Rin

Rin's hug had flustered Takeshi quite a bit which made the other kids giggle. Rin felt good knowing that these kids could still laugh after everything they possibly had been through. The other brother was teasing Takeshi which he couldn't ignore of course due to his personality but Rin did not go in on it any further and left them be to figure the rest out themselves.

Out of the car the raging of the two kids went on with the rest of the group being more calm. Asoka had continued the conversation between her and Rin but she didn't seem pleased with Rin's answer in the least. Rin jolted back a little and looked the other way instead of at Asoka. Rin squinted her eyes a bit and lowered her mouth behind the scarf as her muffled voice sounded.

"I'm sorry... But I don't think that is our doing... It occurs sometimes that certain restaurants are giving sales... They hire people to post those ads at every house..."

Rin bit her lip a little grabbed for her neck squinted her eyes closed and turned her whole body away from Asoka in one motion. She coughed a few times covering her mouth with her empty hand and wiped the spit onto her jacket. Rin opened her eyes in a glare looking slightly back behind her at Asoka.

"S-sorry"

Rin regrettably stared down at the ground having turned completely silent. At that moment a new person had shown up, what was he doing approaching such a big group of ghouls? Rin didn't act any diffrent then before since she had gotten pretty used to acting like her usual self after having worked in the inner district's for such a long time. No, he wasn't a ghoul but neither was he human she could tell by the smell this person was something mixed. But there was something more to it, he smelled fairly familiar but she couldn't put her tongue onto it...

Rin had turned her body around by now at the person and simply stared at him with her quite aura pointed right at him. She only knew one person that was like this. It was clear he was diffrent then the others by the experimenting they had done on him but she just couldn't believe this was the same person. Rin clearly remember him looking diffrent. He had grown so much over the years, to him Rin must have not looked any diffrent then before. She was already small back then and it hadn't changed much after the years. Rin never took any photos of the others thinking it was a rude thing to do without asking. It was kind of regretable she didn't do it back then though.

Rin didn't greet him or even stayed to welcome him, she was quiet as always as she walked inside of the building. She slowly walked up the stairs to the top floor and made her way into the house by going round the outside of the house and entering via a slightly opened window. Rin took of her shoes in the frame of the window and put them down against the wall while stepping onto the floor. Rin took a quick look around the house of Hana and took her own place in the corner of the living room sitting with her arms wrapped around her knees and her face burried behind her arms and knees. She felt done fot today, it was time to rest.

Asoka "Mercury"

Rin's response didn't display a lot of confidence, actually it was the complete contrary. That wouldn't fair well with her relationship with Asoka in the future, for this little opportunist would be completely merciless in exploiting such weaknesses. There wouldn't be any Machiavellian expression on the little tyrant's face, actually she'd be completely callous and unfeeling to the whole thing, raising an eyebrow before replying with a simple:

"Uh-huh."

The issue was resolved, the post office wasn't to blame, even if one were to expect them to be the progenitors of such cancerous practices. The idea of Rin's weakness would be put aside for now, since Asoka was just craving a shower at this point. But the cockblock occurred and someone emerged from the shadows, again.

'A challenger appears?'

Asoka rolled her eyes. It got kind of old after Hana and Rin made their appearances right out of the blue, now it felt like a rehashed season of some American TV series. What was next? The old man would return as a Cyborg from the future to warn them of an evil island that will kill them all? Asoka's creativity was indeed rather large, despite her authoritarian and rather controlling mindset, but it didn't prevent her from asserting the current situation. It'd be easy for her to make the same conclusion as the others, some weird mix of ghoul and human to leave even the most seasoned of hunters confused. The smell was a little too distinct to forget. But there lied a small problem.

She could only remember that smell from that individual, nothing else. Actually, one must consider that Asoka was about ten when they broke off, as such her memory can't always be the best when upon growing up so much the past years. Well, mostly in terms of age and not size. The smell emitted from this young man was just a trait so powerful in him that it essentially took over all the memories she had of him. As such she could only rely on Hana's "Takkun" to at least get a hint of what it was. No luck there, so many names started with 'Tak'. At this point, she was getting cranky, and just wanted in the building, out of the rain.

"Okay, okay. Itsukiwi, Hana-Banana and Rindigo are all back in my life, and so are you, erm ... Takkun. Huzzah! Mazeltov! Release the Kraken! Now can we pleeeaaase go inside? We can rant about Americans or something in the waaaarm."

And with that, Rin immediately went into the building. That was a bit rude, but Asoka's eyes widened in illuminating hope upon seeing such a courageous and gutsy action from the reserved one of the group. She'd even wag her finger at the little female's direction while nodding her head in completely approval. As for the nicknames, they just sounded good at the moment, that and it suddenly became a competition with Hana for some reason.

"See? See?! Rindigo has the good idea, let's take that as an example! Noooowww, if you could just tell me where the showers are, heck if you have a bathtub I'll call you Captain for a week."

The little bitch marched into the clinic, her umbrella twirling around her wrist like a fan, such a walking disaster anyone could see would only lead to trouble if they were to stand in her way.

Takumi Minamoto - Familiar Faces
3rd Ward, Sakura Clinic

If someone were to describe the reaction of the high-spirited 22-year old, they would only need one word: embarrassed. Possibly followed by the words "as fuck", if additional description was required to properly convey the tomato-redness that had come over Takumi. As far as public displays of affection went, this wasn't at all what he'd been expecting. Indeed, it was far too brazen for someone as maiden-like as him. Legs wrapped tightly around his waist, a woman's mouth on his neck, and most damning of all, the noise. He would have actually been more comfortable if she had taken a bite out of his neck. At least that was something he was trained to deal with. And Hana wasn't even the only one making odd noises; something between choking and sudden laughter blurted from his mouth in a staggered, half-restrained cadence. Truly, this was not a graceful situation. But on the brightside, he didn't fall over onto his back. So at least he had that going for him. Fortunately, his discomposure didn't last too long. He quickly returned to his senses after coming to terms with the overwhelming situation, and returned Hana's affections with a tight squeeze - in the hugging sense of the phrase, of course.

"Ah, that's kind of a long one," Takumi replied sheepishly, "And not really okay for a place like this." He did his best to gesture around the area with nods of his head. In doing so, his eyes met the quiet teen regarding him with her silent stare. As far as he could recall, the dark-haired girl was always quiet. As a result, he'd never gotten much else of a read from her. In his earlier days, this was a godsend. After mostly growing from his prejudices and trying to form connections, it was frustrating. But he could understand reticency, and couldn't hold such a trait against her. He raised his hand and gave a silent, good-natured wave. He wasn't much phased by her cold greeting, it seemed. 'I suppose some things don't change,' he thought as he saw the introvert retreat into the recesses of the clinic.

In contrast, the reaction from Asoka was a far cry from what he'd been expecting. He supposed that that was simply a natural turn of events, considering her relationship with their long-deceased caregiver. But what really got his attention was that first name. 'So Itsunii's alive and kicking too, then,' he noted. Based on his behavior, Takumi would've pegged his "older brother" as the "live-fast-die-hard"-type of ghoul. So it was a relief to know that the CCG didn't turn him into a nice suitcase. "I don't see why not," he agreed, "Nice to see you too, by the way." Like Asoka, Takumi also wanted to get his hygeine on. He'd gone far too long without a proper shower and a period of rest. '...She's going to hurt someone like that,' he thought, watching her swing her umbrella into the building.

When Hana leaned in, Takumi prepared himself for another onslaught of strange noises and equally odd sensations. Fortunately, the excitable woman took the opportunity for a query that had the action justified by its sensitive nature. That said, it called to mind something he'd much rather not think about at the moment. Best to eliminate this line of thought as soon as possible. Before answering Hana's question, he did his best to flatten out the wrinkles in his clothes. Then he looked up to face her, now free from her grasp. "Coincidence, actually," he responded with a careless shrug, "It's a funny story." He paused, thinking of how to sum his experience up properly. "I was drinking at the old house, saw some wet prints, realized it was getting late, caught the last train, chased a rumor or two... Now I'm here. The end." On second thought, that wasn't a very funny story. Oh well. "Now that that's said, I'm heading in too," he continued, "Care to show the kids and me around, nee-chan? I think the one giving me the stink eye is itching to get some R and R."

Hana Kurosawa

"Good, Takkun." answered Hana in a curt manner, her attention suddenly drawn at the two impatient fellow female ghouls who had taken the initiative to already trudge into her clinic like they owned the place. I oughta teach those two a little of pattience and manners. She added, clasping her hands to tend of both twins and made signals to Mii-chan and the other two kids to follow.

The automatic sliding doors opened revealing the full spectacle of a bunch of wounded human flesh, and in the middle, a ghoul undertone. The mousy, pink bleached petite receptionist had also picked the scent of the other two female ghouls who had trudged inside the clinic, and that had made her more fidgetty than usual. She looked at her employer, Hana, unsure what to do.

"u..u...miss, you can't...go...uhh...there!" She addressed the umbrella maniac, obviously with a trembling, intimidated voice. She also positively blanched as she eyed Takumi, probably thinking the clinic would be overrun by strong ghouls in any moment.

"Don't worry, Yoko. They're personal acquaintances. I bumped accross them" Hana smiled at the receptionist. Other staff members could be seen around, shuffling, and nodding at the supposed owner's voice, before continuing. Most of them had earrings, scars and tattoos, probably coming from rather unsavoury backgrounds."Takkun is with me aswell, and um... we found a bunch of lost kids. Rather weird night to jog." Hana chuckled so slightly, waving the awkwardness of the situation. "Do tell Shen and CB that I might get a little busy..."

The receptionist nodded sagely, and scrambled a few moments before resuming her work, Hana strutting towards where Asoka was. And someone had, besides the weak yelp of the receptionist. The medic on duty. He was a rather tall middle aged man, with a toned constitution and a shaved scalp. But what set him apart were his dark, piercing eyes and a rather unnerving expressive smile in his face.

"She's right, you know. I am afraid waggling that umbrella will spread germs accross the other floors... and those are for the surgical equipment and select personal." The human looked down on the petite little tyrant ghoul. "It could mean rather hefty material and personal cost..." He said, crouching so slightly, his voice whispering in Asoka's ears."I wonder if your kakuhou would cover it in the black market." The doctor said, before retracting and smiling. "Ah, chief, Hello... those are your acquaintances, yes? Welcome, welcome! I'm doctor Shen! And now if you excuse me I have a shift to finish... and um... is it too late to ask for a rise in pay, Hana...chan?" The medic added, a shit eating grin plastered across his face as he belittled his boss in front of everyone.

"I'll think about it." Hana said, before producing a ornate, secure key and opening the rather large elevator, ushering everyone inside. "Fourth floor, here we go. The first and second floors are for normal people. And the third is for...guests who appreciate privacy, and are still human..." Hana blurted when the doors closed unto the group.

After a short while the doors opened, offering a rather eerie display of old felt and tasteless decoration. The fourth floor was still pretty much a love hotel in structure, save the reformed room of the end, Hana's own dwelling. On the plus side, there were showers and rooms for everyone involved, if they wished to take a nap.

"Hana-chan really needs to change the decoration of the floor someday." She announced as she began walking towards her room. "My room has the bathtub thou--- oh my' looks like Rinrin is a smart kitten who found the alternative ghoul entrance." Hana added as she smiled. "Knock yourselves out. I'll be...washing these two." Hana said to both kids, as she patted their heads."Mii-chan should help too! But Hana-chan thinks you boys can handle a shower by yourselves."

Takeshi

Takeshi ignored the newcomer, as he was much to busy glaring daggers at Kazuya, who simply ignored him as he followed the others into the building. This only further agitated the silver-haired ghoul, but he simply swallowed his pride and followed, not wanting to start another scene by attacking his annoying sibling again. As he walked in, he immediately noticed the creepy guy who seemed to be hovering around the Tiny Tyrant, and quickly decided to keep some space between him and them incase she decided o kick this guy through a wall of something, which he definitely wouldn't survive since he seemed to be a human, if what he smelt was correct.

Thinking about smells, unfortunately, brought his attention back to the newest member of their motley crew, who smelled like a human, yet at the same time, smelled like a ghoul as well. It was weird, and he had half a mind to say as such, but thought better of it. No need to antagonize someone who was minding their own business.

When they finally arrived at their destination, Takeshi simply clicked his teeth at Hana's comment, muttering 'No duh' under his breath, only to receive another smack upside his head from Kazuya.

"Ow! What the hell Kazuya?"

"Stop being an ass. Now let's go get you cleaned up already, you smell like shit."

"*Tch* Says the one with Shit for brains."

"Oh-no, that hurt my feelings so much. I can't keep up with your masterful combacks anymore Takeshi, they're just so clever," Kazuya said in a mockingly over-dramatic fashion, hand over his heart as he turned away from his sibling in mock hurt, before turning back around with a smug look on his face. "Now then, if you don't hurry up, I won't have to tell everyone about how y-"

Takeshi leapt past his older brother before he could finish that sentence, grabbing him by the collar and pulling him into the bathroom Hana had designated for them to use. The sound of arguing could be heard shortly after that, which quickly escalated into another fight from the sound of things, as the yelling got louder and things could be heard crashing into other things. However, they died down soon enough, and the sounds of showering could be heard coming from within.

Takumi Minamoto - Island in a Sea of Troubles
3rd Ward, Sakura Clinic, Fourth Floor

'This is no ordinary clinic.'

That was Takumi's first thought upon passing those sliding doors and entering the clinic for the first time. 'And not in the sense that it's harboring ghouls, I'd reckon.' While he had little experience in the realm of civilian clinics, the young half-ghoul knew for a fact that the individuals staffing and patronizing this business were not of the standard variety. The professional establishments he'd visited rarely staffed a single rough-looking individual, but it seemed this clinic employed a vast majority of unscrupulous-looking folk. It made him slightly uncomfortable, to say the least. He was not intimidated, of course; if he was afraid of a few thugs, he would've been dead long ago. No, it was that he was surrounded by people who he would've been eating on any other day. There was also the possibility that his actions elsewhere could affect him here, but he'd already done what he'd done so there was little use in pondering the consequences.

As they continued onward, Takumi watched a fidgety young ghoul attempt to get Asoka to stop her wanton umbrella twirling to no avail. He would've simply written that situation off as 'something that happened', if not for the girl's adverse reaction to himself. "...Eh?" A look of confusion flashed across the young man's face. In comparison to all the scars and tattoos out and about, he was pretty sure that didn't look all that intimidating by comparison. He didn't smell that bad, did he? With a somewhat worried expression, Takumi lifted the neck of his jacket and took a whiff of his own scent. It was... acceptable? '...Probably.' He was going to clean himself up soon, so he didn't much worry about that either. At any rate, his appearance seemed to cause her undue distress, so Takumi figured that an apology was in order. "Don't worry," he reassured, "We're not here to cause trouble or anything."

Then they came across another figure on their road to relaxation: a guy. Just a guy. A completely, 100% human male. Despite his relative harmlessness, Takumi couldn't help but think badly of this person. It wasn't his appearance, which itself was rather creepy, but instead the inflections of his voice. Takumi compared it to a doctor that he used to know, and decided that if they ever met, those two would likely get along badly. He waved in greeting at the doctor nonetheless before stepping into the elevator to stand awkwardly with the rest of the now-extended family. A few long, camp elevator music-filled seconds later and they were at their destination.

To be frank, Takumi lacked experience with using love hotels for their intended purpose. He did, however, have experience using them for cheap, temporary housing. Thus, he felt quite at home among the felt decor and discolored patches. 'I wonder if it's hard getting ghoul blood out of the floor,' he thought, aimlessly scanning his surroundings while Hana explained what was going on. "I mean, I hope so," Takumi blurted out at the end, not quite paying attention to what exactly he was saying.

Now left with the two bickering ones, Takumi was left to ponder the mysteries of belligerent siblings, scrutinized their conflict with only the mildest of interest in his green eyes. He briefly considered the possibility that he should be doing his job as a legal adult and keeping these two from tearing each others' throats out. However, he ultimately decided against that. 'They're ghouls,' he thought, sidestepping the silver-haired youngster who was dragging his resistant comrade towards the bathroom, 'I'm sure they won't get hurt too badly if I don't interfere.' As if he were watching a boat leave shore, his gaze slowly followed the children's metaphorical cloud of dust as they carved a path of destruction into their designated room. The astoundingly cacophonous sounds he heard coming from that room made him think that "path of destruction" comparison was not entirely unfounded. Soon after, the chaos was replaced with the peaceful pitter-patter of showering. The brunet blinked twice, "...Well okay then."

To avoid looking like a weirdo standing in the corridor all lonesome, Takumi headed towards one of the empty rooms to get his shower on.

Asoka "Mercury"

"Huh?"

Asoka's leisurely stroll through the clinic's corridor leading to the prized elevator would be interrupted by a particular staff member. Some big guy who thought it wise to get a little cheeky with his otherwise relatively harmless claim concerning Asoka's umbrella. Considering this clear threat as some kind of joke at first, the short ghoul peered at both directions to see if there wasn't some elaborate camera over there to catch her reaction. But all she was were people whom she swore had most likely worked with or against her in her 'side job'.

'Well damn, degeneracy plaza here.'

Actually, the idea of her kakuhou being sold into the black market wasn't nearly as thought provoking as the idea of regular people coming here to be treated. Whether human or ghoul. Asoka's best guess would be that these people generally had their reasons to not go to a normal hospital or fancy clinic, whether it be by their financial situation or just shit life choices. In times like these she truly realizes just how good she was to be, well, herself. Now if only she could get a flock of ugly friends around her so she can be the prettiest and thus the best of the gang. It wouldn't quite cut it with her siblings, unfortunately.

'Now you bud, your day's coming. A little market research wouldn't hurt me either, and I've found my assistant.'

The bizarre thing would be that Asoka's temper wouldn't be apparent here, at all. She was calm, and actually complied. She gripped the handle and stab the pointed end against the carrelage, putting a stop to her spectacle. It followed with an innocent smile and light giggle to enchant the man's rather mucky soul. It'd come to Hana's surprise that Asoka wouldn't react as stubborn as an ass, though such change in behavior in volatile creatures would usually be a source of worry.

Once in the elevator, cramped with the rest barring Rin, she could've swore some just beefed in there. She did keep her mouth shut, however, as the pressing desire to bathe in hot water consumed her fully. Perhaps even be one of the reasons why she suddenly became so docile. When they reached the fourth floor, the aesthetics didn't really hit her that hard. Apart from the fact that love hotels were useful places to conduct 'business', her dorm she resided in last year before renting an apartment looked a lot like this. And by looked like it, it also included people screwing like bunnies every night.

"And I'll be taking that. Knock if you need, okaythanksbye."

She nabbed one of the keys in Hana's hand before making her way over to the corresponding door. The idea of a bath in the boss' room was tempting, and the way it was formulated made some intents clear enough, but not when the one offering still smelled like that ruined, moldy house. Asoka walked the narrow hallway and eventually found the room door she randomly chose. Room number Seven to be exact, a pretty lucky number if she were superstitious like most idiots in her circle of friends in the human life. Once inside, she'd close the door without locking it and felt impressed by how clean it was.

Without a second to waste, she stripped herself of her somewhat expensive clothing, some LOOKING expensive. In the nude, she shamelessly abused of the hot water and let her bathroom get engulfed in steam. The little tyrant did waste about 35 minutes in there, dedicating only five minutes to actually cleaning herself, most of it was just her calmly enjoying the hot water. For a moment she thought of her cat, worried that she didn't feed it before leaving.

'Ehh, he can use the diet anyway.'

When done, she'd dry herself off with a towel before laying completely exposed on her bed. Just lying there, almost in a vegetative state as she closed her eyes and letting her hair dry naturally. Though now swamped with a handful of things to deal with including these kids and Itsuki being the belligerent ghoul they've all heard about, all she could really think of was how many people had screwed on this bed before she claimed it for herself.

Itsuki vs. Miyako, The Little Monster:Part One

All the lifeless bodies, sprayed blood, and various detached limbs weren't worth much in the end. They knew nothing and apparently weren't worth the time of day for anyone else. They were all worthless hoodlums who were squatting in shack. They would have made excellent bait for a bigger fish if somebody cared about their hideout but it appears no one did. A shame, really, however this was but a start to the Little Monster's spree across her hometown. There were plenty of other fish in the sea, after all, but they can wait. What was another few hours of her watchful vigil.

After about an hour, Miyako's patience paid off. A claimant, or at least someone who appeared that way, stepped in from the creaking doorway. She watched that somebody slipped into the warehouse from atop her perch on a steel beam. A man, tall. Reeked of ghoul. Visitor. Interloper. Target. A scratchy, male voice called to Miyako from the back of her mind. The phenomenon wasn't lost on the girl as she winced from her internal invader, but his presence has long been accounted for now so it came as no surprise. Besides, there were larger fish to fry as the labeled "interloper" wandered forward, deeper into the Little Monster's trap.

Miyako continued her study of the man, sizing him up, but also waiting for the opportune time to spring her little trap. The man, clearly a ghoul now that he had his Kagune emerged from his back, was almost certainly connected with the rabble Miyako had slain earlier. Otherwise, there was no reason for him showing up. He was probably a higher up because he came alone, at least that's what Miyako could smell. So it made sense to not waste words with the man, because clearly a peaceful envoy wasn't going to happen. Besides, people were plenty more talkative when tortured anyway... All thanks to her "master's" teachings.

So Miyako waited until the man was just beneath her and then aroused her Kagune and allowed her 'wings' to spread out behind her. She leapt from her perch and fell silently, closer and closer to her potential prey. At about halfway from the ground, she let loose a volley of crystalline RC cells, hoping to pepper the man before he even knew she was there.

Itsuki had to give his attacker on thing, they were smart and knew how to hide themselves well. He barely had anytime to react to the attack, their silent movements and the thick smell of blood in the enclosed air keeping him from detecting her until she launched her attack. He leaped to the side, suffering from a few grazes as he turned his gaze onto the attacker, taking in her stance and Kagune as he readied his.

Ukaku, eh. Annoying as hell, but I'm pretty sure that I can take her down quick if I can get in close, which is the hard part. That aside, given that she was just in a fight, she might just be a bit fatigued, so waiting until she tires out is also an option, though no preferable. Focus on getting in close and not taking damage, don't let her get the drop on you again. Focus. Breathe. Attack

With nary a second of hesitation, Itsuki bolted forward, using on of his Kagune to grab on of the dead bodies, and throw it at his foe, more as a distraction than anything else, while his other Kagune would grab a second body, this time holding it slightly to the side to act as a shield against her ranged attacks if the need arises. He'd attempt to get in close and lash out with his free Kagune, the clawed tendril to sink itself in her flesh, followed by pulling her in for a solid punch to her throat, which would be accompanied by the kagune wrapped around his arm to burst out to add a deadly amount of force to the strike as well since he was aiming to end this quickly.

Miyako's initial attack wasn't exactly the kill she wanted but a part of her felt delighted it wasn't going to be easy. Miyako landed just as the man tossed a chewed corpse towards her position. It was easy enough to duck under and Miyako fired a second volley of projectiles after recovering. Cleverly, the man used a second body to cover him as he approached so he was protected, but Miyako wasn't worried as the man closed the gap. She took a step back and braced herself for his attack...

Once the man was in close, he swung his Rinkaku hoping to smash the girl but Miyako sidestepped it, slightly moving towards the man as she dodged the tendril. As if expecting it, the man threw a high punch but again, Miyako's speed and reflexes were enough to allow her to weave around the punch. Her counter would be swift at this point, however. She would grab onto the man's wrist and lift her mask only slightly to bar her teeth and then she'd try to sink her teeth into the man's forearm. While this happened, she would activate the RC drips from where she had fallen and been standing only moments ago. Several thin but long crystal spikes would suddenly emerge from ground beneath the man and while not all would be accurate, she predicted a few would pierce the man in several places. Following this up, she'd pull her mouth away, tearing flesh from the man's arm and fire a third volley from her Ukaku but this time at point blank.

Itsuki grit his teeth in annoyance as he his opponent dodged his attacks, which was followed by a slight grunt as she went to bite his outstretched arm. However, instead of biting into the flesh of his forearm, she'd find her mouth beingade rather bloody by the jagged scales of his Kagune, which was still wrapped around his arm at the moment and protected him from the attack. Not so much the case for the spikes that suddenly shot up from the ground, as several found their way into his calves and outstretched arm.

His Kagune, however, were free, as he'd begun to unravel the other three that were wrapped around his limbs as she dodged his other attack. So when she tried to retreat and fire at him with her Ukaku, he'd also with four tendrils, wrapping them tightly around her outstretched wings, the jagged edges of the scales ripping and tearing the membrane and hopefully preventing it from firing as they were slowly crushed, two tendrils for each wing. This would leave him with one final tendril free which he'd use to try and grab at her head, followed by him lifting her up and smashing her into a nearby steel beam, than throwing her down on to the ground a short ways away.

With a pained grunt, he'd break the thin crystals as he freed himself, pulling them out with a pained hiss as he kept an eye on his foe. If there was a chance for it, he'd use one of his Kagune to pick up a spare arm, feeling like he'd need to feed on something to help him heal faster. As it was, he couldn't run or jump at the moment, and while he could feel his natural regenerative factor work a bit, he knew he wouldn't have much time before this crazy bitch attack again.

That Kagune is annoying, he thought as he flicked his Kagune, trying to get all of the excess RC cells off them, feeling that they had something to do with those crystals that came out of nowhere. I hate fighting tricky Kagune like this. Makes everything annoying and complicated.

Rin

After about 5 minutes of silence the rest of the group entered the room too. Rin didn't seem surprised and some of them hadn't even noticed her small presence in the room giving of a slight saddening aura. Rin jumped a little when Hana suddenly mentioned her with a bright smile on her face. She was telling Rin did good? Rin was confused, wasn't she mad? Or did she mean it in a sarcastic way... Rin blushed and verted her eyes the other way.

"S-sorry..."

Rin didn't know if she should have apologised or not but she felt like it would be a better thing to do. Rin watched all their behaviour from her own spot and said no more. Asoka went into the bath as the two brother siblings started fighting and the others tried settling in.

Rin wondered if the small once were hungry, it might have been hard to get food when they are this big. Rin never had gotten around needing to get food at such age. It was only when the old man died that she had to get her own food. She did learn it though but it was taxing to do so.

Rin could be found glancing at at the others from time to time and would look down at the ground if anyone had noticed. She had no more input on any of the actions happening in the room seeing no need to do so in any way. She was an observer after all.

Takumi Minamoto - Rinquisition
3rd Ward, Sakura Clinic, Fourth Floor

As much as he could understand the allure, Takumi was never much a fan of long showers. His years of living with many others, as well as his recent financial scarcity, made short military showers both a powerful force of habit and a necessity of life. That, and his aversion towards prolonged periods of purposeless stillness. Best to just it over and done with so he could get to better, more useful things. As a result, the young man was in and out of the shower in approximately the time it takes for a television commercial break to air its advertisements. He quickly dried himself off with a towel and began putting on the spare clothing he had with him, leaving his wet and dirty clothes in a pile next to his bag. He'd have to ask Hana where the washing machine was. He stepped out of the repurposed love hotel room with all the intention of going about completing that particular objective, only to hear the sounds of showers still emanating from various rooms; it seemed that the cost of early completion among a group was waiting for the rest.

That didn't bother the half-ghoul too much; he was a patient enough person. Besides, he could use this time to rest and relax like he was supposed to. Takumi rubbed the bridge of his nose. As reassuring as it was, the thought of respite didn't sit as well as it ought to with him. Perhaps if he had a nice novel, a few puzzles, or a coloring book or something.... He sniffed the air. Among the scent of bathstuffs, there was still the smell of uncleanliness about, mixed with something familiar but subtle. He turned his head to the source, only to see his "littlest little sister" in a corner all by herself. By the look and smell of it, she hadn't opted to shower like the others. Convenient, as she had made herself so silent and still and small that he might have not noticed her otherwise. It was definitely fitting; he'd give her that.

The middle-child recalled his youngest sister's earlier reaction to his appearance. Also fitting, but not at all satisfying in the least. Sure, she looked more or less the same as eight years ago, but there's no way she didn't change at least somewhat in the passing years. And with everyone else preoccupied showering or napping or helping people shower and nap, Takumi figured that this moment would be a good a time as any to catch up with Rin. Besides, who knows if he'd get the chance later? The Rin he knew was rarely the type of girl to just go out of her way to start the conversation. So with all the carelessness in the world, he approached the withdrawn teen, but rather than address her standing up and looking down, the brunet took a seat on the floor next to her. He was sitting in a similar position, with his back leaned against the wall, his knees bent, and his hands to his sides. It was like he was sitting in a peaceful meadow and not in the corner of a love hotel suite turned harbor house for ghouls.

Something told him that simply starting to talk immediately might be a bit overwhelming; so Takumi waited for a few moments to pass in silence before speaking. "S~o~! Rin!" he began, tone casual and cheerfully nonchalant, "It's really been a long time, hasn't it?" He sighed and crossed his arms atop his knees, knowing exactly how unsubtle he was being with where he was going from here. Well, it's not like he or she could expect any different: he'd always been a bit too direct for a decent smalltalk lead-in. Leave the talking to the politicians and interrogators, and the work to... "Bah, like that's gonna go nowhere," he admitted. "I'll just be straight with you: What've you been getting yourself up to lately?" he asked, turning to face the girl directly but speaking more concernedly, "Life's been good so far, I hope? Eating well, staying out of trouble, having fun, and all that rot?"

Rin

There was definitely a difference between the times the boys and the girls took their showers, Asoka was in for the longest period of time with the small girls followed up after, she didn't know if Hana also took a bath together with the girls so it might had to do with the fact they were in for so long needing to wash 3/4 girls at once. The boys were in a shorter period though, the two younger once didn't take long but Rin was quite surprised with how short Takumi was in. Well she knew shorter and colder showers were good for the bills and the skin itself. It wouldn't be as dried up as that of Asoka right now. Well what was she suppose to care, if she would try to say anything to Asoka she might get mad or worse. Rin would just let the girl enjoy her bath.

Takumi had apparently noticed her presence and started coming over towards her, Rin would quickly look away from him without any words. She didn't know the older brother too well yet he always seemed nice towards his siblings. He looked like the cool guy who would be able to talk to anyone and had not been shy in the least towards others. They didn't fit really together, she would just feel like a bother if she were to hang out with him.

In the time she had been thinking back on him Takumi sat down next to her. He smelled nice. A sweet red blush spread over Rin her cheeks as she could feel the heat from Takumi against her. Rin kept staring in front of her with her chin against her knees not saying any word about his actions. It felt kinda nice having someone to be with you. She hadn't experienced this in a long time. Well apart from her colleagues sometimes spoiling her because of her height but that was it. Rin took a quick glance at Takumi without him noticing. He had changed a lot over the years, but there were still some remarks from back then shown on his face.

In silence the two sat, it all seemed nice and peaceful as Rin had almost started forgetting about the time Takumi spoke. Rin's head shot up a little at his voice but she placed it against her knees again as his deep voice continued... She didn't know Takumi was just like her two sister. Seeing her as a cute little animal, well she didn't mind. Better than being called a pip squeak.

It was as usual as any conversation she had so far. About her life and how she had been, well that wasn't to be suspected any different. It was a miracle if anyone would find a interesting topic to talk about with the biggest introvert of the group. Rin kept her gaze pointed at the floor as her soft voice crackled.

"Y-yea... I rented an apartment... I have a job... nothing more interesting though... Colleagues sometimes ask me to go with them..."

Rin blushed a little at the last sentence showing that she was quite happy with having some sort of friends at least. Otherwise she would be sitting in front of the tv or walking around somewhere outside with not much on her mind. Rin turned her face somewhat over to Takumi.

"You...?"

Takumi Minamoto - Rinquisition II
Third Ward, Sakura Clinic, Fourth Floor

Takumi couldn't say he was completely surprised that his questions were met with silence. His conversation partner was, after all, not particularly inclined towards social interaction. He turned to face the door, waiting for one of his siblings, or even one of the orphans, to appear and erase the awkward silence between the two very different siblings. He was about to accept that he wouldn't get much ground before he heard that soft hiss of a voice characteristic of the scarred young ghoul. Quickly, he turned back to face her and listened to her patiently as she answered his sole serious inquiry. After she'd been rendered red-faced and silent once more, the one-eyed ghoul considered her answer for a moment.

And then he began to laugh, just not at Rin. That fact might not have been completely clear at first, though. In actuality, despite not noting any particularly interesting changes or providing any entertaining anecdotes, he was hardly displeased with her answer. While he may have been so sufficiently human as to render the concern moot for himself, he was well aware of how difficult it was for a ghoul to maintain an average lifestyle. Besides, even something as simple as owning an apartment and maintaining a steady job was far more than he could say for himself. In all honesty, he was kind of inept at living a civilian lifestyle. He didn't particularly mind his own lifestyle, though. After all, working as a salaryman was too much of a grind for someone like him, and if he wanted to benefit society, he had more direct methods to choose from that suit his skills far better. Ultimately, as long as he could keep living how he chose, he would be content enough with his place. Maybe not completely, but enough.

He scratched at the side of his left eye. "Haaaah...." he let the last few laughs out of his system, "Sorry for that. it's not your fault; it's mine." Takumi sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, noting that he'd definitely not given Rin enough credit. She wasn't as small and weak as he'd thought at first. He sighed. "Good job, I'm sure the old man would be proud of you," he grinned, lifting his hand to affectionately ruffle her hair.

Of course, he would've left the conversation at that, but he'd realized that still hadn't answered her question. And he knew he'd have to do it sooner or later. "Guess there's no harm to telling you," he said, using it equal parts as a neat transition and a way to brace himself for the coming exposition. "Since I left Tokyo, I've just been travelling around Japan," he shrugged. His relaxed body somehow became even more relaxed as his gaze stopped attending to Rin and began focusing on a particularly interesting patch of wall to her left. "It was fun. Saw some nice stuff and made some friends along the way. A lot more enemies though." He smiled like that was some kind of funny joke. "Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures. I guess the idea just didn't occur to me at the time." And by that, he meant that he hadn't made a point of meeting up with his siblings. Oh well. "Anyway, enough about me," he said, his uncharacteristic degree of lethargy returning to more suitable levels, "I'm sure you don't want to hear someone like me talk about boring stuff like that." He waved his hand and got up off the floor to stretch his arms out. "Sounds like everyone's almost done showering..." A thought occurred to him, and he turned to look back at his conversation partner.

"Say Rin, where's Itsunii gone off to, anyway?"

Ward 3, Minato, Tokyo

Hana Kurosawa

Hana knelt besides the bathtub, her hands find their way in a gentle way, massaging and kneading the scalp of one of the two infants that were resting inside the filled tub. Opposite her, the other girl know as Mii was imitating her, as if she was a past version of herself. Hana, of course had discarded all clothes before entering the bath, and instructed everyone else to do so. There were rythmical sounds coming from both sounds, who were slowly becoming more and more relaxed, like a couple of half-asleep kittens.

"Umu..."

"Umu..."

"Alright, Gin-chan, Kin-chan, we're done scrubbing. Now it'll be our turn, Mii-chan." Hana herself announced, after being told the names of both kids by Mii. She herself seemed to be a bit of a passive person, but with a little nudge, Hana had managed to convince her to be her helper in this task."Need a little help?"

Mii stared at Hana. Or more concretely, at Hana's naked body for a second. Her gaze narrowed a little. Was it jealousy? She cast her gaze away and then Hana understood why. She had heard it too.

"They're at it again." She sulked, referring to the faint struggle sounds that came from one of the nearby rooms.

"Ahhh...Well, don't worry. I don't think they can cause much harm. Still they need to be scolded. OH! I know. How about if they're Hana-chan and Mii-chan's maids for a week? Complete with maid outfit!" Hana added as she began to gently rinse the water out of the twins, helping each to get out of the tub and get dry. The older female added with a wink of complicity towards the younger one, which finally made a small hint of laughter in the corner of her mouth.

"Well then, you smell all much better now! Nice and clean!" She cheered, patting both of the twins heads softly, before turning to her grooming. She carefully unknot her own hair and began to soak her skin.

"uh...why? Why are you doing this?" Mii suddenly blurted out, finding courage to ask after the whirlwind of developments in her life."What is your intention?" Her gaze became piercing all of a sudden, her lack of trust finally surfacing. Hana just smiled, as she pat the younger ghoul in their head.

"We ghouls oughta look for their own. And not too long ago, I was the one asking an old man that same question. I am just returning what was given to me. Besides, if we don't care for eachother... I don't think humans will." Hana pondered "The world is after all, a cruel place. And you shouldn't be tossed on it without the opportunity to grow up." She let go of Mii, as she resumed her own bath.

And found the twins were missing from their spot.

"DAMN!" The ghoul medic jumped all of a sudden outside, finding the door of the bath ajar. The giggles of both twins could be heard, as they were running around in their birthsuit.

"I'm going to win the race!"

"No, I will!"

But they couldn't calculate that Hananator was on their heels, her also naked figure at cruise speed, catching with the two soon afterwards. "No. Hana-chan wins. And you kids are going straight to the bath."

Of course the only way the situation could be made more awkward was if someone had seen the whole display. And judging how Hana was now both staring at Takumi and Rin, she had been seen. Hana chose to pay no heed to her naked predicament, instead trying a lame attempt of a jab towards Takumi."Wow, Takkun, you're already trying to woo Rinrin? Such a casanova!" She then eyed her own naked display, one kid firmly grasped in each arm.

"Also, you saw nothing." She added, before turning back to the bathroom, and having them wait for Mii and herself to finish off. It didn't take much, fortunately. Finding clothes for the lot was a little trickier, but Hana eventually managed to lend Mii some of her old, teenager clothes and hospital gowns were a fitting choice for the twins.

The waft smell of a fresh corpse invaded the room then. From the elevator, an elderly figure in a janitor suit mindfully pushed a single cart with an adult-sized body bag. The male ghoul was rather crude, and a bit of a hunchback, with balding white hair and beady black eyes. He nevertheless looked fit for his age and he had a solid, thick muscle core in his waist.

"Lo' Boss. I heard you had guests. Got one. Yakuza showdown. Fresh. No one will miss him. Poor lad." The figure curtly said, before tipping his hat and mumbling down, decided to come downstairs again.

"Um, thanks, CB." Hana said in response, before zipping the bag open."I always wanted to say this..." She inhaled deeply..."KIDS, DINNER TIME!" She beckoned.

Takeshi and Kazuya

Takeshi and Kazuya had, after a few more muttered arguments and traded blows, settled into a sort of calm impasse as they both set about to the business of getting clean. At Kazuya's insistence, takes hi was the first to take a shower of the two, as the older boy stated that he needed it a lot more than he did. After giving his brother the appropriate gesture for such a comment, Takeshi proceeded to shower, wondering got a moment what he'd use as clothing since didn't putting on his old clothes negate the purpose of showering in the first place.

Eh, who cares. I'll be cleaner than I have been for awhile As Takeshi began to wash his body, the water running black as rubbed of the filth of the streets from his frame, his thoughts turned backed towards his current situation, wondering, well and truly, whether the group was really safe here with these strangers. If Toru-nii had been here, Takeshi was sure that he would've been able to handle the whole situation a lot better than they had, with him and Kazuya attacking the ghouls without thinking, and leading to them all being captured, as there was no other war to see what happened to them. If wasn't for those damned Doves . . .

Takeshi faced contorted into a grimace as he thought back to the attack, the white suits that stood out against the blackness of the knight as they bore down on a single silhouette that faced of against them,f acing certain death or capture in order to give them time to escape. With a quick shake of his head, he refocused on the current situation, as there was no point in dwelling on that right now. It was up to him and Kazuya to make sure the others stayed safe above all else, so even if this place and these people where a nice respite from the struggles of street life, if he thought it would endanger the safety of his family, even that ass Kazuya, then he'd get them all out of there if it was the last thing he did. He wasn't going to lose anymore family to this world, that he was certain of.

He finished up after a while, drying himself off with a towel as Kazuya got in, the silver haired boy soon grumbling at how Takeshi had taken all the hot water for himself, and dressed up in the clothes he'd worn before as he walked out to the main area. Unfortunately for him, that was right a the moment when the two twins had decided to have their little race, and while the sight of the two naked ghouls gave him slight pause as he wondered what he should do in this instance, Hana's entrance stop him dead in his tracks, his face instantly blooming into a crimson red as he beheld the woman au natural. He was quick to turn around, and stayed as such until Hana had went back into the room. He'd then take a seat away from Rin and Takumi, his head down and still rather flush as he tried to focus his mind on literally anything but what he just saw. Kazuya came out a little while later, still rubbing his head with a towel, when he noticed his brother and his extremely red face.

"What's the matter, Takeshi, you catch those two doing something naughty or what, cause your face looks like a freakin' tomato right now." Kazuya gestured towards Rin and Takumi as he took a jab at his distressed brother.

"What, nonononon, I didn't see anything. I swear, no, I promise, and even if I did, it was an accident, yeah, an accident. Didn't mean it, I mean, if i did see something, I totally do it on purpose and . . ." Before Takeshi could ramble on anymore, Kazuya threw a towel at his face, mutter 'Yeah, yeah, I hear ya', having lost interest in messing with him as he began rattle on. He then went over to where Hana and the others were, eager to get some grub.

Takeshi quickly took the towel of, giving a light glare towards Kazuya, walking over to join the others for the meal while making an effort to look everywhere but at Hana, trying and failing to take his mind off of seeing her in the buff. N fact, the more he tried to forget it, the more prevalent in became in his mind, and the redder his face seemed to get, as he waited for the woman to give them permission to eat. While he normally wouldn't care and just dig in, he wasn't very eager to interact with the cheery ghoul woman at this time.

Rin

When Rin told Takumi about her life in a few sentences he started to laugh. Rin knew it was pretty pathetic but laughing about it? She didn't remember him being this rude. Rin returned to her usual sulky self and looked away from Takumi, not talking again. She started to feel uneasy about this whole conversation with Takumi. He had his last laughs and looked quite awkward after his laughs. She didn't know if he meant it or just felt happy for her but once he mentioned the old man being proud of her she could not help but feel a slight shiver going over her body. It wasn't a bad feeling, more like an uneasy feeling that she hadn't felt in a long time. She did give a small smile at Takumi showing him she felt okay with it and was happy to hear such a thing from him.

Takumi told the story of his past 8 years. It sounded a lot different than hers and way more interesting. Well that might have been since her life hasn't been that active or special in any way. So other people their stories mostly sounded more interesting.

"N-no, I don't mind you telling about your life... I haven't seen Itsunii yet but, Hana and Asoka told me he was busy with making enemies...?"

Rin coughed a little at her last few words and gave a small shrug before continuing her activity of looking forward. Her peaceful life seemed over however as the bathroom door opened widely with two small girls running out. Rin immediately jumped into action by rolling onto Takumi to block the sight of the two naked girls. With a straight face she hugged Takumi's head as tight as she could and looked down to see if he could see anything. She turned her sight over towards the naked girls to see what they were up too and didn't look bedazzled in the least.

Hana thought Takumi made a move on Rin but they had only been talking until now so she was in the right this time. Rin wouldn't fall for love so easily. However the situation they were in at the moment wasn't helping with Hana's impression on the two of them. As they went back into the bathroom again Rin dropped back to her seat and gazed at the wall besides her without a word. Kazuya had to tease Takeshi about being red and thought it was the fault of Rin and Takumi. Rin did not even flinch at his words and remained being the emo way she was at the moment.

A while later when everyone was dressed again Hana called out after a short sound of the bell towards everyone to come eat. It made Rin a little happy to see Hana did something like this for the kids. She looked pretty prepared for it even though Rin did not seen Hana have much contact with anyone besides the group. Some meat wasn't so special for any ghoul to have, but an entire body? That raised some suspicion.

Takumi Minamoto - Touchy Nature
3rd Ward, Sakura Clinic, Fourth Floor

"Good to hear I'm not being a burden to you just yet, then," Takumi puffed out his chest with overstated pride. "Or maybe that just means my lifestory's not that boring, heh," he added rhetorically, going back to his more subdued energy. This carefree atmosphere surrounding him didn't last too long however, and it quickly dissipated at the mention of Itsuki's whereabouts and his current activities. "What?" he asked, though the way he said it indicated that it wasn't really a question. "So he's getting into fights again..." he grit his teeth in a forced kind of grin. It appeared he was only barely addressing Rin, "...Man, that guy..."

And that was when the two naked children ran across his field of view, interrupting Takumi's moment of despondency. He opened his mouth to comment on the unusual situation, before slowly closing it into a hard line. 'Should I... Should I be doing something about that?' he wondered with brow furrowed. Before he could act on any of his parental impulses however, Rin got him on the ground and wrapped her body around his face. All in all, a rather compromising position? At any rate, it looked like his siblings were a lot clingier as a whole than he had remembered; this was what, the second time tonight his body had been subject to the hugging of women? Well on the brightside, at least it was warm... Or maybe that was just his face, but as far as emotions went, he was really more befuddled than embarrassed.

It was then he heard a third set of wet footsteps coming from a bigger person rapidly crossing distance. He heard the footsteps stopping, he heard the water dripping, and he heard Hana making a remark about his apparent womanizing ways. Takumi wanted to defend his position, but he knew that opening his mouth would just get him a mouth full of Rin's clothes and/or flesh. His eyes were covered, so he didn't really know what was touching what at this point, nor did he want to test his luck in that regard. There was one question he was dying to have answered, however: 'What the hell is a 'casanova'?'

There was a short pause before he heard Hana issue a command to forget what they had seen. Considering he couldn't do much of anything, that was a rather easily completed task for Takumi. Granted, he could make a reasonably accurate guess as to what it was he didn't see, but he'd follow Hana's instructions. And knowing Takumi, this was the expected course of action. He tried shifting his head to the side to clear enough space for him to answer. "Affirmative, ma'am," came his muffled answer, followed by a restrained thumbs up just in case his answer wasn't properly conveyed. Rin was still clinging to his face like a certain extraterrestrial lifeform from a popular horror movie, and it was only after he heard the three sets of feet stop their plodding into the bathroom, did Rin detach herself from his head.

Takumi fixed his newly-messed hair and flattened out the wrinkles on his shirt. While doing so, he glanced up and saw the white-haired youngster from before, looking a lot like he was about to die of embarrassment. The elder male snorted and smiled; what an unlucky kid, walking in on that kind of thing. Shortly afterwards, the other boy - the one the silver-haired one had been fighting earlier - emerged and also made a quip about he and Rin doing lewd things. Takumi looked at Rin, then to the children. He wasn't sure how comfortable he felt about that insinuation, so he decided to just focus on watching Takeshi sheepishly ramble on, instead of trying to deny this claim and escalate the situation.

Suddenly, the smell of corpse met his nose, followed by the clarion call of the de-facto mother figure issued from the elevator. He recalled the last time he'd eaten - a few days ago - but judged it as adequate sustenance for the time being. That said, he wasn't entirely comfortable not knowing where this corpse came from. A dead guy from wherever is fine, but this kill seemed fresh and he couldn't confirm whether he was killed for the sake of food or for some other reasons. Bullet holes made him think not hunt-related considering the low-availability of guns in Japan and the rarity of a gun-toting ghoul, but you never know... "I'll sit this one out," Takumi held his wrist, "I... ate pretty recently, and the kids must be hungry so... Yeah."

Asoka "Mercury"

Asoka hadn't bothered to turn off the lights or anything. No, she was too comfy on the love hotel bed to do anything about it. Eventually, she'd dive into one of these micro-naps; she'd fall asleep only to wake up rather brutally after a minute or so. While refreshing, it surely didn't make her now pounding head feel any better. The little ghoul was clearly tired, a lot more than she made apparent when they arrived. It may be due to her long hours in university coupled with the mess she had gotten herself into for a living. She coped with all of this pretty well, going as far as having a normal social life as well. But it taxed her a whole lot eventually.

What woke her up wouldn't be anything related to stress. Oh no, the circus going on outside of her assigned room was the major issue. While the shady girl was indeed used to abundance of activity in the most populated ward of Tokyo, cars roaring at night, trams soaring through the rails near her apartment, her neighbors putting up parties since she kind of lived in a student loft after all. But a bunch of kids coupled with people just chit chatting at the hallway were just a nasty combo. Especially the latter, while not loud it was obnoxiously easy for her to hear it and make sense of what they were saying. As such, it was very distracting. A pillow over her ears would do little good for her superior senses defied her in this dire situation.

Asoka arose from her slumber and reached out for a drawer near her bed. Just as she thought, a towel would be clean and ready for her to use. Wrapping herself to keep at least a little sense of dignity, she'd finally walk over to the door whilst shouting:

"Okay you two geeeeettttt aaaaaa rooooooooommmmmmmmm!"

The wailing psycho would open the door just as she finished, evidently addressing Rin and Takumi. Clearly she'd rather hear them fuck than talk about such mundane things. Well Takumi's adventures could be interesting but he made it sound boring. But she could never prepare herself for what she was about to see. First off, two little girls all naked while being scolded by a taller naked ghoul. It didn't end there, however, as Rin was apparently stuffing Takumi's face in her breasts. Well from Asoka's angle and twisted point of view that'd be the narrative.

Seeing Hana naked was hot, the nude twins would be maybe a little endearing and Rin going hard on Takumi could be qualified as sexy, but all of those together just seemed so creepy. Almost absurd. Surreal. Her eyes were just wide open before she'd rapidly blink with her head shaking. At first she was speechless, but then she'd take a deep breath as she regained her composure.

"I ... I don't want to know. I've been enlightened, no more denial. I can't escape my fate. I am ... A degenerate magnet."

She announced before turning back into her room and slamming the door shut with her foot. There would be no more light emitting from her room, and complete silence would govern. Food or no food, it was time to sleep and get over herself. She could call this a day.

'Wait ... Was I talking to myself? Oh shit, it's contagious ...'

Rin

Rin's reaction wasn't fast enough to block the view of Takumi just in time. Rin gave a short inner sigh as Asoka stormed into the room, clearly mad with the softness of Takumi towards Rin. Asoka seemed rather weirded out by the sight she had gotten from the naked woman. Well Rin couldn't prevent that from happening but she didn't mind for her sister to see them like that. She was used to seeing some naked body parts back in the day anyway. Asoka seemed quick to leave again not wanting anything to do with it. Everyone went back to their activities again and Rin sat down again too. Her reflexes were still not fast enough, even not fast enough to prevent something as simple as this. Might cost her life someday.

Rin gave a quick glance at Takumi knowing she might have startled him with what she just did. Takumi seemed just fine when she had seen him sit besides her. He didn't look embarrassed in any way and acted like nothing happened. He was probably used to it or didn't think of anything when his siblings did it. It was the first time Rin every really hugged the boy to be honest. She didn't feel like it was any special, she only liked the warm feeling that came off him really but nothing more. A hug was really nothing special now she thought about it. It was pretty weird that it was a sign of good friendship though.

Not only Rin didn't want anything from the corpse that was lying in the room now, Takumi and Asoka didn't want it either. The kids most likely would eat the thing just because they need it and didn't have any clues on where it came from but didn't care either way. Corpses were corpses. Well Rin didn't force the kids not to eat or anything, it was food overall. Pretty hard to come by any way you look at it. Rin stood up for the first time she had entered the apartment, it was clearly showing she was up to something. Rin glanced back at Takumi that was still on the ground.

"I'm going home... You can either stay here or come with me for a sleeping place... I don't mind either way... Don't think anything weird about it..."

Her cold crackling voice sounded softly through the room, yet others might have heard it anyway. Rin continued to walk towards the exit past the corpse. She turned once more to address Hana and then left with or without Takumi following her.

"I'll come by tomorrow again... Call me if you need me..."

Ward 3, Minato, Tokyo

Hana Kurosawa

Hana eyed the situation carefully. One of the kids was red as a beet. Maybe because of the room wreck?. The corpse she had brought was there, displayed for everyone to see. But Takumi and Rin were displaying all sorts of reticence towards the catch. Corpses don't grow on trees, you know. She sighed, sadly, seeing how that after 8 years, the catchup she was hoping to have would never happen. Asoka had grown tired and was sleeping. But well, that seemed for the best. She had only displayed her bad traits as an adult. She had even called them degenerates. Where was the old Asoka? The one who clung to the old man so adorably?

Everything changed.

Takumi, the clumsy, clueless boy turned ghoul was now a grown man. Physically unrecognizable, but Hana was glad Takumi's mind seemed somewhat...familiar to what he used to be. He hadn't done a total flip. But he was still... somewhat reticent on some regards. Rin seemed to pick that up, and like a cat wanting for cuddles, had stuck on him like glue. It was good...except it wasn't. Takumi's condition. Hana really wanted to study him. How much could one blur the line between human and ghoul, exactly?

You teasing little... Hana thought for the briefest moment, as Rin surprised everyone by telling Takumi to flat out cuddle with her in her apartment. The nerve of some people! And she wasn't even talking to Hana. Nor asking for the cup of coffee. She was offering her best hospitality, damnit!

"You know Rin, I am reluctant to see you off. I mean, this ward might be my home quarters, but for someone like you, there's a lot of things to watch out for. Like the russian and Chinese ghoul gangs, on top of the CCG." She let that phrase with hopes she'd stay the night and save the sleepover, but it was faint. "Be careful, okay?"

The twins seemed to flinch upon the mention, eyeing Hana quizzically...fear was patent on their eyes. Mii displayed a very different scowl. Indignation. Probably feeling betrayed.

It was really hard to please everyone...

"Don't worry my sweeties. Hana-chan is more than enough to protect you. Now, let's eat, shall we? Takkun... it's a shame you don't want some. Still, you might learn instead of Hana-chan's craft!" She addressed the other adult, before turning to the epic sulking expression Mii had.

"What?"

"Ukaku. I'm the same as you. So watch intently, okay?" Hana blurted out, before flickering her kakugan, signaling the activation of her kagune...except it didn't, instead she cupped her shoulder blade, as her eyes turned normal after a fraction of second, producing one of the shards that usually were sent high speed towards targets.

"These are sharper than knives. It shall do."

It was then when the spectacle unfolded. Hana's supernatural speed was revealed, as the corpse suddenly was filled with cuts, faster than the eye could see. Guided by the hand of a knowledgeable medic, with the lightning speed of a ghoul. before long, the abdominal cavity of the corpse was revealed.

And not a single speck of blood had been spilled outside the bag.

The twins were positively agape. "THAT WAS SO COOL!"

"Male, age 23. Cause of death, massive hemorrage produced by gunshot in the small intestine and spleen. Fortunately, all other major organs have been spared." She paused. "I really should thank that Carrion Beetle. He really knows how to find these yakuza wannabe corpses who tried to live hard and died fast." She clasped her hands."Itadakimasu!"

With an equally swift movement, she set aside five plates. First, the liver, it was split into two parts, one for Kazuya and one for Takeshi. Mii got the full set of Kidneys. As for the twins, they held their plates impatiently, before Hana, using her Kagune shard cut the cranium of the man open, scooping up the brain and dividing it by half.

"Eat up, eat up! Innards are the most nutritive, but they go to waste first. We can always eat the other meat later!" Hana chided, as she dug deep into the cavity, ripping the corpse's heart and happily setting it on another plate. Her plate. "Ukaku perks. They really combine well with Hana-chan's medicine." She finally ventured to say, eyeing Mii. "I could teach you guys."

Itsuki vs. Miyako: Part Two

Miyako's quarry proved to be a little more resilient to her attacks than anticipated and had even managed to tilt the scales as his Kagune wrapped itself around her Ukaku and then around her head. Squeezed and pressed in the man's grip, Miyako was slammed against a steel support, where she could swear she felt a vertebrae or two pop out of place with a crack, and then tossed without impunity, away from the area. Eventually landing and sliding across the concrete flooring before forcibly coming to a stop as she bashed against a small pile of bodily parts.

Battered, Miyako lay on her side for a moment, watching her opponent as he broke through the crystalline spikes that impaled him all over. She was sore, with her back being the epicenter of her problem as something felt out of place. Yet she couldn't help but feel giddy as that certain side of her seemed to creep up from the back of her mind. She hadn't been this compromised ever since Rome and since then, no fight has ever risked injury like this. The Little Monster turned and sat up as her giddiness eventually bubbled up to a quiet giggle and then eventually a full on maniacal laugh as she removed her mask and tossed it aside.

Miyako laughed for a few seconds longer before composing herself enough to excitedly state the obvious, "You're stronger than the others!" She bit her bottom lip as she admired the man before her. "Mmm... I like you."

Miyako didn't wait for a moment longer as her sanity seemed to wane and got up, wincing slightly as she forced herself to move despite her back. That did little to dissuade her from continuing, however. Once on her feet she stretched her back as she arched forward and reached a hand around, feeling the sore spot. It was probably safer to call it off at this point but she wasn't rationale right now. Not even close enough to flee.

After she examined the damage, Miyako immediately sprang into action with no warning suddenly firing yet another volley of shards to impale the man. Once the action was complete she continued to run a circle around the man slowly winding her way closer to the focus of her circle, the man himself, occasionally turning to fire another volley as she studied the man's reaction.

Yeah, definitely dealing with crazy here. . . Itsuki thought as his opponent began to fall into maddened laughter, letting out a slight sigh of annoyance. Fucking hate dealing with crazies too. This just isn't my day.

Itsuki didn't reply when the woman complimented, just waiting for the inevitable barrage, his Rinkaku tentacles waving softly around him in preparation. Thankfully for him, her laughter had allowed his legs to heal up, which meant that he'd be more agile than if she'd attacked sooner. When she rose to the ground, he caught her wincing and chose this moment to charge forward, wanting to end this woman while she was distracted. However, she responded to his dash with barrage of RC crystals, which he shifted to the side to dodge, catching a few with his tendrils and cursing as his target began to circle him, launching barrages at him when he tried to close in from time to time. Eventually he stopped, watching her circling him for a bit, before suddenly making another charge.

This time, however, three of his Rinkaku kagune would meld into each other, forming a larger tendril which he'd use with the other three to form a sort of barrier in front of himself, the tendrils catching a majority of the projectiles heading his way as he closed and, when close enough, lashed out with his large tendril fast. This attack was notably slower than her other ones, but it was followed by a thrust from the other three with the intent of grabbing her of she dodged. The larger Kagune would also split into three again, and would slam down onto the ground, either to crush his captured pray or to bring up a large cloud of dust with the force of the blow, concealing him from his opponent's view.

After her brief skirmish of minimal success, her opponent decided to charge with three of his tendrils merging to form a shield before becoming a large, clumsy weapon. The Little Monster leapt backwards out of the attack's more limited range in order to dodge it. This attack was notably slower than his previous attacks and while most would have written off the attack as just naturally being that way, Miyako's experience cautioned her about a possible farce as the man behind the Kagune shield was partially concealed. Sure enough, three tentacles darted out in a staggered spread forcing Miyako to quickly roll off the ball of her feet and fall to the side as she dodged the attack. She ended up turning ninety degrees fell backwards to the ground, partially out of design but mostly due to the close call. However, she didn't dwell there long and quickly recovered using her momentum to carry herself into a backwards somersault. She didn't know it, but this maneuver helped prevent a rather hard hit from the guillotine swing from the man's three tentacles as the impact of the hit scattered dust everywhere.

Perfect... Miyako thought to herself as a smirk crept on her face. The dust was a perfect cover for a faster ghoul and she'd take advantage of that. She sprang to her feet and charged headlong into the dust cloud, firing volley of RC cells to cover her approach towards the man. Once she found him, she would attempt an acrobatic kick aimed right at the man's cheek before following it up with a hopefully a second, more mortally wounding volley of shards.

Come on, you know you want to finish me off.Itsuki thought, gritting his teeth as the first barrage of slammed into his outstretched Rinkaku, the tendrils coiled around him in a barrier against the onslaught of projectiles being sent his way. Due to him being unable to tell what direction they'd be coming from, he'd opted for a partial coverage in every direction, meaning that a few of the crystals manage to get through, but he was able to survive the onslaught with only a few minor injuries. After the first barrage halted, he waited patiently, knowing that his foe would rush in sooner or later. She was too bloodthirsty to stay back and pepper him from a distance, that was clear already from the remains of those he'd seen walking in here and what he noticed about her during the fight.

I just need to get another hold of her again . . .

He didn't have to wait long, however, as he heard her approach through the cloaking cloud of dust, knowing exactly she was coming from and only needing to ready himself to take advantage of the first opening he saw. As she cam flying into view, he'd lash out with Rinkaku, going for a downward slam again with two tendrils, followed by the other four thrusting to impale her while she laid on the ground. He was getting tired of playing and wanted to end this now, so he could get started on looking for a new abode. This was becoming increasingly undesirable with every passing second.

Miyako was just barely able to avoid the attack, though was forced to back off, sending out a barrage of shards that peppered Itsuki, who was got a bit off guard. He was barely able to cover any vital areas with an arm and one of his Kagune before he got hit, a lot of the shards digging deeply into him and causing more than a little bit of pain. Hissing in pain, Itsuki was about to charge in again, except when he heard another set of footsteps enter the building. Turning around, he saw two Doves walk into the scene cautiously, one woman and one man. But more importantly, the man was currently putting away what he could only guess was a walkie talkie as he entered the building.

Shit! Itsuki cursed, instantly turning his attention from the loon to these two intruders, or more to the point, to incapacitating them. With his Rinkaku spread out, he'd charge towards them, causing them to draw their quinque in preparation, only to slam them all into the ground, using the power and leverage to send him flying over the two and throw a nearby window. He'd land with a muttered curse, the pain blossoming in throughout his body from the shards still lodged within making him feel quite annoyed. Normally, two Doves would, most likely, not be a problem, but the fact that one was putting something away was a telling sign that they'd called for reinforcements, and that was something he certainly wasn't up for dealing with right now. So, with that in mind, the only option that made sense was to flee, and he knew that the ghoul he'd been fighting(crazy a bitch as she was) would likely do the same.

Getting up a bit slowly, he turned only to barely dodge a shot from one of the quinques, letting out a curse as he wrapped his Rinkaku around himself, forcing his body to move even if it resisted the motions. Launching himself down the streets, he then sought out every alleyway and shortcut that he'd surveyed in this ward for just this occasion, and though it took sometime, he eventually managed to lose them by ducking into a sewer grate. Once he was sure that they weren't coming back, he quickly set about making his way down the sewer way, remembering what Hana had said about owning a clinic in the third ward. He'd heard of a similar rumor during his time in the 24th, as well as in the past couple weeks, so he already had a good idea of where it was located.

As he made his way there, he took the shards that were still left in his body out, letting out more grunts and hisses of pain as he did so. Eventually, he got them all out and was feeling much less okay than he had before. letting out another curse, he continued to make his way to the third ward, eventually exiting the sewers as he did so, using backstreets and alleyways exclusively, and doing his best not to leave a blood trail as he did so, with only moderate success. Finally, however, he made it to the clinic, barging in rather unceramoniously, his mask off and his teeth gritted with pain. He could smell a lot of humans around, which gave him pause as he thought he'd come to the wrong place, but then he smelled a ghoul at the counter, a pink haired young woman that looked a bit terrified by the sudden appearance of this bloody individual. Now, he could be wrong and this could just be a ghoul woman who had found the best place to work ever, but he had a feeling in his gut, besides the hole in it, that this was the right place.

Walking up to the counter, he leaned against the edge, taking a moment to steady himself before he spoek to her.

"If you wouldn't mind getting Hana for me, that'd be great. Need to make a bit of a selfish request. If she asks who it is, tell her Itsuki. And please make it quick, I'd rather not bleed out all over this floor and all."

Takeshi and Kazuya

Kazuya and Takeshi dug into the meals offered, Kazuya more so than Takeshi, who was still a bt red in the face, though eating helped calm him down quite a bit. It was a lot better than what they'd eaten back at the house given how fresh it was, and neither of the two payed much attention to how the meal had been acquired. They were just glad to get something like this without having to worry about the CCG or another Ghoul bursting on the scene. While Takeshi was just focusing on the meal, Kazuya was paying attention to Hana and Mii, feeling the need to put out his own two cents when he heard of Hana suggesting she teach his younger sibling on how to use her Kagune.

"I wouldn't, Hana-san, or else you'll find both me and Takeshi carved up more often than not if you teach her that."
