A Long Walk (Aisling and Bloonewb)

Noreene was soon asleep and slept hard the whole night. It was not until morning that she woke up. She stretched in the bed before telling the other two that it was time to get up.

"Hey there you two sleepy heads! Time to get up. In fact we are late in getting up. I hear others stirring about." Noreene spoke quickly.

All around the camp people were getting ready for the day.

"Something that we have in common. You might be better at temper losing but you have had more years to practice it." Mystique teased a little bit.

Mystique smiled at the children.

"Are you interested in building a robot? I found one that I an going to get. It is a horse. I have a doll that I will build too but I am not sure that she will mount the horse or not. " Mystique asked.

"What about an animal? We can go look at them." Fiona suggested.

"I'll remember to do that. Thanks for the good suggestion. Maybe a small office for my studies...." Mystique spoke thoughtfully.
"Also, I want to apologize for my behavior earlier. I simply lost my temper so I went to find it. Sorry, Count Dracula."

"Why don't you ask mommy? She wants to buy you something that is a kit. Is there anything here like the magnets that you need for that kind of a .... what was it again? I forgot." Fiona spoke as she looked at the kits.

"Perhaps I don't know much about unschooling but I know that if I am interrupted too many times, I will get frustrated and quit trying to learn something." Mystique spoke quietly to Dracula before turning to the children

"Both of you may have two items. The only requirement is that one must be some kind of a kit. Look around and see what you would like to have."

"Thanks, mommy. Come on Toma. I am going to look at the kits first." Fiona spoke.

"Toma, I hope that you can find one that is advanced enough for you." Mystique spoke gently to him.

"OK." Fiona spoke as she checked to make sure that she had her purse and Anna. She had both so she smiled at loan.

"I'm ready to go now."

Mystique walked over to the robotic section and heard what Dracula said.

I will be doing my studying and I don't want to be stopping in the middle of something just to do some schooling with the children. That is why I need a bit of a schedule.

That is good. If he wants to go with us, it is fine. Fiona will have a bit of a schedule. Not a strict one but I need to have a list of items to do so that I know what I want to get done. Mystique spoke as she looked at the kits.

She place a few kits in the cart for herself. She wanted to grow crystals, botany, rock hound and weather kit.

"OK. But I still don't like it." Fiona spoke in a sad tone. She looked up at loan and tried to smile.

I am planning on allowing the children two items a week from the zoo. I hope to go to other museums as well. Art, children's and the archaeology are the other ones that I hope to go to. A trip to the zoo each week and a trip to one of the other ones. I want to introduce them to music and plays. But if Toma is not allowed to go to these places, it is fine. Mystique spoke as calmly as she could.

"I don't like it when mommy is upset or hurting. I think her feelings are hurt." Fiona whispered.

With a sigh Mystique mentally spoke back

Can't I enjoy learning something new as well? Or should only the children be the ones to learn something new?

Fiona looked back to loan with wide eyes. She was clearly a bit upset.

"I don't think that mommy will want to go....." Fiona spoke as if she knew.

"I'm going inside and see what there is. I'd like to buy a few kits and let the children each choose one plus a toy. Thanks for talking to me." Mystique spoke softly as she stood up.

I will enjoy what I like and be happy with what I have. I believe that there is another world beyond this.
