@Bright_OpsIt is not too late, and that is interesting so far; so, is he actually corrupted by Tzeentch (I'm assuming) but believes himself unaffected? Or am I reading this all wrong?

@Jbcool

The interesting part is that Tzeentch could be giving him a little bump in the right direction... or not. It's rare for the forces of chaos to try and corrupt the Tau because Tau souls aren't bright enough to actually be seen from the warp (At least that is my understanding of it) and their belief in the Tau'va (The Greater Good) gives the race a mind set that Chaos has a hard time corrupting. It's generally a case of it being a lot of hard work for very little reward.

However, as was seen in the Fire Warrior Novel/Game, it isn't impossible for one of the Chaos Gods to give the Tau a bit of a boost...

Hhhhmm, any other character ideas? Not sure a Tau would work for the purpose of this RP really.

I'm really just interested in how you intend to fit him in; this is an RP about worshippers of Chaos seeking their own apotheosis and ascension to Daemonhood - now I'm just curious as to how your character, being both a Xenos and apparently not corrupted enough to even know if he is or not, would fit into this. That's all. :)

Answer me this well, and see him accepted upon completion of the sheet.

@Jbcool

Well, Fio'Ui is pursing knowledge of Chaos because he believes it to be a highly unstable but highly potent energy source of some kind that the backwards and superstitious humans mistakenly worship as a god/gods. The promise of 'Daemonhood' to Fio'Ui would translate to something more along the lines as an ascension to becoming a being of pure energy... a transformation that he would have to witness for himself in order to study and try to understand, if not undergo himself.

For the Tua'va of course... the Tau Empire needs to get as much information on this dangerous energy source as possible after all.

Sure thing, Brother!

Basically, @Bright_Ops The Chaos worshipers in this Rp are all very much self-aware soldiers of the Dark Gods, who're mounting a Black Crusade. We're doing shit like kidnapping, murder, sacrifice, and generally being evil badasses. A Tau wouldn't really fit in, purely because "oh I thought we were the good guys!" Doesn't quite cut it when we're redecorating our walls with the mutilated bodies of our enemies children, and have tentacles growing out of our faces. Ya get me?

hehehehe... still in this just having trouble coming up with a character concept atm... the last chaos I was in was my RP and we were traitor marines so... coming up with a cultist is proving somewhat challenging

I feel like there's alot more flexibility to the 40k universe then we all anticipate. Like, its easy to think of it as all just being big steroidsy blokes and evil dakka dakka monsters, but there are trillions up trillions of "normal" humans out there. Any person that exists in the modern day can exist in the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, just throw abit of sci-fi in and make sure they don't breach the fluff!

@Kingfisher

Oh, he would know full well that the cultists aren't the good guys by any stretch of the imagination. But the Tau Empire needs to get a first hand account of what exactly this insanity is so that they aren't taken by surprise by it when they encounter it themselves... and if the price for this knowledge is paid by the Imperium of Man rather then the Tau themselves, all the better. If the Imperium is weakened by this 'Black Crusade', then the Tau Empire will have an easier time expanding and defending its boarders while spreading the light of the greater good. The needs of the Tau'va and the Tau Empire come before the personal ambitions, desires, lives and morality of the individual after all...

And since Tzeentch is the Chaos God most likely to give Fio'Ui the time of day let alone his blessings, is it really that strange that Tzeentch would be subtle about guiding anyone down the path he wanted them to go? Worst case scenario, Fio'Ui dies early on and Tzeentch doesn't really gain anything from this dead end of a plot. He doesn't really lose anything either though...

It'll be interesting to see what kind of possible plans that Tzeentch would want to set in motion by using a tau... I could even share a couple I can think of via PM if you want.

I still think a Tau might have some issues with the nature of the atrocities we'll be committing, but I guess once he's well and truly under the influence of Tzeentch it wont matter.

Its @Jbcool 's decision, ultimately.

@agentmanateeWell, no one ever said the path to Daemonhood was an easy one, ey?

@Bright_OpsI'm not really convinced, I'll be honest, but I'm a pretty easy-going GM, so I'll give you a chance to prove that letting him join our band of psychopaths is not a bad idea. :)
