Adelisa gulped slightly at the man, but kept her composure. "I do have good news, but it could be bad news if this does not go right." She tossed the pay phone on the ground, making sure it was a light toss so it would just skid to a stop in front of the head. "I know she is alive. She does not have much time, but she is alive. His name is Theo and he is the head of a rogue family named Blod. He is determined to kill off all the families and rule over all vampires..." She closed her eyes and said "how I know this is because he is the man that turned me and kept me as a slave in his home." She open her eyes, them showing her blazing hatred toward her "master". "He has Maria, if you could not infer from this. He does not want her, though. He wants your head on a stick." She glanced at the few men in the bar and stiffened. She hated bar men. They were nothing but trouble in her eyes. She soon glanced back at the head Blackmoore and shrugged. "Though, my warnings have gone unheeded before by you Blackmoores, so I will not be surprised if my knowledge goes untouched as well."

The doorbell. Mirabelle looked to Praetor. Part of her knew she should allow her elder and bodyguard to answer it, but her pride swelled. The Blackmoores were at her door to accuse her of wrongdoing, and she couldn't just stand for it. So, instead of allowing him to step in for her, she stepped out the den and through the kitchen toward the door. But her sire knew her too well, and quickly stepped passed her. "You were going to bed," she hissed. "I heard the door," Klaus stated, angling himself between her and the opening as he opened the door. He greeted the vampire before him with a smile, though a tense one. This one was old--older than himself. Though she was turned much younger. "How can we help you?" Mirabelle's glare on Klaus softened as she looked to he ancient before them. Then she was suddenly comforted by Praetor's and Klaus' presences.

She rolled her eyes and said "well, this quote on quote 'sob story' effects your precious little pawn, so I would let the girl who is trying to catch you up on what is going on continue before she walks out of here and you'll never see your little 'Maria' ever again." Her anger spiked with the added anxiety of mostly men being in the bar, noticing them stand and come closer to the "threat", though Adelisa was anything but. She glared her blue eyes at the head with a steady, angry vigor. "You do not have to think of it as a sob story. Fact or not, this information may help you get Maria out of there." She cleared her throat to continue. "This pay phone was used to call me where I was staying, a newly burned down shack curtesy of Theo's rogues hence why I came so urgently, and he called me. He said to come back to him and he will replace me with Maria, though I knew he was lying. He isn't a good liar, though he thinks he is. He wants you and your rival head to meet him also. He wants to isolate hold the only person who can tell you of his intentions in his hands so you are blind sided." She looked down at the phone and said "I can only follow his scent to where he is. Of course he would make something only I would know." She ran a grubby hand through her matted hair and smirked slightly as to why she was so dirty. Fighting a group of rogues in the dirt could do that to a girl. She shook out of her thoughts, knowing her zoning out was a sign of dejection, and looked back up at the head Blackmoore. "Meaning, you'll want to team up with the Kingstons and a rogue to rescue one of your own, Mr. Alistair." A small smirk appeared on her lips, but quickly left when she remembered the situation.

Praetor followed Mira and by extension Klaus, as the door open he took up his post just behind Mira, enough to pull her to safety and take the blow but also far back enough to show who was in charge. He remembered doing this long ago when he and Ceaser took Rome, he the faithful guard him the Divine Emperor. He almost smiled at the thought then he sharpened back to reality, standing here before him was a young girl, yet he could she was older than he was. He gave her a welcoming nod, however to her this showed a small scar, one no one else would notice but she would. Just under the chin is a small scar, Roman helmet chinstraps always leave it if they aren't perfectly fitted. Praetor looked right at this young woman and bowed, common curiosity respecting older vampires and all. "Miss Mira, perhaps we should invite the young women in. Milady, she is older than I or Klaus thus I think she perhaps here for another reason other than to accuse you." He looked at her again, the features on her reminded him of time past the wall, of that terrible day. He had never seen so many Vampire in one place before or since then, he still didn't know his sire it had always been a question of his.

Adelisa nodded slightly, curiosity enveloped her as she said "well, we should wait until sun down. Your men and women would probably appreciate that too." She looked over at the clock and that's when it hit her: where was she going to go? She no longer had her little shack let along the money she had or her mother's things. She had nothing and no where. She knew that that was his plan. She knew he was setting her up to fail. "You are quite lucky, Mr. Alastair. Quite lucky indeed" she murmured to herself. Then she glanced at Alastair for a moment and grinned slightly. "I'm surprised you haven't reacted to how I know of you and your rivals." She looked him over, his clean clothes and nicely trimmed hair showed all signs of living lavishly. In fact, she noticed everyone who worked under him lived quite fortunate. "Extremely lucky" she whispered under her breath as she looked around the bar. She felt like a dirty sock in this place, but she didn't mind. She scratched at her cheek that marred dried blood and flaking skin, showing how fast it healed and the mark it left behind on her. She knew she wasn't going to get used to helping a family that actually survived long enough to take in her warning, but it was a stretch.

Mirabelle waited for Klaus' declaration of "I'm not a Kingston" when the woman at the door excluded him herself. "We strive for hospitality, even when things are...tense," she said, her tone even though low. "Acting brash will only cause more trouble." She stepped forward to take the door from her sire and open it further. The woman explained her reasons for being here, and Mirabelle looked her up and down, confirming for herself that this vampire carried no weapons. Not that she'd need them. Praetor was right, however. Denying the not-Blackmoore could lead to only more issues. And she was outnumbered in the Kingston home. "Yes, come in," she said, stepping aside. "Are you thirsty? We keep blood if you'd like a bag."

Trixy headed as far from that abandoned building as she could, as if she could run from her failure. With a deep and a loud exhale, Trixy pulled out her phone. Alistair's name was one of the first names in her contacts, naturally. Her finger paused over the call button briefly as she tried to prepare her words, what could she really say to make this seem any better than it was? Beatrix shook her head and firmly pressed the call button before placing the phone against her ear. The phone rung for approximately half a millisecond before Alistair answered, his voice was low but laced with a hint of excitement. His hopefulness in her abilities only made her feel worse. "We... we need to talk. Où ètes-vous?" she asked him quickly, slipping into her native language out of nervousness. When he answered with "The Tortuga" she told him that she was on her way, easy enough since she was only minutes away via rooftop travel.

The Blackmoore wasted no time getting out of the area. The scent was not as powerful but he could still smell it. For some reason he was attracted to the smell, it reminded him of something he could not put his finger on it. After the vampire was out of sight be walked over the abandoned building and made his way inside. His foot steps and echoed and resounded throughout the building. Otto could smell the scent of the vampire all over the place, but there was no evidence of a vampire presence or prior presence. It felt like someone was here when there was not. He noticed that a wall had a very powerful scent coming from it. He noticed small specs of blood on the wall, and it was the blood of an vampire. Otto walked out of the abandoned building it his new found information. He unfortunately had no idea what it will meant, who would do that to a vampire. It could have no been a human, and the Kingstons would not want to start a war. It had to be rogues, no doubt about it. He though about going strait to the manor and telling them about his findings, but he assumed they already knew about it. Otto grabbed his cell phone and called Mira, the family head. The phone rung for few second and continued to do so. He thought of a way to present himself after being gone for so long. 5 years is a long time, and with no communication whatsoever, that would be a hard conversation.

Mirabelle blinked in some surprise; a vampire as old as this one didn't drink human blood. Then when she spoke of the missing Blackmoore--the "Pirate Wench" apparently--Mirabelle nodded in assurance. Of course the woman wasn't here; the Kingstons had no interest kidnapping a Blackmoore. That would be far too much trouble than it would ever be worth. After all, peace was ideal for Mirabelle and this ancient seemed to agree. Her lips parted to express as much, but a ringing came from her dress. Although she felt it rude to take a call when hosting a guest--especially Morven--times were tense and very few had Mirabelle's number. "I'm very sorry, but I need to take this. Praetor, please assure..." her voice trailed off as she realized she didn't know this one's name. Another ring. "Please assure our guest that we have similar goals." And with that, Mirabelle turned away to answer her phone as she retreated upstairs. "Hello?" she answered. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Klaus remained quiet, scowling. Admittedly, he had quickly grown fascinated with the woman before them. As old as himself--perhaps older--and she stuck to animal blood? If it wasn't humans, it was typically other vampires at that age. Then she asked for co-existence between the families, furthering his frown. In his opinion, the parties should have disbanded a long time ago. Still, he only watched as Mirabelle was stolen away by the phone, and his gaze shifted to Praetor expectantly. Of course, thoughts of how much he hated the Roman surfaced, but he managed to pay attention past that.

Otto's apprehension grew as he heard each ringing tone. What was going on? We're they at war? And they were at were, why did not one tell him. All these were questions he wanted answers to. "Hello." said the the familiar voice of Mira. Otto took a deep breath and out on a smile. "Well hello there Mira, you remember me, family member, Otto." He said scratching his head. "Umm, what exactly is going on, someone has spilled the blood of a vampire in this abandoned building here?" he said with an edge in his voice. He was gone for 5 years and war looked like war was already on the horizon. Otto new that New York did not need a war of the vampires on there hands.

"Otto!" Mirabelle gasped, her smile heard over the phone. She glanced back at the stairs before closing her bedroom door. "Of course I remember you." He asked what was going on and her eyebrows furrowed together. She ignored the initial suspicion that started to settle in, the nagging in her mind asking where exactly Otto had gone for the last five years? And why was he back now? "It appears that the Blackmoores are having issues with rogues," she answered. "They probably shed that blood looking for one of their missing members. You should come to the manor," she added quickly. "The streets aren't safe for a Blackmoore nor Kingston right now."

Adelisa rolled her eyes at his joke and giggled softly, not taking any offense to the joke. "If only you knew. Let's just say, you were not the only one having a go at some rogues." She stood to her feet and nodded. "I hope that my doing so wouldn't be a bad gesture on my part, but as you can tell I'll take what I can get." She did a little mock curtsey and said "pleasure doing business with you, sir" before following a woman guiding her to the bathroom upstairs. As she climbed the stairs she heard the woman say "do you have any clothes with you?" Adelisa almost giggled at that, but shook her head instead. "No, my clothes are gone. These are the only things I have left." The woman nodded and said "well, since you are helping Sir Alistair, I think I can give you something of mine. Do you like dresses?" Adelisa laughed. Hard. The waitress smiled and said "well, that answered my question. I'll just give you some jeans and a t-shirt." Adelisa slowly stopped laughing and said softly "thank you." The waitress shook her head and said "do not get used to it. Once this is over with, you will not come back. Expect it." Adelisa smiled wider. "Trust me, I do expect it." The woman gave her a weird look as they stopped in the hallway in front of a door, the waitress opening it. Adelisa entered the bathroom and shut the door, locking it out of instinct of distrust. She stripped down and turned the shower on, smiling when as the water slowly turned warm on her hand. She dared not look into the mirror. She hated mirrors. She stepped into the shower with a soft smile. She looked down as the waste washed off of her, turning the water pitch black. She heard the door knob move and she heard a female voice say "I have your clothes, no need to lock the door." Adelisa stepped out and unlocked the door, quickly jumping back into the shower before the woman saw. She waited until the woman left for her wash her hair and step out. She noticed a soft blue tank top, a pair of black jeans, socks, and a towel. She looked at the tank top with wide eyes. That... exposed too much. Her arms were filled with scars, two large ones on each arm; so why would she want to wear it? I have nothing else... she thought. She slipped into the clothes with hesitance and then looked into the mirror. Her hair, unable to be cut, went all the way down to the lower parts of her thighs, was shiny and clean. Her skin was clear of dirt and her scars litered her pale skin. She sighed defeatedly.

Otto smiled at Mira's reaction. To his surprise, she was happy about his return to New York. He listed attentively to Mira's quick but informative explanation to the situation at hand. Apparently the Blackmoore were having some problems with...rogues. Rouges of all things, he though they were a fairly strong family, but he was wrong. A lot had changed in a few years, well, if the family head wanted him back home then he us come back home. "I understand, I'll be there in...about 5 minutes." He said with a hint of worry in his voice, this was already stressing him out.

It wasn't long before Béatrix arrived at The Tortuga. The vampire guards at the door nodded as she walked in and the taller one spoke up. "Mornin' Madame de la Croix, Sir Alistair just went in the back room." "Thank you, Vincent." she said with a smile, trying her best not to sound cold and harsh; He wasn't the reason for her ire, after all. Trixy walked passed the bar, taking in the scent of fresh blood, alcohol, and plastic. She winced, Alistair resorting to bagged blood was a good indicator of just the mood he was in. Without a second thought, Trixy unsheathed her dagger and cut a gash deep into her palm. Dark blood oozed from the wound as she held it above a red wine goblet. Béatrix put her dagger back against her thigh and walked towards the back room, Maria's bloodied dress in one hand and her own personal offering in the other. Trixy leaned her shoulder against the door frame and watched Alistair as he rummaged through clothing. He turned to face her, worry and agitation marring his handsome face. Béatrix looked towards the floor as she walked toward him, clutching the dress in her fist. She held out the goblet of her blood to him "I can't have you drinking bagged blood on a night like tonight, plus, I know you've always wanted to try me." she said with a flirtatious smile, but the humor fell flat even to her own ears. Béatrix looked down at the dress again and frowned. "I tried, the false trail, I just..." her Old French accent thickly coated her words before she looked up at him. For the first time in a long time, the blue in her eyes wasn't harsh in any way, it was soft and warm and inviting as she prepared to offer him three words that she hadn't said in centuries. "I..." For the first time in over 500 years, Béatrix de la Croix nervously trembled before a man.

Mithias took a few steps, revealing himself from around the corner as he looked at Morven. She was somehow vaguely familiar. He listened to theconversation about Maria being captured and how Morven said Mira might be next.

Praetor turned to Morven, leading her towards the kitchen. "I understand your desire for peace, humans should not have to deal with the deaths and pains us vampires thrust upon them. How about a cup of tea and honey? A old friend in Wales just sent me some." I might not of seemed it but he enjoyed the female vampires company, he liked being around other ancients like himself, excluding Klaus, due to both of them really not liking each other. "Miss Morven I would like to ask, when where you turned? And where, you remind of a place I spent much time in." He of course spoke of his time past Hadrians wall. Praetor took a seat in the kitchen, looking outside he almost wished to go sadly he couldn't return home nor to his students. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair taking off his glasses placing them back in his jacket pocket. He would have to tell his students he would not be in nor could he do tutoring.
