Did you have the human soldiers abandon the diplomats, Lucius? They all ran into the same hall, so the humans would have had to keep going to get away from everyone.

The way I imagined it was that my ambassador took most of the human soldiers with her shortly after shit hit the fan and left fast. Donny and his crew stayed behind to exchange fire and got into contact with Cactus and the Cabalist. After some quick decision making Donny was left behind while the other caught up with the ambassador and her soldiers.

So yes in a sense they did get away from the diplomats as fast as they could, likely running into some trouble along the way. However the soldiers are still with the Ambassador Eleanore, and getting her to safety is top priority. They just need everyone else's help to ensure that.

Hmm, that's probably not going to sit well with most of the surviving diplomats. You had the Humans provide most of the security, so having them abandon the other diplomats in favor of saving their own ambassador will not sit well politically. Should be interesting.

They were? I was under the impression that Eleanore simply brought the biggest amount with her; if she was suppose to provide security she would have brought a whole lot more. Granted it's not like we expected this to happen, but still, not Eleanore's fault she was paranoid enough to bring her own guardsmen instead of relying on local security. It would be fun to see the political turn out from this though.

As I mentioned before, both sides agreed to a certain, limited amount of security (obviously, the enemy managed to sneak more onboard). Since they could only bring so much, the number that Eleanore brought would mean that, by default, the humans were providing most of the security.

Ah, I get ya. Hmm, quite a conundrum. Well truth be told Eleanore wouldn't really risk her hide for the other diplomats, but I suppose once she's out of the immediate danger she could be convinced to offer some of her soldiers to try and rescue the others. As self-serving as it is, being captured or dead with the other diplomats doesn't really help their situation much. Though I'm debating if she would try to muster some sort of effort to recapture the station, or just get the hell out of dodge and let the turians take care of their own matters... I guess it really depends on how we deal with her when we find her.

Also just for future reference, the shuttle they take can handle a orbital reentry, right? Cause I doubt the Charlotte is close enough for the shuttle to go to them, and I'm somewhat certain it'd be safer to land on the colony than risk getting captured by going to other ships for help.

Most ships in ME are capable of re-entry, I believe.

Righto, just wanted to make sure. I was reading the Space Friction trope and musing to myself what the shuttle has to do or what technology they'd need to not turn into a crispy coffin as it tries to enter the planet's atmosphere. It also made me think of a space battle situation where, if for some reason Donny gets pushed into a space fighter despite barely having the license to operate a motor vehicle, one of his tactics would essentially to coast on inertia and maneuver his ship like rotatory turret, thrusting off only for evasive maneuvers.

Yeah you did just unknowingly take probably half of the combatants that the Council species had. Not to mention we have an injured Turian aswell. Not to mention that the hangers are probably heavily guarded. :/ Trying to get a call out to the Turian Crusier is still viable I suppose.

Posted! Sorry if I make it seem like Donny is forcing the plot along, it's just that talking isn't a free action and 5 minutes can fly by when you're trying to be strategics. I'd like to say the attack would occur once we get there, but I don't know that and had Donny act accordingly. Fog of War and all that.

As I had Avatar mention in IC, I would strongly recommend not having anyone split up, mostly because it does kind of defeat the purpose of introducing a choice between helping the humans or not if we can just take both options. Whatever choice we take, everyone needs to take it together, as there is no way to keep the civilians out of a firefight. Enemies are everywhere.

I'm fairly certain that as far as Player Characters go, we're all going to try to go help the humans. Whether or not we get all the cabalist or not is CQBexpt's decision now.

Yes, it would be cqb's decision, so you should probably edit it out of your last post that they split off.

Bad part, while I might lean to saving the humans and do would Raa, getting her to fight for that option is another matter completely.

I thought I did? Though looking at it, the wording is a bit strange. Edited.
