Synopsis:

Allaria is a multi-chapter Roleplay that has seen the successful completion of the first three chapters. It is a Fantasy roleplay that envelopes many of the usual tropes with some additional features to make it stand out. In previous incarnations, it proved to be a very popular roleplay that combined plot-driven roleplay with character driven roleplay, effectively making a game where, the end result could be vastly different from the stated goal. Not all of the world has been fleshed out, and due to Guildfall, many of the NPCs have been lost, as well as the laundry list of former players, not to mention many of the maps. However, much of the area known as the Hook has been fleshed.

About the World:

Allaria is a continent on a yet unnamed world. It comprises mainly of a Hook, characterized by the feature of it hooking around, two islands, one at the base of the Hook, and one in the Ocean off the southern coast, and a main continent.

Some of the notable explored cities include Valgar, a city that houses the Undead and has a strange effect on people who visit. The longer they stay, the more crazy they are driven(leaving reduces this effect, but is substantially harder to do if one stays too long). Rocoa is another notable city, as prior to the Apotheoses takeover, it was dubbed the 'God Capital' where all Gods were worshipped, freely.

The world to the west is inhbaited, however, and will be fleshed out as the series and chapters progress.

Allaria, the only explored land Kayfabe(storylined), is home to a variety of classical races, including humans, Surface Elves, Drow, Beastkin, Dragoniods, and Goblins. Each has their own God, except the Goblin race who don't believe in them, and their own 'Councilman/woman'.

The Story so Far

Chapter Four Plot - Rescue and Escape!:

Our story takes place two years after the Summit. Bastion, once second in command to Eclava, has been a Apotheoses leader now for two years. His superior martial skill has allowed him to rule with an iron fist in the middle of Allaria, a sizeable location.

Our group of misfits have been newly entered into the burgeoning alliance and been tasked with retrieving notable War hero, Szazah, from the grips of the Apotheoses. But it won't be easy, as Bastion is a master of the military, and quite capable of taking on any seige. But things aren't all as they seem, he is a terrible politician when it comes down to it and forces are moving to take over in his stead. They may not be friendly to him, but their goals are set on leadership, so they'll be no help.

The extration point is the base of the mountains on the Northern side. But can the group make it there? Or will their actions derail the plans and put the Apotheoses firmly in the driver's seat once more.

@MelonHead Good character, though I'd like you to further explain how those weaknesses are actual weaknesses. I can sort of see the second one, but ultimately that one would come down to you deciding which cues he'd miss.

The first goes over my head, as, I never really see not using X weapon as a weakness when you have another weapon, that can probably be augmented with poison.

Well, I was under the impression Elves are physically frail? So running up and shanking someone puts you close enough to get pummelled. It also removes one of the greatest advantages of guerilla warfare by taking away your ability to fight from range. This is also in conjunction with his addiction to a stimulant, which you may have missed.

Secondly, the lack of social skills puts him at a disadvantage using his poisons, as does his first weakness, because he can't easily talk his way into someone's confidence and then poison them. He would also fail to recognise a number of things that would seem obvious to anyone who had visited a city before such as -

1. Guard posts
2. Marketplaces
3. Slums
4. Criminal areas
5. What symbols mean in regards to different shops

So essentially my characters main weaknesses are a lack of combat skills save for the ability to use a knife (in conjunction with a stimulant which has its own negative effects) an inability to shoot a bow and therefore poison people from range, and a lack of social skills which makes poisoning people covertly difficult.

I can add more if this doesn't seem like enough.

What do you mean by weaknesses exactly? Is it something extra beyond the limitations of a class?

Rilla basically likes your character to have a couple of things they're worse than average at, unless they're not particularly good at anything, in which case their weakness sort of becomes how mundane they are.

Also it usually has to be physical so he can pull out some shit to screw you over at some point.

Preferably, yes. Such as Melon's is frail, but also has extra weaknesses. It doesn't have to be much, really. Just something that makes sense, and if questioned can be answered as readily as Melon did.

OK that kind of makes sense.

I wish that post was saved, as a reminder to all comers of what may happen to your poor character should you leave without warning.

Well, there were two legend kills in that run of Allaria.

1. Forsoff being thrown off his feet by a chicken and accidently headbutting a guy in the ass, causing him to slam into a tree and break his neck. (It was hilarious that we all shrugged his death off like, lol w/e he left, in IC haha.)

2. Forsoff instant killing the first Chicken with an axe throw.

You might also remember some of the other bullshit I pulled in that adventure, such as drunkenly fighting Ogre's and having one of them fall on their own weapon and die.

If I remember correctly, we were accosted by skeletons and Forsoff was the only one who actually fought, everyone else immediately went for diplomacy.

I'm pretty sure Forsoff was the only reasonable man in our party.
