Gods Of A New World (Interest Check)

It's an alternate world. We're not self inserts. Instead of demigods, our Father and Mother are deities, usually from Another Pantheon, this is not cheating, but selective eugenics from the gods, to ensure that the universe is protected from the Xenomorphic Gods of the Outer Void. The Great Old Ones and the like are similar creatures to our enemies. The year is 2057 and thus technology is superior to present days that we live in. As our parents grow weaker through some kind of divine atrophy, we will become the only line of defense against The Lovecraftian like gods that threaten all existence.

*The Cthulhu Mythos it'self is not what I mean by Great Old Ones and Outer Gods. The Lovecraftian enemies of ours are alien gods completely separate from the like minded Outer Gods and Great Old Ones.

True, but I think that a great deal of the tactical superiority we have now would come from communication and transportation advantages, but that's just me. So do the nazis only have personal weapons or do they also have big advantages in the transportation/ communication and information gathering fields.

Well I was thinking that the resistance is a small, hidden faction of no more than 50,000 personel. So compared to the Nazis, we are less powerful than the Colonials vs British Empire during the Revolution.

That's why we have vast supernatural powers.

This looks really promising! I'm definitely interested! How many players are you planning on getting? Also, how much occult power do the Nazis have? I mean, at what level are their basic troops and what kind of actual powers do they have at their disposal?

The basic Nazi grunt doesn't have any Occult power except maybe the ability to not be targeted by Lovecraftian anomalies. However officers, high ranking soldiers, etcetera could have a lot of power, maybe the ability to become Lovecraftian monsters themselves, conjure some more, etcetera.
However, the Nazis have energy weapons, and even with modern day weapons rather than futuristic weapons, we could wipe the floor with our grand parents and great grand parent's armies.

Basically, the idea is that Nazi Germany has technology one hundred years in advance of the rest of the world, and Lovecraftian Occult power. It has energy weapons and we're basically cavemen in comparison. The setting is based in The United States, and we're in the most powerful bastion of resistance against the Nazi occupation in the world. A random omnipotent being has given each player some kind of uniqueness, usually some kind of power, competency or strength that is based on fictional people in comics, video games, books, movies, etcetera.

For example, I'm planning on having someone with the power of a god from a D20 setting. Maybe Takhisis from Dragon Lance, or Rovagug from Pathfinder, or maybe even Mystra from the Forgotten Realms. "Lesser" gods, like Zeus, Ra, Odin, etcetera, and non omnipotents are allowable to have, as well as characters like Alpha Level Mutants. (Storm, Apocalypse) Jedi and Sith like Mace Windu, Palpatine, Darth Vitiate, etcetera.

Major Domain: War (Gaun Yu could fight through scores of enemies single handedly even as a mortal, as a god, he could effortlessly kill tens of thousands of enemies)
Minor Domain: Strength (Guan Yu doesn't just have skill he has obscene strength too)
Relic: The Green Dragon Crescent Blade (a powerful Guan Dao, which is a Chinese weapon)
Bio: Guan Yu was born in China in the 200's AD. He killed a local bully who was harassing an old woman and eventually became a general. As a god, he protected Buddhist Temples throughout China. China wasn't hit as hard by Christianity as other nations, but Communism saw a plummit in religious beliefs and superstition, so he is not as powerful as he used to be.

As a deified human though, would he be an actual god (like Buddha), or a demigod? Either's fine.

He had supposedly became the God of War when he was deified. So he has a lot of worshipers who still, well, worship him. So he'd be pretty powerful in this RP.

@ActRaiserTheReturnedShiva is believed in and worshiped by over a billion people in the present day. If we get our power from belief/prayer/etc. (which is probably the most believable way of giving us a power source) she would have a fraction of all of the prayers and belief of a billion plus people. That would put her above any of the greek, roman, norse, or Egyptian gods at the height of their power.

So, she would be too OP for this RP, unless you can think of a reason for her to have lost most of her power.
