IT's done...though, Kudos to those Players that can guess the Pawns the Gods have chosen from the College in their little game. Meet the key Gods/Goddesses of Blood Act, key players in the Blood Plotline. There will be more 'pawns' with each God post, since the game is just beginning and bets being placed.

I'll need to reread it in the morning, because keeping my eyes open is a feat right now.

How dare you! Xiah's a lady, she doesn't 'bitch'! She just makes her pet peeves known, keeping her composure and beauty untouched. Nobody's more perfect than Xiah, except maybe Coco, just because she smells like chocolate. :p

Oh it's not hard to guess. Aarem's was actually forced upon by Ren because of what happened the last time. it turns Gods/Goddesses don't like it when one God manipulates his pawn to kill the others in a mission. :p

Here's a OOC hint: Aarem's pawn feels the God's power usually on a daily basis.

They are childish, there's no doubt and they can be asses to mortals yet...well, you'll have to wait until the Acts progress to see. *evil GM laugh from the darkness*

Lucius Cypher said
You could always try for runes and such too, but then you'd have to be reliant on an object instead of your abilities. I'd say more, but I don't know how Fallen plans to create Anti-Psychomancy Runes.

I tend to remember how hard it is to get a PC to be in IC, thus the runes are an option for those who PCs tend to be rather stubborn and at least need some protection until Players can figure out how to solve that problem. Whether the Players tend to keep that form of protect or chose to find a way IC of making it possible for their PCs to take the WCs (Warding Classes) is up the Players. Like with the Bloods, it has its strengths and weaknesses that all 3 GMs can play off of.

Also, keep in mind that the higher level Psychomancy effects resulting in changing any PC’s mind aren’t instant- from what I understood between Lucius and his write up-take time to be fully affective. During that point, they are vulnerable to attack when their foe realizes what they are doing and can end up having their focus split between dodging to avoid an early grave and maintaining that effect. Like with any blood, doing multiple things at one time drains a lot of blood in long durations. Even a master vitamancer would have trouble healing self and others while remaining on the offensive because both the split focus and multitasking. It’s one of the Blood’s few laws (right now the 3 at the top of my mind) about magic, though they aren’t listed anywhere (might later on when the list is complete), I refer to them often in my explanations sometimes:

1. Multitasking (this means doing 3 and more completely different things within the blood limits at once, not many targets though there are exceptions.) and split focus drains blood faster, even at a master level.
2. Actions that require the continuous use of a blood to obtain a desired affect will slowly drains blood throughout the whole battle and can take a heavy toll in lengthy ones, leaving the mage either exhausted to an extreme point or dead.
3. Dual magic is possibly and useful when covering the weakness of one class with the strengths of another. However a master of two different classes within the same blood (or in Uicle’s special case) is weaker than one that dubs mainly in only class due to the fact power is divided between the two classes for a dual mage, unlike a single class mage who’s complete power is limited within that area. This is mostly demonstrated when both mages clash with the same class as the attack of the dual mage will be notably weaker than the other in any attempts to cancel each other’s attacks out.

To be honest, Leon, there’s a few ways to ward off Psychomancy. I’ll start with the Runes then move over to the others which are sadly beyond mortal and rarer forms of protection. (AKA GM decision and IC deliverance/gained only.)
Alright Runes:
Out of the ancient magic, Rune’s is closest to being like the Arcanite mageblood. That’s why it’s got a wide range of abilities that aren’t accessible by other magic, but at a high price. Namely a few of its flaws are…

1. Danger of overheating from constant use. (depending on the magic and its strength can range from continual day and night to several times without a break)
2. The fact that the effects can been nulled by physical and some magical attacks, damaging it. Even when the damage inflicts is small like a chip or crack as well as self-inflicted.
3. The smaller the rune, the more limited the effect and likely focused on place/person.
4. Sometimes can be finicky, even the best and mastery runes, when the effects are stretched beyond their limits or in overheated mode.

Val will be creating these Anti-Psychomancy Runes upon being asked IC or before mages head off to missions, which they either return them or keep said rune. Now before any of the mages in this blood worry about their Blood being useless against anyone wearing these, don’t. These runes are designed to protect from key aspects of Psychomancy and only triggered by those said aspects which If anyone is curious how then I can go into greater depth over it. (Damn it Lucius, you’re spreading…) The defense is likely different then the WC because they redirect the mage’s arcanite magic into the Rune itself, where the mage will find a fun old mental maze/puzzle which they can either fruitlessly explore/try to solve or chose to exit out without a problem. Even for a master Psychomancer the Rune’s defenses are rather frustrating as it defends against /redirects the magic influence related to those key powers-each ability with each class has its own arcanite signature allowing Runes to be more specific in what they prevent/allow/do- of Psychomancy into the Rune, rather than affect either mages’ mind at all.

The second prevention is Divinity interference or result. God (or minor Goddesses) made items is extremely rare outside Plotline and while they are powerful there are extreme flaws to them. Depending on who made them then they can enhance or cancel out key blood classes, including the users own. Duuri is the Goddess of Psychomancy and anything she either blesses (good luck since you would have better luck finding a God item then this and it’s more of a curse then a blessing, Goddess of Insanity so it can’t be helped)or creates affects Psychomancy. Though usually each time the user relies on it, they risk suffering from one of her worshiped areas: Insanity; Mental illnesses; Cripples (Bodily or mentally).

Some areas within Tiien, like Craggville (unless you’re a Noxomancer), can prevent/warp the uses any sort of magic while you’re in them. A fact that messes up many mages who’s source way to fight is magic since it can dampen the power or increase it, even sometimes making them backlash on their owners. :p Once you step out of range, the arcanite starts to work normally an the magic is at your normal levels. I’m tempted to make Midnight Island being a sort of a mine field with a wide range of fields which can randomly flux your mageblood’s power to either powerful or weak levels, canceling it out or turning it upon the mage themselves, all depending on where you’re standing in said mine field. :p

On a side, funny note: I’m rather surprised no one attempted to swipe Val’s teleport rune as it current was sitting upon the table, unguarded. XD Not that there wasn't a nice little surprise if that had happened since no one knows how to use that rune properly. (Slightly different than other runes as it requires you to visualize where you want to go. :p)

Behold, new character!
"BADDEST MOTHERFUCKER APPEARS!! AN HERO?! OR AN VILLAIN?!"

UserName: Freeshooter92

Character name: Grey Onyx

Age: Appears to be in his late twenties. (About nineteen in reality, but is about as mature as a thirty year-old)

Mageblood type: Ancient

Favoured Magic Class: Rune Crafting

Previous Magic training: Absolutely none. Is completely unaware of his power.

Race: Appears human. (Extremely Advanced Flesh Golem)

Appearance: Grey stands at an impressive (For his supposed race) 6 feet and 3 inches of height. However, it is his height combined with his muscular build that renders him so intimidating. He has short black hair that contrasts with his pale-ish skin tone, and strong features. His right eye appears to be missing, and is usually covered by the ubiquitous eye-patch. His other Eye is a deep violet color for some reason, and the right side of his face is covered in various scars (When asked about the scars, he usually replies that he's had them for as long as he can remember). Internally, his bones and various organs are covered in Runes, though their function is unknown, save that they probably keep him alive. Inside his rib cage, there appears to be a strange sort of crystalline growth, it's purpose unknown. Though if one were to touch it, it would cause him extreme pain.

He carries a set of heavy steel plate, which is unremarkable save the Djarkel emblem on the chest which has been filed/burned off. He carries a Steel Axe and a Steel Shield as well.

Short Bio: Not much is known about this man, save he seems extremely durable, able to survive things that would fairly easily kill ordinary men. He hails from a Djarkel village known as Blacklight, which was constructed from the remains of a military base that was partially destroyed by some sort of vortex. Recently, he has found work as a bodyguard, and is once again looking for employment after the unfortunate demise of his most recent client, which was killed by a heart attack (Get it? Heart attack? Cause she was a vampire? ha... In any event, she had it coming). Has garnered a reputation for his hatred of vampires, and does a bit of work as an armorer on the side.

Good Attributes:
Perfect body: Grey is physically perfect. Though not superhuman, he is fast, strong, and durable. His armor and size impede his agility however.
Good Soul: Grey is a fairly Altruisitic fellow, concerned for the wellbeing and protection of others.
Adept Armorer: Grey is a fairly good blacksmith, and is capable of forging a few weapons, but his true skills lie with forging armor.
Bladesman: Grey has mastered Axemanship.
Shield Brother: Grey has also mastered the shield.
Resolute: Grey is extremely brave, but not rash. He will never back down. Exceptions exist...
Indomitable: Though means that would kill normal men will still render him unconscious (Such as puncturing a lung or crushing a heart), Grey has a mild regenerative property that can keep him alive long enough to receive medical attention, and might potentially allow him to survive without it. However, this regenerative effect is too slow to influence combat, save that his blood clots very quickly, ensuring he doesn't bleed out. aside from this, he is simply harder to kill in general, given that he can just shrug off weaker blows. In addition, his pain tolerance is legendary. There are limits however, and he is nowhere near invincible.

Bad Attributes:
Large frame: Grey is a big guy, this means he is a big target, and less agile.
Sucker: Grey is quite Naive and easily deceived. He's far too quick to trust, and that gets him into all kinds of trouble.
Achilles heart: The 'Crystal Heart' in the center of his body is his greatest weakness. if it were to be damaged, he would die without immediate attention, as it contains his soul. In addition, if they know to do so, necromancers are capable of controlling him, by completing the bonding ritual. This ritual can bind him to a necromancer's will, forcing him to follow their commands. They can discover that the binding ritual is incomplete by way of studying the crystal heart over the course of about three days time. The ritual takes about six hours.
Goody two-shoes: Grey's kind heart coupled with his naivete render him prone to making fairly stupid decisions. He will not allow himself to stand by when someone's in need (Or is made to think someone's in need).
Cyclops: Though he seems remarkable able to cope, Grey's depth perception is terrible at a distance. His 'range' of unimpeded vision is about 30 feet.
They won't hurt me, they won't...: Grey is extremely paranoid of the inhuman or unnatural. The less human something looks, the less comfortable he feels around them. However, it is possible to work through this with certain species if he is shown there is nothing to fear. He has seen enough Eysires to be unfazed by them, and Elves or dwarves never bothered him. However, things like Naga or Foreas would certainly apply. It should be known this stems entirely from fear, not hatred. While he'll do anything he can to avoid them, he's not a 'torches and pitchforks' kind of guy. Unless you happen to be a vampire.
Monster! You don't belong in this world!: Grey abhors vampires, and unless a convincing enough argument is given (remember, he's gullible but less so with vampires), he will attempt to kill them. Either out of punishment for their evil ways, or as a way to release them from their curse, depending on the person. He just does not believe that a creature that must constantly (more or less) eat people can possibly not be evil. However, this most likely stems from the fact that vampires have fooled him in the past, and gone on to slaughter more people once he had spared them. Someone reasonable like Khan would no doubt be able to convince him to leave the vampires of the college unharmed.
Complex: Grey's internal organs are arranged differently from a human's, in addition he has a redundant nervous system and his internals are covered in runes. While other runes may work to repair the damaged runes inside him, if enough runes are destroyed his healing is rendered completely worthless. In addition, he is much harder to heal by outside means, as the complexity of his body renders him very difficult to be healed by Vitamancy (Harmful Vitamancy effects are just as powerful on him), in addition, a Rune Crafter as well as a Vitamancer is required if heavy damage is to be healed. It is imperative that if a limb is lost, it is recovered, for it may be impossible for anyone to replicate a new one, rather than attach it. And finally, his missing eye may never be healed.
