Somehow hidden out of sight, probably because he was off screen. The heroes seemed to be in trouble, but this was an impatient slime. And as such, to hurry things up, he would attack. The heroes would find themselves swept up in a wave of slimes. Even though they were slimes, the number would be an almost instant party wipe out.
With the heroes gone, the slime would wander out in front of the slimes that had done battle. These brave slimes were exactly what he was looking for. Of course, they would instantly recognize him as the king of slimes, the slime king!
"Brave slimes! You are just what I seek!"
The slime king would bellow out in slime language. In a slime accent so thick even the other slimes would have a difficult time understanding him. Though they would get the gist of what he said. He would Bob up and down, before two winged slimes would bring down a strange item, a block, with buttons labeled with letters and numbers and symbols.
"Recently, my friends! We have recovered the artifact 'quest generator'. With this, we slimes can become just as powerful as those evil heroes! Tell me, will you become my slime knights and fight for our rise to the top!"
The cliche heavy dialogue would be grating, but no doubt the allure of not having to deal with heroes anymore would be appealing. Though it was possible it wouldnt be.
The heroes would find themselves respawned in an inn. Over to the side, the innkeepers daughter would say something about them having been found by some mysterious force, and having been brought here. They would have a moment to catch their breath before the words "quest complete" would appear, and a new objective would show up. Talk to slym.
