I mean I don't need to bump but this would be good to let everyone know there has been an update to this page/thread. I just need a few players. It's a really good system. Honestly! It's also really easy to get the hang of.

So what makes this so different from any other more narrative oriented and rules light style games. Such as FATE, PDQ, Risus, or Apocalypse world floating around?

Probably the fact that I know fuck all about literally all the names you just dropped and Tavern Tales is something I actually already know how to work with.

I don't know what floating around has to do with anything here, though, except for the setting. The setting has jack dick to do with any of the systems, Tavern Tales included, since it's homebrewed. Unless if you mean those systems are just floating around. Then, I've never heard of them. Probably been floating well above my head this whole time.

Yes well the way you reference D&D and how this game does things differently made me wonder if you were aware that there's plenty games with a focus on narrative, lack of classes, less stat inflation, and other things mentioned.

Also game looks aight I suppose, an offspring of D&D with some rules light type game

I was stating a matter of fact without even being that blunt. If he isn't totally on board he probably shouldn't apply. Adding 'I suppose' usually denotes dubiousness, so if one is already dubious about the system then they probably shouldn't bother with it. It'd be a waste of time in the case that they are disappointed. It's not like I called his mother a whore and told him his roleplaying sucks. I just said that if he isn't TOTALLY ON BOARD (read: REALLY INTERESTED), he probably shouldn't join because I'm only as enthusiastic as my players. That plays in to me actually running the campaign, you see.

But I'm going to take a guess and say you probably don't feel like joining, Parser. It sounds like you don't want to get along with me and are more inclined to take offense than take my responses at face value. You know, kind of like it was meant to be, without any snidery or vitriol. Kind of like this one.

To be honest, I was thinking about joining, but then I saw how tremendously smug you're being to a guy who's just giving his evaluation of your homebrew. Frankly speaking, you're coming off as antagonistic to Jerkchicken (and me, for that matter).
You can't exactly ask people to take your comments at face value when face value is still remarkably snide and patronizing.

You sound a little jaded and that is unfortunate. But anyway I was being serious about the player enthusiasm thing. If it doesn't have you excited then that's fine I just need to find players that are. Actually I was serious about all of it.

I'm not being smug at all, Parser. You're just parsing it that way. I know why, too. The way I talk here in text is really easy to parse as smug nonsense but that's because it's missing inflections and my actual voice tone. I tried to pepper in a frowny face to lighten the mood and show that I'm actually just disappointed. Because I really am just disappointed that jerk chicken isn't hella excited. That's it. He says it's okay but he didn't really jump on it like a beast like I was hoping to see. Also his evaluation was of Tavern Tales I'm pretty sure, which I didn't make. Some other guys on the internet made that.

Okay maybe there is a bit of facetiousness in there but it's nothing to flare up at.

But if you're going to be a sourpuss then stop posting on my thread. I'm looking for
enthusiastic players, not criticism on my social cues and inappropriate joking. I like the way I talk and you don't. That's fine, but this is my interest check.

In the future, Parser, regardless of how much of a dick you think someone is for their blunt as hell speech, if it's on an interest check, don't post it. Keep it to yourself. You're allowed to think whatever you like but please respect the interest checks because they are meant to check for and garner interest and interested players.
