[IC] Yugioh: The King's Shadow

Mahad picked up Yugi and Mokuba went with Mana, the group flying out of there just as the building started to come down. Joey and Tristan were laying on the ground outside, the two monsters standing by them. But as soon as the girl saw her warrior she nodded and the Guardian vanished. Yugi landed on his feet and looked at the building, then at Seto. "Kaiba, are you alright?" Mokuba ran over to Seto and hugged him, trying not to cry. "Big Brother...I was so worried about you...are you okay?"

[Jazz]

Yami had Cerberus follow the group out, still holding onto the girl as well as the beast. When out of the building, he saw Joey and Tristen who were out of breath and laying on the ground, not wanting to get up for a while. Yami saw his magician and nodded to him and he vanished after a bow of his head to the former pharaoh. When they landed, Seto got off the beast as he saw Mokuba run up to him and give him a hug. Seto kneeled so he was at Mokuba's height and hugged him back. "I'm alright. A few bruises and scratches won't keep me down." He told Yugi and Mokuba. Yami looked to the girl as he examined her side. "Yugi, could you call an ambulance? This girl is hurt and needs medical attention." He got off Cerberus once the beast had lowered itself so the two could get off. Yami then picked up the girl and set her down on, sitting as he helped her lay down so the wound wouldn't get any worse.

Yugi nodded and went to pull out his phone when the girl said "No! I mean...thank you for the concern but I can't stay long...and I can't sit in a medical bay...waiting to be stitched up when I can do it..." She fought to get up, holding her side. "The men who took Seto are still around here...I have to find them...they took something that belongs to me..." She got to her feet and pulled the hood back up. "Thank you for your help...I'm sure we will meet again..." She walked away, holding her side, towards a motorcycle parked nearby.

Mokuba looked up then said "Wait!" The girl turned and Mokuba said "Thank you for saving my brother! Can we at least know your name?" The girl looked at them then said "Serena...my name is Serena...but I'm known as the Shadow" She jumped onto the bike and rode off, vanishing down the street. Mahad looked at Yami and said "Would you like Mana and I to bring her back?" Yugi was watching where she rode off, thinking.

Serena pulled over a few miles away and slammed against a wall, breathing hard. She pulled out a cell phone and hit a speed dial and said "Adam..."

[Jazz]

Yami was take aback as she told them no. He wasn't surprised but he didn't do anything as got up and walked away to find Seto's captors. Seeing Mokuba stop her to know her name, Yami took the name to note as well as the nickname. Joey and Tristen looked to the girl with disbelief. "What?! Wait a minute! She might get herself killed out there! We gotta go after her!" Joey declared. Yami watched the girl leave as Mahad asked him if him and Mana should go after her. "No. But look after her till she makes it back to where she lodges." He asked. Seto looked to Yami with uncertainty. He had no idea what he was thinking but he always seemed to be wearing his heart on his sleeve no matter who it was. "We should get out of here. I will handle the press later. Rest would be nice." Joey had laid back down before he then raised an arm. "I like that idea. Today was very eventful within a odd amount of time." Joey said.

Mahad nodded and him and Mana vanished. Yugi nodded and said "Let's go home guys...Seto you and Mokuba can come over if you want. It won't be as busy at our place then yours" mokuba nodded and looked at Seto. "Can we Seto?"

Back at the Game Shop, Grandpa was making dinner for the group. Yugi was sitting by the back door, looking out. "Yami...do you think she's alright out there somewhere?"

Seto sighed as he nodded. "If that is alright with you're old man." Seto said as he slowly stood up. Joey and Tristen agreed to go with too.

At the Game Shop. Joey and Tristen gladly and thanked for the dinner, even willing to help with dishes. Seto and Mokuba were on the couch in the living room once they had eaten, thanking Grandpa for helping them and letting them eat with them. Yami was leaning against the wall as he was thinking, holding his Millennium Puzzle as he was thinking. Hearing Yugi's question, he turned to look to his partner. "I am sure she will be. That's why I asked Mahad and Mana to look after her till she returned to where ever she was staying." He then looked to the puzzle. "However she looked like she knew me. It's odd but pendant did look familiar. Like I have seen it before.

Yugi looked at him and said "really? I wonder why" Suddenly the puzzle glowed and Mahad and Mana appeared in a flash of light. Mahad looked around and said "My king, we sensed you were in danger" Yugi looked at the pair and siad "we're alright...nothing is happening here" Mahad looked at Mana and said "I sense danger nearby. Why hasn't it come here yet?"

Serena rolled out of the way of a fire blast, the man from the park who questioned Seto standing a few yards away with a huge snake like duel monster in front of him. Serena had her Hound by her side. She held her side which was bleeding again. The man called "Just get out of my way, Shadow...you can't protect him forever..." Serena glared and said "You won't get near anyone of my Kings court...never..."

[Jazz]

Seeing the glow, Yami looked up as Mana and Mahad appeared looking concerned. "Odd. I haven't sensed danger." This now concerned him as he pulled himself to his feet and standing tall as he headed off to their room. "Come Yugi. It maybe nearby but to the point I can't sense it." Once to the room, he opened the window and cautiously and carefully used the desk to get onto the roof. "Mahad. Where did you sense the danger. Was it here or close to?" He asked. Feeling a small breeze on his skin and through his spikey tri-colored hair. "Maybe it was close enough to believe I was but not close enough at all." He theorized. He looked around to see where this supposed danger was.

Mahad pointed north and siad "Now that I am here, I can sense the danger coming from that way. But...its feels like its not you in danger but someone close...I don';t understand..." Suddenly they saw a blast of flame in the sky and a flash of gold. "There my pharoh. There is the danger we sensed. What are you orders?"

Serena moved behind a car, pulling a card from her deck and sighing. "I can't risk you..." A voice in her ear said "Boss, just get out of here! Why are you hanging around?" Serena cursed and said "They want Seto Kaiba because of his ties to the past...if they get him, they will find the King of Shadows...I can't let that happen..." She jumped up slapped a card on her duel disk. "I call upon Anbus, the god of death!" The god of death appeared and moved in front of her, Serena falling to one knee panting.

The voice in her ear said "Please tell me you didn't summon a really strong card while you have barely any energy left?" Serena panted and said "Had to...have to protect...him..."

[Jazz]

Yami saw where Mahad pointed, and heard him as he noticed something odd. Seeing the flash of gold, Yami took note where that was before getting off the roof and into the room. "Go assist. I'll be there soon. Seto may even want payback." The former pharaoh told Mahad as he then went out of the room. "Yugi. I'll be right back. I need to check something out." He said as he grabbed his own phone and his duel disk. "I'll be out Grandpa!" He told him, going to the front door when he passed Seto who got up. "I want to come with you. Knowing you are about to get into something without some sort of plan in mind." Yami stopped as he looked to the older Kaiba. "Are you sure?" Seto scoffed a chuckle. "Bruises and scratches won't hurt me none." He grabbed his deck and duel disk. "I'll be back Mokuba." Joey and Tristen overheard and looked to the little duo. "We'll man the fort while your gone. Make sure no one comes to wreck anything and all." Joey declared. "With you on that Joey." Tristen agreed.

Mahad nodded and flew towards the battle, Mana staying behind to help protect the house. He soon was floating above the fight only a few blocks away from the house, looking down on the fight.

The man laughed and siad "impressive card, but you can't sustain him for very long." Anubus looked back at her and said "Fear not, my lady. I will not leave your side" Serena smiled weakly, her vision startng to blur. "I hope I can stay by yours...take down that Fire Snake..." The god warrior nodded and jumped up, locking sword and fang with the snake.

[Jazz]

Yami and Seto then headed out. Yami pulled out a card and summoned it. "Mythical Beast Cerberus." He summoned as the beast appeared with a small growl from the lion's head. Yami them got on as did Seto. "Go Cerberus. Head north toward the battle." And so did the beast, running as fast as he could. He knew it wouldn't take long for Seto pulled out a card. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" He summoned and so the dragon appeared from the sky and roared.

Coming close, The Blue eyes was overhead her master as she then lowered herself as Seto saw the snake and what seemed to be Anubus. "Attack Blue eyes!" And so the dragon did. It shot a lightning blast from it's mouth and targeting the snake. Once Yami and Seto were by the girl, Seto got off as did Yami. He went to the girl who was panting. "Are you alright?" Seto recognized the man and glared daggers at him. "You bastard! You will pay for torturing me and my Blue eyes will show you just how wrong you were to do so!" Seto barked with venom in his voice, and was going to prove it. "Tend to the girl Moto. I got this creep!" He told the tri-colored male.

The man smiled and said "bring it on...maybe next time I will take someone else to have a little chat with...your brother maybe?" Anubus growled and moved next to the blue eyes. "Even I know that is a low blow, mortal...shall we send him to the darkness?"

Serena was shaking, her side stained with blood. She looked up at Yami and said "you again...I must still be seeing things..." There was a ear piece in her ear yelling at her. "Boss just get out of there! You can't sustain anymore monster in your condition, you will pass out and more the likely go into a coma?" Serena pulled the earwig out and said "shut up Adam...I can't think with you yelling in my ear..."

[Jazz]

The blue eyes growled lowly as he mentioned her master's young brother. Seto growled and was furious. The blue eyes then had a lightning blast charging in her mouth before she then let it loose, attacking the snake.

Yami watched as she spoke to someone through an ear piece as well as think that she was seeing things. "Mahad. Is there anyway I can help her? I dont think she can take much more from summoning any creatures." Yami said, unknown what he could do. He knew that with all this happening that the source could let these actual summons happen. But all depended on the energy someone had.

Mahad landed by his King and said "we must end the threat so her need to summon anything will be gone. But her wound is more concerning. I would treat that before anything my king"

The snake moved out of the way of the blast but Anubis appeared out of no where and pinned the beast to the ground. "Now dragon! Release your fury!"

[Jazz]

Yami looked to the wound that was on her side and actually going to feel frustrated for he wasn't a doctor. He didnt bring a kit with him nor think he would see the girl again so soo to see that she hadn't gone to a doctor to patch up the slash wound. By now just from most experiences that it probably infected and doctor would be more suited then himself. "i don't have anything to treat it. We would have to get her home. There will be a first aid kit there. Think we could make it in time?"

The White Dragon saw that the snake dodged but was brought down to be finished off. The dragon heard Anubus as Seto was already wanting this threat gone. So powered up another blast and now shot the blast at the pinned snake. If the snake died, she then looked to the man that threatened her master with low threatening growl. "My my. My dragon doesn't seem to like you all that well." Seto mocked with a cocky tone. He knew it was over. Knew that this man was going down and knew he dragon was all willing to help him bring this man down.

The man fell on his butt, the death god warrior putting his blade at his throat. "The match is over, thief..." The man looked around and saw Yami with Serena and muttered "I guess it really doesn't matter...the darkness will come either way..." Suddenly he yelled as a flash of light came out of no where and he yelled "Please forgive me master! Give me another chance!" then the light vanishing with a blast, the man falling back his eyes rolled into the back of his head. Anubis nodded his head and vanished.

When it was over Serena gasped, holding her chest and said "Bloody...I over did it..." She fell to the side, falling against the pharaoh. Mahad landed by the Blue Eyes and nodded in greeting then went over to the man, looking him over. "Whoever he was working for is no saint...they took his soul for failing...but what was he trying to do here?"

[Jazz]

Seto too walked over to the man but only made it half way when there was a flash of light and the man pleading for his life till it was too late. The rest of him fell on the pavement. Seto them ran over to see all too familiar signs. His sould was in the shadow realm. The Blue eyes nodded in greeting to the magician and then looked to her master who was examining the man's body. "That was the same creep that kidnapped me. They wanted to know who the King of Shadows was. I told him I had no idea what the hell he was talking about. But he was very persistent to know. Though from the my guess, he was talking about Yami." Seto explained to the Dark Magician.

Yami was still with Serena as she fall against Yami who of which he caught. He noticed the ear piece on the ground and picked it up and put it in his own ear. "Is anyone there?" He asked, Picking up Serena as Cerberus laid down so Yami could the girl on its back. He hoped that whoever she was talking too was still there.

Adam said "alright you nut jobs from the past! If you don't let her go I will personally hunt you down and send you to the shadow realm myself!" Mahad looked over and said "whoever your talking to sounds very energetic. Must be related to master Joey"

Serena stirred a little, her eyes moving under the lids.

[Jazz]

Yami felt his head move to the opposite side of blast of the shouting that this man was doing that reminded him very much of Joey He was surprised that he felt he might go deaf. "Settle down. I am not going to harm her. I want to help her. I need you to listen to me." Yami said calmly, knowing he had to be calm when Joey was this energetic. "I need to know how far you are from the location of where we are. Serena is hurt and I am sure you want her just as safe as I do. She is hurt and hurt bad. Her side was slashed some hours ago after she rescued Seto Kaiba. We tried to help her once and now it has gotten worse. I am taking her to the Kame Game shop so we can dress her wounds so she may still live. I ask you to come so you may see her. Show you we mean no harm." Yami explained as he got on Cerberus. He wrapped an arm around Serena and held onto Cerberus. "Mahad. Inform Yugi and grandpa that we will need help and a first aide." He then looked to Anubus. "I will do what I can to help her." Seto then got on Cerberus as the dragon faded. Not sensing any other threat. He then took off back to the Game shop.
