So I kinda' want a rip off on Justice League with all original characters. They formed an alliance and work together under one roof to keep the world safe. They deal with personal ups and downs, and of course battle evil villains. There will be a few rules.

1: I would like a high casual standard. At least one paragraph per post, decent writing, ect.
2: No magic. Magic as a super power just rubs me the wrong way.
3: You may play villains, BUT they may not be your main character. You villains will most likely be short lived characters that either die or get locked up.
4: Before you make your characters, ask me about their powers first. I want to keep from having heroes with the same power, godmoddy powers, or something stupid like being able to turn into a bucket of water.
5: In the spirit of classic superheroes, the guild has a no-kill policy. All villains and criminals must be left alive if at all possible.

Interested! More info would be cool. Also, you should have everyone state the abilities they want in the interest check so no one is surprised that the power they want is already taken.

Also, good idea. But some people may join after the OOC is posted.

so then put a list of the taken powers in the OOC

the background of the group
where they reside in
what villains are active in their area
the time period this is set in, along with the technology if it is more advanced then what we have now

I'm thinking the group will have similar history to it's inspiration: the justice league. After working together on a few things, these guys just got together and said "Fuck it, let's make a team."

Have not decided on the city. Thinking something cliche like New York or some other large city.

The villains depend on what you guys come up with.

Time period is current. However, superheroes have always tended to own more advanced technology than their time period allowed. That's fine with me.

I always enjoy a good super hero rp
I am interested in other words

Oh an Goddess I know this is preachy sounding but as a lover or comics and Manga could we please establish a no kill policy
Too many hero rp I've been in always seem to have people that believe that heros should be allowed to be Judge, Jury and Executioners
It spoils the ideal of what it means to be a good guy in comic style heros
Sorry if that idea steps on toes but I always thought that it was that balancing act between being a vigilante and on the side of justice that made the heros so appealing

I actually agree, although I thought it was a given. Now that you mention that, I HAVE seen that more than I think I should. I'll make a rule.

By this do you simply mean no spellcasters? Or does this include characters with magical items/weapons, (demi)gods, and the like as well?

I'm not saying I want to do a magical-themed character, but a Captain Marvel/Shazam inspired hero is one of the many ideas floating around my head right now.

Heroes with near useless abilities acceptable? I mean, come on! Aquaman!
Could I do a hero with the ability to pull whatever cold dessert or beverage he wants from alternate dimensions?

LOL
I once asked could I have a gift that allowed my D&D ranger To speak to and command Squirrels
The GM said sure thinking it merely a cute and amusing power till four fighters confronted her in her forest and she called down a squirrel army to rain nuts sticks and rocks on the four
I guess he'd never seen the CG Open Season LOL
