Good news is, she doesn't actually use vitamancy on other people. She just uses it to enhance herself. (Which is why she outstripped Grey so easily.)

Though I can't promise, Free, Mar won't be distrusting and upset with Grey. She did expect him to protect Althalus, which eased her worry, and in her mind he turned his back on her 'mate'. I thought I might warn he could be hissed at after this and possibly chewed out IC so you don't think it was anything personal. XD Me, I'm meh as Rtron explained the strategic reasoning for it though I didn't think it was IC for Grey to turn his back on an ally instead of providing cover from the enemy, seems I was wrong a bit. >_>

Grey has... issues adapting to a changing battlefield, and especially when something doesn't go according to plan. especially when orders are (to him anyway) ignored for no reason. As a Golem, Grey is very obedient. He cannot even fathom disobeying orders, and the fact that there was tactical reasoning only strengthened his resolve to 'restore order'. He also thinks Athalus is a dirty coward, and was counting on him to sprint away, not (reasonably I may add) sit mostly still in shock. He has basically misjudged everything.

Althalus normally would have ran for his life(because when the guy who attracts all the attacks leaves, you leave too!). But since he's seen wild Mages before(his brother and his brother's goons, not to mention the Kid), and the fact that he had missed when he shouldn't have, made him twitchy and mistrusting, uncertain what to do.

And we all saw what happened then. XD

Decapitation tends to take people out rather easily. I would say that Lucilia might have given Grey a trick up his sleeve, but than i remembered that those runes were actually removed. A pity really. though if you want my advice, fight fire with fire: Get yourself caught in a 2 versus 1 situation and get the fire guy to kill the regenerating elf. You may need to be on fire for this to happen. not my best plan, but Grey is more likely to survive it than anyone else is.

This is an idea I can get behind a lot though him being alone might not be for long. Recall, Free, when I said the choices of a Player can influence the rp? One of Grey's is about to do that...

When the elf comes in and tries to do her bite-bite trick, Grey grabs her neck, walks over to the fire guy while getting roasted, roasting the elf chick at the same time, and than cuts off her head. And than he'll cut off the mage guy's head. Maybe too simplified, but that's the basic premises. Feel free to spice it up Grey style. And of course the others can help however they can as well. Leith still has his magic hand he could use to crush the elf's windpipe like a cracker, Athalus only needs one hand to shoot his crossbow, and Mar has one of Tyrael's Scythes. Who knows what sort of shenanigans went into making it, which may make strange things happen.

And if all else fails, Grey has an AXE! That's all the thinking he needs.

Two things.

Firstly: Grey is not swinging the axe at her, he's trying to club her with the handle. That's usually how he opens fights. Stun with a knee to the stomach and a concussive blow to the head, finish with blade at his leisure. If the knee misses, he does NOT strike with the axe, and will instead evade or block with the shield.

Second: Even if he did try a normal swipe, he would miss. He wields his axe with a very high grip, a little more than halfway up the haft. This exchanges reach for power.

Grey couldn't have possibly hit her with that attack.
