Whilst the threat of aliens is both realistic and unrealistic I am strongly against it due to the fact that aliens would steamroll humanity no matter what. However I am up for the planned event thing.

^ Pretty much this. Aliens are a no vote on my end.

For the first one or two moths yes, but there be a few successful missions where we got there tech and used it against them.

How about no? There would be so many barriers to actually understanding said technology, much less getting our hands on it, that the aliens would be pretty free to execute an ELE on the entire planet before someone figures out how an alien toaster works.

From my knowledge I though only nukes could create EMPs, correct me if I am wrong.

Nope, there are weapons built specifically for the purpose of creating EMPs. The EMP is actually a side-effect of a thermonuclear detonation.

Alf, you just took what I wanted to be out of my fingers, I guess I could, however do something quite interesting and rather unrealistic, nonetheless.

=P

In all seriousness, I'm sure our ideas will be able to coexist, after all, I'm not exactly going in the direction you might think with Germany. They're more of a fascist monarchy now, going back to their roots in medieval times, and taking to isolation from all the other nations.

I will allow you to modify history to 2014. 2013 and previously cant be changed.Also on that note I will not be enforcing political realism, while I will be enforcing some realism I want people to be able to have fun when creating there nations. So if you wanted to you could change the US from Capitalism to Socialism within a few years.

Excellent, as this allows me to utilize my concept a lot more efficiently. In essence, I intend to bring Germany into a fascist monarchy that is highly paranoid, and exceptionally reclusive. Their part in WW3 would have likely been very minimal, though interesting nonetheless.

Im going to say that there would be no nuclear exchanges. In all scenarios tested launching one nuke will result in everybody launching nukes so at that point the Earth just be screwed due to the amount of radiation released.

Technically, the Earth would be fine, it's just the parasites living on it that would suffer greatly =P

I am vaguely interested in this, and have a nation idea I would like to use, if you don't mind me sweeping up Germany and changing things up in their history leading up to WW3 and to current day =D

The Division is people that were pulled from servicemen. And equipments that they would have would, be any US weapons and armor and that each branch uses, as for utilities, could you give details?

Looking primarily at a field operative, preferably special-forces, though I can roll with a spook(CIA/FBI/NSA) if spec-ops aren't something you're comfortable with for the purposes of the Division. Utilities are generally the varied kit that spec-ops and other units may have at their disposal to facilitate completion of their mission. These would be things like night-vision binoculars, thermal imaging devices and basically items that would not classify as weapons or armor. Not that I intend on having a character decked out and ready for war or anything =P I just would like to know what is and is not allowed, as there are some things that while being battery-operated and very plausible to have, I would completely understand not being able to have them.
I can confirm that I do, in fact, possess the entirety of the GRM NS, complete with linkage. I'll see what I can do about wrangling some support, but it may help to advertise the RP in other sections as well.
I have an idea for a character, though I would like to know a bit more of the fields that The Division is drawn from. Are they just reliable civvies, or are they pulled from servicemen? If it is the latter, I have a concept that I can work with. Also, what sorts of equipment would a Division agent have access to? Like in terms of weaponry, armor, and utilities?

Thanks =D
