Current you know, my SO never forces me to say a thing that's on my mind and doesn't mind if I don't always explain myself which makes it way easier to actually tell them stuff. boundaries good.

as much as I'd love to pre-plan RPs, I've also noticed that's the fast track to killing them. A little planning and a rough gist is fine, but anything beyond that and people don't wanna write no more.

Rio lazily stared out the window of the Campus' local café, eyes scanning the courtyard and watching people interact with each other. Some people were spending their time talking, others were eating together on one of the benches or on the grass. Some were playing frisbee, but all of them weren't doing anything interesting. Still, Rio had nothing else to look at and it wasn't like there was anyone sitting at her table. Her roommate was out in town with a friend and she didn't know many other people here, so Rio was stuck on her own for the lunch break. Not that she minded, Rio didn't consider any of these faceless idiots worth her time anyway. She was already in a bad enough mood from class, which was just reviewing the material they had seen last year. She understood that they needed to blitz through it again to catch up any transfer students, but it was still highly annoying how the school didn't make any advancements in their lessons.

The clanging of a porcelain teacup caught Rio off-guard and she whipped her head back to see that the Chamomile tea she ordered was now on her table. Rio politely smiled at the waiter and made the quick credit transaction, then proceeded to stir the tea with the spoon she'd be given. Rio hadn't eaten yet, nor was she planning to. All she needed for now was a drink, she'd go grab a bite later. Her next class was cancelled anyway, apparently the teacher had to go somewhere and didn't have time to teach the class. So much for being a top-rated academy...

The girl took out her phone and swiped it a few times, thinking if she should bother someone but ultimately deciding against it. The boredom was really starting to settle in, but Rio didn't have anywhere in particular to go. She fiddled around with a game for a bit, completely forgetting about her tea.
Not trying to talk you out of it, as I started with my statement. We have full license to maim our characters however we see fit. I was just trying to make sure I understood how that would all work. Dragoknighte had the same thought I did, that the weaker the connection, the weaker the stimulation.

Steel looked amused as Andre rambled on and assumed many things from him. He couldn't keep a straight face when the cellphone came out to play, planting his right hand over his one free eye and laughing pretty heartily.

"Gahaha, what kinda guy d'you think I am?! And cellphones, really?! Oh man, yer a hoot."

Steel took another few moments to compose himself, wiping away a tear that had formed around his silver eye. With a snap of his fingers a few of his lackeys ran out into the hallways for whatever reason, but there were still a good few people there. Steel looked ready to say something else, but before he could get a word out another voice rang out behind him. Slightly confused and annoyed he turned to see Megan there, alone and without any backup. Steel then laughed again, holding his stomach with both hands.

Near Andre, Genta started shuffling in place and took a step back, the previously fearful expression turning into one of utter confusion. He gave Andre a blank look, unsure what to say and looking for an answer. Luckily he didn't have to wait long as Steel started to calm down again.

"Heehoo, okay! This is rich. Gotta admit, kid, that put me in a good mood! If you n'd yer two girlfriends get outta my face now and don't bother any more of my boys, I'll even let ya walk out with the cards you stole from us."

As he said that, Steel pointed to Genta who stared back fiercely. While it was true that Genta had engaged in Ante dueling, under Andre's teachings of course, that hardly counted as stealing.
Cream nodded happily while Ben acted friendly and introduced himself. Luckily her good mood wasn't spoiled by the appearance of Joshua, because she had her back turned to him as he passed by. Cream didn't actually care for sitting, however and jumped up again from her seat. She playfully put her index finger on her cheek as she watched the duels going down in the ring.

"More than a few tips, Ben! I know a few of these girls, y'know? They wouldn't listen to me at aaaall... but you're doing great! They really took what you said to heart, y'know? So thanks!"

She turned around to face Ben again with a beaming smile, exaggerating a bow with a little twirl of her arm. Cream shot up again and snapped her fingers next to her head.

"Oh, how rude! I didn't tell you my name... oops? Well, Cream it is! Cream Noel, best grades of the Wind dorm!"

An obvious lie to Ben, he knew a lot of faces in the Wind dorm and Cream wasn't one of them. She never appeared in the hallways and none of the girls he talked to ever brought her up, but that could just as well have been chalked up to them wanting Ben for themselves. Cream didn't seem to know at all, and if she did then she was good at hiding it. She looked Ben up and down again. Then, a mischievous grin crept across her face.

"Saaay... why aren'tcha out there dueling yourself? It's your last chance for promotion, y'know? Maybe you should take on a lighty, really impress those girls... or are you trying to get an 'easy' victory from an earthy?"
Maisy encountered Lite Sothe in a pretty sorry state. The mint green-haired boy's hazel eyes were hidden in between his legs, covered by the stiff fabric of the Dark Dorm uniform. He didn't even seem to notice her walking up, his slender and tender figure shaking ever so slightly as he was crouched up against the wall.

Lite's head shot up from between his knees as Maisy tapped him on the shoulder. His face turned from fear into relief and then into fear again once he got a good look at the girl, crawling backwards along the wall to try and get away from her. His face softened up again once he heard her intentions, but not by much. The gelled-up spikes that normally shoot forward were drooped down in front of Lite's lightly freckled face, his lips trembling as he stammered out a response.

"N-No way...! I-I-I... I'd r-rather f-fail... than g-g-go o-out in the open again..."

The boy was extremely shaken and shook his head from side to side and Maisy noticed how one of the younger, female staff members had pity in her eyes as she dishearteningly looked at the scene. Maisy also knew that Lite hadn't been showing up to class or taken part in any of the exams and it probably wouldn't take too long for him to get expelled at the rate he was going, but the staff and teachers just couldn't talk him into going anywhere.
Jacklyn sighed and impatiently tapped her foot on the floor as Angelo checked the programming she'd just inserted into his runner. A scowl was plastered across her face.

"C'mon, Angelo! I'm a third year and you've known me for what, two months now? Would I seriously inject a virus into your runner when I'm basically the only one consistently practicing and helping you? Man, sometimes I really don't get you!"

She looked pretty annoyed he didn't trust her by this point, but it faded again soon after. She pulled out a coupon and tossed it over to Angelo as he was still checking out his runner, the paper landing next to his laptop.

"You've heard about the duel puzzle beta they've installed near the entrance, right? The ones where you enter a code, try to beat a challenge and get a card if you succeed? Got one of those, but I don't really care for it. Figured a first year would be helped out more with these. Later,"

Jacklyn lazily waved behind her as she strolled off towards the changing rooms. The coupon that she gave Angelo depicted various Dragunity monsters that each had a number or letter on their weapons. Jacklyn knew Angelo played Dragunity from all the practice duels they had, so it was pretty coincidental that the coupon seemed to be for that deck. Or was it? Either way, at the bottom it told Angelo to enter this into the turbo racing simulation room they'd used at the start of the year.
Haas was pretty miffed that nobody in the group gave any answer to the question he posed to them, staring blankly at his D-Ceiver to wait for anything at all to happen. Just as he was about to give up and put it away, the thing started to buzz. Not expecting this, the device slipped from Haas' hands! The boy fumbled and desparately tried to not let it hit the floor and was able to do so, but only at the cost of falling off his chair and his face making contact with the concrete. A few students laughed at the display, but Haas just rubbed his head and looked at the message.

"nate, i just said im nervos!!! if u want to duel tho i dont have an opp yet. mind duelin me in k-l??"

Haas figured Nathan wasn't the worst person in the world to duel if he had to choose, though it was still a major headache. Nathan was pretty good, probably much better than Haas was. Even worse, Nathan wasn't going to go easy with grades on the line. Actually, why did Haas even suggest this in the first place? This was a terrible idea. Unfortunately, it was a terrible idea that he was committed to. With a heavy sigh, he sluggishly rose up and lazily stared at the screen of his D-Ceiver. The boy started walking towards the arenas in case Nathan did accept, but he prayed somewhere deep down that someone else took the challenge without him noticing and left Haas to look for an easier opponent.
I'm gonna clarify that my argument on the whole thing is aimed at the point where you join a RP, not for an entire thread that already had 1000 posts before you joined. That's just an easy 100 stress.
Went looking for the scene again and couldn't find it in Yuuna's events. Then I realized I messed up and it was actually the first shou/mayu event, over the weekend. Oops?

But yeah, clearly mentions a café on campus. Can't actually eat anything there, but that wasn't really my intention either.
Let me warn you guys that talking me out of this is not going to improve the situation.

In fact, I think it's quite the opposite.
I'm pretty sure the cafe was the pilot lounge but it's ok either way I guess.

No, it wasn't. There was a clear difference made because they switched backgrounds, and Yuuna isn't a pilot.

'This is the campus' worst kept secret, because everyone else knows it's good here too!' and stuff. Not said like that, I kinda merged two different sections.
but if the werk is in culling mode and is intenting to protect the pilot, don't you think that it would prevent such nerve feedback from getting to the pilot? I donno, just thinking out loud here.

Plugsuit is what causes the link to the frame in the first place and is also what causes the damage. As long as Serah's wearing it inside of Atty she *will* hurt herself.

(Also if I don't knock her out then the situation's only going to get worse.)
Devors was sweating bullets as he maneuvered carefully around the battlefield, completely ignorant to Elise's previous orders. His brief gratification at narrowly avoiding a life-or-death shot was immediately replaced by a sense of dread as he heard the screams of the commander coming through the communications, his face twisting into an uncharacteristically serious and worried shape. Devors slowly and reluctantly turned his head to his camera feed as Ranius turned around, seeing Prometheus split in two and soaring across space.

"ELISE!" Devors yelled over the communications, frantic and desperate unlike how he usual acted. It was his fault she ended up in that state, but damnit he told her to take a step back! What was she doing following him around for?! Now he couldn't even feel good about that MIST bastard blowing up as he'd gotten his squad member hurt while doing so. Even worse, with the direction the shot came from, there's no way Ranius can speed over and tackle Prometheus' upper half to slow it down and save her! Devors slammed his fist down on his controls in frustration, sending a cute little leaf-skirted figurine on his dashboard tumbling down onto the floor.

"Son of a-! Someone, get to Elise! Make sure she's safe! And kid, if you want to bust down those turrets, I'll bust open the doors for you! I can't function inside, so I'll take care of Elise once you're all in!"

It was unlike Devors to start dishing out serious orders like these, but he had to chin up now that he caused this entire tragedy in the first place. The man circled around the middle, biding his time for when the turrets would be disabled so he could dash over and drop his entire arsenal of EMP bombs on those damn barriers, as he's not going to let the mission fail at this junction.
"Atty, calm do- GYAH!"

The feedback from Serah's plugsuit made the impact from Caretaker feel like she'd just been hit by a wrecking ball, the bendings of Atty's frail armor feeling like each of her bones being broken. She was soon slammed into and pinned against a wall. That wasn't the worst part, though. The worst part was the bone-shattering sensation she felt in her right arm, the arm that got smashed by the impact of the blast. It felt as if it twisted and contorted to unreasonable degrees, compressed and stabbed into by a million knives. The bones inside felt ready to burst out in a crimson explosion of gore, only held back because it was only her nerves that got assaulted. The pain was sharp and sudden, but replaced immediately by a burning sensation before becoming completely numb. Serah stared blankly in front of her for a few more seconds of consciousness, seeing Jason's message only briefly before her sight went dark, her tears finally stopping as she didn't have the strength to cry any more.

Atty had been trashing violently underneath Caretaker as this was all going on. Unfortunately, because of the weight of the machine pinning it and the loss of an arm, it was rendered rather helpless. It now regarded Caretaker as an extreme threat, however, and the plasma on its blade started to become unstable and violent. All it could do was taking care of the immediate threat, so the framewerk pulled their blade arm across the wall, the intense heat radiating from its blade slightly melting the metal that made up its armor. Right before it could stab, however, the frame suddenly stopped moving. The plasma wasn't held in place anymore and fell to the floor next to Atty as the sword arm lowered itself, hanging lazily next to the huge robot.
