Dendus (Gehenna)
"Too-tuu-too-woop..."

The secretly-female Limbus walked in to Athalia's gates a day late. She did not mind though, she did not care about schedules and such. She was off drinking and talking with old men last night, and that explains it. The school looked quite fancy, and probably its students, or that was at least she thought. Indeed, this was the school of the highest of the high, with only very little getting in. It's a wonder how they even got so many! Then she stepped beyond the iron bars, and all these thoughts were gone with the wind. The first thing that came to her senses was not how did many of the students disappeared all of a sudden, or that nearly all people here has an affinity for magic, but..

What's this i smell?

The scent of manna... and lily blossoms. This is the scent of an angel I see...

Wait a second...

By God this stench of sulfur and ash. This is a demonic presence. Either there's a battle possibly occurring here without the knowledge of these students, or...

OR...

Someone is messing with the natural order. In this case then... Well i'd like to know more about this place first.

Instead of running straight to where he (from now on until revelation of true gender, pronoun will be "he") sensed the strange presence, he threw away what he was smoking, gave off a smug breath, then walked towards the garden while still humming and speaking out the same tune he was making sounds off earlier. The building's architecture reminded him quite of all the 30's European architecture he saw that nearly went to ruin in what they call the Second World War. There was a first, but it doesn't sound interesting much. Speaking of the 30's, he was technically 90 years old on Earth as he had thought, but in the terms of the Limbus he was... seventeen? Or was it eighteen?

Doesn't matter too much to him.

Carmen - student center with three other blokes (reverse harem vol. II?)

Carmen was, understandably, continually flattered. She still suspected the painting had something to do with his ability, but he did as well and asked her about her trumpet. “Well, to put it simply, my ability lets me do that. Nobody else would be able to make a sound out of it.” Just then, the painter took the painting and handed it to her. “As thanks for the inspiration and amazing performance." Carmen’s eyebrows shot up as she took at and looked at it. “For me? Surely not!”

She was about to try to hand it back but a dark-haired boy entered the room and she turned to face him. The boy clearly had a purpose, as he immediately asked a question: "Did any of you see a girl about this tall with white hair and a heavenly aurora last night?” Carmen’s face developed a quizzical expression. “At the party?” she returned. “I’m not sure. The only specific people in the crowd I picked out were the demon and the dragon. They kind of became the center of attention rather quickly…you understand.” The painter gave his input and the boy responded to him. Clearly he had some emotional attachment to this angelic-sounding girl he was asking about. "Okay, so pretty much, last time I saw her the way she's supposed to be was last night, healing some boy who was thrown through a table. Some time between then and this morning, something happened that made her much younger, and also lose her memories. I'm trying to figure out when, and where, it happened." Carmen’s face reflected her going further into thought, her head cocking to one side and her eyes narrowing. “I’m sorry, I would remember that if I had noticed it but was too focused on the dragon and the demon. The dragon was the one who threw someone through a table, I think. Amnesia…? Not exactly something a nurse can fix…that’s really unfortunate.”

Just as she finished talking, another boy showed up, who from his exclamation upon entering seemed to have also been at the party, but Carmen didn’t recognize him from the party. She did, however, think she recognized him from earlier that day at the auditorium when they were talking/arguing with the dragon boy. Hmm…was he the one who the dragon smashed through the table? she thought, her face still very pensive.

Anedine and Isse
"Anedine, you make good stuff. Do you have some instruction on how to do this?" Isse still continued to chow down on the round, meaty sandwich in his hands. He was getting a bit messy, but always reminded himself to pick up the napkin and wipe his face. He can cook, sure, but mainly prepared food. Rarely does he make his own, and when he does, ends up getting burnt to charcoal.

"Adding some pepper to the ground beef and a bit of milk for the eggs helps. Just a teaspoon of each, and everything's spiced up right. Remember the fundamental rule of cuisine: Not too much, not very little. And remember the 3:1 ratio i use for the ingredient and spices, respectively."

Not too much, not very little, eh? Isse pondered. Could be also for general living. Isse looked at Anedine again. "I wonder if all the burgers you cooked taste the same. Let me taste yours."

Anedine took off a bit of her sandwich and fed him with it. "Not really much. Have some of mine." Isse did the same thing, took off a bit of his burger and dropped it into Anedine's mouth. "Yours are a bit more juicy yet also slightly saltier. Not a noticeable difference, though."

Darwin was still making his weird and wonderful way through the school. Skipping through the corridors after putting his iPod down was sure to attract some attention. But still nobody had noticed the purple haired guy munching on skittles. He poured the whole packet into his mouth, trying to regain some energy, and went back to dancing through the corridors.

By the time he was at the gardens, he was practically doing a solo waltz while he kept on throwing rainbow bolts around. He noticed a girl over in the gardens and stopped his crazy waltz. He smirked and began running towards her. "Hey!" He said just wanting to make friends.

Lily - Bookstore

"Hell's Breath!" She heard him shout. A small smile grew on her lips at his excitement. She was glad she'd been of some use. She hated being useless. which reminded her, she should get some sort of weapon to use... A wooden sword?

"Look at how many books, Lily... That might be my definition of paradise. If you ever recover your memory, would you tell me how your paradise is like? As in... Heaven?" She jumped when his hands came upon her shoulders and he whispered in her ear. She swallowed, turning with a curious look in her eyes.

What do my lost memories have to do with Heaven?

"I remember Heaven perfectly. After all, I just came from there." She explained, turning to him slightly. "And yes, Heaven is my paradise." She continued, smiling brightly up at him. Again, her bright blue eyes seemed to be swirling with excitement.

"Heaven is... beautiful and... lo-... lovely." She told him, an awkward smile on her face. She'd almost said lonely but she didn't want him to worry about her. He had enough to worry about she was sure.

"There's a large castle in the center of it all where the Arch-Angels live. I live there because my dad is Michael, the Arch-Angel." She explained, turning to look at the books. "It's so calm there, as if nothing bad could ever happen. The grass is so green, the skies so gloriously blue. Yet..." She continued, trailing off. She smiled brightly again at Bael, looking up at him warmly. "Sometimes, I believe the Earth is even more beautiful. It's filled with so much life, so much freedom. I envy the humans sometimes." She admitted and then turned back to the books once again.

She was certainly less lonely here...

the men didn't seem to notice her, but someone else did.
she turned and saw someone approaching her
she hurried towards the person so as to keep the conversation from interrupting the others
"he..hello" she stuttered to the guy,
'that's a little weird, i was talking fine with Jeanne earlier' she thought
'maybe it's because he's a boy'
she suppressed a blush.

"Sometimes, I believe the Earth is even more beautiful. It's filled with so much life, so much freedom. I envy the humans sometimes."

Bael had been listening without saying a single word, his expression remaining rather blank, his blue eyes slightly widen as he stared down at her. This was how she saw Heaven then... As good as it was, she still found Earth better. Why, exactly? From what she said, Heaven was... a calm place, free of any violence or evil things. The lack of freedom was the only reason she found Earth more beautiful... and the reason of why she could envy the humans? This made him think about hell... It was obscure, you couldn't trust a single soul in there... You could hear constant terror and screams of souls being tortured. Until now, the demon had been used to this, but to think that a place like Heaven existed was to question the real motive of why one would remain in Hell? Well... To be honest, everyone questioned things sometimes. Even angels didn't find Heaven quite enough for them.

"Freedom, isn't it so? I guess I can agree that Earth is full of it." The boy took a step forward, being dangerously close to the angel right now. His expression was serious and he had a strangely determined look on his eyes. "It's also filled with unique and thrilling opportunities..." If Lily did not move, she'd feel slightly pressed by Bael now, even. Slowly, he moved even further forward, his arm being extended as well... In front of Lily. It reached for one book and as soon as he took hold of it, he moved back and took a few steps away from Lily, looking at her with a smile.

"This one seems interesting."

Dendus
He took a glance around the garden. As expected, there's the usual shrubs and trees placed within, there's roses, dandelions, oaks, and the like. There were then the dining tables placed there, with one occupied by what seemed--emphasis on seemed-- to be a couple (Anedine and Isse) with contrasting hair colors, a small pond in the middle reflecting the blue skies and the nearby buildings, and of course, grass. Emerald-green grass.

Fancy.

Something on his coat's pocket then rang, a black, vintage-looking touchscreen cellphone. The ringtone was peculiar: a cheery old 40's song that seemed to play often in bars during that time, which transitioned to electronic music, something that seemed to have the feel of the past, present and future. He answered, upon which the voice of a man in his 40's spoke, although sounded mumbled from those outside. It seemed to be a talk on some sport or something.

"...Well dang." Dendus grunted. "Stuff like that really grinds my gears.... Mmhm.... Just past by one point!? This sucks."

As the call ended, he spread both of his wings far and wide, sniffing more and more. Athalia's good and all. Might need to check out what's happening over there though. She continued to try and find where the sense came from as she went through the hallways, but due to how big Athalia was, she eventually gave up... and ended up in the bookstore, trying to find a theological book.

Lily - Bookstore

"Freedom, isn't it so? I guess I can agree that Earth is full of it." He replied, making her question herself. Maybe that wasn't all there was too it but the people here were much... kinder. Angels could be just as cruel as demons if not more so when they set their mind to it. Everyone always saw them as innocent and pure but Lily... She'd seen some of the uglier side. The cruel games they played, the harsh words they spoke. She never knew why...

I'm just an over glorified glow stick...

She snorted at herself, sighing deeply. She blinked when Bael took a step closer to her.

"It's also filled with unique and thrilling opportunities..." He told her. She blinked, confused. Suddenly, a smile lit up her face. "Of course! You're right! Earth has so many new things to experience. Like.... pizza! I've heard about it and I've always wanted to try it. It sounds amazing!" She told him, smiling down at the books. Her eyes grew wide as she felt Bael's body against hers, pushing her against the bookcase. She blinked and looked up at him, his arm extended toward a book.

"This one seems interesting." He told her after backing away, a smile on his face.

"Really?" She asked, raising a brow. Her eyes lit up and she bounced over to him happily. "Let me see!" She called out, leaning over to look at the book, getting very close to Bael in the process.

Bael

The boy briefly eyed the book he held in his hands, keeping a smile. "Pizza... There are many things we can- and should try, Lily." He opened the book, eyeing it over. It was apparently a book about a fictional story of forbidden romance, or something of the sort. His eyes were focused on the book as he spoke. "And places we jhave to go. Do you think we will ever have the opportunity to actually travel somewhere?" When Bael said he, he was actually refering to himself, as he had no idea of the angel also had the desire to travel this world and meet every kind of place there was, but he didn't made the effort of explaining it to her.

His eyes only moved up from the book when he noticed that she was leaning over the book in an attempt to see it. Bael moved the book down a bit, so she could see it... even if she probably wouldn't manage to read a thing since it was facing Bael.

"Lily." The boy spoke softly, his tone... a bit disappointed. "I was completely wrong, I think this book is terrible. I'm sorry."

A wide grin spread over his really happy face. Darwin had got someone to talk to him without receiving a curse! His eyes lit up and he did a little hop that hopefully she didn't notice. "Hi!" He replied trying to calm down by breathing slowly but ended up sounding like a bird using a mating call. "I'm Dawrin! But some people call my Dorkwin...not sure why...But nice to meet you!" HE had noticed she was a bit nervous but Darwin thought maybe if he kept talking she'd get less nervous. After he realised he might be scaring her he took off. "Catch you later!" He called back

He eventually made his way to the bookstore, he had remembered his dad had told him about a very cheerful book full with fun and adventure.. If only he could remember the name if it. He twirled into the bookstore continuing his little waltz and saw two other people conversing. "Hey!" He said to them as he remembered the books name. "Do they have A Clockwork Orange here?"

Lily - Bookstore

"Pizza... There are many things we can- and should try, Lily." He told her, looking at the book. She grinned widely.

"Of course! I want to try all I can!" She exclaimed, smiling up at him, her face facing his own.

"And places we have to go. Do you think we will ever have the opportunity to actually travel somewhere?" He asked, still looking at the book.

"I certainly hope so. There are so many places I haven't seen. The earth is full of so many interesting things, far more than Heaven. I'd love to be able to see it all." She told him and then looked back down at the book. She grinned when he lowered the book slightly for her. She scanned over some of the words...

"He took her hand in his, kissing it gently."

Huh?

"He smiled and whispered, 'I love you.'"

Love?

She blinked looking down at the book.

"Lily." She heard him say softly, his voice low. "I was completely wrong, I think this book is terrible. I'm sorry." He continued, sounding a bit disappointed.

"No, no, of course not!" She exclaimed, shaking her head. She pulled the book from his hands. "I... I want to read it! It seems so... interesting and new." She told him, pulling it to her chest.

She jumped when she heard an unfamiliar voice and turned to see another boy asking about a book. "I... I don't know..." She replied, a bit taken a back by his sudden-ness.

Wait... A friend!

Then, a wide grin grew on her face. "Hi! I'm Lily!" She shouted, jumping up and flying over closer to him. "What's your name?" She asked, face to face with him now.

Dendus
After seconds' worth of searching, Dendus has found a thick, gold-colored leather covered book within the shelves, with a stylized encircled cross inscribed upon it. Titled "The Realms of Abrahamic Religions, this could be what he may have been looking for. He grabbed it with her two hands, walked over to a table that was nearest to where there was people, a peculiar pair, and sat. He flipped over to the table of contents, where he began to take a glance:

Hmm... Alright, to start off. Let's see the chapters. Introduction to the Catholic Church, introduction to the Catholic Afterlife destinations, Heaven, Hell of the Damned, Purgatory, Paradise... Aha! Limbo! His eyes gazed down below that text. Introduction to Limbo, Limbo of the Fathers, Limbo of the Infants. Where should I start first? Well obviously, the introduction.

He turned the pages to the indicated page number, then began scrolling her finger along the text.

In Catholic theology, Limbo is an idea regarding those who die in Original Sin yet were in the friendship of God. This includes, but is not limited to, priests and prophets before Christ's crucifixion and unbaptized infants in stillbirth or death that are too young to have committed any sin yet has not been freed from ancestral sin. Due to heavy speculation about their state of being in the afterlife, theologians have proposed another place of where such people wander astray, neither in happiness nor suffering. Limbo is not considered part of the official Catholic doctrine, but this has been an important field of study for religious scholars.

He continued on, but stopped midway as he began to notice something.

The smell's stronger.

He spread his black and white wings slightly in surprise on the smell.

Bael

Bael was glad to hear that she had interest in seeing everything Earth had to offer. He'd feel stupid if he was the only one.

"No, no, of course not!" Lily exclaimed as she pulled the book from his hands. "I... I want to read it! It seems so... interesting and new." She told him, pulling it to her chest.

Was she capable of understanding that book, anyway? The demon shrugged his shoulders. He found it quite stupid... Love, hah, as if something like that even existed to begin with. Especially between two individuals who weren't supposed to be together, anyway. The boy took a step in direction of the bookshelf, his hand moving towards a book... Pausing when a different voice was heard. His eyes followed Lily, watching as she moved towards the newcomer. With a grunt, Bael just continued on his task to analyze yet another book. Sadly, he wasn't as sociable as Lily, so he decided to just ignore whoever that was.

The book he had in hands now was... A Clockwork Orange. He shot a glance at the boy with the corner of his eyes. Hmm, interesting.

Darwin wasn't actually expecting them to have it. His dad had said it was pretty rare in most bookstores, and hardly any of them would give it to a purple haired boy like Darwin. But now it had gotten even better! He had found somebody to talk to! He never had anyone but his father to talk to before, now he had someone willing to talk to him! Darwin didn't even know where to start so...

"Hey there Lilly!" He said his huge grin getting even bigger. "Nice to meet you! I'm Darwin, but some people used to call me Dorkwin, so you can call me that too if you want. Wait actually don't I just remember what dork means, just call me Darwin, yeah, Darwin will do." He took a breath to see if she had gone. He also noticed a boy lurking in the shadows nod wondered if that was Lily's boyfriend. He looked like a demon but Darwin didn't care.

She chuckled at the boy, giggling at his antics. "It's nice to meet you, Darwin!" She exclaimed, smiling brightly at him. She glanced over at Bael and grinned at him, motioniing for him to come over. She looked at the book in his hand, trying to red the cover.

A...Clo..ck.. A Clockwork Orange?

Her eyes lit up and she turned to the boy. "They have it! Bael just found it." She shouted, running over to Bael. She smiled up at him. "I'm glad they have it." She spoke, a small smile on her face.

I need to get clothes soon... It won't be long before the store closes I think...

With the book in hand, she ran past Darwin. "I'll just be a minute. I need to get some clothes before we leave. You're welcome to come help me pick out something." She told them, running towards another section of the store that had female clothes.

Dendus
His eyes scrolled over to the purple-haired boy, then to the couple, before finally landing his eyes back to the book. Scrolling another page, he read:

Limbo is often described and visualized in both religious documents and popular media as a dark, dead-looking place often shrouded in grey mist. Some describe it as a desolate, abandoned city, others a forest of dead trees. Some see it as a massive dark cavern with nothing but literal red eyes scattered over all the place, watching all the lost souls travel through the empty place. Another description is that of nothing but pure wilderness, with souls finding a way to establish and advance their civilization, much like being stranded in a deserted island. The Church is unsure of its appearance, but one thing is for sure: Limbo is a way to torment in a mild and painless way by instilling fear rather than suffering.

Dendus flipped over to the next page, licking his lips a bit.

The length of time a soul spends in Limbo is unclear; some claim that the state of Limbo is eternal, other say that souls in such a state will be freed as the Day of Judgement comes. More say that the Limbo of the Fathers has already been disappeared and its souls raised to Heaven after Christ's crucifixion. Limbo also may be a temporary, one-year state that occurs before a soul has been moved to Heaven, where babies are grown further to at least fit within Paradise. It has been theorized that there are also supernatural beings that govern over Limbo like angels and demons, for the purpose of observing the state of souls within the realm, but their state at Judgement is unclear; whether they fade out from existence, become an angel, fall into eternal suffering in Hell, or become part of "New Jerusalem" is still to be confirmed.

He looked again at the three, then decided to do something: extend one of his Shadow Tendrils and tap the shoulders of the two in range as he tries to lose each other's attention.

Darwin grinned at Lily. Finally he had found some as hyperactive and as eager as himself. He grinned even more when Bael found his book. “Thanks Bael!” He exclaimed picking up the book. “Ooooh I’ll help Lily. My father always said Im good with fashion.”

"Its a carving knife. This book is filled with charms that can be embeaded on items. I.was going to carve some of them onto my staff. Now will you please let go off my wrists?" He asked politely. He was not going to reply aggressively as the girl was only scared for her self. He dropped the knife. Crouching with his hand still in her grasp he caught it in his other hand. He placed the knfe on the table along with the book. Doing this is almost complete silence to others. "Why would I try and attack two people I don't know. I only attack. Those who attack me first. Or annoy me." Then he muttered something that was not of the English tounge. But of the Welsh. "Gods, let me become spirit like you for a moment." His hamd went traight through the hand and Had a ghostly appearence. Then it turned back to solid.

Zivon

He walked closer to Chris. "I was actually hoping you'd follow, Zivy." He smiled, Zivon smiled back, then they both walked together. ‘Still have a few more hours until dinner, maybe I should make dessert too…so many possibilities…’ He thought about the meal that he would cook for his friends. He was brought back to his thought as he Chris said something. "So uh, Zivy... Sorry if this is a rude question but... Why are you in here? I mean, you're special too, right?" He looked at Chris for a while. Processing what he had said. ‘He wants to know my…ability…’ he looked down the floor, he really didn't want to talk about it nor even mention it. It was awkward enough with Drow and he threw up at the end.

“…y-eah…spec-ial...” He muttered out is a sad tone. He shook his head and just sigh. “ I j-ust don’t wan-t to r-eally talk a-bout i-t…” He looked at his hands at just gave another sigh.

Seven

He heard the conversation of the others as he finally dressed up. The girl explained very well how what happen that night he grinned. He then yawned contently as he jumped on air, at least a meter high from everyone he lay down and decided to sleep until they were all done talking. If so then he could hang out with Sir painter or Trumpet girl Which ever interested him even more.
