crutch to get out. "if you think you're gonna faint I'll carry you out. It's the least I can do after you all saved my sister" he told her before turning to Chas and John. "I think I saw a staff exit further down that should take you all out to the ambulance bay. From there you should be able to get out easily enough" he explained.

Kay remained out cold the entire time they were talking.

John nodded and said “give Kay to me. We need to get out of here” he walked over and picked Kay up bridal style and headed out of the room. Serena flinched then looked at Josh and smiled weakly.

“Thank you…” she limped with him as Trish moved and helped Serena’s other side as they headed for the exit. Serena looked weakly at Chas and asked “did…you guys drive the taxi…” she stumbled and fell into josh fully, blushing a little as she did.

John kicked opened the door and looked around. “It’s clear. Where is the taxi Chas?”

Josh helped Serena and smiled as Trish decided she wanted to help as well, feeling like he was bringing her up good enough if that was her action without being told. He was always worried that he was doing a bad job, but then Trish would do little things like this and unknowingly reassure him he wasn't doing an awful job at being a brother and a parent. "yeah we did" Chas replied to Serena as they walked, Chas taking the lead as he didn't have anyone to carry and he could be the look out.

When Serena stumbled into Josh a bit more, he smiled and without prompting skid his other arm under her legs and lifted her up like John was holding Kay. "I got you" he told her softly, seeing her blush ever so slightly which made him smile all the more. She was one hell of a woman that was for sure.

As they got to the exit and opened the door, Chas pointed to the left "to the left top corner of the car park, end space" he explained, leading the way hoping that Kay would wake up soon and didn't do herself too much mental damage by healing John. It took about a minute to get to the cab where he unlocked it and opened the doors for everyone. "if you're coming along, get in" he said.

Serena smiled at him softly and said as he carried her “thank you…I’ve had a few bad days…” Trish smiled, seeing her brothers face and knowing that look. She ran ahead to Chas held his hand as they crossed into the parking lot.

John set Kay in the back and rested a hand on her cheek. “Please be alright love…I’m sorry…” he moved to the end so he could climb in so he could help Serena in once josh got there. Trish didn’t even pause as she got into the front and sat in the middle. “Come On Joshy”

John smirked at the other two then said “let’s go home Chas…”

"It's not a problem, glad I could help, it's the least I could do" Josh replied to her as they crossed the car parking, also smiling at how Trish instantly seemed to take to Chas and held his hand. At the car park, he put in Serena in with John's help and chuckled at how Trish instantly got in the front. He looked at what space was left and knew he'd have to squeeze in in front with Trish. "ALright alright I'm coming" he said, walking to the front passenger seat and getting in, buckling Trish up.

Chas waited for everyone to be squeezed into his cab and wheneveryone was suitably in, he started the engine and started the drive back to the millhouse. "John you might wanna warn Josh and Trish about how much untouchable stuff you got in the millhouse. It's not exactly the most kid friendly home you got" he pointed out during the drive. He knew how curious young kids could be and if Trish and Josh were to come inside the millhouse then they'd need to know not to touch any of the magical artefacts on the shelves. The last thing they needed was to help Josh save Trish, only for Trish to get into trouble with a magical artefact.

During the drive Kay's head had slipped to the side and onto John's shoulder but she still wasn't quite waking up.

John put his arm around her and said “no worries, Trish is a smart girl. She has hood senses” Trish smiled at him and said “I’ll ask before I look at anything. I don’t want another monster to come after us. Last night was bad enough…”

Serena was holding her face, her body aching in pain. She knew one more hit would put her down but she didn’t want the others to know that. She didn’t want to seem weak after all of this.

When they pulled up Trish was looking out the window and said “whoa, it’s huge. Way bigger then the apartment” John opened the door and picked Kay up and got out. He left it open for Serena but she was slow to move to the door, keeping her head low. Trish jumped out and ran for the door, wanting to get it for John. John paused by Josh and said “Ms Shade looks like she could use some help…she is not in great shape. But she will hide it the best she can…”

By the time they reached the millhouse Kay, though out was started to make the odd noise to show she was getting close to waking if given enough time to recover from using so much of her essence to heal John. The fact she was making the odd hum whilst unconscious showed she was healing back up and she would be okay.

Josh couldn't help but worry about what John had in his house if Chas felt it necessary to give out some kind of warning. WHat were they about to walk into? Did he want to know? He wasn't sure if he wanted the answers but part of him knew he probably should find them out in some way anyway. As they pulled up and he saw the sheer delight and amazement at John's house, he had to admit it was pretty big. "You're right about that Trish" he replied to her. Once CHas parked up, he undid Trish's seatbelt before seeing her dash out of the car. "Trish slow down will ya!?" he called out worried about his baby sister, feeling like he needed to be even more protective than he thought previously.

He nodded at John's request to help Serena, "Right, got it" he replied before going to Serena's side and making her use him as a crutch once more, heading to the front door where Trish was. Chas walked up as well after locking the cab up and pulled out his spare keys, unlocking the front door. "Right, be careful Trish okay? When you walk in there'll be a spiral staircase at the end of the walkway" he warned her softly, not wanting the poor kid to survive a monster attack then fall down a metal spiral staircase.

John smirked and laid Kay on the couch and kissed her head. Then he said “Trish? Take a look around but don’t touch anything unless you check okay? Got some odd stuff in here”

Trish popped her head in and said “okay John! Your house is so cool!” She ran up the stairs to look around. John smiled softly, forgetting how much he missed hearing kids around.

Serena leaned on him, her whole body shaking. She was favoring her bad arm and she looked worn out. “Thanks Josh…” she smiled weakly as they walked inside. John looked over and said “Serena? You okay?” Serena smiled and nodded, lying thru her teeth and somehow Josh knew it. Something told him how bad she really was. If they hadn’t had to get out, there was no way a doctor would have cleared her.

If Kay was awake and saw how John was around Trish, there would have been no way she would have pegged him for thr type to allow a mere child run around the house. Chas even found it difficult to believe and he had seen how great John was with Geraldine as her godfather.

Just as Serena had suspected, Josh really didn't believe any of what Serena was saying. He was too used to Trish making the odd little lie when she felt under the weather so he could tell instantly not all was indeed right with her and he did start to feel concerned about her escaping the hospital without being discharged. "Serena where is your room? I'll help you there and you can rest up." he suggested to her, figuring that her bedroom would be the best place to go and he just assumed she had a bedroom in this place, not even thinking that it could have been a possibility she didn't live here.

It took a good few minutes before Kay did actually stir awake with a groan and lifting her hand to her forehead as she sighed. Looking around and refocusing her eyes to realise she was back home. "John?" she asked, trying to focus her eyes in finding him.

John looked at Chas and saw his look. “Whats with the look? She’s a smart kid. She took on a fear eater. I love smart kids, not dumb ones or bullies…” he moved when he heard Kay and moved next to her and took her hand. “Right here love…we made it home. How are you feeling?”

Serena shook her head and said “I’m alright really…you don’t need to worry over me. Just set me in the study so I can figure out why a water was after you and Trish…” she smiled at him, her vision blurring around the edges.

Chas held his hands up defensively but casually and just smiled, "I'm not saying anything" he told his mate before Kay waking rightly took his attention away from himself. Kay smiled when he heard her and took her hand. "I'm okay..just feel groggy. But I'll be okay" she said to him, "I'm sorry if I scared you in any way" she added. "I just wanted to help you and my power just took over me, I couldn't pull away" she explained.

"John, that other thing we need to discuss..when Kay passed out beside you, it formed a bond sigil round both your wrists, it glowed then disappeared under your skin, but...I thought you should both know" Chas hesitantly spoke up, guessing he very well may have just ruined whatever moment it was between them both.

Josh sighed, already getting an idea of what her personality was like but he felt like because he hadnt known her for nearly long enough, he had no right to tell her to go to bed and he won't take no for an answer. "Fine...where's the study?" he asked her in response, keeping a hold on her the whole time, sensing it wouldn't be long before she possibly passed out.

John frowned and looked down at his wrist and muttered “that’s new…i wonder why it formed to me…” he looked back at Kay and said “as long as your feeling better that’s what matters. We will worry about other stuff later”

Serena pointed to the stairs and said “up there…but really I’m alright now…” Trish appeared and frowned. “Ms Shade your not alright. You took on that monster…and I heard you were in a fire yesterday”

John looked over and raised an eyebrow. “Chas…did you say anything to them about that?” He was wondering if the siblings had magic skills of their own.
