I dont know why but it seems like the majority of arena characters are humans, why is that? There are stronger races, faster races. Dont you dare say "because humans are smarter" there are smarter races and ingenuity is often mistaken for intelligence. Is it because we're the perfect mix of those traits? Is it because we like to relate to the character we play?

I have inhuman characters. It really depends on who I am facing. Some cannot wrap their heads around non-hominid characters.

Well i yeah, some people have non-humans, and some people dont feel comfortable or cant do non-humanoids, but i just made a orc character, and like hes just as smart as a human, much stronger, and can sometimes be faster. so i was just wondering why humans, they are usually inferior against their opponents.

Why is a human slower and weaker than your Orc? What makes an Orc inherently stronger than a human? You are creating a fictional character, your character from your mythos may be stronger than a human in the same setting. But since you are not facing humans from your setting, rather an imagined warrior from another world setting, thus it doesn't necessarily make that human weaker.

Well, when i say 'humans are weaker than their opponents' i mean majority of humans. If orcs are real (we dont know if they are or arent) they would be inherently stronger(or faster) than most humans because of their size and their anatomy. Their height/ long legs make them, not really faster, but enable them to cover longer distances faster with large strides. They inherit the genes of their parents(big and bulky) making them automatically stronger if view from an even or unbiased viewpoint.

I love friendly arguments. :)

That would be so, as Skallagrim said, in their given universe. However, that's not ALWAYS the case in the human world. Larger people aren't inherently faster, for instance(See Big Show, Andre the Giant, and Great Khali).

However, even in other literature, Humans do have a substantial advantage in that they are more versatile than many of the other races. Orcs are generally considered to be slower/dumber than humans, while Elves aren't as enduring as humans. That's why humans are popular, because they don't conform to any specific traits.

I see yalls point. Humans are basically a jack of all trades, thats the jist, yes?
While they can be versatile, theyre not as good as the race that specializes in the certain trait.
Except for ingenuity, they have ingenuity :)

So, I wanted to ask; I want to give Kei'taro Evolved and Upgraded Keys. Both, as I write them, sound really similar.

This is what I have for upgraded:

Upgraded Keys, give new abilities that affect other keys. For instance, Shoot to Kill, has upgraded twice - to introduce new forms. Coil and Strike. One gives it a whip sword form, and the other reverts it back to the iconic straight sword. Another version of an upgrade would be Kei'taro earning High Level manipulation of an existing Key, for instance Uther and Swimming Bass. SB is the low to mid level manipulation of water, while Uther affords Kei'taro the High Level manipulation.

So, what would you guys suggest for 'evolved' keys? I can see Coil and Strike being considered evolutions, as they affect Kusanagi directly - as Kusanagi isn't an actual Key, but his sword. Coil and Strike change it's form between Whip and Straight. Whereas Uther is considered another key altogether, but gives stronger abilities as compared to an existing key, in this instance, Swimming Bass.

I like the upgrade key thing.

Maybe for evolved (now that im typing it, it doesnt sound lik a thing Kei would have) Kei could gain a body part. of another animal for some time? Liike if he were to have a bug key or something he could shedskin to remove status/ damage over time or he could gain pincers, etc. I dont know if that was what you were looking for, but there it is.

That bug/shed skin one could be a normal key itself.

Im thinking of making Dmitri an Insulator and/or some kind of battery that i can put in his arm so he can reflect/store electricity in his left arm and shoot it back out of his palm.

But i have no legit way to give it to him, i dont want to just slap it on him, i want there to be a way that he got it. Hmm....

Well I think I am going to make a new character, however I am truly at a loss on whether or not to explore a steam punk concept. Melon made a great steampunk clockwork man. Or explore a psionic based character.

So right now, I have this character:

I'm at a cross roads of what to do with him.

One one hand, I have him listed as a psiconic, because I've never had a psychic based character before. His abilities would include telekinesis, and the like. But again, I don't know what really goes into one.

And on the other, I've used the picture before for a Bleach RP, specifically as a Pakumato(Thanks @Hansa), which are basically Espada, except made from a Zanpakuto spirit, instead of a Shinigami, or Hollow. His abilities were that of intellect, and different types of Ceros, which in this case would be translated into energy blasts and the like.

Which do you all think would be a better/more formidable character for the Arena?
