Whoa okay so Adrianes last post got me thinking.

Laws of physics. Action and reaction. What goes up must come down, etc. what the Zauber team found seems to violate the laws of physics, but what if it doesn't? What if it obeys the fundamental law of conservation of energy?

In other words, they have magical abilities- the ability to channel one firm of energy into another- but it must come at a trade off. Where are they siphoning that energy from?

What if every time they used magic, they shortened their life span? For example, after a large outburst of magic, Klaus might find some gray hairs.

You can see his that'd be terrifying in the hands of the nazis- they'd be complete fine with producing an army of magically enhanced soldiers with very short life spans...

Thoughts?

It's the only way a force like this could exist in the universe

I was thinking
What if it was some sort of physical pain
Very delayed but like short but intense bouts of internal pain
Like stomach cramps or migraines
Maybe some internal bleeding??
Bc I feel like putting the human body through whatever it goes through to be able to access a higher level of functioning like that
The body wasn't made for that they didn't evolve into that
So they'd probably go through some sort of trauma
That would be delayed until it built up and hit them
But then it would just hit them and it would be so bad
Like equivalent to passing a kidney stone or birthing a child
Bc like I'm not sure I am not a doctor but pain is not real it's all in our heads and it's the body's response to say "no don't do that you're hurting yourself stop"
So it would make sense for that to be the response to this trauma
Or maybe their insides actually get fucked up
Maybe they get stomach ulcers or something idk??

It could have similar effects to extreme stress, such as after a long time the immune system gets weaker, different body parts are weaker or painful, etc. Also, I'm working on a post.

Been a long week, but I've been doing a lot. I'm about to go do my friend's hair for her prom (tbt) and that should be fun but tomorrow it's back to the grind at work.
