"Oh, is this a challenge of my dancing skills. Truely you have no idea, surprise! As I am a master of dance! Taught by the dancing monks of Tibet while I was a child. True story by the way" Ryan leapt up to join in with the little group of friends dancing. Smiling as it turned to the entire group dancing together.

9:00

Tapping his flashlight off his head, Ryan smirked. "Dips not being the seeker" He threw his flashlight in the air. "C'mon-" He caught the flashlight. "It'll be fine, now don't mind me as I-" Ryan started to walk backwards.

"Seep into the darkneeeesssss~" He whispered as he went into the woods.

Amelia stepped forward, "if any of us aren't back in camp by half an hour, the game is off, right?" She asked, trying to ensure everybody's safety. "M-maybe we should all keep extra batteries too, in case our flash lights stop working. We will need to try and conserve our phone's battery life so extra batteries should be the way to go." Amy's voice grew quieter, as she began mumbling ideas to herself under her breath, kneeling down beside her bag as she rummaged for some spare batteries to distribute to everyone before they left. After finding some spare batteries, she stood up and approached everyone, handing them two each before hiding her bag in the tent again, zipping the tent behind her.

"Who will be the seeker then?" She asked nobody in particular as Ryan began walking into the woods backwards.

"Yeah, sure. Half an hour sounds good I guess." Sean said while shrugging. He just wanted to run out into the darkness. Sean, eager to get to the hiding part took the two batteries that Amy handed him and put them in his pocket. He quickly found his flashlight and then started moving slowly in another direction than Ryan, still facing the group. Then he answered Amy. "You? If you're up for it that is." Sean didn't go to far away before hearing who would be the seeker. It could give him some hints on how he should play this. Some in the group would search almost like if the forest were a grid, clearing area after area, while others, including himself, would just run all over the place until they found someone, probably running in circles without knowing it. He were probably taking the game way too seriously, but it was always more fun that way. Commitment is key.

Harry, flashlight on his head, turns it on and mutters to himself for a moment. "I'm not gonna fucking be the seeker. That's no fun." He laughs for a moment, before twirling his hair a bit and finally saying "See ya, chumps!" With that, he heads out into the woods, disappearing into the darkness.

Two minutes later...

Ducking into a bush and turning his flashlight off, Harry giggles to himself for a moment, before relaxing. Thoughts race through his mind, namely 'who'll be the seeker' and 'what if Booker dies on this trip?' Well, he couldn't care less about the first question, but if the second ever happened... Well then he'd have Quinn all to himself. He laughs loudly for a moment, most likely startling anyone nearby, before going quiet again.

More thoughts race through his mind, this time more serious. 'What if I don't get into the university' and 'what's gonna happen when this trip is over? Will we all still be friends?' He tries to get these questions off his mind, but they keep coming back to him... He stays quiet, waiting for and wanting someone to find him so that he wouldn't be alone and these questions would go away.

With everyone collectively deciding Amelia to be the seeker, the girl stood beside the campfire, waiting for everyone to head their seperate ways as she closed her eyes for safe measures. She mentally counted till fifty, giving the others enough time to scatter around the campsite as she stood up. Nervously, Amy pulled out her flashlight and turned it on, the light brightly illuminating a tree in front of her. "Right..." She murmured before raising her voice, "ready or not, here I come!" she couldn't help but shout childishly before taking a deep breath before choosing a random direction, setting off with the goal of finding at least one person within the half hour time limit she had given herself. "Hopefully the first one I find would be much better at this game," she chuckled to herself, carefully stepping over a fallen branch.

Quinn took off sprinting as Amelia was set as the designated seeker. She felt a bit exhilarated as she darted into the woods her flashlight dancing across in front of her as she tried to find a good spot to hide. Not wanting to get too dirty, she decided not to get too hands on with her approach and figured she wouldn't be too devastated getting found first. "Ready or not, here I come!" Amy's voice rang out and Quinn couldn't help but let out a small gasp of excitement as she quickly squatted down behind a fallen tree. Clicking off her flashlight, and holding it against her chest.

Thoughts of the day entered her mind as she listened for Amelia to come find her. It had been a good day so far, the group had arrived safely with no problems between them yet. Tomorrow will be filled with more activities and great times to have. Hopefully.

After deciding how long they should play and figuring who was going to be the seeker, Booker went full sprint when he grabbed the extra batteries, basically saying he was not the seeker. He ran right before Quinn, running with his flashlight running downward. He didn't pay attention to the others or the direction they have ran except for Sean, as he felt that he needed a good place to hide.

coming upon a tree that looked climbable, Booker looked up, placing the flashlight in his mouth and started climbing, wanting to get a good view, trying to keep his eyes on Quinn and hopefully the others. Reaching one of the branches, "Ready or not, here I come!" Booker turned his light off, sitting in the tree watching, waiting, wondering who would be caught first. he managed to see Quinn's hiding place and saw what direction Sean went but the other two...the hell if he knew.

Sean quickened his pace as Amy started counting, his flashlight lighting the way in front of him. He jumped over a couple of big rocks with ease but decided to keep running. He wanted to get a bit into the forest before picking a hiding place. He heard the sound of another person running nearby, but he had no idea who. The breathing. Running footsteps, slowly fading away as the person took a turn. Sean just kept going in a straight line. "Ready or not, here I come!" Amy's voice was barely audible. Surprised at how far he must have gotten already, Sean started to quickly looked around for a suitable hiding place, with his flashlight guiding the way. He found a couple of bushes. He ran towards them and without making too much of a rustle, he climbed into one of the bigger bushes and made himself as small as possible. He quickly turned off his flashlight and waited.

Swinging her flash light around, trying to illuminate the slowly darkening path before her, Amy listened for any sounds. 'I didn't really give people too long, so they would either be close by, or they would've had to run...' Amy couldn't help but grin to herself, feeling like Sherlock Holmes, alright Amy, listen out for any panting, if anyone did run, panting should give them away. Amy shook her head, as if to clear her mind of the thoughts to help her listen out for any sounds that could give away the locations of her friends.

Despite her weekend ballet classes Quinn had been a little out of shape, and it showed. The sound of her breathing probably could be heard as she tried to catch her breath from the sprinting she had to do to get as far away from the campsite that she could in the small amount of time. Looking up she could Booker's position, and gave a small wave to him to show that she could see him. Her squatting position was getting uncomfortable by the minute as she tried to make slow and quiet adjustments behind the fallen tree trunk.

Amy furrowed her eyebrows, stopping in position with her flashlight pointing towards a fallen tree trunk to the right of her. Despite her knowing the campsite was safe, she couldn't help her initial thoughts. 'What if thats an animal...' She tightened her grip around her light before strengthening her resolve. She had to find at least one person tonight, or else she'd never live down the shame. Approaching the tree trunk, albiet nervously, Amy was relieved to see it was just Quinn squatting down in what looked like an uncomfortable position. She stiffled a laugh, "you okay there, Q?"

As familiar as Amy's voice was to Quinn the sudden sound of it made the girl let out a scream. Plopping to the ground onto her bottom, she looked up at Amy helplessly and flicked on her flashlight, "You scared the crap out of me!" she exclaimed, chuckling a little as she rubbed her sore legs. "Thankfully you found me first though, or they'd have to amputate my legs I think." she stuck out her tongue as she hoisted herself off the ground and wiped off the back of her pants quickly. "Now to find the boys" she added, looking up to Booker's spot with a devious smile.

Unfortunately, Amy had turned her back to Quinn at the wrong moment as she tried looking around the darkened woods with a narrow gaze. "To be quite honest, I'm glad I found you first. At least I have someone to get lost with in these woods." Amy shrugged, swinging her flashlight around to pick a random direction. She pointed towards the direction she came from, "camp is back that way," she said, more to remind herself, "if we go back, we could probably attempt to follow Sean or Ryan, as we pretty much saw which direction they went, even if it may be a bad idea- no, scratch that, I guess that is a very bad idea." She then turned to face Quinn once more, "you sure you're okay though? Did you hurt yourself during that fall?"

Using the toe of her shoe, Quinn drew an arrow in the dirt of which way Amy said the camp was in, just as a precaution to if the two of them got lost. "I'm okay." she smiled, squinting slightly to see her friend's face in the ever growing darkness of the night. "I think heading after those two is the best thing we can do for now, plus we probably don't have too much of the half hour left so the worst that could happen is that we just go back to camp and call everyone in on their phones." she concluded, linking her arm in Amy's carefully as they began walking back towards camp.

Amy pointed her flashlight towards the ground, illuminating the path she was once walking on before. "Be careful, there are a couple of loose branches here and there, it would be quite easy to trip if you don't have any light around." Amy grinned at her friend beside her, "plus, even if we don't find anyone, we at least have each other to keep company." She said, "it's actually been a while since we've had the chance to talk like this, without me joining in on yours and Booker's dates."

Nodding to Amy's warning, she kept her eyes scanning from infront of them to the ground repeatedly. A pout formed on Quinn's lips as she listened to Amy speak, "I'm sorry we haven't got to spend too much time together, just you and I." she gave her arm a gentle squeeze, "With the finals, afterschool activities, college visits and applications, and just life in general I sometimes get swept up in everything." she continued, "I guess that is why I really wanted to go on this trip with all of you guys, it's important to spend time with your loved ones as much as you can, cause time goes fast and we can't really do anything about it." Quinn paused, and made a fart noise with her mouth, "I'm so cheesy, no wonder I always win over the debate team" she joked, as they reached the outer edge of their campsite, their two tents, fire pit, and surrounding chairs in view.

Amy nodded, following Quinn along the path until they reached a tree with a low hanging branch. She unhooked her arm from Quinn's, pointing the flashlight on the branch so Quinn wouldn't have to bump her head as she ducked under. "I'm excited to go to college," Amy started, her voice quiet. She rarely talked about college, her mind too full of Nate that she could barely think about anything else. Now with graduation over with, and her job at the restaurant going well, she could finally have a breather and actually think properly about college. "But I don't want to lose this. Our friendship... Our group." She sighed, "I haven't really had many friends before, as you can quite tell." Seh said, almost sheepishly. "Promise you'll keep in touch, no matter what." Amy waited till Quinn ducked under the branch, before following her.

"Thankyou" Quinn said, as she ducked down under the branch and straightened herself back up on the other side. "I promise you we will, there are way too many ways to keep in touch these days, and I don't want to lose our friendship either." she confirmed. It was hard talking about these things with anyone, when you never truly knew the future. All she could do is hope for the best, and try her hardest to keep her word to her best friend. "So, Harry and Sean went.. um, that way I believe." she pointed her flashlight towards one direction, "And Ryan went that way I think." she pointed her flashlight a bit to the right of her original destination. "Who should we try finding first?"

Amy made sure to link their arms again, just like how Quinn had done earlier as she ccontinued along the path. "I'm sure all of us will try our hardest to keep in touch. But I guess its up to fate to decide." It wasn't long before they reached close to the camp once more, where the group had split up in different directions. Amy contemplated her choices, "we could try Harry and Sean, kill two birds with one stone, y'know?" She bit her lip for a moment, "where's Booker? I thought he went in your direction somewhere? Did you not see him as you hid?" She asked Quinn.

"Yes, let's get the two of them out in one go. I'm sure they couldn't have gone too far, right?" she asked, as they began walking towards where Harry and Sean had ran off too. Quinn bit her lip nervously when Amy asked about Booker. "Well, you know I can't lie to you, so.." Quinn made a guilty face in the dark, "I saw him as I hid... and after I hid.. and when we left the tree that he was in" she let out a nervous giggle hoping that Amy wouldn't be too upset with her.

Amy stopped, almost pouting childishly at Quinn. "Seriously? You couldn't help me out? You know how bad I am at this game!" She sighed, "I guess we have a third choice now: to go back and find Booker. Wait - does that mean that he saw me finding you?" She asked, her face scrunching up again.

"Uhh.. yes" her voice squeaked as Amy lectured her slightly. "Let's just keep going after these two, it wouldn't make sense to double back now. Plus, I know exactly where he is, so we can just run back and grab him after we find Harry and Sean. You know we'll need everyone in the group to find Ryan's sneaky self anyways." Quinn hoped that was enough to please Amy as the two started to venture into the woods again. About 20 minutes left before the game would end and the group would come back to camp to sleep.

Booker felt good his hiding spot. So good, that he felt no one would find him. With a smile of confidence on his face, Booker became alert at the sight of Quinn when she found a hiding spot near him, squatting down. "Well babes...I made you...nice position you have.." he thought to himself, chuckling in his mind feeling safe but....but...the confident smile that he wore proudly, started to diminish the moment, which happened too soon, when Quinn looked up at Booker. "Damn! she spotted me! he thought but he had to calm himself down.

"If she's not found, I have nothing to worry about." he gave a nervous smirk and waved back at his girlfriend. If this wasn't bad enough, Booker caught sight of Amy heading right towards Quinn. You have got to be kidding me! Booker was no longer confident as Amy came over, catching Quinn, causing her to let out a scream. As the two exchanged words, Booker was hoping that his girlfriend would be good and save his ass, but it was only wishful thinking when he heard, "Now to find the boys" from Q as she looked up at him with a devious smile.

Booker was sweating bullets. He was quite competitive and if he was found first out of the guys, he'd feel like a total loser. Thankfully Amy looked away when Quinn was trying to clue her partner in on where he was. As they started to leave, Booker no longer felt safe in the spot. The further the girls got away, Booker took a moment to get down from the tree and began looking for another spot before they decided to come back. He had a feeling that Quinn was going to come clean with Amy and come back for him. Looking around, he scurried off again but this time, he kept his flashlight off so to not give the girl any clue of his whereabouts.

Sean waited, feeling the cold air digging its way into his bones. He couldn't help but to shiver. He always liked the initial part of hide and seek, where you need to hurry to find the perfect hiding place, but kept forgetting that the waiting part was excruciatingly boring. You have to wait for someone to find you and if you are lucky, you're not found at all which means that you have to wait even longer. That seemed more like a punishment than a reward to Sean, but he had to admit, the sense of victory after being found last was pretty sweet. He just had to suffer through the waiting...or did he?

A grin appeared on Sean's face as he pulled out his phone and turned off both the sound and vibration. Then he remembered the light from the screen might attract attention so he turned the brightness down as well, hopefully before getting caught. He started writing a quick text. It said: "I seeee you..." He put a winky face after the text, but removed it reckoning it was more "spooky" without it. He chose Amy as the recipient and sent it. Sean smiled, proud of his way to both kill time and to play the game tactical. If he heard the noise of a text getting received he knew Amy was nearby and even if he didn't, maybe making Amy believe Sean could see her would make her look in her vicinity and throw her off her game. Not that Amy really had any "game" so to speak, but still. And no, it wasn't cheating. Booker didn't say anything about not using their phones.

Beep beep!

Amy barely managed to repress a scream at the sudden sound of her phone, jolting out of her skin and unhooking her arm from Quinn's in surprise. "Oh god," she said, her heart pounding, "I'm so sorry, Q, that might've hurt. Are you okay?" Amy asked her, pulling her phone out of her jeans pocket. She flinched at the sudden brightness from her screen, dimming it with a frown on her face as she scrolled to the new message.

"I seeee you..."

Her frown deepened, showing the screen to Quinn. "Sean sent it." Amy said, confused. "Why would he send this? Won't this increase his chances for being caught?" She asked. She tapped for the keyboard, ready to send a response. Her finger hovered over the button, and Amy looked up at Quinn again. "What should I say? Should I even respond?" She asked for her opinion. For all she knew, Sean could've been fooling her. It was hard to predict with Sean.

Amy's jump made Quinn get yanked to the side as the girl's quickly unhooked arms. "I'm alright" Quinn responded, giving a thumbs up to signify that she wasn't hurt or upset. The bright phone screen made the girl squint as her greyish blue eyes adjusted to the screen.

"I seeee you..."

"That's creepy as heck Amy!" Quinn said, her eyes widening and using her flashlight to glance around the surrounding area. She couldn't see any lit up phone or any movement, so she assumed that Sean was either playing a trick on them or he was extremely crafty. "I'm not sure." Quinn admitted, looking to Amy with an exhausted expression. "Tell him, he's the only one left out here, and he better watch out!" the girl exclaimed, letting out a small chuckle as she ran her hand through her hair. "We still have to find the other boys too, let's keep going and hopefully we will come across at least one other person. We only have about 20 minutes left anyways."

Amelia nodded, typing out her response as Quinn suggested, tweaking it ever-so-slightly. We're coming for you next. She snickered, thinking it would be best to keep Sean on his toes. She let Quinn look at the message as she pressed send, her phone letting out a soft hum in response. "If he wants creepy, we'll give him creepy." She said, turning the volume of her phone down slightly, so the next message or call she would get would not startle the girl into having a heart attack.

"We could possibly split up, cover more ground? You know where Booker is, while I will probably try to look out for Harry." Amy suggested, "we can meet back here in ten minutes and look for Sean and Ryan together. We definitely need all the manpower we can get."

Frequently, Sean picked up his phone to see if he had gotten a response. After a while, he noticed that a new message indeed had arrived. He opened it.

"We're coming for you next."

Sean looked at the text, first surprised, then suspiciously. This is NOT Amy. Someone must have kidnapped her and then stolen her phone! Sean pondered that thought, most certainly inspired by the tv-show he recently watched where they kept using kidnappings as cliffhangers, until he realized how stupid it actually was. For one, it was more likely that she had already found someone else, like Quinn...or Booker or someone and that they had written the text. And also, the text said "We're". Not I'm, which, since Amy was not schizophrenic, proved that she wasn't alone.

Sean decided not to answer for now, not coming up with anything clever to say, and instead, kept waiting.

"Ooh, you're clever." Quinn commented, reading Amy's version of the text before it was sent off to Sean. Though the suggestion to split up seemed right out of a horror movie, Quinn couldn't help to agree that it'd be the best bet for Amy to win the game. "Okay. We will meet back at camp in 10 minutes. Hopefully with at least one person each, and then we will be able to find who is ever left in no time." Quinn said, giving a quick hug to Amy before turning to head back to where she came from. "Good luck!" she called, making her way through the forest.

Upon coming back to the tree where Booker was meant to be, she quickly realized he was not there anymore. "That cheater!" she thought to herself, as she looked around the surrounding area to see if he had just moved from out of the tree. "Babe!" she whispered, flashing her light back and forth to look around. "Babe, I already found you earlier so you might as well come out right now. You're lucky Amy didn't get you when she had the chance" she teased, stopping- a smile forming on her face, "I'll reward you with a kiss if you make this easy for me" she offered. Standing still, hoping that he would take the bait.

As Quinn went back in the direction the two girls had come from, Amy swung her flashlight around, letting luck decide which direction she would choose. She looked to her left, seeing a small clearing and wondered if anyone wandered through there while hiding. With one hand on her flashlight and the other beside her phone in her pocket, ready to message anyone, Amy set off.

Sean or Harry... She wondered. The fact that Sean didn't respond afterwards both amused her and scared her, what if he got hurt? a nagging thought kept nipping in her mind. Well, I did promise 'we' were coming for him next... I might as well try... Finally making up her mind, the girl grabbed her phone, this time ready for the sudden screen brightness as she checked the time.

Eight minutes to go...

If turning his flashlight was supposedly a good idea, he was wrong. He couldn't really see where he was going. A slip here, a bump there, if Booker kept this up, he was going to either get hurt or lost. He didn't go too far from the tree and decided to head back but try to stay hidden. He figured, the girls would come back to the tree but, they'll see he would no longer be there.

Walking back and looking down at his phone to check the time to make sure the game was still on, Booker didn't pay attention to Quinn coming back to the area he was at. He didn't have his light on so, he was just guessing how far he was. Hearing Quinn calling for him, Booker stopped but he was not hiding, he didn't have time to find a new hiding place and with her showing up so soon, he was in the open enough where she could see him.

Slowly, side stepping, behind a tree that was close by, he could hear her baiting him but he wasn't coming out. Yeah he cheated by moving out from his hiding spot and Quinn had a good point but he wasn't coming out for just a kiss, he figured he'd be able to get a kiss from her anytime. So...Booker let out a noticeable "TCH" from what Quinn said and realized how loud he was, covering his mouth and widening his eyes.

"TCH"

Ah, the old familiar sound of Booker made Quinn grin. "Wow, you're not impressed with my kisses anymore Booker Alphonse Sharp?" she used his full name to show that he was in trouble now. Pointing her flashlight at the source of the sound she caught glimpse of him behind the tree. Walking quickly towards him she whirled around the tree and let out a loud, "Gotcha!" as she threw her arms around him with a laugh. With her flashlight pressed up against his back, she couldn't see his reaction- but it felt nice to have her arms wrapped around him once more. Letting go, she looked up at him and planted a kiss against his chin, "You missed out on a good one, but since I love you I couldn't resist." she teased, finding his hand in the dark and interlacing her fingers with his. "We have to go help Amy find the rest of the boys, let's go!" she insisted, pulling Booker along as they made their way back to camp.
