He is convinced they are overreacting, and he feels they'll do something rash. That, and he can't help to be so overprotective, since he's bound to her he is unable to willingly leave her undefended if he's in the area and there's a perceived 'threat'. That, and he distrusts Psychomancers on principle.

I will say that was a bad idea but it is well within your capabilities. or in other words, that's good, you don't need to change anything.

The more I think about it, the more I think I made a mistake in what Ssarak would actually do. He's more patient than I. But, I don't want to go and change it now, as that would seem far too much like just responding to meta-knowledge.

Edit: He didn't do anything particularly bad, and I don't care if Grey is mad. I just think Ssarak would be more patient than me.

Post is up, and kids say the darnest things don't they? :p And yes, Free she's likely heard Alaira use it a few times but hasn't been really interested in learning about it until recently and any attempts she made to the other psychomancer students were side stepped smartly.

The Roc flew up, with Arc on it, and Colette shot and killed it. Aramir, Liam and Auriel went up the plateau, attached various herbivores to the carts, and are getting ready to leave.
