Etsu continued to watch the screen on her phone when all of a sudden, a ghastly shriek stopped her in her tracks. There was no discerning where it could possibly come from or whether male or female was responsible, and the shrillness of the cry in question had cut Etsu to the bone. Her eyes, widened in alarm, slowly peered off the screen and in a forward trajectory.

"Wh-who's there?" Etsu called out in a hesitant manner.

Unfortunately, the only sound that came in reply was a second bloodcurdling scream off in the far yonder. It might've sounded as though it had a slightly different pitch, but it still had a feel of androgyny to it. In her shock and awe, Etsu scanned the hallway she was walking along, genuine concern for her own safety written all over her face. She was all alone, classrooms seemed to have been outright abandoned, and the only colors Etsu could see for yards to come were white, black, grey, red... were the walls of the school even red in color, from a normal standpoint? Etsu couldn't remember for the life of her, and she'd regret not even paying the slightest attention to such a detail, but right now she was more focused on trying to find out what the hell was going on.

"I swear, if this is supposed to be a prank or a jump scare, I'm gonna find the asshole who thought of it and punch him in the face," Etsu muttered to herself; with that off her chest, her nerves seemed to be stable for the moment. She scouted around cautiously, even taking the chance to look over her shoulder to ensure that no-one was stalking her from behind. As she did, she noticed something suspicious about the way the walls were now colored. She reached her left hand out and nearly touched the wall before suddenly recoiling in fright, fearful of what laid before her eyes upon a closer examination.

'Is this... blood?' Etsu wondered, overridden with confusion.

...

While she had her phone out, Etsu's first instinct was to dial for emergency services and hold it to her ear, praying that someone would pick up on the other end. She had to see if she could contact the outside world. If she couldn't, then what could she do?
Ah, I see. Thanks @Crimmy; I might be able to get a post out tonight after all :]

I'll work on that now.
@Bornlucky@Mistress Dizzy@chukklehed@AdmrlStalfos19

Your characters are currently alone in this bizarro school right now, so I'm wondering what your plans are here. Looking around for suspicious things? Trying to find other signs of life? Just asking for "reasons".

Yeeaaaah... I was wondering what to post about this sudden reality shift myself...

Can I have a tl;dr on what exactly Etsu and the others should be seeing? I think I have a rough idea on that, but I'd rather not get any details wrong :/

Whoop... just noticed :/

I'll fix that right up
That makes sense.

Anyway, left my post open-ended

"Come on now, twenty-five's not "too geezery for" anything!" Etsu stated after a brief chuckle, before sighing again and guessing she was done here, "Well, thanks for all the help, Igarashi-sensei. I actually need to get going right about now. Here's my address, just so you guys know where to deliver my uniform, and um... yeah, I'll see you on Monday, I guess."

If course, this was assuming there wasn't anything that went wrong along the way, which could possibly be the case. Anyway, Etsu stood up after having written down the address for the house that she and Dai would be living in on a blank page of her diary, and gave a courteous bow before ripping out said page and giving it to Mr. Igarashi, and then taking her leave. Closing the door on the way out, she withdrew her phone and opened up Google Maps as she walked down the stairwell, positioning the map that was on display and zooming out a little so that she could see where the school was and where the station that she needed to get to was. She was actually hoping something that'd be along the way would stand out to her, but apparently there was nothing. She didn't really want to take a detour if she didn't have to, but she supposed there was no harm in scouting this part of Shikatsu out before heading home.

Etsu took the next right, moving the map on her phone around as she walked in case a place cropped up that wasn't that far from the route she was headed. Although what she probably should've done was watch were she was actually walking...

@Crimmy
@AdmrlStalfos19

Once Etsu's gotten all her paperwork and uniform allocation done, Igarashi's probably going to send her towards the newspaper club unless she has any other plans.

Now that you mention it, I could actually have Etsu potentially bump into one of the club's members on her way out. Haven't decided if that's what I actually want to happen yet, but I'll leave the possibility open :]
K, cool. Thanks @Crimmy

I'll get to posting now.
Hmm... I feel like I need Etsu to interact with more people :/

Where's everyone at, out of curiosity?
Apologies for the late post. I had a few things on my mind that stopped me from concentrating. (Admittedly, Persona 5 was one of them :/)

I'll try not to make that a habit.
