Alright status update: I have started a new job and am currently in the process of getting used to said job. To all the games I'm currently in I will starting work on responses this weekend
11 yrs ago
Due to a misplacement of my laptop I will unlikely be able to post until Friday or there abouts. My apologies for those waiting on me.
@Sigil Lewa helped me understand the math of how it works and I used his example. I misunderstood and thought what he showed me was pre-racial mods and it was not. I will fix that and the hex-code ASAP
Ok this is my sheet, the racial modifiers have been added the character sheet is finished and it is awaiting judgement. Also I was told that we were allowed extra gear within reason so I was requesting Studded Leather armor. I bolded it in the description of the character so that you could know that it was the piece of equipment I was requesting @Sigil
Barkom is a very uptight dwarf from his demeanor to his stature. Standing roughly five feet even his deep auburn hair sits somewhat neatened flowing down to his shoulders which meets his thick chest length beard. His attire mainly consists of a thick leather trench coat over his STUDDED LEATHER ARMOR which his atop his mining pants that he keeps tucked into his boots.
Upon his person he usually keeps a leather satchel that he keeps most of his go-to items in, mostly spell components, his coin pouch, various potions, and raw ingredients to create said various potions. On his hip he keeps any documents he needs which includes different research notes and dwarven to common translations. On either hip are two dwarven made hand-axes and on his back is his family's axe Dalozzurum
A fine dwarven battle axe made with a dark wood handle wrapped in old worn leather straps. The head of the axe is slightly worn black iron and engraved with dwarven runes that line both ends of the blade. The runes are newer than the rest of the axe due to Barkom's delve into the arcane, in lieu of carrying around a traditional spell book he chose to engrave his spells onto his family axe and use it as his arcane focus.
Barkom is a no nonsense dwarf who takes his military training to heart. Always keen to follow orders despite what those order entail, there are very few times if any that there are reasons to follow orders. Among others he tends to keep people at a distance, holding people to their word and exacting the appropriate "justice" for the situation.
His only driving force is to return home to his people and find a way to overturn his exile by way of proving his worth through arcane studies. He strives to correct the mistakes of his youth and return to his people a proper dwarf.
Barkom began his life as many other dwarf children within the mountain, born to a moderately wealthy family of soldiers, he was trained from a young age in the art of war and trained with an axe and shield. His formative years consisted of training, studying and learning the layout of all known tunnels surrounding the city. Life in the early years was great, he had the love and support of his family his master respected him and he was in line to join the next scouting party for a newly discovered tunnel in the mountain. Life was good.
The expedition was longer than anticipated and the dwindling resources caused a need for a return back to the city. In the face of overwhelming opposition, Barkom managed to convince a small group to follow him farther to chase down glory and riches. A half of days travel the group was ambushed by goblins which the team fought off bravely but slain all but Barkom who managed to escape and make his way injured back to the city. The entire city was in an uproar and the ruling council decreed that due to his arrogance he had to be exiled.
Years passed and Barkom wandered the topside completing jobs around different villages and trying to make a life for himself as an adventurer. Along his journeys he took up the study of magic learning how to harness the arcane to enhance his combat prowess. His time learning helped ease him into the life of a solitary adventurer and he honors his family by using his family axe, given to him the day that he was exiled, and used it as his spell book.
He has riden his share of horses but he has never kept to close compainions with them.
So question@Sigil when/if we are accepted you send us a link to the dndbeyond game as mentioned above, does it have access to all the materials allowed here? Meaning I madebmy sheet in mythweaver if accepted could I then remake a sheet with beyond and use that instead?
Actually Im running a dwarf with a battleaxe. The restrictions on bladesinging is that it is used with a weapon with one hand, a battleaxe is versatile which can be used with one hand. I was wanting STR to be a little higher to be at least positive and everything else could be (kinda) scrapped. The figher is just a dip and yes dueling is my fighting style. Im not really caring about the MIN/MAX side of things but I think this is a fun concept because its usually elves that use this kind of wizardry so a dwarf is a fun twist. I just need the stats to make sense with the idea using this point buy system cause normally Id just use the standard array lol
Thats actually really close to what I wanted but I wanted my physical stats to be a bit higher preferably positive. To be clear this is a fighter/wizard multi specifically bladesinger
Fair enough, I am probably going to need help with it actually, from what little I understand you start with 13 across the board and if you want to up one stat you gotta drop another?
@Sigil As a question, I see your point buy system and i was wondering if it was possible to use the standard array set up? I think that it would be a good representation of a lvl 3 character
I know that the sign says full but the idea of a dnd based RP is too good to pass up. Is it possible to put a character in the wings? I will be more than willing to wait.
