Valentin Schwarzwald

Valentin watched with great interest as the girl dropped to the floor of her tank, something knacking inside of him once he realized she was actually.. well, dead. He walked closer and inspected her, taking a look at the red holes in her body where the pumps previously had been been. It looked like she hadn't had a really great life. Or perhaps she had. What was a great life anyway? He shook his head and walked towards the end of the large hall, choosing to go and explore some more. As he passed the doctor he gave him another kick for what he'd done to the girl. “Fucking bastard..” he mouthed out as he continued.

At the end of the hallway there was a large stairs leading upwards which Valentin followed. He came to some.. abandoned cosmetical surgery room. There were knives and blades scattered all over and there was some blood on areas that wouldn't normally have blood -- it was all dried up though so Valentin didn't care much. He heard some low growling noises outside and a drill revving up, and was about to inspect it all when he heard a loud, annoying and ear-drum crushing screech. “Damn!” he yelled out as he went for his pistol. Now, Val was a total bad ass and preferred fighting with his fists, but there was drills, low groans and a screech like that outside? No way he was gonna punch a big giant robot and his friend. And.. girlfriend? Whatever.

Slowly the door creaked open leading to the medical pavillion. Val's head peaked out and took a look around only to discover that there was some sort of robot wars going on outside the doorway. The Big Sister seemed to be further away from him, with a big daddy in between revving up his drill at some other big daddy. Something was off about this big daddy, though, and he seemed kind of alone. “Wow.” Valentin said, looking at his pistol and deciding that he didn't have enough bullets. He retreated back into the cosmetic surgery office and watched the fight through a window, unsure if they'd even known he was here.

Thomas continued to explore around the facility but didn't find much to anything of particular interest. He came to a few flights of stairs and decided to see where they went. As he climbed the stairs up and up he eventually managed to make his way to some sort of abandoned surgery area witch also held one of the knights Valentin. "Hey Knight! It's me green ghost looking guy don't shoot!" Thomas yelled over before walking towards Valentin. "What are ya looking at through the window?" Thomas asked as he approached in his splicer body.

Lucas sighed in frustration as Val left the elevator machine, in a place that probably wasn't even Columbia. In fact, they had known this place was more hostile than Columbia, by the fact that there were guards trying to kill them almost as soon as the portal opened.

With a resounding groan, the elevator halted on the top floor. As everyone exited the elevator, he un-holstered his weapon, and held it close to him. This place was dangerous, and unknown. Sam, was it? Had just fell on the floor for like, no reason at all. Keneddy quickly helped him up, and made her way to an office. Mason, on the other hand, had started looting a machine labeled "Circus of Values" with an... odd man on it. After looting some salts and a Med Kit, probably for Sam, mason took one long look at it with an outstretched hand, and entered the office with Kennedy and Sam. Lucas entered behind Mason. He decided to wait quietly in the corner of the room.

Gamma staggered, and fell to his knee at the shriek of the suited attacker, unable to react as the big sister kicked the little sister's big daddy and lit it on fire with an incinerate. Gamma heard voices, but ignored them, probably just some citizen come to watch the fight. While Gamma wasn't sure what it was that was attacking him and the other big daddy, he took note of the wickedly large needles attached to its forearms. Gamma grasped the drill on his right hand and, with a clunk, pulled it free, and placed the drill in its holster on his back. Gamma then pulled out his rivet gun, and took aim.

Gamma hesitated, however, as he didn't want to harm the little sister that the attacker was crouching over, and he was hoping the little sister's big daddy would draw its attention away from her. Gamma clenched his left hand, regretting his lack of EVE hypos.

Samuel looked at Mason as he presented the first aid kit and nodded. "Ah, very good. Now, pop me a few aspirin, would ya?" He knew that his shaky hands would be unable to open up the bottle of pain relievers, so he opted for reaching towards yet another syringe that lay in the kit. It was filled with a red liquid that seemed thick and goopy. He fumbled with it before jabbing it into his thigh and slowly, painfully pressing the plunger. After he finished, he removed the needle from his flesh and took the pills that had been dosed out for him. "Thanks bud." Soon enough, the liquid spread to his heart, where it was quickly distributed throughout his body. A rush of energy took over him, and he remained sitting to ride out the high.

Kennedy's scouring of the office brought several concerns to her attention. All of the pictures on the wall portrayed men, women, and children of all sorts. But... they were different than Kennedy and her little group of rebels. They dressed strange, more revealing and tight-fitting clothes. She looked down at her own attire, a green skirt with a cream colored blouse. Her lips pressed together to a thin line and she wondered if the way they appeared would be a problem here in... wherever they were. On the ground, a crumpled newspaper sat in a pile of other papers. Kennedy picked it up, reading the name: "The Rapture Tribune", and the date that read November 19th, 1958. She dropped the paper and her hand jumped to cover her mouth as a gasp escaped it.

Samuel noticed as Kennedy discovered where they were and what time they were in. He grit his teeth together and stood, walking over to her. "Calm down, girly." Just as he was about to open his mouth to say more, the sound of a drill revving and metal clashing interrupted him. "Ah, balls." He sighed and limped over to the door, peering out into the hallway. He looked back at the others and motioned for them to follow, "For the love of God, whatever you do, don't shoot. Ya hear? They might look frightenin', but if you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone." He hobbled down the hallway, Kennedy behind him with her hand on her gun at her waist.

She bit her lip and controlled her emotions, even though she had come to realize they had traveled in time... Soon, they rounded a corner and looked out to a more open area. At the other end of the room, two large robots and a smaller looking figure in scuba gear. Sam put a finger over his lips and led them across the room quietly and up a set of stairs so that they could watch the fight from a safe distance. He whispered to them, "See the big lugs? Those are big daddies." He looked until he spotted the little sister not far from her BD. "See the little one? He protects her. Whatever you do, don't threaten her." The big sister then proceeded to screech, causing Sam and Kennedy to both cover their ears until it ceased. Same looked up in confusion... "That one... I don't know what the hell that is. C'mon, let's get somewhere more safe while they duke it out." Reluctantly, Kennedy followed Sam, seeing as he was her only hope for a sense of direction in this place.

Dodging into an office, they stumbled upon Val and Thomas in his splicer body, though Sam immediately pointed to the splicer and his eyes grew wide. "What the hell! Why haven't you ganked that one yet?" He took a step back, but Kennedy saw Valentin and grinned. "Son of a bitch, you aren't dead yet? Impressive sir." She stepped over to look out the window, observing the BDs as they fought with the big sister and each other. It all intrigued her, but also worried her. Being in such a strange place with no sense of direction or knowledge. "Looks like we have to be more careful around here, boys. Those things look as nasty as the Handymen back home."

Thomas turned around to face Kennedy and Samuel when they walked in and decided that maybe people wouldn't take to kindly to seeing this body in different places but Thomas decided to have a tie bit of fun with it "Blarggha! I'm gonna Kill you!" Thomas said while making himself look somewhat scary. Thomas tried to keep up the facade but ended up cracking up after a little bit "I'm just joking. Its me green guy. By the way the names Thomas." Thomas said staying near the window. Thomas turned back towards the window and looked out over the scene "so where'd these robots come from?" Thomas asked wishing he had mastered his power enough to posses one of those mechanical beings.

Charlotte

“Daddy!” Charlotte screamed, reaching out toward her protector as his metal body collided with a wall. She wanted to run toward him, leaning her body forward in an attempt to reach her protector. The slick suited figure who had attacked her Big Daddy restrained in a caged position, adamant in keeping Charlotte separated from her Daddy. Fearful that she could lose her only known protector, the one who has kept her alive all this time, Charlotte balled up his hand and began to smash them into the leg of the attacker. It didn’t seem to faze it, however, considering it was too focused on her Daddy to take notice of the weak pounding of the small child.

Still, she was persistent, hitting the tall metal figure with all her strength, which wasn’t much. “Leave. My. Daddy. ALONE!” she demanded, taking a hit between every word. A familiar groan caught her attention and she watched as her protector tried to regain its balance only to be struck it the face with a ball of fire.

“No!” The Daddy staggered back, its gas tank clinking against the wall. It didn’t take long for it to react, bringing the drill up to its chest and letting it rev like there’s no tomorrow. It let out a loud, low groan, the red lights from his helmet burned bright with anger. It lifted its knee before stomping on the ground. The ground shook, the vibrations of the impact was enough to knock anyone who wasn’t a hulking mass of metal off their feet. At this, Charlotte found herself clutching on the leg of the skinny beast for support, a smile emerging from her face at her protector’s retaliation. It followed up the stomp with a quick dash, kicking off toward the assailant like a projectile, drill pointed at its chest.
Mason

Mason walked over to Kennedy when he noticed a sudden change in her expression. She had her hand over her mouth, her eyes wide in shock. He placed a hand over her shoulder and took a look at the paper in her hand. Before he could interpret what his comrade had reacted to, the paper fell to the ground. He heard Samuel give Kennedy some sort of remark before picking up the paper himself. His eyes drifted to the top corner of the paper and saw what Kennedy had seen. They were a longer ways from home than he had originally thought. The portal didn’t just take them out of Columbia. It took them out of time. Mason clenched the paper, hearing the crunch of the material. They were in the future. He couldn’t help but wonder if Columbia was still out there; if his daughter had continued to live her life without him all these years. For him, it had only been mere minutes. For her, it had been decades. He took in a breath before swallowing the shock.

A loud roar and a high screech nearly caused Mason to jump. He looked around the area and saw that there wasn’t really anyone else here other than the Knights and Samuel. “What the hell…?” he murmured to himself. He looked to Samuel for answers, following the man as he explained the situation.

The sudden appearance of a grungy looking man caused Mason to reach for his shorty. He stopped when he introduced himself as the green mist from earlier. Mason took a second to compose himself before narrowing his eyes at the new face. “Thomas, huh? Who are you, and why have you been following us?” he questioned, feeling uncomfortable with the fact that this man had been around unnoticed, probably abusing the Possession vigor to his advantage. Before he could get an answer, a loud crash came from beside him.

Mason could see the source of the commotion. This wasn’t something you’d see in Columbia: three metal figures, two large and one slim, and a young child between them. What was a little girl doing in such a place? he wondered. He knew she was in danger but it didn’t appear to him that she was aware of the danger herself. At least, not completely. She was hitting a taller figure, a more feminine metal…thing. All three of the metal monsters appeared highly hostile, the young girl in the middle of all the fighting. Samuel explained that the “Big Daddies” protect the little girl, but it seemed like the feminine figure was trying to do the same. Mason turned to Samuel, a confused look about him.

“Which one is protecting her, exactly?” he asked. It seemed like a valid question, as there were two of these Big Daddies and the mysterious protector fighting over the girl.

Crouched over the Little Sister, Allison noticed the movement of the Alpha Big Daddy behind her and shifted attention to him. At the sight of the rivet gun she gave a warning shriek and raised her hand. As she did, a wheelchair discarded in the hallway also raised and, with a flick of her wrist she sent it sailing towards the Alpha. Allison felt something weakly hitting her leg and glanced down, distracted by the Little Sister's yelling. She wanted to comfort the girl, to take her away to safety, but the situation was simply to dangerous for Allison to just grab the girl and turn her back on the Big Daddies. The sound of a revving engine reached her and she turned in time to witness the sight of the side of a heavy drill swinging towards her. Allison hunched instinctively, swinging up one hand in a defensive gesture while placing the other protectively in front of the little girl at her feet. There was no time for anything else and, with the force of a battering ram, the drill collided with her. Her vision through her helmet fractured and she idly realised that the glass in front of her face had cracked.

Allison was strong, thanks to her genetic modifications, but she was light, and the powerful swing of the Bid Daddies drill sent her flying through the air and, with a resounding crash, she hit a window with the lovely view of the ocean outside, right next to an abandoned Cosmetic Surgery office. The windows made were reinforced, pressure resistant glass, thick enough to take a grenade blast without a scratch. Allison hit the window with enough force to crack it, and then slumped to the floor. There was a intense flash of white in her head and, for a moment she was strapped to a table, staring up at a bright light as masked figures stood over her. Then the moment passed and she was back in the present, slumped the the base of a cracked and leaking window. The world was spinning and ass she tried to push herself up to stand, she felt a lancing pain through her arm. She raised her arm up so that she could see what was wrong and found it hanging limply, the bone snapped clean in half by the impact of the drill.

Gamma was about to squeeze the trigger of his rivet gun when the big daddy stomped down on the ground, rattling Gamma, causing him to pull the trigger, sending a bolt into the wall. Alerted, the big sister turned to Gamma, letting out an tinnitus inducing shriek, and with a gesture, she hurled a disused wheelchair towards Gamma. He jerked back to avoid the projectile, a moment too late, and the wheelchair glanced off of Gamma's helmeted head. Gamma was knocked over by the blow, his rivet gun flying from his grip as he stumbled. Gamma landed on his side with a resounding thump, his head ringing and his vision reeling. Gamma dragged himself into a kneeling position, and stood unsteadily, his head still spinning from the blow. Gamma swung his head around, looking for the rivet gun, but instead saw the little sister unguarded, the big sister slumped over by a cosmetic clinic. The big daddy had turned its attention towards Gamma, it's drill revving.

Gamma was not ready for this fight, and while he didn't know how wounded the big sister was, he didn't like his odds against her or the little sister's protector, especially in his possible concussed state. Gamma had very few options; the big daddy stood between him and the medical pavilion, and returning to the Atlantic Express would simply trap him in the train station. The only other exit was the cosmetic clinic where the big sister was starting to pick herself up. Gamma made his decision just as the bouncer started to rush towards him. Gamma burst forward, barely avoiding being impaled by a drill, and made for the clinic doors, scooping up the little sister as he ran. While Gamma knew this would incite only further wrath from the big daddy, he didn't want to simply leave the girl, for fear that the big sister would take her, as Gamma did not know what the shrieking monster planned to do the with girl.

Gamma ran past the big sister, who was holding up her visibly shattered arm, and burst through the doors of the clinic. Gamma found himself in the midst of a group of humans dressed with strange, out of place clothes, and armed with strange, out of place weapons. And a splicer.

Valentin enjoyed the duel of the robots, letting out slight cheers for the big daddy - not that he knew their name. “Raaaah.. hit him!” he whispered slightly too hard for comfort as the big robot guy managed to avoid the drill that the other slung for him, the drill making a loud and uncomfortable noise. But then something.. strange and out of place happened. The doors got ripped from their sliding zones, and simply burst open. It was almost like a cartoon, the way the doors got shredded. “What the.. wait, weren't they fighting for that girl? And... did he just bring it in here?” Valentin said slowly, rising up and standing straight as he looked at the big giant robot.

He wasn't being smart but his curiosity got the better of him as he approached the big robot with no mind to the threat it might be, looking at the robot with big eyes. He looked at it's drill, even going as far to stick out a finger and tap on it, completely forgetting that they were in fact in imminent danger. “Hoy, robot man. Who's that girl and why are you fighting over her?” he asked him, not knowing that the best the big daddy could ever do was.. produce ship-horn like sounds. Not to say that anyone in this facility had opted to talk to the group normally, rather than shooting bullets their way.

“Oh. Should we not.. run? I mean, those other robots looked pretty mean. 'cept the big guy. He was pretty strong and cool. Still looked mean though.” Valentin grinned as he slung his machine gun from his back, standing at ease, casually aiming the gun at the doorway. It was pretty inevitable they'd barge through there -- the robots might've looked strong, they also looked dumb.

As the robot burst through the door Thomas had just caught a glimpse of the third smallest robot that had been sent across the room. He was going to look away when he realized that underneath the 'head' of the robot was a girls head. This was enough to leave Thomas speechless for a moment as he looked out the window then back at the robot in front of him "Hey fellas, these things aren't robots! Their like handymen I think!" Thomas said as he stared out at the other 'robot' just barley being able to see a liquid similar to the kind that encased a Handyman's innards. "Say..." Thomas said as a devilish grin spread across his face. Quickly and without a word Thomas burst out the doors in which the first handyman like thing had come out of and made a mad dash for the recovering, drill wielding 'robot'. As Thomas got close he hoped that his powers would work on the behemoth as it's living bits would hopefully have a semblance of attraction that most living beings had towards his powers that would counteract the metal exterior of the being. Once Thomas was relatively close he threw his broadsiders pistol in the air and leapt from the body he currently inhabited only to catch the gun once more in his ghostly form and then shoulder straight at the behemoth of metal and man. The deep sea handyman was beginning to get more aware of what was happening so Thomas knew if this didn't work he would likely get a side full of drill but luckily with great effort Thomas entered the creature and began the process of taking over the creatures mind. This was fairly easily accomplished which was a relief as getting through the deep sea Handyman's armour had taken a toll on Thomas but it was worth it when he gained full control of the Handyman like being and his light green light shone out from what Thomas had presumed to be the creatures eyes. Henry walked back towards the door while keeping his peripherals on the smaller handy man type creature that had fallen before. He felt sort of bad for the creature but it seemed hostile so he thought it would be best to avoid it. As Thomas approached he gave a thumbs up with the Handyman like creature's massive hand.

Charlotte didn’t have time to react as her Daddy swung his drill at the Big Sister. Her joy at seeing her Daddy defend her was short-lived as the Big Sister’s leg kicked her slightly to the ground. She made a huff, catching her breath. All three metal figures were a good distance from each other, Charlotte still in the middle. She looked up to her Daddy, reaching out to him in preparation for the protector to hoist the small girl on its shoulder. The Daddy emitted a low groan, facing the Big Sister who lay injured beside an old cosmetic surgery clinic.

“Daddy!” she cheered as she pulled herself to her feet, brushing her dress down. Her Daddy paid her no mind, its focus taken by the Alpha Daddy. It dashed toward it, hoping to eliminate the last threat to its charge. Before she knew it, the wind was knocked out of her once more and a sharp gasp escaped her. She felt the rough grip of the skinnier Daddy around her waist as she reached her arms out toward her infuriated protector. She let out a high, blood curdling scream, one that only a child could make, as she tried to thrash about. She could hear her protector bellowed in extreme aggression at the other Daddy. Charlotte tried to kick her feet in hope of landing a blow at her abductor but the way it carried her made it difficult. She was practically dangling off its arm. “Let me go! Let me go!” she screamed. The skinny Daddy didn’t seem to notice, running unsuspectingly near the injured Big Sister and through the doors of the clinic. Her scream intensified when unfamiliar faces appeared on the other side of the door only to be eased when she noticed they weren’t like the others. Her vision blurred with shock but she could tell that these were the usual human inhabitants of the city. They didn’t look crazy and they lacked usual ADAM-abusing features. There was a woman and a few men, all wearing very nice clothes. Looking at the men, she noticed one with light facial hair. Her eyes narrowed but quickly grew wide open.

“Papa?” she questioned. A smile had stretched across her face in excitement as she began to thrash about in the Big Daddy’s grasp once more. She looked over the man more carefully and as she did so she came to the realization that it was not her father. He didn’t even sound like him as he spoke to her abductor. She could feel her eyes swell up with tears as her thrashing became more erratic. “Let me go!” she demanded again. “Down, down down!” She bit down on the padded arm of the Big Daddy in what she knew to be a futile effort of escaping. Before she could make another attempt at freeing herself a splicer she had not noticed brushed past her. She followed, wide eyed, and turned to look out a shattered window just in time to see a green mist enter her protector.

“NO!” She screamed. She watched as her protector moaned in frustration as it tried to fight the intruder. “No, no no! DADDY!”

It didn’t take long before her Big Daddy’s movements calmed down and the red light of his helmet slowly faded to green. The green light was different. It wasn't the usual, familiar green light Charlotte was used to.. This one was a little darker in hue, the same shade of the mist. It was in control of her protector. As the possessed Bid Daddy approached them she felt her heart sink. For the first time in years, since the separation from her parents, Charlotte felt alone. The one thing that she knew would always protect her was gone, replaced by something that…that just wasn’t him. For the first time in years, Charlotte didn’t fight to suppress her emotions and wept.

Samuel shifted uncomfortably on his heels as the Daddies fought it out over the Little Sister. He still didn't feel completely safe with the splicer standing next to him, even after Thomas announced his presence within the body of the deranged human being too hyped up on ADAM. He stood off to the side, watching through the windows with the others as the fight continued on between the three overpowered beings. Kennedy looked at Sam as Mason asked about the BDs and the Little Sister, curious herself as to why they were even fighting in the first place.

Samuel watched a few more moments and caught the Sister on the defensive for the newer series Daddy, pounding her small fists at the other. "See that one with the drill? He's bound to her, a chemical programming that makes him protect her at all costs. If he feels like she is threatened, he goes into attack mode. Looks like that one there with the rivet gun is the aggressor." He watched more, and as the Big Sister stepped in, his brows furrowed in confusion. "Now that one... I've never seen before. I guess it's possible that they developed a new type while I was in that prison. Looks like a fe-"

CRRCCHHH

Before Sam could finish his explanation, the feminine creature was flung across the room and passed right by the window where they were watching from. She hit the thick glass of the exterior wall and landed with a thud. In an instant, the older looking Big Daddy outside seemed to become startled by her sudden crashing and cracking of the glass, and he bounded off. Kennedy noted the direction he was taking, and she spun around as the doors to the room they were all in flung open. He stopped when he saw them, and Kennedy held her breath. Sam tensed up, and spoke as quietly as possible. "No one make any aggressive movement towards him... he's programmed to attack right now." Kennedy stiffened up, but the small girl that was dangling from the Alpha's arm made her presence known. She began to scream and whine, and suddenly Samuel was more concerned about he girl causing a ruckus that any of the Knights.

From the corner of her eye, Kennedy saw the splicer body that Thomas had possessed go limp and slump to the floor, and the green mist float through the air and out the door. Mere seconds later, the other robot was entering the room, with a ghoulish glow resonating from the glass of the BD. A thumbs up was given and Kennedy realized that this Thomas fellow had possessed the other robotic creature. This seemed to send the small girl into a frantic state, her panic evident through her actions and sounds. Sam tensed up, hoping the girl did not startle the Alpha daddy into aggression with her wailing and flailing. All he could do now was hope the big guy wasn't going to run his rivet gun down all of their throats.

Allison shook her head to clear it of the dizzy fog that the Big Daddy's blow had left her in and looked up from her broken arm, cradling it against her chest, as the Alpha sprinted right past her with the Little Sister in his arms and into the abandoned surgery. As she got to her feet the Bouncer Big Daddy lumbered past her, strangely docile all of a sudden, and followed the Alpha into the surgery. She then noticed a Splicer getting to his feet, looking confused. Holding her boken arm close to her body, she leapt at the unwary Splicer, driving him to the ground and jamming the Adam needle strapped her to left, unbroken arm into the man's chest. He convuled under her as she drained the precious adam from his veins, feeling the genetic wonder drug directed into her own body. Her broken arm twisted and straightened and the fresh Adam repaired the damaged bone and tissues. In mere seconds, the shattered bone was good as new.

Allison dragged herself to her feet, panting softly. The fractured vision was annoying, causing her to see three of everything, and so she reached up and unfastened her helmet, lifting the heavy diving helmet from her head. She turned towards the abandoned surgery, dropping the dented and broken helmet to the ground next to the dead Splicer, and stumbled towards the building, from which she could hear the little girl crying. Allison kicked the broken door aside and stood, hunched unsteadily in the doorway, her lank hair hanging down over her face as she surveyed the scene before her, breathing heavily. The room was filled with strangers, but what really took her attention was the crying girl in the Alpha's arms. "Give her back..." She rasped in a voice that was rarely used for anything beyond ear piercing screeches. "Now!" She demanded, rage contorting her face. "GIVE ME BACK MY SISTER!!!"

Gamma was about to muscle through the strangely dressed group of strangers, with the struggling little sister in tow, when the splicer started shimmering green. A ghostlike figure emerged from the adam addled man, and flew out the door, straight into the back of the bouncer big daddy. Gamma stared as the beast moaned and struggled while the green thing took control of the big daddy. Gamma didn't know who these people were, but they were very clearly more than they seemed. Gamma slowly reached over his back, and attached his drill to his right arm, revving it once.

Gamma was about to barrel through the group once again, but he was cut off once more, this time by a voice behind him. "Giver her back," the big sister rasped. Gamma turned, and were his face visible, one could see the color drain from it. Her arm was completely healed, and she did not look happy. "Now!" Her face became angrier as Gamma took several steps away from the big sister and towards the group of strangers. Gamma slowly lowered the little sister to the ground, and pushed her behind him. with his off hand, hoping to keep her from being snatched by the needle wielding girl. "GIVE ME BACK MY SISTER!!!" Gamma replied with a deep roar, and charged, drill revving. If she wanted a fight, Gamma was going to give her one.
