Walking through the port town of Kingsley, Archibald "Archie" Lowry walked along with his friends on the docks. None of them had any idea of what to do, and all of them were bored. it was a slow day for the port town, and with only a few ships being at the docks, business for everyone was slow. The tall and somewhat skinny young adult walked in front of most of his friends as they moved along. He wasn't considered the leader of the group of friends, but just liked being up where he could see everything, rather than being stuck behind everyone. Stopping in his tracks, he turned around to look at his friends and saw the majority of them looking back at him. With a lazy look, he suggested something that had just come from his mind. "We should be pirates." He said on a whim. Unsure of what else to really do.

Molly Combs was only really an acquaintance of Archibald, in fact, she didn't speak much to or of the man. However, when he turned to his pack of friends, saying they should be pirates, she couldn't help but join in. She was walking about their port town knowing well that there wasn't much she could do, not with her skills. She could become a serving wench or a barmaid or take up less modest work, she had the body for that... She hopped off the upper walk she was on and onto a barrel on the walk the boys were taking. She looked down them and grinned, "Pirates?"

She hopped off of it and landed softly, "I think you'd all be a right horrid bunch of pirates," She looked to Archibald, "Of course, a woman can always polish up this rag tag bunch into a proper crew," She grinned at Archie, hoping he was getting what she was getting at.

The group began to discuss the possibility of becoming pirates for a shor moment before Molly joined in on the conversation. From what she had said, she apparently overheard the suggestion and decided to put her own two cents in. While most of them said something along the lines of "Women can't be pirates.", Archibald shrugged at her and nodded his head. If she wanted to be a pirate as well, that was perfectly fine with him. He had heard that out on the seas, there were a few female pirates out there who were just as fearsome as the male ones. "Sure, you can be pirates with us. I don't see why not."

many of them sighed at Archie as he told her that she could be pirates with them, and although they wanted to leave, they didn't. Arhie usually had a good sense of things, so when he came to a decision for things, it was usually respected, and things turned out fine.

Molly looked at the boys when they informed her that women couldn't be pirates, "Don't let Anne Bonny hear you say that, she'll severe your heads from your shoulders."

She looked to Archie when he agreed to allow her to become a pirate along with the rest of them. She smiled smugly at the men who complained and were now looking at her in defeat. She then looked back to Archie and nodded, "Thank you, Archibald... Now," She started slowly. She glanced at the boats at were in the harbour, "Do you happen to have a ship or are we going to be landlubber pirates?"

Looking at the harbor, Archie made a few notes one the few ships that were out there. Most of them were personal ships, for people who enjoyed being out in the sea and returning back to land after a little while. Not many merchants made their way out to the isle because it was so far off, and because of that, not many pirates showed up at Kingsley either. There were one or two merchant's ships on the docks, but that was about it. Thinking out loud, Archie voice his analysis. "The merchant ships seem to be bigger, but they'll have more guards and people to look over the goods. The personal ships'll have little to no people aboard, but are pretty much vacant unless someone happens to be planning a trip soon. It'll be easier to take one of the smaller ones, but if we can get away with a merchant ship, then we'll have food, supplies, and maybe even weapons if we're lucky."

Archibald had a dead eye, and hardly ever missed a detail when it came to studying things. Turning to Molly, the young man gave her a curious look. "Well. what do you think?"

Molly put her hands on her hips as Archibald turned to her and asked her what she thought. She glanced at the others, smiling, they didn't like that he was asking her opinion, "Well... If we're going to be pirates, we need to go after the big prize. We're hopeless if we can't manage to steal a merchant ship."

Well that, and the thought of stealing a ship of someone from the isle, someone they knew, just didn't sit well with her. She pursed her lips, "But we can wait... Once they've brought some of their goods to the market. Then we attack, they'll be only a couple men on board, guarding the ship. The rest will be with the merchant delivering them," She leaned back against the barrel she was standing on earlier, "If you boys take the guards.... I'll make sure we won't get caught."

Although they weren't happy with what Archie and Molly had come up with, they had to admit that it was a decent plan. Archibald glanced at one of the two merchants ships and looked back at Mollie, having something else to say about the plan. "Unless any of you are carrying daggers in your pockets, always aim for the neck when attacking the men on the ship. You could make them pass out or kill them just by how much strength you put into your hits, and that way we can get away with a pretty quiet ship. Don't want anyone alerting the merchant and bringing everyone back to the ship, do we?" He asked them, resulting in having them all shake their heads. Making a ruckus wasn't the way to go, as they didn't have any weapons to speak of, and only their bare hands. If they were caught stealing a ship, the whole isle would be against them.

Molly nodded to Archibald, although, she didn't have much plans on getting into this fight. She would be far weaker than any of the men guarding that ship and she didn't feel like getting her ass handed to her. She looked them all over, "Bring up the plank when you are all on. And don't worry about me, I'll get on my own way."

She looked to the ships and pointed at one, "I fancy that ones colour. We'll grab that one," With that she walked away from them and down to the docks. While the men made their way onto the ship, she was busy distracting the guard on the dock. She smiled at him, twirling her dark hair around a finger. Without him noticing, she managed to undo the tie fastening the front of the boat to the dock. She laughed and slapped his chest when he suggested they go for a swim. She walked down the dock, maybe swinging her hips more than usual and bent over, untying the back of the boat, while giving the man a good look at her butt. He was a bit too distracted by her rear and was completely taken off guard, when she turned around, holding the rope. She grinned at him, "Adios."

She clutched the rope and swung to the boat. She did her best to stop herself with her feet before grabbing the ladder. She climbed up to the deck and swung her feet over, "We better get a move on."

The group nodded to Molly and began to move, spreading out to get onto the ship without being noticed too much while coming on board. Most of them had fully climbed aboard when Molly had climbed to the deck, and Archibald was one of the first to climb aboard. As he instructed, many of the men that were still on board were taken out by strikes to the throat, and being tossed overboard into the waters. The should be fine, as the docks were right next to them.

After the men were dealt with, Archibald's group quickly went over to the sails and pulled them down, ready for the wind to catch them and pull them away from the island. This was the part that none of them were ready for, as none of them knew how to steer a ship.

Molly hopped off the rail as the men started to pull down sails. Her father was a fisherman when he was alive, so she knew the ropes of a ship, very loosely. Of course, this was a much larger ship and that had been a long time ago. She ran up the steps to the wheel and looked at it. If there was ever a time to remember everything her father had her do on those boring ships, now would be that time. She grabbed the wheel and started to turn it, the ship following. She yelled to the men below what to do, as best as she could, knowing they probably didn't know what it was they were doing. She looked at Archie, "Take the wheel... I'm going to help out... just... don't hit anything."

She smiled at him and hopped onto the railing, sliding down it. At the bottom, she jumped off and started to help the men with the sails.

"I'll try not to." Archibald said to Molly as he stepped up and took the wheel. He watched over everyone as they worked the sails, many of them having little to no clue about what to do. Although most didn't voice it, they were thankful that Molly had a better idea of what to do than they did, and soon enough, the began to move a bit faster. He wasn't going to allow the ship to hit anything, but there really wasn't much out there to hit at the moment, so he was fine. Looking down at the men, he called out to them as he had no idea where he was going. "Hey! One of you look around the captain's quarters or below decks and find us a map. The ship still has most of the supplies on it, but we'll only last so long with what we have."

Molly looked over them as the men tried to decide who would go. She pulled on one of the ropes and sighed, "For god's sake, don't all run at once!"

She pointed to one of the men, "You go. The rest of you, get back to work."

She smirked as the men who didn't even think she could be a pirate, jumped and did as she said. She turned to Archibald and grinned. She saluted to him before she started to climb the mast. She climbed to the cockpit and grinned. Moly had a thing for high places, she absolutely adored them. She leant against the rail that prevent her from fall far below to her death and felt the wind on her face. After a moment, she turned around to watch the isle disappear behind them. She looked down at Archie, "No one is following us!... Yet!"

"Kingsley is a bit out of the way for most trade routes, so it might take them a bit before word gets out about a stolen ship. I'm not exactly sure how long we have until then, but since we have one of the two ships that regularly come across our isle, it should take a bit longer." he told her as he looked up, thinking as he spoke. they had a few days at the least before word got out to the mainland about a stolen ship, and even then, he didn't think that it would cause that much of a ruckus. It was just one merchant ship. It wasn't like they stole a navy ship or anything, so the news wouldn't be the talk of the town.

He actually quite enjoyed steering the ship, even if he had only been doing it for a few minutes. he liked being able to oversee everyone in his crew, as well as steering them to whatever adventures might lie ahead. He never really saw himself as the leader type, but he enjoyed having a role somewhat like it despite that.

Molly was climbed back down as Archibald called, explaining that they had time before anyone knew. She grinned as she hopped down mast and onto the desk. She looked at the others as they ran about the deck. Seeing that they were seeming to do well with their new tasks, she walked back up the steps to the wheel. She leaned against the railing and looked at Archie. She smiled, he looked like he could be a captain. He had that air to him. She hopped onto the railing and turned around, letting her feet hang off the other side. She looked over the others and laughed a little, "They are a horrible bunch of pirates," She looked over her shoulder at him, "You picked the ragtaggiest team out there."

She placed her hands on either side of herself and continued to watch them, "Do any of them know how to fight?" She looked back at him again, "I want to learn... If we are going to be pirates."

Archibald mulled over the thought for a moment as he looked at the crew. None of them really knew how to fight, and Molly was right when she told him that he had picked the ragtaggiest crew out there. Some of them knew how to fight, but not well, as the most fighting they would ever do was the occasional bored spar because there was nothing else to do at the time. He wasn't really sure of what Molly was capable of, so he didn't think about her when he thought of the crew. "I know a few things about fighting." He told her, knowing that even with his lack of skills in fighting, he was the best out of the crew. "Nothing with blades or guns, just bare hands. My dad is the doctor back on the isle, so I learned some things from him when it came to weaker parts of the body, better places to hit."

Molly spun around on the railing to face him as he said that he would be capable of teaching her to fight, although not with a weapon. She nodded, "Thank you, Archibald."

She hopped off the railing and placed her hands on her hips, "We should try and find someone who can properly fight though... see if we can get them to join... We may have managed to fight our way onto the ship... but we are screwed if someone pulls a sword on us."

She smiled and started to walk down the steps, "I'm going to see what we have below deck... Maybe make a list of everything, so we know what we have..."

"Alright." Archibald said to her as he watched her go down the steps, looking back up as she moved out of view. In all reality, none of them knew the first thing about being pirates, and none of them knew how to truly fight. If that wanted to stand and chance against the seas and all that ride them, they would need some people who knew what they were doing on the ship. Not long after, the man that was tasked with finding a map came up to Archibald and showed his the rolled up map, as well as a compass to tell them what direction they were going in, as well as what direction to head in to get to land.

Molly walked down into the under of the ship and started looking around. She quickly found a couple kegs of run, which she figured were left out hoping pirates would take it and leave the rest. She quickly hid them away where the men wouldn't find them. She knew from the few times she had worked at the bar that they had some heavy drinkers. Once those were hidden, she managed to find a piece of paper and a pen and started to write down everything that they had. She stayed down there for sometime before surfacing again.

Archibald was able to find out where they were located on the map, as well as the direction that they were headed in. It might take them a day or maybe even two to get to the mainland, but the young man was perfectly fine with that. He wasn't sure if the crew was as okay about staying on the seas as he was, but they didn't really have any other choice. While looking at the map, the same man from before came to Archibald again, but with a different map. Much to his surprise, it was a star map, charting out the stars. He assumed that the map would be able to help with traveling as well, but didn't have any use for it at the moment, as they still had about an hour or two of daylight before it got dark.

Molly came back up from under the deck an hour or so later and walked up to Archie. She handed him the list and looked around them. They were on the open sea, no one around them. She looked back at him, "That had everything we have below deck," Well, other than the rum. She didn't need one of them men finding out about it and going looking. No, she'd make sure that they weren't just chugging from the barrel. She looked back around them, still seeing nothing but ocean. She pursed her lips, "Although, of the stuff down there is raw materials and food... Can any of the men cook? I mean it doesn't look like we are going to be anywhere anytime soon.... We should get some dinner ready...."
