BRIEF Bio -

Alex had a pretty basic upbringing in Darkwater. He grew up hearing stories about dogmen and werewolves but never really believed them. His dad was a former Marine turned cop who then got nominated for Sheriff... and won. Meanwhile Alex played baseball and also joined the wrestling team in high school. A couple years later when a few crime scenes turned into more than what could be considered an animal attack, the metro PD made an arrest. When Alex's father showed up to the metro police station to transport the suspect to county lock-up, the building was ambushed by an entire pack of werewolves.

After trying to deal with everything that happened, Alex joined the police academy thinking he'd follow in his father's footsteps. He settled on a less stressful security guard job at the Mountain Mall until months later when his friend brought him experimental anti-gravity metal scraps from Wells Helicopter. Finally, Alex had something that could help him get justice for the fourteen people who were killed in that police station along with his dad. After taking a job as a park grounds keeper to have more freedom with his schedule, and for the free place to live and seclusion, Alex fashioned the scraps with some silver to create a helmet and wrist bracers to fly and steer himself while in the air.

Story Arcs -

Super Naturals: Alex begins recruiting allies for a confrontation with the biggest werewolf pack in Darkwater before a new monster hits the scene. This COULD technically be a Scooby Gang, as Alex has a dog named Slug. (group)

the Lazarus Man: After Bullet rescues a young werewolf from the Lazarus Man in the park, more is revealed about this guy and his reason for being in Darkwater. (team-up)

Deputized: With the merger of the county and metro police departments after the massacre years earlier, Alex's dad's former partner was the new Sheriff. He offers to make Silver Bullet a deputy, then reveals he knows his identity under the helmet. (solo)

Supporting Characters - Slug the Bullet Dog, additional players, unnamed werewolf teen, the new Sheriff Lawrence.

Additional Notes - Unknown to Alex, the metal in his helmet and suit gives off a sort of electro-magnetic field that propels him through the air and mimics enhanced strength and durability.

Ohhh well “Alex Mason” is the main character in the first black ops game and partially the second one. Amazing coincidence 😂

@ChronicleMan I use the name for a lot of my characters because of it's connection to the old JLU cartoon. When WB couldn't get the rights issues with golden age characters figured out, rather than use the Justice Society in an episode they created the Justice Guild. Their Green Lantern was called Green Guardsman and his secret ID was Alexander Mason.

*Correction - He was named Scott Mason. IDK where I got the Alexander part. Mandella Effect I s'pose...

Seraphina Stoneveil

Character Name - Seraphina Stoneveil
Alias - Sera
Archetype - Cryptid (I think?) - Gorgon
Age - 27
Day/Night Job - Archivist
Powers - Stone Sight - while it's not permanent, it's still undoubtedly uncomfortable for the victim. She can control it, but typically wears sunglasses just in case. Veil - she has a veiling spell on her that allows her to take a more human appearance to other humans until they have had other contact/experience with the supernatural or she drops it around them.
Skills - Negotiation, unexpected strength, disguise/veiling herself, locator of information - she can find what you're looking for, either in her archive or elsewhere, for a price.
Weaknesses - Fire in particular, tends to avoid bright light too if she can help it, but does like things kept warm. Beheading if you want to get extreme. Freezing cold shuts her down too.
Personality - Calm, confident, unnerving, trustworthy, protective.
Appearance - Seraphina's 'hair' is made up of several snakes that are mostly gold, with a few bronze ones, reaching to her mid-back when they are relaxed. Her eyes are a pale, milky-blue colour with no discernible pupil. She stands at 5'11'', making her considerably taller than what would be considered average for adult women, and she has a lithe, yet athletic build. She holds herself with a semi-formal posture, not being too rigid, but certainly not relaxed either. She has medium-dark skin tone, with gold scales in patches on her face, neck, arms, torso and legs. She has a heart face shape, with high cheekbones. She also has fangs.
In her 'human disguise', her hair looks like dark brown braids, and her eyes dark brown with a pupil. She also does not have scales or fangs.
Seraphina can typically be found wearing a long, flowy maxi dresses that have a halter top, with pale gold chiffon overlays. She also wears a gold, snake-like arm cuff that wraps up her left arm and gold sandal-like shoes that also wrap halfway up her calf. She always wears elegant sunglasses, to help prevent her accidentally using her stone sight on someone.

BRIEF Bio - Grew up in Darkwater, careful to remain hidden from humans by learning the veiling/disguising spell so that she would look like a normal human around them. She took a great interest in her parents' private library, which was filled with books about a variety of creatures and supernatural beings - including some ancient ones and ones that are thought to be extinct. She would often be caught sneaking into it, picking one of the books at random and spending time just reading them. Her parents, being a couple of hundred years old and were travellers in their youth (although they are still considered fairly young by gorgon standards), amassed quite the vast collection.

Seraphina inherited the library from her parents when they chose to leave Darkwater to travel to Greece some years ago. She turned it into the Stoneveil Archives. A sort of underground if you know, you know kind of thing. While it's not for public browsing, Seraphina typically helps others find information that they're looking for in her archive, but it always comes with a price. Sometimes it's a new book that she doesn't have, sometimes it's a three-tailed mouse for her snakes, or something else entirely.

Story Arcs -
Information Location - her main purpose, most likely repeating. Seraphina is visited and asked to help find some information on someone or something, and she accepts the request, and names her price. Over time, she'll warm up to frequent customers and even do them favours. We can discuss a pre-established relationship of this kind too. (Group)
Threatened Archive - after refusing to help a villain that is seeking something dangerous/forbidden, her and her archive is threatened. She, reluctantly, seeks help or guidance to help protect both her integrity and her archive. Probably something that's later on in the roleplay. (Team Up or Group)
Third Story Arc (WIP)

Supporting Characters - Customers of all varieties (other cryptids/supernatural beings, hunters, etc.), a currently undetermined villain, a group (Scooby Gang?) or someone she'll approach for help, additional other players.

Powers - The ability to commune with,guide and even control spirits, as a Shaman. As a werewolf, he has superhuman speed, strength, reflexes and regeneration.

Skills - Chasse is a handyman with much experience in woodwork and toolwork.

BRIEF Bio - Chasse was born a werewolf. His mother was a Cherokee werewolf. His father was a Siberian shaman. His mother's tribe also included a shaman who taught him alongside his father. Even as a child, he had an unnaturally strong connection with spirits. He didn't even need any of the usual Shaman tools such as smoke or brews to be able to enter a trance and communicate with spirits. But being so many different things meant he never truly belonged anywhere. Werewolves were inherently distrustful of any magic wielder. Shamans were equally distrustful of monsters. So he grew up to be a wonderer, finding a living wherever he went and never staying in one place longer than his welcome lasted. When he felt brave, he would offer his services as a Shaman, sometimes even acting as a Medium. This would quickly make hima target, however, and he promptly moved on.

Okay so far we have a bullet man, a young female witch, a medusa type, and an older werewolf shaman. And my guy's pet dog, Slug. LOL

Had an idea of bringing in a vampire who's been living in a mansion at the edge of town for centuries. Drives an old van painted up to look like the Mystery Machine. Old school doctor, back when you learned medicine by apprenticeship.

He was banished centuries ago, long before the first colonies.

@Expendable I figured the majority of the vampires would be antagonists if they're older. There's so much other stuff you could do though if you wanted to be 'guy in the van' cause it's usually followed with 'down by the river/lake/ocean'. A creature from the Black Lagoon type guy would be dope, could be a Bruce Banner/Hulk type of transformation thing maybe. Or maybe a banshee that happens to also be a podcaster with a following of thirty-two hundred stationed in a van. Possibly a skinwalker that wandered up to an abandoned van in the woods and made it his temporary shelter.

I also don't think anyone really has ties to the Gothic Museum, the Mountaineer Newspaper, or any of the major industrial complexes in Darkwater.
