All I know is when I was 16, if I didn't have to get up for work or school, I wasn't going to enjoy my sleep lol. Of course these days, staying asleep past 6 is almost impossible

The reason I wrote it this early is because of time, it takes like 20 hours to get to Massachusetts from Florida, but it probably takes an hour for each stop to get everyone on. And some students are early risers, just not most XD And I just wasn't thinking about the rooms, ahaha. So I'm changing it to ten floors and fifty rooms on each floor~ it's a big hotel (;

Apo, you don't need a hotel. You need a private island to hold all those students in one vehicle. Like, I'm sure there are over 1000, but currently the car only hold 500 with that change.

There could always be multiple cars and they could pick up students at different times but somehow still arrive at Salem on time. Just an idea. Cause you know: Magic.

unrelated to that, i'm curious as to how amelia's actually gonna be able to perform magic, what with not being able to say the incantation. i mean, we know non-verbal magic can be a thing, but that's only introduced to 6th year students at hogwarts, and after students are already comfortable with the spells and have lots of practice.

I gave her a wand that's very easy to cast spells with. Plus, all the classes she'll be really good at(Potions, Herbology, CoMC, and maybe Divination) are non-verbal.

As for casting spells when needed, I think non-verbal can work, she just needs a bit more effort. Unless, say, there is a potion that could give her a voice for classes.

Not really, 500 is pretty big for a school. Anyways, JK Rowling gave an estimate of around 200-300 students at hogwarts. So I'm just trying to keep it in that ball park.

maybe, but to be fair there's also about 5 times the amount of people in the us than in the uk, and one school per country if that. i think the official number was… what, 11 magical schools in the world? i guess we can just ignore that and say there are multiple schools in the us. seems very american to think this or that way is better, so multiple schools/practices are developed.
