[OOC] The Dead and the Dying

Looking to start a zombie rp since I can't find one (i blame my laziness). Just going to make crap up as I go along.

This story will begin before the outbreak, during, and after. By the start of the rp, the virus (whatever it is) has already begun spreading across the world. So it will be somewhat known, however, when it hits it will be sudden and extreme.

It will go along the same rules as the walking dead television show, for the most part. By that I mean the zombies will be similar, except not everyone is already infected and they don't turn when they die. The term 'zombie' does not exist in this world either, because it just sounds dumb when used and takes away from the immersion. Other than that, they are basically the same. Kill the brain! In the beginning, zombies can run or move faster, but as time goes on their body ages up and they become walkers.

As far as the setting, I'll keep it simple. Such as 'the city', the 'forest', etc. Names of places can be made up by the writer, this is because most zombie rps I've seen are based in a specific place, such as Atlanta, and not everyone knows about Atlanta. The writer will be free to create areas and places, for example, if you want a beach or some sewers, go for it. Whatever helps to write. Realism is still key, however.

ok, added a few key characters. Want this to be character driven, so you can mention a sickness, however no zombs just yet. Maybe Jagon, you're swat character can take down a drug dealing house with his fellow swat boys. I'll have Johnny be one, and then Dallen can become his lawyer. We'll eventually get all the characters together, then bam! zombies lol.

By the way, I am working on making this a comic book as well. So keep that in mind.

As for the zombies, there will be zombs just like in the walking dead, but there will also be special infected. I'll post more on that later. As for how they come to be, there's a virus going around. Sort of a major flu, but it doesn't turn you into a zombie it just kills you if you get it to bad. There will be a giant meteor shower occur across the united states (think Armeggeddon bad), which will have something within the rocks of the meteors. This alien substance will mix with this flu virus and create the zombies.

Our characters won't know any of this for a very long time, if ever. Depends how the story goes. But, first we build characters, then the meteor shower that affects the world, then zombies.

Personality|| She is usually nice for the most part. She acts out and snapps at people often though and almost never bothers to say sorry when she does act out. Most times she acts out when she's stressed out and when she is worried about something. She also does it when she is anoyed and doesn't get enough sleep. Though she snaps at you you probly don't want to snap back because the chances are Aly will get super angry at you. When Aly is angry its sort of hard to calm her down. At times she can be a bit violent too. These are just some of the reasons why she doesn't have that many friends at school. Another part of this is the fact that she tends to push people away and she calls people out for things no one would want to be called out for and she doesn't bother to hidewhat she thinks about some one and says to there face. On the more positive note Aly can be fun action lover type of person. She loves the thrills and taking all sorts of risks. She is very negetive. She also cares for others though that is one thing she would never admit.

Strengths|| She can fight back pretty well during attacts whether its with people or zombies. She can lead easily and has confidence whether she is wrong or right. She can easily stand up for herself and is also realy sneaky. She can move quickly on her feat and she also doesn't get injured easily. She is hard to trick do to her low trust.

Weaknesses/Fears|| Aly is scared of basicly any type of bug. She is also scared of getting bit by a zombie therefore she tries to stay as far away from them as posibble. Often times in situations she will end up fighting them. She tries to avoid it though. She also doesn't have the best people skills and trustes people to easily. She is persistant and stubburn whitch could also be considered one of her strenghs in some ways. She also is wrong very often. She often times shuts people out and tries to work alone. She also has terrible aim.

How do you react to strangers?|| She isn't the friendly when it comes to strangers. Her first thought when she sees a survivor is Oh there bad, Oh there going to hurt me, or They can't be trusted, or something like that no matter how many sighn they show of being good. She will threten them with a gun,, though she has terrible aim or she will threaten them in some other way. Often times she doesn't care that she is out numbered and will do this regarding that.

*Bio|| She wasn't exactly the star student iin school, she was more like the complete oppisite. She hated school and she also hated rules as she broke a lot of them. When the apocalypse came she was in the back of a shed spray painting it with a couple of her friends. A wierd creature came up to them and bit one of them. The person the thing bit began to turn. Aly and the others began to freak out and decided to run away into the woods. She didn't know what that thing was till a bit later in the apocalypse. She ended up running away and never seeing her family since then.

Standing in at around 5'7 with green/blue eyes and long curly red hair Reena was seen to be a pretty little thing. Her back has a few scars on it from accidents growing up.

Personality: A fun woman she is known to hard work. Out going and enjoying the outside world due to her upbringing on a old ranch that stayed in the family. Though even than she grew up a nerd, being able to talk all night about video games or comic books as a guilty pleasure. Quick to make friends shes often seen passing her own knowledge down to others and will try to help whenever she can. But if she thinks shes being used she'll turn her back on them even when they reach out to her.

Like: Video games, comic books, horse back riding, hunting and music.
Dislikes: Gender specific rules, people who will never stray from the book. Driving, english riding, hamsters. (Really, hates,hamsters)

Skills: Shes a great shot with a crossbow, knows how to skin, a horse trainer, can play guitar and violin a little, and knows most survival tricks due to her family.

History:
Reena grew up on a 75 acer ranch called hidden river with her family, a set of parents and two older brothers and a younger sister. Way off the betan path she was around farm life since she was born, knew how to ride before she could walk and her father took her out hunting when she was seven but never really made her first kill till she was fourteen.
A vary close knit community her family made a living by taking in troubled horses and raising cattle. Being in charge of taking care of the barn and riding a select few horses with her brothers she kept her skills top notch. Loving the creatures all too much it was only natural that she grew up in the family business, going on tour with her father to show off his personal quarter horses while he runs down training routines. Becoming a excellent reining show woman and gamming in things like barrel racing she was as much as a western person as one you would find in a cheesy movie.
Yet having to go to collage for business so she could take over, her brothers moving to the riding circuit and her younger sister leaving to new york, Reena found herself in Seattle for a few years going on scholarship alone. Being in the city she ended up finding the stories of comic books and video games such as the original green lantern, lady death, huntress and any x man following the night crawler. Calling it a guilty pleasure she kept from her parents, even going to conventions when she was able to.
Finding it a better idea to start her own small business where she is, her grandparents ended up getting her a deal for a small piece of six archers that offered free rent so long as she kept it taken care of. She now owns three horses and a mule that she uses in training other animals. A paint mare, mustang gelding, percheron gelding that she thinks the world of.
She's located only a half hour from the main city at the moment.
