Also surprised you don't have VALVe on that list, considering they make more money than a few of those on that list combined. But admittedly they don't make many games so if thats the reason then thats cool.

@Etherean Fire Probably because shes the only leader character in the Mario mainstream universe thats compitent for such a position.

Yeah they're helping me out with all this business. xD I still dunno about a weapon. I mean I can give my character one, but like I told kronshi, portals are strong enough by themselves, anything to compliment them might be a bit too much. I'm very very good at thinking with portals.

@Archmage MC I think Akaya was approving your powers. Octarine is not a gem and you must chose an actual gem. Also, how does a Grimoire help your gem's survival?

I'll be honest with you, portals are enough so I just went with a book for a weapon to show that my character just uses their abilities and doesn't engage in physical combat often at all. I just like the theme and all xD. If you have a suggestion, I can take that instead.

EDIT: tinkering around with gem names. Jeez there are a lot. Any neat suggestsions for a 'magic' kinda gem that aren't Emerald or Topaz?

Powers:
Levitate(Passive) = Antigrav, fairly straightforward.
Portals(Enhanced) = A projectile that can be detonated to create a two way connection in space-time that can be of varying shapes or sizes. Portals can be made either in the air or on surfaces. Portals made on solid surfaces are very stable and take a good while to close if not closed manually while air based portals are unstable and will close a little bit after creation. Portals can be moved while they are open, but doing so reduces their lifespan. There can only be one pair of portals open at a time.
Blink = Short range teleport that breaks the character free of bonds.

Backstory: A scientist interested in the knowledge that other worlds could bring, Marry decided that the wanton destruction of Homeworld was far too much to deal with, and rebeled to save a planet that looked like it had great potential. Plus Homeworld had stagnated pretty badly in general and wasn't that fun to be at anyway.

Hey, can I use Octarine as a gem/color even if it is something from Terry Prachet? Fits the motif I'm going for really well and sounds like a gem xD.

Ah, ok. I can easily change the weapon since the character will almost never actually use it and rely on abilities far more.

Oh, uh, either. Depends on if you want them to be an antagonist or protagonist. Or antivillain. I can try to pull a Beerus-tsundere anti villain sorta thing if you need that. I'd prefer Protagonist due to lots of character interaction, but the character can work with either and I'd have different things to enjoy and whatnot.

And as for the powers. Do they need to be 100% scientific or is some mysticism allowed? That isn't clarified in the show due to it bieng some half and half stuff.

Portals = Think a Portal Gun, just in staff form. Enhanced version can either conjure portals in air as well as on surfaces or allow portals to move while being used or both, but detonate if they're open for too long. I dunno, up to you on what limits you wanna give these. This is probably the most fluid of the abilities.

I can tinker and see if I can think of another time-space sorta thing for a fourth if you need one. Mirror (Entity or image) doesn't work really as a theme.
