Well, we never had to state our character's morality - so there's that.

My character is neutral either way, otherwise you're gonna have a crappy time being either Lawful Good or Chaotic Evil...because, well...it can cause animosity among the group through certain decisions - perhaps even leading to violent confrontation and a Player Character's untimely death.

Anyway, fuck this Mage and her guard, haha.

I say we take the fight to the Goblins - Queen Lysithe will reward us - and if that Mage threatens us again, just let it be known that she won't be around long enough to rally her troops against the Goblin raiders.

Also, I'm sort of talking quite in character here because the whole round robin kind of posting sort of sucks, because well my opinion always comes in last before something new happens, and that's lame..haha

Aye, it'll be the first chance we've actually got to actually talk with each other as well, and sort of build a sense of camaraderie or something.

It'd be nice to get a feel for the groups synergy - to see how we'd fight in combat together.

There are undead in the forest, they have an aura of dread around them, if you start feeling existential terror, then you are probably close to one of the many dangers in the forest.

How far are the billows of red smoke from the forest's edge? Is there any kind of trail of scouts/forward screens we could use to track them back to their camp more safely?

also i'm questioning why I chose -1 WIS when that's what I'm tracking with

Q1: What precautions can be taken against attack by undead in the forest?
Q2: Could the goblins be using the terrain and/or its inhabitants to their advantage somehow?

Bless your items / armor, it'll hurt the undead more, and make them wary, (though it might also draw their attention, and make them try to attack in bigger numbers.)

The goblins have an inherent advantage of living their for so long, they already know the dangers and how to avoid them.

About 5 or 6 miles

Very possible, fire goblins will occasionally leave scorch marks.
