Today was an interesting and fateful day for humanity as a whole. Every little while new heirs to supernatural titles would be chosen, and whisked away to a place humanity had no contact with. How many people could say they went to a separate dimension by bus? Very few, probably. Because these chosen few were the ones to decide and govern natural law. The impossible would be something very possible for these young minds. The school had managed to book everybody who had been recently ordered to attend tickets to Japan, where, they'd take a bus to the remote mountainside where they'd enter to a different dimension. The other gates were reserved for truly godly business, so, this one was the only one to the school. So the bus waited at the airport for it's first load of passengers. What lied in store for them?

Ashil was up early the day before he'd left, he always was an early riser though he never got much done. While some might take the spare hours to do work, or prepare materials, or pack, Ashil instead busied himself with his appearance. A lot of work went into his get-up; he worked out his outfit, fussed with his hair, depending on the circumstances he might apply a little makeup -his dastardly deeds often called for a darker tone. By the time he was finished, despite -in his own mind at the very least- looking all gussied up, he was almost late for his flight.

Along the way, he managed to swipe the light from the cab, which he was quite proud of. He hadn't had much luck getting away with stuff like that as of recent, and Apep had not been very pleased with him as far as he could tell. But that was all about to change with the movement to school. Ever since he'd been given these "gifts" things had been one spiral after another. He needed to learn how to do his job, or he'd just be stuck as a perpetual failure forever.

He supposed he might have looked a bit silly being all dressed up and lugging around a rolling suitcase behind him, but any attention was good attention, really. He'd been informed of the bus they'd be waiting for, and was quick to spot it outside of the airport. He'd didn't take long to admire the scenery, Japan didn't interest him nearly as much as the specific place they were heading to. With speed befitting his eagerness, he approached the bus and knocked upon the door.

"Excuse me? Would this be the transportation for the..erh...'school'?" he asked.

Evera had found herself busy reading on her long flight to Japan. For some reason she could never bring herself to sleep on planes. Especially over water. Perhaps her spirit was put at ill ease when over vast expanses of liquid. She had no idea. But by the time she reached her destination she was exhausted and ready for a nap. A bus was supposed to be taking her to this supposed school, so hopefully it would be easier to sleep on. Although, nothing seemed as comfortable as a bed at the moment.

She rolled her suitcase behind her once getting through the airport, and headed outside, stretching in the unfamiliar air. She wore a simple, thin loose sweater and some jeans, knee high slouchy boots completing her comfortable travel look. She wasn’t wearing any makeup either, but had her brown thick hair down and ran her hand through it lazily.

She had to admit, coming to a different country was intimidating. She knew no one here. Not a word of the language either. She thought the idea of the mountainside they were supposed to be travelling to was romantic though, and if nothing else this could be somewhat of a vacation until her studies had to get serious.

With these thoughts in her mind she finally spotted the bus and a rather thin boy with flamboyant hair about to board. ”Getting on board?” Evera asked the guy, smiling and finding a storage door on the outside of the bus to toss her large bag into. After having done so, she brushed past him with a friendly smile and climbed on, finding a seat in the middle and getting comfortable. Well, it appeared she was the only one besides the other man if he was coming to show up so far. Oh well. She was sure others would be arriving momentarily.

Of all the things that Phobetor had been forced to endure over the years, not using his gifts on a long flight full of weary humans was one of the most difficult. While he had known it would have been utterly hilarious to poke around in some of the passengers' dreams, there was always the chance of making some critical mistake and sending the plane spiraling down into the ocean. The fall hadn't been a concern for the son of Hypnos, but any even with a possibility of coming face to face with Poseidon again was something best avoided. Phobetor had been forced to watch the in-flight entertainment instead, though he didn't speak Japanese. Given that the movie was Finding Nemo, however, perhaps that had been a good thing.

Itching to use his powers, Phobetor transformed into a sparrow mere seconds after leaving the jet. Having no belongings not carried in his various pockets and pouches, there was no luggage to grab, so rather than wandering through a hub of smelly, frustrated humans the God of Nightmares opted to fly over the crowd instead. A whiff of cinnamon, however, caught his attention. Unable to resist, he winged his way down to a small bakery stand, and there found an out-of-sight place to turn back. Before walking up to it, he made sure his clothes looked sufficiently normal: dark blue slacks, a black-and-green striped shirt, and a gray jacket emblazoned with skulls managed to fit right in nowadays. Not that these were really part of his garb; they were merely a disguise. Consigning himself to wait amongst the humans for the snack, he rested his hands in his pockets and found that there was no money. He thought for a moment about what morality had done for him in life, and decided to steal a cinnamon roll instead.

He fished Vox out of his satchel, licked his thin lips, and played. A few meters to his left, there came a loud crashing noise out of nowhere, metal clanging against the ground and shattering the tranquility of the scene. As every eye turned to look, the shadow of one of the cinnamon rolls sprang to life, and launched its owner toward the God of Nightmares.

A few minutes later, a sparrow arrived at the bus. Phobetor changed forms again, and just for the sake of using magic, decided to change into his proper attire now that he was in the company of people like him. A wave of his hand wove shadows through his civilian clothes, turning them into black cotton and leather. His favorite bandanna materialized around his head, which he checked to make sure was in place. Placing the last bit of the pastry inside his mouth, he boarded the bus. His eyes instantly fell upon its occupants, a fabulous boy with audacious hair and an unimposing brown-haired girl in a sweater. Neither interested him in the slightest, though the young lady looked temptingly sleepy. Pretending to ignore them, he scratched his chin with a clawlike fingernail, as if he couldn't decide which seat to take.

Taiyo didn't have a body in this world. So, playing tricks sounded pretty fun. He passed through the closed bus door and looked around. He saw a bird steal a roll and come to the bus. "Hah, idiot!~" He chimed to nobody in particular. He passed through the now human-shaped god, and left an indelible tag of indictment on his skin. Now he could wait till the sins piled up and bring their weight down on his head. It would be so much fun to see a sinner collapse under the weight. He left the guy alone for now, and found the other guy and the girl. He became visible behind the girl. "Boo!" He said, and laughed. "So, you are the new students?" He asked. "I guess not all of them are dead, huh? does that make me a special case? Well, anyway, we are all special in our own way, aren't we? So, who are you? Despite my ghostly state, I'm not actually here to be a ghost. I died, but, that's not important. I'll be a student with you all, and I should get my body back soon." He mused, enjoying the floating. "Oh, I forgot to mention. I'm the god of law and sun to be. So watch it evildoers!" He said, in a corny fashion. He settled down, and looked at the two patiently.

"Andy-boy...Your flight has landed." a cool voice echoed within Andrew's mind.

With a quiet gasp, the young man's bright green eyes snapped open and he sat up. Looking around, he saw that he was alone. Of course he was alone, who else would be here with him? Private jet, 1st Class. Only Andrew and a singular attendant were on board, save for the pilots. Blinking, he wiped at the corners of his mouth as he peered around the cabin of the jet. He had a tendency to drool whenever he slept, able to sleep just about anywhere regardless of the level of comfort. Certain that he was indeed alone, he sighed. His shoulders sagging slightly from the realization.

"Th-...Thank you, for waking me." He internally replied to the voice.
"Any time, Andy-boy. Now, shouldn't we get moving? We shouldn't dilly-dally..."
"R-right.."

Looking up, he then noticed his female attendant silently waiting for him in the open cabin door. Face growing hot and red from the embarrassment of having her wait, he quickly grabbed his coat and left his seat. Keeping his head and eyes lowered, he quietly muttered "E-excuse m-me." The young woman in her maid outfit gave a curt smile and bowed her head lower than his, motioning with a hand towards the exit of the jet. "Not at all. Right this way, Master."

Nervously adjusting the knot of his tie, he walked past her and walked down the steps of the jet. Greeted by the warm sunlight of Japan's climate, he made his way to the terminal of the airport. As he walked, he wondered what was it about Japan that attracted so much supernatural attention? It seemed to be the source of so many odd gatherings of paranormal/spiritual activity.

"It's because the people of this country are closer to the spiritual world. They have a profound and deep respect for such things, Andy-boy." the sweet-as-honey voice answered.

Flustered at having his private thoughts intruded on, he kept quiet as he walked faster. His cheeks still burning red with embarrassment. As he walked, his female attendant followed close behind rolling his singular bag of luggage.

"Aww, what's the matter Andy-boy? I didn't anger you now, did I?" the cool-as-water voice teased.
Andrew offered no response.
"Fine. Pout then."

Approaching the entrance of the airport, Andrew stopped and slipped his blazer coat on. As he fumbled with the buttons of his coat, his attendant came up and stopped him. Quickly and efficiently buttoning the front of his coat for him, she smiled as she smoothed a few wrinkles out and dusted some lint off of his shoulders.

"Y-y-you don't have to help me. I can do it m-m-myself." he stuttered, annoyed.
Smiling still, she handed him his luggage.
"Nonsense. Have a safe trip, Master. The family has high expectations of you."
He swallowed dryly. He knew of his family's expectations for him. She didn't have to mention it. He knew all too well.
His attendant giving him a curtsy, he stammered and put his hands up frantically. A few onlookers shooting him curious glances, he grew ever more nervous.
"Oh, relax a little Andy-boy. Give your attendant a proper and memorable farewell.." with that, Andrew lost control temporarily as Asmodeus took over his body.

As a ring of black diamonds appeared encircling his left eye, Asmodeus smirked. A mischievous gleam in his green eyes as he approached the curtsying attendant. Wrapping an arm around her waist, he pressed his body against hers and brought his lips to her ear. A small but quiet yelp escaping her own lips from the sudden physical contact, her body going rigid. "Thank you for the consideration, miss. You have a safe return home yourself," he whispered into her ears as his hand gave her backside a firm squeeze. Her face growing beet-red.

Chuckling, Asmodeus as Andrew stepped back and gave her wink. The black diamonds around his left eye faded away as Andrew regained control of his body. Standing there frozen in a mixture of fear and mortification, he tried to offer an apology but his voice stalled in his throat as he looked at his attendant. Asmodeus' cruel laughter deafeningly loud in his mind. Others in the airport saw the incident and were now standing and staring. Some even pointing and recording with their phones, others snapping pictures. With a huff, the attendant adjusted her outfit and shot Andrew an angry glare.

Bowing her head she bid him farewell once more, "Have a safe trip, Master." her words hard, but understanding.
Looking around at the small crowd that was gathering, he gulped.
"I-I...I'm s-sorry!" he meekly whispered to her as he grabbed his luggage and stormed out of the airport.
Furious at Asmodeus, he shoved his luggage into the storage compartment under the bus and got on.
Keeping his eyes on the ground and head lowered, he walked straight to the back of the bus to the corner seat and sat.

Reaching into his inner coat pocket, he pulled out a small book and proceeded to bury his nose in it. Ignoring all of the other passengers and not even bothering to ask if this was the correct bus. He already knew who they were, he could already tell that they weren't of normal human origin. Not wanting to speak or acknowledge any of the other bus riders, he focused on his reading. Hoping that none of them saw what had transpired just inside the airport terminal. Great, what a way to start things off. At least it shouldn't be all bad. I mean, least of all they were in Japan. The source and birth home of many of his favorite anime and manga..

"Oh, come on Andy-boy. I know you enjoyed that and trust me, she did too."
"Sh-shut up..." he continued his reading, trying his best to ignore the others and most of all Asmodeus.

The first person to arrive was a girl, very young, very pretty. He might have felt jealous if he wasn't so sure of himself. What was worse; she was friendly, immediately so. All smiles and sweet looks. He almost reciprocated on instinct, but instead he said nothing, merely huffed, as would be expected of him. She had no hesitations for climbing right aboard the bus, and so neither would he. His luggage tossed into the carrying space, he sauntered down the isle as if he owned the damn thing, perusing each seat, measuring their worth. He bumped up against Phobetor, but only absently acknowledged the other boy's presence.

"Pick a lane, creep," he snapped, before whirling back around and plopping down in a seat at the front, a smug grin on his face.

Then they were joined by another, perhaps the most interesting of the ones he'd seen so far -though the crow boy was something else too- a ghost. A ghost? That was new, though not exactly a surprise given the circumstances. Ashil's interest quickly devolved into distaste as the boy opened his mouth. He was peppy, happy -disgustingly so- and too chatty for his own good. All of these things he could have ignored, but it was the last little bits of information that turned him back.

Sun and the law? He felt a chill run down his spine, and a grinding in his ear as if Apep himself was growling into it. His lips twitched, subtly, and he scoffed to cover it. "Ew," he sneered.

Thankfully, another occupant arrived, and he was glad for a distraction. Ashil let his eyes linger, the boy had a nice walk, and like the girl he too was pretty. In his mind though, he knew it wouldn't be long until he was spewing insults at him, so he was thankful there weren't any words. With another gaze over the current occupants, he grinned again. Why? He wasn't sure. He wasn't happy. He was excited, but not happy, he knew already how this would end. That was enough to sour his lips into a scowl, and he turned back to the front.

Evera sat on the bus, a contented look on her face despite being tired. She watched as a man got on the bus, different from the one she’d passed getting on board. This one had a bandana on and wore a nice amount of black, making her wonder if he was a bit sad, or mischievous. The color tended to follow ones mood after all. She wore a lot of camel, beige colors. Rather plain and boring though easy on the eye. She supposed that’s how she felt most of the time. Rather usual but content.

After the older man the boy she’d passed getting on sauntered on, a lot more confidence now than he’d seemed to have when standing at the threshold of this new experience, talking very roughly to the man who was scratching his chin. Her eyes opened a hair more in surprise at his tone, wondering if he was grumpy. Perhaps he was the one in need of a nap.

Just as she was contemplating the two men, someone said boo behind her and she jumped slightly, looking in surprise behind her. She saw a spirit and smiled, thinking him apparently quite impish and funny, floating about and warning them of evildoing. ”Why hello there. Yes I’m a new student I suppose,” she said calmly. ”My name is Evera. What is yours?” she asked curiously. She could only imagine how her parents would envy her at this moment, speaking to a ghost. She did not respond to his threat against evil doing either, as she wasn’t sure she was a good doer or an evil doer… she supposed she was simply somewhere between like most people.

While waiting for the boy’s response, another male entered, heading straight to the back with his head down. Her smile fell a bit, a look of concern replacing it, wondering if the boy was despondent or just shy. But as he pulled out a book and buried his face in it, she shrugged and supposed it was just shyness, and perhaps by his actions he wished to be left alone. How sad. Hopefully one of them could befriend him. She was brought back to her current conversation by a nasally Ew making her look at the first boy in surprise once more. Well, perhaps he wouldn’t be very pleasant.

A strange sensation of cold washed over Phobetor's body despite his warm clothing. Sensing magic, he whirled around, but saw nothing. A few seconds into narrowing his eyes at the two other occupants on the bus, he became aware of a slight throbbing sensation on his wrist, as if it were being slightly squeezed. He yanked off his glove and found a mark on his skin. Shaped like a heron sitting on a lake, the symbol pulsed with a soft orange glow. Unnerved, Phobetor held his other palm over the tag and twiddled his fingers, probing it with shadow magic.

As such, he was totally unaware of Andrew, only subconsciously moving out of the isle to let him pass. When Ashil came along, however, the two actually collided. His focus broken, Phobetor readied a nasty remark but was beaten to the punch. The God of Nightmares almost recoiled, moving aside to allow Ashil to continue on his egotistical way. After a moment of sputtering, he replied under his breath with “Manducare puppe, caput faex” and sat down. He pulled his glove back on irritably, deciding to leave the mark alone for now.

By laying his fingers on the fabric of the seat, he channeled shadow magic through it. While all this did physically to the chair was turn it a velvety black, he felt far more comfortable in his element. If he was going to be spending time on this bus, it wouldn't hurt to have a little territory on his side.

A...bus.

Mai honestly was at a lost while she sat inside the vehicle.

She'd signed up for this school in hopes of becoming a better Shrine Maiden, and yet she found herself far too intimidated to go near anyone that the bus had picked up thus far. As such, it should be no surprise that she found herself far in the back and away from the others that were talking further up on the bus. The new people seemed interesting to an extent but...Nono. She shook her head and clutched her mirror close to her chest as she rubbed her eyes. She hadn't really slept since the night before, instead having spent all of that time talking to her god of her concerns and worries. It was a bothersome idea to an extent...

She was just a mortal, spiritually attuned as she was to the Moon God. She could probably be wiped off like an insect if someone wanted to hurt her. Her only form of safety was the Yata Mirror that he had given her to take care of. With a sigh on her lips, she strived to recall his words to the best of her abilities. The soft whispers that came to answer her concerns...

Let not the word "mortality" scare you, for I will let not such a devoted child find harm.

...That's what he had said. Whispered in the confines of her mind when she otherwise would have been alone in her thoughts. It was....reassuring at the least. Made her smile. And with that in mind, Mai settled back into the bus seat whilst waiting for their destination to be reached. She could handle sleeping for a bit so long as she has her mirror in her arms and reassurance that nothing terrible could happen on the ride there at the least.

Taiyo looked around the bus. Seems everybody had boarded. "I'd like to more formally introduce myself." He floated to the aisle at the front of the bus, and remained standing, visible to everybody. "I'm Taiyo Shin, and I'll bet the god of the sun, and natural law, for any of you who don't know." He bowed to them, and looked at a clipboard in the seat next to him. "I'd like to take attendance so we don't have the misfortune of leaving anybody at the airport. As I am a ghost, I can't really manipulate the clipboard, even though I've been tasked with watching over you all." He scratched his translucent head awkwardly. "So I'd like to call upon one of the students here, and who better than the one who needs the most attention?" He looked down at the clipboard to see if he had read her name right. He looked at the girl in the back, and snapped his fingers. An orb of soft light appeared above her head. "Mai, could you come help me please?" He folded her arms. "Mai is a unique case compared to the rest of us. She is going to be a shrine maiden! That's a very honorable title. I expect the rest of us gods to pay her the proper respect. Without people like her, or jobs would be much harder." He nodded to the girl, and stepped aside. "Before we begin attendance, I'd like to say, I've visited the school before. I am to guide you all to your residencies, and, keep watch of you. Some of you I know may not like it..." His eyes found the eyes of those few. ", but it's my job now. All of us will have such tasks we must attend to. Failing to comply will result in the stripping of your powers, and expulsion. Godhood is a very serious job.", he said. With that, he let Mai take roll-call. He had suddenly become very serious, now that he was channeling his godhood, and doing his job. He took it all seriously. He didn't want to remain a spirit. Failure to pass was literal death.

For a few quiet moments, Asmodeus left Andrew alone. Giving him just enough time to resume his place in the world of the book he had been reading about. Content and at peace, Andrew adjusted his black glasses as he read. They had a tendency to slide down the bridge of his nose, bothersome things. To be honest Andrew actually has good, normal vision. It was just that sometimes the small text in books strained his eyesight and gave him headaches. His glasses were to merely magnify the text to make it easier for him to read. Reading glasses, if you would. The cover of his book featured a black image of a woman's face, though the black was made up of various images of birds. The story involved the woman on the cover and her ability to predict people's deaths. Andrew was up to the 2nd book in the trilogy and was completely enraptured when Asmodeus spoke up.

"Andy-boy..." he cooed.
Sighing, Andrew paused his reading.
"W-what is it?"
"Aren't you the least bit curious about the other passengers?"
"N-n-not exactly..."
"Liar. I know you can smell it"
"Wh-what!"
"Women, Andy-boy. Their fragrance. At least two so far"
"S-s-so?"
"Have a peek for me, Andy-boy. I'm curious."
"...."
"Come on, aren't you a little curious too? I'll leave you alone if you take a peek for me.."
"F-...fine."
"Attaboy..."

Keeping his book open, he slowly peered his emerald orbs over its top edge and looked around at the other bus riders. Seeing Evera's brown hair, he noticed how she dressed in neutral colors and rather plainly.

"A Ferryman" Asmodeus stated.
"W-what?" Andrew asked, wondering what he meant.
"Nothing..." Asmodeus replied with a musical tone.

Quickly looking around, he saw another young man dressed darkly in all black change his seat into a different material. From where Andrew sat, it looked like a velvet or suede. That wasn't a bad idea, to get more comfortable. Though, Andrew couldn't exactly relax yet. "Yeesh, could you dress more morbidly, Dream Eater? What a face too... Asmodeus commented. Andrew ignored his rude remarks.

Then in stark contrast to the young man dressed in all black and the brunette woman was another young man with bright and colorful hair. "Pfft! Is that make-up? A bit of a flamboyant diva, huh, Fruit Cake?" Asmodeus couldn't help but laugh. His laughter echoing incessantly in Andrew's mind, wearing him down.

Eyes looking up slightly, he saw that one of the passengers was a ghostly young man. "Ugh...A goody two-shoes. Pass on to the Netherworld already." Having enough of his rude remarks for one day, Andrew spoke up. "Q-quiet! You b-be nice!" Asmodeus voice had a bit of a pout to it. "Oh, boo. You're no fun." Looking around one final time, Andrew was grew confused.

"Asmodai? I th-thought you s-said there were t-t-two females? Y-you didn't mean that boy with the blue and p-purple hair, d-did you?"
"Eyes right, kiddo." Asmodeus said, still slightly pouting from being scolded by Andrew.
Andrew froze, growing rigid.
Turning his head ever so slowly to the right that you could imagine a creaking sound, Andrew saw at the edge of his peripheral vision that someone else had already chosen their seat in the back, opposite from Andrew. Courage draining from him, he quickly buried his face back into his book. How did he not notice them until now?
"Oh come on, I didn't get a good look..." Asmodeus complained.
Sighing, Andrew ducked his head lower and peered from the right most edge of his book. When his eyes fell on Mai, his breath caught in his throat.
"Ooh...she's a cute one, don't you think? A priestess too. She'll be fun to 'play' with and corrupt..."
Andrew gave him no response, choosing instead to ignore him.

Evera observed another girl enter the bus and gave a friendly smile, honestly thankful she wasn’t going to be the only female among the students. Perhaps they could get along and talk about things she wouldn’t be able to with the male students. Evera was pondering these things as the ghost boy who had been talking to her went to the front of the bus. She settled in more comfortably once again, a content if sleepy look on her face as she memorized his name, as she would everyone’s. When he said he was to watch over them, she thought it a bit strange, as she suspected she was older than he was, but she had no idea really.

Ah, Mai was the other girl’s name. Evera looked to the back of the bus and smiled at the girl before looking forward once more, listening again to Taiyo. She wouldn’t mind him keeping a watch over her. In fact it might be rather nice. Her job was to be guarding everyone else’s souls now and again, so it didn’t hurt to have someone watching hers.

She cooperatively said “Present” when called upon.

No sooner had he begun to mentally distance himself from the bus's occupants did the ghostly nuisance pipe up once again. A reaffirmation at first, this boy was indeed the future god of the sun, and the law of nature. Once again, his spine crawled, and he could feel Apep's distaste course through his veins. He would no doubt cross with this boy. Taiyo, eventually, but he was in no hurry to do so.

Next came information he could actually use. A shrine maiden? Those still existed? He had no information to back up his opinion, as in all honesty he knew next to nothing about the position. But that was part of his role, then, wasn't it? Assumptions, later on to be thrown back at him, and his ignorance being a seed in his defeat. Indeed each loss was it's own unique piece, and this one was shaping up to have quite a myriad of facets. He waited as attendance on the bus was called, keeping an ear out for the names and committing them to memory. When his was called, he stood, spun to face the occupants with as devilish a smirk as he could muster, and bowed low.

"Ashil Arry, maid. I know it'll be hard to remember, but try. Would do all of you good, really," he hissed, honing his gaze onto her for a few elongated moments before swiveling back with a flourish and sitting down. Facing away, he broke his dastardly expression, biting his lip and going over all of the points in his head, making sure he'd hit all of them. Had to make his impression well. Content, he smoothed his lips out against each other, and went back to his own thoughts.

...Ah?!

With her face flushed initially upon being called, she nodded with a slight before standing up and walking over to the talking instructor to take hold of the clipboard as asked. Alright...Let's...see now. Taking a moment to go over the list, it wasn't too terribly long. She just...hoped she could get the names right. Allowing her eyes to gaze up and over the bus inhabitants, she began from the top to the bottom.

"Ah...Andrew?"

The quick duck of a male's head came long as she spoke the name, slight confusion on her face before she shrugged it off and counted him as the one that she was looking for. With that, a quick check would be given to account for his presence.

"Evera?"

A nice, calm, "Present" was returned for the inquiry, and a soft smile came past the Shrine Maiden's lips as she checked her off for being present and went on.

"....Ah...As...hil...Arr-"

Corrected before she even had a chance. A soft apology would come from Mai before she counted him as being present on top of his terrible mood of sorts and continued downward. The last name...Huh...
"Phobetor?"
She really couldn't put the name to a face, so she could only hold onto the clipboard until an answer or silence ensued. Regardless, she'd place the clipboard back down after a few moments and...well...retake a seat closer to their instructing guide in order to listen to him better. He had pointed outright that she was probably the only mortal mixed in this case. No bigshot, no super-powerful being...Just a girl with faith and a caring god. Hopefully this wouldn't backfire...Hopefully so. She was already a bit worried on how she would adjust to the new school as it was...

"Well, if everybody is present, we can get moving!" He nodded to Mai. "Thanks for you help!" He said cheerfully, before turning to the driver. "Kay, we can go now!" He announced, before looking around the bus. The seats were filled pretty evenly, and he had a few things to say to certain people... but he'd have to save it. The bus was already moving, but it's not as if it affected him that much. He drifted along with it, looking for a place to relax. It was funny how half the bus probably had bones to pick with his job. You couldn't sleep with a sun glaring over your head, the moon god was less relevant than the sun, and might be jealous, Apep's job was to EAT light, and destroy it, and Asmodeous was the sinful-est job of anybody on the bus. He shrugged, and drifted over to Mephistopheles, taking a seat beside her. Of course, her real name was Evera. "Heheh, you seem to be the only one I have something in common with!" He said, in a reduced decibel. "A ghost and a soul shepherd. Heheh. You guide the dead, and I guide the living. Of course, Judging the dead is my job too. If we pass, we'll see each other a lot, so, I'd best get used to it, huh?" He relaxed, and folded his arms. "At first I thought godhood was crazy talk, but, I guess getting killed and seeing what's after helps break the ice. How did you find out?"

Evera waited until the bus pulled away from the airport before she rested her head against the window, eyes half open. She yawned when she noticed Taiyo floated over to her. Blinking a few times to wake her eyes up a bit more she smiled gently at him and picked her head off the window. She nodded along, understanding what his job was a little better now. ”Well then yes it seems we will see quite a bit of each other!” she smiled, speaking in a lower tone as well. She was grateful her work would include some light hearted beings. From the séance where Mephistopheles spoke to her, he seemed very tired. Slightly depressed. As if in his own personal hell constantly taking damned souls to hell and trying to protect others from demons. Her smile lessened at the thought. ”My adopted parents are ghost hunters, and Mephistopheles spoke to us one night, saying I was his daughter and to take up his mantle one day. Personally I can understand why he would be looking for someone to take over. It doesn’t seem like the most pleasant job. But then again, could be much worse,” she shrugged, always trying to see the positive but be realistic. ”May I… may I ask how you were killed?” she asked curiously.

“Last but not least,” the God of Nightmares snickered in reply. While the shrine maiden was easy on the eyes, he was immediately turned off by her obvious timidity. She responded to his voice by looking his way, attempting to assign a face to the strange name. The two locked eyes for a moment, soft pink on marbled black, and Mai practically trembled. Since the pretentious blowhard Ashil had already decided to make a scene of himself, Phobetor decided to keep it subtle. He rolled his eyes as she put down the clipboard and sat in a different seat.

Then the ghost wound up to speak again, declaring that all was accounted for and the vehicle could begin its voyage. As the bus lurched into action, Phobetor briefly examined Taiyo, watching him drift over to 'Evera' and begin to chatter. For a second he was jealous as the girl did not hesitate to open up to him, but he consoled himself by concluding that she couldn't possibly have anything worthwhile to say anyway.

As such, Phobetor quickly transitioned to amusing himself. Not wanting to create poor first impressions in such a cramped space, he opted to make puppets instead of try to frighten the others. Holding his hands in the air right in front of him, he cast shadows onto the back of the seat, contorting them into different shapes. In quick succession, he made a Pegasus, a Hydra, a bat, a cow skull, and an Orthus. The final image he settled on, and allowed more magic to flow into his two-dimensional creation. In response, the miniature two-headed hound began to move of its own accord, loping across the seat back and baring its teeth at nothing.

Phobetor snapped his fingers and a second puppet appeared, this one in the shape of a snake. As he watched, the two images began to fight, a brutal and short duel. While the fangs of the Orthus's heads raked the serpent's body, its crushing constriction spelled the beast's doom in the end. He spent a moment thinking of another matchup, and waved his hand to alter the puppets into a spider and a spear-wielding satyr. As the two began to face off, he reclined in his seat as much as he could to better enjoy the show.

When his name was called, Andrew could offer no response. Instead choosing to hide behind his book and remain silent. Pretending to continue reading, not having heard Mai.
"Well, that was rather rude of you Andy-boy. You should've said something."
"I...y-...you know how sh-shy I a-am...I c-couldn't..."
"Honestly, what am I to do with you?" Asmodeus sighed.

"Well, at least we know the names of the other passengers."
That was true, Andrew agreed, going over the names that were called and committing their faces to memory. As he did so Mai, the shrine maiden who took role call, returned to her seat opposite of him. Gulping, he hoped that she wouldn't try to speak with him. Asmodeus already took a liking to her, so there was no telling what he would do if he overpowered Andrew's will and took control of his body. Sighing, he was also rather curious as to the small number of students. Surely there would be more students? There were plenty of gods, deities and demons of all kinds of all religious backgrounds in the world. Exactly how big was the school they were attending?

As they moved along in the bus, Andrew just kept his thoughts and questions to himself as he returned to his book. Occasionally, he looked up to see what the others were doing. Taiyo and Evera were chatting it up, getting to know each other. Phobetor busied himself with creating a sort of morbid shadow play. A little jealous, he did sort of wish he had the courage to easily talk with others. Or at least cool powers and abilities like some of the other deities. But no, all he had was a mean little voice in his head that tormented him.

"Excuse you? I resent that, Andy-boy." Asmodeus chimed in
"O-oh! I'm ss-sorry! I...didn't m-mean that" Andrew said, a little surprised
"Uh-huh, sure. We both know that if only you accepted me a little more, I could use more of my 'cool' powers"
"...s-...sorry..."

Flustered, Andrew resigned to reading his book in silence as the bus continued to move. It didn't take long until the motion of the bus started to make him feel a bit drowsy. Yawning, Andrew covered his mouth and struggled to keep his eyes open. His head starting to bob as he fought off sleep.

"Careful, Andy-boy. That Dream Eater might try something funny if you doze off. In my current state, I don't think I could fend him off either.." Asmodeus warned.

Adjusting his glasses, Andrew sat up straighter and took a deep breath to try and keep himself awake. If only he had a better way to occupy his time, he wouldn't have to worry about falling asleep on the bus. Reading relaxed him too much and the warm rays of sunlight beating down on him didn't make things any easier. His green eyes looking more and more heavy as the bus continued its journey.
