@ravenDivinitylooking at my work now I think the best explanation he is a folk hero of sorts. He's not some great legend with statues of him in great empires, but instead he's a tale told by grandmothers to children when they fear what lives in the woods.

A once-paladin, who thought that by master powers both good and evil he could excise darkness from the world, but whose hubris caused the good gods to turn away and strip him of his goodly powers? Who then, feeling betrayed, sought to bring an end to religion through a nearly successful conquest of a large portion of the continent, but was outwitted in a cataclysmic battle?

@ravenDivinity Sort of. Think like a combination of those and the american folk characters (paul bunyon, davy crocket), and then throw in some magic and fantasy things. As well he's not as... charming as those characters. Half his work is fighting off those who oppose nature's rule. Yes the other half is helping those who live in harmony with nature, but it's hard to get away from his main objective.

the tales probably got warped over time to make him more heroic.

@ravenDivinity Oh walk it off you Mary-Sue, nobody asked you. Lol. But srsly, This time, I don't think it's smart if the burden is on the GMS to reply. I think we need the players to interact a bit more.

And if you read it the first time, then you read it this time. I'm just gonna copy paste what I do have already.... and see if I cant find/make a better world map.

Edit: Let me preface this by saying that there are some predefined locations, but the players define a lot of the lore. (Within good reason of course. I will intervene if something just doesn't fit.)

With that said, I'd say it's better that we not try to assemble a lore right here right now. I think we have plenty of people to move our pursuits into an actual thread! So, let's grow our estate.
