Tom was relieved they were able to make it back to the city but left bad for the ones that didn't. Sighing he asked the guard who he could talk to about helping to protect the city. Waving to the guard he started walking to where he was supposed to go. As he was walking he noticed some of the reactions he was getting from the others. Ranging from a quick glance to hatred with the latter being the most normal reaction he would normally comes across. Focusing on his current task he made is way to his destination.

Tom would be sent off to one Major Bentsworth, who would ask the Ghoul some questions:

"What weapons are you good at? You seem to be a good sniper. How good are you at explosives?"

"How strong are you? Failing that, how agile?"

"How soon can you memorize a rough map of Liberty City?"

If the answer to that last question was very soon, Major Benthsworth would then say:

"Good; go to that Albert guy with an offer; we'll give him not bottlecaps, but actual gold - made from melted-down jewelry if you must know - if he'll try to raise the troopers' morale in the face of Enclave invasion. Also, try and get any newcomers to join the ranks. In the meantime, I will prepare evacuation plans."

Tom answered all of the questions he was ask even going into more detail then necessary about his skills as a sniper. "I can use grenades but that's about it...I'm not that strong but I am vary agile...I can memorize a map." Tom was surprised about his first "mission". He was told to find that Albert fellow and ask him to help out. Tom started his search by the gate they entered and started making the rounds with what information he found.

David had finally arrived in New York City. After a month of trekking to Washington D.C. from Charleston S.C., then a week long steamboat ride from a very friendly man in the Potomac, he was relieved. His main reason for traveling here was in an attempt to disrupt the supply lines of the raiders in Pittsburg, now known as the Pitt, but David also wanted to stick around for a while, and see if he could help out, make NYC a better place. Thanking the steamboat driver, David stepped up to the gates of a makeshift city called Liberty Island, built up around the Statue of Liberty. David waved to the gate guards and introduced himself, making sure to keep a respectable distance, and keep his hands above the waist. "Hey there. Is the city open? My name's David, I'm a traveler, looking for a place to stop for a while."

After a having a few drinks inside of him Danny made his way towards the mayor's office to ask for what to do next,He needed the caps and was willing to help around but only in for the caps.The ghoul stumbled a bit getting out of the bar heading out of the door and towards the mayor's office,Danny finally making it to the mayor's office going pasted the secretary and towards the door pasted her.

At the entrance of Liberty Island stood two figures one a smaller womanly form,Beside her a huge hulking figure completely covered in a dark brown jacket with a hood to cover his face."Hello where here to sell some wares for some caps...Im a merchant and this here is my bodyguard" The woman said pointing to the hulking figure who said nothing.

"So are we good to get in?" She added a smile on her face as the hulking figure pulled their Brahmin closer towards them.

I'd decided to help in the defense of Liberty City, but I wasn't staying in that metaphoric barrel. Too open. So, instead, I was keeping watch from a chain of tall buildings, prepared to give supporting fire with my rifle. Worst case scenario, I had to leave Liberty City in the dust. I'd done it before, I guess, but I had people I was starting to consider friends in there. I wasn't about to let them die to a bunch of hypocritical Enclave.

Jensen was working hard at earning the trust of the local populace, though he actually put his Armor to good use in reaching this goal. Helping lift heavy loads of scrap to repair damaged structures, helping hold up portions of the improvised homes as they did some work to maintain them, and helped maintain them a tad himself. Though as he worked, he heard rumors of a threat of an Enclave invasion, he immediately offered his and his Knights help in the defense, and got work on helping shore up the walls, and give some people a few pointers on how to use a firearm and how to improvise a good explosive. When he was free, he was on the walls in the North sector, patrolling with some civilian guards to assist where he could.

Something was very wrong here...He was worried about the City and how it would hold out.

Sparks managed to find the new Paladins in town quickly enough, though given the suits, it would be a hard time figuring out which one was Paladin Jensen. Well, not that it mattered; asking would clear that up. She walked up to the closest one.

"Greetings, Brother Paladin," she said. "I'm Initiate Jennifer Svarowski. I'm looking for Brother Paladin Zachary Jensen, because I need to his help with a local matter."

"Ah, hey... Dude. How's it goin'?" Albert would ask Tom upon his arrival. Albert was busy twirling his pistol around as if he was a cowboy (though he of course didn't know where it came from), and finally caught it and shoved it into its holster. Tim, meanwhile, was patrolling Liberty Island with guards, waiting for the Enclave attack, should it ever come.

"About time I found you. Finding you was harder then finding Waldo." Tom walked up to him. "Major Bentsworth ask me to come find you. He wanted me to ask you to help out with the Enclave attack. He even said he was going to pay you in gold." Tom took a drink from his canteen. "The Major must really want you to help if he if he is offering gold."

"Well then, if he's paying gold then I'll sure as hell help out! Just let m-" It was in that moment that Tim shouted for Albert, "ALBERT! I MUST GO FIND ADVENTURE! I APOLOGIZE ALBERT!" With that, Tim strolls away from Liberty Island and Albert chases after him. "Tim, the hell are you doing!?"
"ADVENTURE!"
"We have to stay and defend the island!"
"WELL I MUST LEAVE!"
"You said you would stay and fight!"
"ADVENTURE, ALBERT!"
"Stupid damn bucket of bolts..." The two would continue on and on in a comedic transfer of insults before they became specks in the distance.

Jensen stood guard over the Northern Perimeter, his gaze cold against the horizon as he waited for a threat to present itself. though a threat did not arise, an Initiate did instead, speaking of a local job and needing his help. Paladin Jensen was the one to turn and speak curtly. "Why should I do this? What trumps the defense of these innocent people from the possible threat of an Enclave attack?" He retorted, wondering what could possibly motivate him to leave the city and let it be less protected that it would be, if he was there.

Tom had a feeling the plan the Major had would work. Who could turn away from something when gold was the reward? Just then the robot interrupted Albert and with him in toe made their way off into the distance. "wha...huh? What the fuck just happened?" Tom was wondering how he went yes to not ever here when he decided that it might be best not think to much on this one. He turned around a went back to Major Bentsworth to tell him the news.

"Oh, right," Sparks replied sheepishly, remembering that the town was still on high alert. "Well, it's mostly that I have a lead on a Vault that has tech, waiting to be recovered. I've got a good lead on where it is, and the guy seems to be on the level. I mostly need some protection for the trip, sift through the tech, and bring back what we can. Transportation isn't going to be an issue."

A sigh from the Major.

"The loss of every potential defender is a crippling blow to us. Nevertheless, you did well." He then faced Tom.

"We've heard new news of another Ghoul, as well as a sane Super Mutant, on the gates of the city. Can you see what they're up to, and if possible, recruit them? We are really desperate for anyone new."

At the gates, David would be told of the coming attack by The Enclave, who, if the ghoul knew anything about them, would normally exterminate the muties in order to make room for their 'pure' Humanity. But apparently, the organization was under new leadership, with said new leader planning to enslave the people of the Wasteland instead of genociding them. Ahab will also overhear this.

On news of the Enclave attack, David would be quick to offer his services in any way possible. The Enclave weren't his usual enemies, and would be far better equipped, but David was sure he could handle them, with backup of course. He took the time to find whatever merchant or tradesman he could that was still open, restocking on supplies, and, if one were to exist, stopping by a librarian or other knowledge center to provide them with the information on his updated map, a tradition he kept since his first days of wandering

Ahab said nothing holding in the anger just to focus on just heading into the city.

The Mayor sighed in exasperation.

"We're going to need a Field Hospital, close to the center of the city, and are transporting materials and equipment there. We'd like to appoint you head doctor of that place."

"Also, we are readying evacuation to upstream. Perhaps you can send your parents on a boat out of the city before everything falls apart?"

The smaller woman moved along as Ahab moved pasted the guards,His green eyes staring at them but they could not see his anger form his face being covered.Soon the two and their pack brahmin were inside of the city with the two heading to a friend of Jenifer's to help them get some quick caps.

"Sounds good i think i can show you smoothskins how it's done...and how much will i be paid for?" Danny then asked the mayor not minding that he could be in her element,"I will tell my parents and get em out of here" He added wanting his parents to be safe and not be in any harm.

Jensen looked at the other Paladins beside him and spoke, issuing a command. "Get more troops here, and a couple more Scribes, get supplies and help arm and rally the people. I want the Enclave to meet their deaths here." He was stern, and anyone near would be able to feel the raw seriousness with which he carried the statement, then he turned to Sparks. "Initiate, I shall escort you, and, if I feel you have proven yourself. I may sponsor you if you need it, I got far by my mentor's guidance. I would enjoy sharing his tutelage as a memorial to his service.." He trailed off at the end, and hoisted his minigun. "Let us go." He waited for her to move, and was ready to follow.

The thought of teaching an Initiate...Felt right. He could finally truly honor his mentor.
